Oh I knew with so much dread in my heart that people would immediately negatively compare the ending of Steven Universe to the ending of The Owl House regardless of the narrative reasons for what happened to the villains and regardless of the allegory being told and regardless of the fact that the Point both shows were trying to make was to love and accept yourself.

But I guess there’s people that aren’t willing to give the media they consume more than a surface level read because it’s easier to join an echo chamber. And I guess we all can’t just enjoy what an amazing show The Owl House was because there’s people that think it’s fun to assume Dana Terrace wrote this ending specifically to spite Rebecca Sugar and she’d want to drag the person that crawled so that she could have Lumity run.

I need a prequel-isc mini series about the Gem war with Pearl as the main character.

The series would focus on Pearl and Roses relationship, and different battles/missions for the crystal gems in war times. The midpoint would be the end of the war/diamond attack. and it would end with what pearl and roses relationship has changed to now that she is going to be gone. (Pearl's lowest moment) but the actual ending scene would be Rose giving her form to Steven and pearl meeting Steven for the first time. The overall theme would be pearl needing to realize she is not losing someone, but that life is being made, and Steven is a symbol of hope for the future.
