I don't want to be a wet blanket, I love Halloween in pretty much all its ways of being... but when the decorative merch, t-shirts, etc, come out each year with the "witch this," "salem that" all emblazoned with "est 1692"...
Well, it always sort of leaves a bad taste in my mouth... because in the village in that year something really horrible happened.
Whether because of politics, land grabs, ageism/sexism, personal vendettas, economic competition, or ergot poisoned rye grain causing hallucinations and faulty thinking, it was all wrapped up in religious zeal and innocents were murdered.
So, every year at our Samhain program, I say their names and light a candle.

10 celebrities I don't think will appear in South Park
10. Steve Carrel
He's an easy going agreeable guy and Trey Parker likes him. Steve doesn't really get into much controversy, at least not any that warrents a South Park episode featuring him. Unless Steve collabs with South Park in some way I just don't think he's controversial enough to be in South Park
9. Mark Fischbach aka Markiplier
South Park isn't opposed to making episodes about online personalities and viral memes. They've done it several times. Markiplier has barely gotten into any controversy or drama that was big enough to have South Park take a jab at him. They seemed much more interested in Pewdiepie. Markiplier just isn't divisive. He's very likeable and at the worst he can be annoying to some people; so there's just nothing to satarize about him
8. Matt Berry
He's too obscure and British. I don't think Matt and Trey even know who he is. He's just too dang mysterious to write about. There's not much to say about him.
Sure, if you like WWDITS or Snuffbox, then you know him. But people who aren't into those shows have no idea he exists.
7. Gerard Way
I feel like if South Park had something so say about MCR they would have done one. In Drawn of the Posers you can see a parody of the mcr poster Demolition Lovers with the band being called "My Medical Relationship." So they know MCR exists, they're just not interested in writing about any of the members.
6. Jim Henson
South Park has done episodes about dead celebrities countless times. Steve Erwin, Michael Jackson, ect ect. They don't discriminate, they aren't afraid to poke fun at the dead.
They have made a couple of jokes about the new muppets shows on Disney+ [PC Babies and the Disney+ disclaimer.] But those felt more like a poke at Disney+ rather than Jim Henson's work. They haven't made a joke about Jim Henson yet and I don't think they will anytime soon. Maybe they're afraid of the massive Muppets fandom getting upset.
5. Rebecca Sugar
I'm gonna be honest I don't even think they know Steven Universe exists. They've referenced children's cartoons before, like YoGabbaGabba, Pokémon, Raggedy Ann, ect. But they don't really touch Cartoon Network shows or creators. Seth McFarlane has referenced Adventure Time before. I don't think it's impossible for them to reference Steven Universe or make satire of Rebecca Sugar, but I think the chances are extremely slim.
4. Jeremy Elbertson aka Jerma985
The South Park crew are familiar with YouTubers but Twitch Streamers?? Not so much. Even if they did satire of Twitch streamers their focus would probably be the sexual side or something. Jerma is WEIRD but not the brand of weird they're looking for. Also most of South Park's target audience probably doesn't know about Jerma. Jerma is just too niche to be as well known as Tom Cruize.
3. Jim Davis
The creator of Garfield! The South Park crew have referenced comic strips like Peanuts since the pilot. But Garfield is nowhere to be found surprisingly enough. Oddly enough the highschool in "Eek, a Penis" is named Jim Davis High School, after the creator of Garfield but the school itself has no ties to Garfield or the comic artist.
2. Miss Piggy
She's too powerful she would sue them so hard if they made fun of her. She's a queen and will not tolerate any disrespect.
1. Hatsune Miku
She has never done anything wrong ever

