Goddess of Earth 🌎

The first deity in all of Greek mythology, Gaia was the personification of the earth and the universal mother. With her offspring Uranus, who symbolized the heavens, Gaia moulded the universe to her liking. Her role in Greek mythology is sometimes contradictory or surprising. She helped her son Cronus overthrow his father, Uranus, but later ushered in another new era in the history of the gods by nurturing the young Zeus and helping him dethrone Cronus. In many of her myths, Gaia also became an opponent of Zeus and attempted to overthrow him on several occasions. Adelaide was chosen for Gaia because she's the primordial MC from Romance Club.

Alexander's stories are so fun and even a bit crazy lmao his characters are unique and I love his writing.

I miss SIF's crew, especially Sebastian. I think most people don't read SIF because the visuals are very lacking... but honestly? Just give it a try anyways, I can assure y'all that you'll have a lot of fun reading that book. 

Adelaide is still the most badass and powerful MC in RC, I love her to bits ♡ 

I heard that Alexander T. was a bit insecure about his writing 'cause his books aren't that popular so I'm glad that a lot of people are reading Love, Sin & Evil now."

bugged achievements in the march update

So I'm obsessed with achievements (I have 100/118 right now lol) and have played most of the stories for achievements already. I've found some bugs that I'm really hoping Romance Club will address, so that my little completionist heart can finally be at rest with all of the beautiful achievements unlocked.

Achievement is 100% broken:

I Can Wait (WP): Doesn't unlock at the end of the story despite 100% loyalty to Alek. RC said they fixed this in a technical update, but I can confirm that it's still broken. They've now said it will be fixed in May.

Matchmaker (SIF): Achievement is not unlocking at any point despite having matched Christina, Lorenza, and Ivy. Tepish has confirmed that they've discovered the source of the bug and it will be fixed in the May update.

Enlightener (DLS): Seems simple enough--you should get this if Lale wins the science fair so that girls can study at the palace school. It makes sense for this achievement to unlock in either 1.6 or 3.6, but it doesn't appear at either place. This is the only broken achievement that RC hasn't acknowledged yet.

Achievement is attainable, but only in specific & clearly unintentional circumstances:

Amicus (HS2): This one is apparently only attainable on Dino's path. I wasn't able to get it on War or Mimi's paths, and others have reported that they weren't able to get it on Hunger or Malbonte's paths. When replaying for Dino, I did everything the same way--the only difference was my LI.

Refined Taste + Elegance (LOTW): These work fine if you still have "enough" (I have no idea how many) premium items left to buy, but are not currently working if you've already purchased everything. I think that this achievement is coded to respond only to newly purchased items, which can't be right.

Loyal Friend (LOTW): It's been reported that this one doesn't work if Takao is alive but injured at the end of the story.

Achievement is attainable, but the description is misleading/wrong:

The One Night Stand (TO2): I've seen people saying that they haven't been able to get this by sleeping with Joel while NOT on his branch (which is how it's supposed to work), but they HAVE been able to get this while they ARE on his branch (the opposite of how it's supposed to work). So you can get this achievement, but you have to ignore what the description says.

The Grand Gesture (TO1): The description makes it sound like Evan needs to interrupt the show to unlock this achievement, but that doesn't work. The only way to get this achievement is to choose "no one" in the final episode while romancing Evan, and he'll then confess his love for you off camera. So, again, you can get the achievement, but you have to ignore the description.

So, yeah. If you're playing for achievements, hopefully this post will help!

Do you know if RC will ever bring back Love from outer space? What happened to the author?

Hello anon,

So I checked the author's page again:

His latest posts are reblogs of SIF and LfOS fanarts, however in late January he went to the hospital again. He shared his cardiogram in there and spoke about his blood pressure problems (I won't share screenshots here this time as I feel this is far to personal for the author to post it on my blog)

I know I always repeat myself about how LfOS will return soon, however he confirmed he is writing and people have found episode descriptions for new episodes in the files back in December.

