We give it 5/5 stars! Reposted from @rusereviews 📚 GRAPHIC NOVEL REVIEW 📚 4.5/5 ⭐️ Sojourner "Jo" Mullein is a Black bisexual woman from Brooklyn. She's also a newly chosen Green Lantern, sent far away from Earth to protect the City Enduring--a gigantic metropolis of over 20 billion people--by their request. The city has been peaceful for 500+ years after removing the citizens' ability to have emotions. Six months after her arrival, Jo must help solve the first murder to break the peace. The world-building here is great! There are three main races in the City Enduring: the keh-topli (sentient carnivorous plant-people), the @at (pronounced at-at, "artificial intelligence" folk), and the nah (humanoids with wings and a tail). The artist did an amazing job with the different types of peoples here, cityscapes, and other backgrounds. I love their use of color. I really enjoyed this! I am finally almost completely caught up with Disney's Twisted Tales. I just started the most recent release, What Once was Mine. What if Rapunzel's mother drank a potion from the wrong flower? I'm only a few pages in but they started this story off different from any of the others already. It's set today, in our world and time. A 16 year old girl has cancer and her brother is spending time with her in the hospital. She's obsessed with Rapunzel and Tangled but he can't watch the movie or read the book anymore. Instead, he makes up his own story and this is it. I thought it was a unique and creative way to start a twisted tale unlike the previous ones. Have you read this recent release? Book Review: The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion

Rating: 3/5 stars

Review: I liked this book. I was due for a break from fantasy series and this provided a light romantic read. It was a charming book and I thoroughly enjoyed the story. The narration was kind of hard to get used to, but once I got accustomed to Don's way of speaking, it was easy to enjoy this book. I recommend this book to romance fans who maybe want a different perspective to read from.