Adult Queer Fantasy that I know specifically feature on-page boning: Siren Queen by Nghi Vo (please read anything & everything by Nghi Vo) A Marvellous Light by Freya Marske A Taste of Gold and Iron by Alexandra Rowland She Who Became the Sun by Shelly Parker-Chan The Mercenary Librarians series by Kit Rocha (dystopian) KJ Charles' Magpie Lord series
Not fantasy but you should still read them: Manhunt by Gretchen Felker-Martin (horror, trans cast, firmly anti-TERF) Light From Uncommon Stars by Ryka Aoki (science-fantasy, objectively a perfect novel) Summer Sons by Lee Mandelo (horror, gay yearning) The Seep by Chana Porter Genesis of Misery by Neon Yang (sci-fi Joan of Arc) Everything by Becky Chambers Everything by Rivers Solomon Arkady Martine's A Memory Called Empire
ALSO: author K.A. Doore keeps a running list of queer adult SFF published every year. I highly recommend going through those archives, which you can find here: https://kadoore.com/2022/05/23/2022-queer-adult-science-fiction-fantasy-books/
Tl;dr: SFF is extremely gay, almost everyone writing contemporary SFF is queer in some way, we are truly blessed and I don't want to hear anyone complaining about not being able to find stuff ever again, I love you all.

A couple of weeks ago I asked about people’s favorite book or books they read this year. Between Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and discord, I have a list of 123 books in no particular order that my friends and family loved this year. If it was a series then I listed the first book. Each star is an additional recommendation. I haven’t read all of these, they may or may not reflect my personal opinions, though my favorite books are on the list too. The most recommended books were How Far The Light Reaches by Sabrina Imbler, one or all of the Murderbot books by Martha Wells, and Light from Uncommon Stars by Ryka Aoki, because if there’s one thing my friends have in common across platforms, it’s that you’re all nerds (affectionate). Enjoy, and I hope you find your new favorite book!

My Most Posted Celebrities
I've been on tumblr for ten years now. It's a long time! I've posted a lot of female celebrities in that long time, so let's have a look back at who I've posted most often. Please remember that I only post people when I have new images of them, so there are some girls who I like a lot but haven't been able to post as often as I would have liked to. And some haven't been on the list for as many years as others. But if I've posted someone like thirty times or whatever it's fair to say they're one of my favourites! So here it is, the big list of everyone I've posted five times or more. (I left Elliot Page on because I posted him a lot back in the day and didn't want to pretend otherwise.)
96 times: Elle Fanning
89 times: Hailee Steinfeld
87 times: Emma Roberts
82 times: Chloe Grace Moretz
75 times: Michelle Trachtenberg
69 times: Natalie Portman
66 times: Kiernan Shipka
65 times: Anna Kendrick
61 times: Zendaya
56 times: Gillian Jacobs, Sophie Turner
51 times: Anne Hathaway
50 times: Kristen Stewart
48 times: Hayley Atwell
47 times: Karen Gillan
44 times: Emma Stone
43 times: Scarlett Johansson
41 times: Alison Brie
40 times: Olivia Wilde
39 times: Maisie Williams
38 times: Gemma Arterton
37 times: Kat Dennings
35 times: Amanda Seyfried, Emily Ratajkowski
34 times: Bailee Madison, Mary Elizabeth Winstead
33 times: Kate Beckinsale
32 times: Abigail Breslin, Chloe Bennet, Kristen Bell
31 times: Elizabeth Olsen, Natalie Dormer
30 times: Felicity Jones
29 times: Anya Taylor-Joy, Taylor Swift
28 times: Brie Larson
27 times: Jenna Coleman, Jessica Chastain, Kirsten Dunst
26 times: Elizabeth Henstridge, Tessa Thompson
24 times: Dakota Fanning, Emilia Clarke
23 times: Dakota Blue Richards, Dove Cameron, Elliot Page, Jennifer Lawrence, Kaitlyn Dever
22 times: Charlize Theron
21 times: Amy Adams, Avril Lavigne, Lauren Tsai, Ming-Na Wen, Peyton Roi List
20 times: Margot Robbie, Nathalie Emmanuel, Pom Klementieff
18 times: Billie Eilish, Charli XCX, Sadie Sink
17 times: Ariel Winter, Aubrey Plaza, Candice Patton
16 times: Camren Bicondova, Evan Rachel Wood

8 times: Danielle Panabaker, Hannah Murray, Ivana Baquero, Jessica Lucas, Kate Mara, Katelyn Nacon, Katherine McNamara, Larsen Thompson, Laura Vandervoort, Lauren Cohan, Olivia Rodrigo, Tatiana Maslany

Maybe I should have just done "ten or more times" since "five or more" isn't as impressive after ten years, but hey it's all interesting stuff!
Congratulations to ELLE FANNING and thanks to my friend @whoiwanttoday for creating the spreadsheet I still use for this!