I doubt the story will be discontinued, since as far as I know, RC is currently looking for a new writer for The One since the original author left because of personal issues, so it's really doubtful discontinuation would happen to LfOS. So currently, all we can do is to hope Alexander will recover, pray for his health and wait.

Sorry I don't have any other answer for you :/

Landing

Captain Hawkins watched the viewscreen and once again sternly reminded himself the planet below him was supposed to be that color and the sensors did not need to be calibrated.  The planet in question a brilliant world of brilliant white clouds that seemed seemed normal, it was the brilliant purple ocean that was throwing him off.  Even the land seemed shaded toward the purple end of the spectrum.  

Fialová was an unusual name for a planet, Purple in Czech, but once he saw the place the name was well suited.  

   "Lieutenant Michaels, you have the helm, initiate Saucer Separation and lets take her down."

  "Aye sir, initiating Separation sequence."  

  "Turbolift shutdown"

  "Aye, Turbolift shutdown confirmed"

  "SIF and IDF fields to internal."

  "Aye, SIF and IDF fields to internal confirmed"

  "Disengage and retract Clamps"

Below, more heard than felt, a series of heavy thunks rolled through the deck as the massive locks retracted into the secondary hull.

  "Confirmed, all clamps released. RCS firing"

Small thrusters pushed the primary saucer away at a leisurely pace.

  "We are clear of the secondary hull sir."

  "Thank you Lieutenant. Rig Shields for Atmospheric entry and take us in"

Hawkins sat back in his seat and watched as Fialová grew filling the entire viewscreen listening to the slowly increasing roar of atmosphere around the ship as it dropped lower the Deep black of space giving way to a Dim violet before being obscured by shield flare and the brilliant glow as kinetic energy was shed in fiery heat.

Slowly a firm but still gently shaking worked up through the seat and under the feet as an increasingly thick air buffeted the ship slowing it even further till  they broke out of a glowing cocoon of gas still far above the clouds.  Beneath them rolling hills and mountains of the only major land mass passed almost featureless, hidden by thick blankets of clouds which were growing closer by the second.

"Sir, we are sub-sonic" announced Lt. Michaels as the saucer dropped out of cloud-bank now only a few hundred meters off the water, reflecting the brilliant purple from the sky broken by bits of foam from a brisk wind whipping at the water.

"On final approach,  forward speed is,  20 meters per second, Altitude 50 meters."

With thrusters firing and spraying out water into a fine misty cloud clothing the gleaming white of the saucer in rainbows it settled into the water.

No, the author of LfOS - Alexander Tepish - is not the author of the new story 😅 You see, currently there are two writers named Alexander working for RC; A. Tepish (SIF and LfOS) and A. Shut/Jester (yes shut in Russian means jester) (MB, LOTW and the new story)

Replaying SitF and I'm not sure if I should stick with Sebastian or not! What would you say are the pros and cons for every LI?

It's been a while since a replayed SIF and didn't play all of the routes, so I had a little help with the Wiki! If you don't mind some spoilers, here its is:

Unfortunately some don't have good screen time, but they have a good route anyway.

Sebastian de Aldana: It's probably the LI with the most depth in the story. And the LI who has more screen time too. He's sometime a grumpy guy (not so much?), but with a heart of gold. In the last season we get to see his backstory.

Upon first meeting Adelaide: He is very cautious and rude towards her. He is very tough but also welcoming, and seems to care about Adelaide's well being. You can tell that he has feelings for her in the beginning. He can come across as being quite pushy if you decide you don't want to romance him. He is friendly toward his crew and treats them with care.

William:

We meet him right at the beginning of the story, but the MC and him only get together and meet again some time later (long story, you'll understand). I've never taken his route, but I believe he's a good LI. We have to reject Sebastian to bring up his options.

William was born on the island of Santo Domingo. A young, adventurous boy, he wanted to to become a sailor. When Adelaide first meets him, he is being harassed by Diego de Ochoa's soldiers and she defends him. He is so smitten with her that he kisses her and confesses his love for her, however she only sees him as a child. Thanks to his bubbly and sunny personality, William always has a plan and a smile on his face.

