"Juvenile theft" doesn't normally fall under the Guard's purview, but this one has apparently been stealing from the GAR regularly -- and getting into places she really shouldn't to do it. So what they've got is a skinny redheaded urchin who refuses to talk, but whose best 'Hardened Criminal' impression fails to conceal that she knows she's in serious trouble.

"What exactly do you want me to do?" he asks his fellow Guard. Interrogation isn't part of his job description.

"We were hoping you might be able to pull the Marshal Commander card to scare her."

It's a ridiculous waste of his time, he thinks, but the sheepish looks on his vod's face tells him they've tried all non-aggressive tactics and don't want to resort to aggression until they try a few things outside of the box. Very well. He can understand that. She is a minor after all. "Fine, but the next time I have prison duty, you're doing all of my work," and letting him sleep in the single plastoid chair they keep in that tiny room.

The Guard snaps to attention, saluting, "Sir, yes, sir!"

Fox enters the interrogation room, his helmet showing an emotionless exterior, cold even. "My name is Marshal Commander Fox of the Coruscant Guard. That means I am at the top of the chain of command here. I've decided to handle this matter myself. You won't be wasting my time." It isn't a question.

There’s still Imperial influence on this planet, and the Mandalorian feels it the moment he leaves uninhabited territory and spots the rebel encampment not too far away. He doesn’t like it-- makes it so that the kid’s bassinet is shut as it floats at his side-- but he’s heard rumours of a fellow Mandalorian supporting the rebels here, and he’s hoping to everything he can that they’re a real one this time.

He’s got high ground at the moment, peeking at the main area the rebellion’s placed itself in from behind some rocks. His scope is held in one hand, and he looks around; word is that the rebel Mando’s a strategic bigwig, so he looks for what he thinks is the tent where all the strategy happens (it’s got some people standing guard outside, at least, and he imagines that’s where the important folk reside).

The Child’s bassinet opens while he waits there for a Mandalorian to appear. The Child gets a snack while he waits there for a Mandalorian to appear. And when they do-- helmeted, which is a good sign, with a symbol on their shoulder pauldron that has him pausing-- he follows them with his eyes all the way to what he presumes is their tent.

And that’s when he moves.

He doesn’t expect to move without being questioned, and he doesn’t try to look like he does, walking right up to some entrance without a care. But to the guards that refuse to let him in, he says, “I want to speak to the Mandalorian. The one who looks like me.”

One of the guards leaves him at the edge of the encampment after that to presumably find the Mandalorian he’s looking for, and he hopes that that’s exactly what they do. The Mando’s not got much going for him, and frankly he’s got awful luck like nothing else, but this is the first break he’s gotten in a while.

The bassinet, closed to his side again, floats without incident. He hopes it can continue to stay that way.

Remembering something.

“All the more reason to fight for it when you’ve found it. Come back to me with your thoughts when you find your won precious reason. I’m curious to know if your stance will change on the outlook of the universe.”

“Oh, I don’t surrender to anyone,” Issa retorts with a rather sharp sort of smirk that would seem more in its place on a predator toying with prey than on a young woman with a bounty on her head.

Does she know what the other is talking about that very bounty? Absolutely.

Is she going to let that make her deviate from running her mouth? Absolutely not.

“If you want me, I’m going to make you work for it.”

And with no more than that, she pivots and takes off running in the opposite direction, weaving through the crowded street.

Bizarrely, Janin hasn’t drawn either of her pistols or even tried to do so. Instead, she is fiddling with some gadget in her left gauntlet as she runs.

“What are you gonna do, spit in its eye?” she shouts back over her shoulder. Who’d have thought there was enough on this planet to feed something that size, let alone a breeding population of them? “Just keep moving, I have a plan!”

The rangefinder on her helmet flips down, and Janin stumbles as she tries to target the creature in her HUD (IR was dead useless for a cold-blooded creature under hot desert suns, which was why they’d nearly walked on top of it), manipulate her ship’s beckon call, and run on loose sand all at once.

“Well I’m glad you have a plan!” he exclaims, already following after her, though occasionally shooting at the creature, trying to hit one of the weak spots he knows of, but not having any luck. The creature too submerged in the sand to properly hit one of those weak points, and it isn’t close enough for the other.

Not that he’s in a hurry to get closer.

“ ’cause all I was plannin’ on doin’ was t’ make it mad! Worked last time!”

Granted, last time he was running with a(nother) crazy Mandalorian who let himself get eaten so he could plant explosives in the literal belly of the beast, but…

Of course, he notices the rangefinder dropping down––damn if he doesn’t miss that––and he has some suspicion on what she intends to do.

“Only weak point I knew t’start was the belly. I heard tell from someone else that there’s another in the sinus cavity! How good a shot ’re y’ with that thing?”

Din had continued to insist that he was fine after being sent clear across the towns square by an explosive blast. Deciding not to tell anyone how he had hit his helmet against the edge of a low wall.

He now sat upon a bench as others rushed around whilst fixing the damage that had been done to the town. Ears listening to every sound they could make out as he forced the growing worry down far enough that it didn’t show on the surface.

Those around him had enough to worry about without having to show concern and care for him.

He was determined that they wouldn’t find out that he couldn’t see.

Everything had become hazy for Cobb not that long after the town had been attacked. He couldn’t remember much after that either. Just occasional moments of lucidness where people came in and out what seemed like a cell from what he could tell.

When the door opened this time, Cobb was slouched against the wall in a corner, his hands in cuffs. The sound of footsteps making him groan and stir slightly.

Despite his insistence that he could get up on his own, Cal hadn’t moved from where he’d landed, flat on his back and just staring up at the helmeted bounty hunter.

“Yeah, I guess when you say it like that...” He sighed, then groaned when the movement made pain flare up in his ribs. He wasn’t sure, but had an inkling that this was more than a stimpack could fix.

“Maybe I do need help.” It would be one thing if BD-1 had still been nearby, but the little droid was nowhere to be found, and Cal was fairly certain that he wouldn’t make it far without him. Whether he liked it or not, he had to accept this stranger’s help. You’d think this sort of thing would have gotten easier by now.

Boba’s still not sure how he found himself in this predicament but here he is, hands cuffed above his head as he sits in a dinky little cell with a door and nothing else. He pulls his knees up to his chest as best as he can while staring at the door, waiting. He’s not sure what he’s waiting for, but he’s waiting. When the door opens he glares at the figure not able to see their face, only their shadow.