Chris:

It looks like a good route too. There are a plot twist with this one 👀, also we have to reject Sebastian to bring up the romantic options.

While living on a wild island, Adelaide happens upon the Walrus, a pirate ship moored for repairs. There she meets a young man named Chris. The rest of the crew is rude and unfriendly, while Chris is kind and supportive.

Jackie:

We see a flashback to his past. He's a good LI, caring and kind.

He is one of the bravest and friendliest characters. His character shows that the crew likes him for who he is regardless of his skin color, which at the time was a cause of discrimination. His interactions are sweet and romantic.

Lorenza Capulet:

I don't remember her so much.

After boarding the small ship and easily disarming its merchant crew, Adelaide goes under the deck and meets Lorenza, a noble lady who is sailing from Italy to Martinique. She is frail and emaciated, as she is staying out of the sun not to spoil the whiteness of her skin. Her eyes don't hurt because she uses eye drops made from belladonna herb, that also dilate her pupils - something Lorenza thinks people find beautiful.

The amount of screen-time this character has and her plotline in this book are significantly influenced by your choices. She can have several possible endings: you can abandon her to her destiny (and in that case her presence in the story will be minimal), you can let her join the pirate crew, keep her as a friend, decide to match-make her (or not) with one of your pirate friends, or you can have her as your Love Interest and marry her at the very end of the story.

Clive Wellington

I particularly think he's annoying

Clive is a gentleman of propriety and principles, at one moment ready to shout his absolute love and admiration, at another shy and reserved. Good swimmer and attentive lover, also, reveals himself as a bit of a perfectionist, with a need to have everything noted and marked in the calendar.

They can be allies or in a relationship depending on the player's choices. ❗ If you want to romance him, Adelaide has to stay single until Season 2, Episode 10, otherwise, you won't get the romantic option! ❗

Jorge de Fantasma:

Some people played his route says it's great.

Jorge is a former Spanish nobleman and the captain of "The Penitent Thief." He first appears in Season 3, Episode 7: The Council. As Adelaide, you have the option to begin a romance with Jorge in Season 4, Episode 6: Weekdays and Holidays (if you recruit him as an ally). As a romantic partner, Jorge is a sweet, protective and attentive gentleman, offers to give Adelaide whatever her heart desires, and vows to stay with her forever.

Kai the Whaler:

This is a fun guy! His route is an interesting one!

Kai is always prepared to battle and thinks the way to solve his affairs is through dueling which he shows Adelaide during the Council of Captains. Due to his reckless nature and barbaric methods, he lost several crewmates. Kai the Whaler is a hothead who only respects power.

Manta:

His route is interesting too. You can have his romantic options and a endgame while you have a main LI, I think it doesn't affect in the main one.

Charon (Manta) is the spirit of dark magic and lord of the shadows in Sails in the Fog. He is a dark spirit and can only be pursued on the path of black magic. Manta will come to her aid no matter what the situation is and even offers her a deal to become one of his slaves (Slaugh). She has the chance to reject, which makes him happy or accept his offer. If she accepts his offer he tells her to live her life to the fullest, love as much as possible, and have adventures because eventually colors will become dull and she will lose her emotions and eventually her voice. Upon meeting he comes off as flirty and seductive towards Adelaide and she will have multiple chances to seduce him and vice versa for him since it is only a dream.

Mermaid:

Same as Manta, but with the White Magic path.

Mermaid is a light spirit, the spirit of white magic and keeper of the glade. She can only be pursued on the path of white magic. She was once a human who took a deal in exchange for immortality. She admits to not remembering her previous life or why she took it in the first place. Upon meeting she comes off as calm and seductive. Adelaide will have multiple chances to seduce her and vice versa for mermaid since it is only a dream.

Samedi and Brigitte:

They're casual love interests.
