the biggest mystery about Marvel Rising is how the hell Patriot survived being trained by Captain America because pretty much every time he's on screen in Secret Warriors he's like "that's cool, but what if we did it without breaking any rules?", meanwhile Captain America (at least in the MCU, no idea if it's any different in the Marvel Rising universe) lied on his army enlistment forms like six times and probably has a bingo card with rules he's planning to break and I can't even begin to imagine how frustrating that must have been for Patriot

Two characters are unnamed because while the Champions have twenty four listed members, one of them is Devil Dinosaur, and the other is Scott Summers. The first is a dinosaur. The second will be a mentor. Also Cloud Nine is cut bc the gender divide between the champs was 13-11, and she was the one I knew about the least, so I replaced her with Speed, which was explained in the ticket I wrote for him

Gabby is a Career Tribute, but she meant to wait longer before volunteering, but districts one two and four were stopped from doing that

Joaquin is in District 2 bc in the MCU they put him in the Air Force

District 3 is tech, so Riri is obvious. But David from his time working for hero support.

Qureshi is on the beach bc his portal powers help him smuggle people over the ocean, which is a major part of his backstory, and the overall plot of the fic.

Viv is in the power district so she can absorb all the newly generated power

Kamala and Kareem are in transportation district bc. Their adventure on the train. (This isn't going to ship them I just thought it was a fun connection)

Miles is in textiles bc spiders. Weave. Haha.

Amka is in textiles for a better plot reason. So that when she gets involved with people in her district helping others escape the country, she picks up on the patterns they weave into cloth to send messages, and then use that knowledge when she gets her northern lights powers.

Fernanda is in grain to guide escaping people through the fields.

Sam is in grain bc. Aliens. Crop circles.

Lunella is with livestock to get her used to working with large animals before she meets Devil Dinosaur in the Arena

Amadeus is working in District 11 to crossbreed plants for max yield. He's very respected for this, which allows him to work on the Hulk formula and control sleeve, though that isn't allowed into the Games.

Tiana (with Amadeus' help) operates a set of mechanical wings to speed up harvest. Only allowed bc she had a rope attached to the ground tied around her.

Victor's power is to sense the history in a place, and draw power from it. He is able to use the relative freedom of District Twelve to get pulled into anti-capitol movements gathered in centers of their old culture.

Do you have a rough idea on what Cap 4 could be adapting or what the story could look like? Sabra is sooooo violently racist, I heard someone say that she could be a homelander-esque figure (which makes sense cuz marvel would want to hop on the trend)

I'm also very confused why there is so much of hulk related stuff?

I don't think marvel would go that far with the whole homelander-esque thing??

And there's barely any details out about the movie besides the characters so i can't make out a lot and the mcu likes to pull from different sources with everything and everyone.

All I know is that it's gonna be about sam leading a team with joaquin and possibly the Bradley's? Which could hint to his falcon 2017 run and captain america 2017 run where he mentored joaquin and rayshaun lucas (the 2nd patriot).

And as for the hulk stuff...I don't really know?? The only connection sam has to the hulk is that his nephew (jim) was best friends with the hulk and helped him out and stuff when he got treatment for aids.

And I think Gideon (sam's brother and jim's dad) gained Dr Samson powers bc he was angry at the hulk for his son's death. But other than that? Nada.

Y’know what’s ANOTHER thing that’s pretty lit that kinda faded into obscurity? 

MARVEL RISING

This is a pretty small multimedia franchise that was released in 2017 by Marvel Animation using some of their comic book characters. It includes 2 comics, 2 short films, 1 full length movie, and 5 tv specials. The basic story is the Secret Warriors, a diverse team of teenage superheroes who must band together to defend the world from powerful threats. The main protagonist is Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, a Pakistani Muslim teenager from New Jersey who is obsessed with superheroes. The animation, and character design is really good and each character is unique. The Secret Warriors, as a team, are not only compelling characters, but they’re extremely diverse. The team consists of Kamala Khan/ Ms Marvel, Doreen Green/ Squirrel Girl, Gwen Stacy/Ghost Spider, Daisy Johnson/ Quake( Asian), America Chavez ( Afro Latina and a lesbian), Inferno / Dante Pertuz, and  Patriot / Rayshaun Lucas. 

There’s also a short series on the Marvel youtube channel called “Kamala Khanfindetial” where Kamala shows us more about these characters. 

All of it is avalible on youtube and overall, its a fun show that’s really underrated

Bring Back Eli Bradley, cowards.

Today Elijah Bradley appeared on “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.” He is played by Elijah Richardson.

This is actually the first time fans have really seen Eli since the end of the “Avengers: Children’s Crusade” storyline in 2012. Since then he has been replaced by a new Patriot, Rayshaun Lucas.

I know eight years might not seem like a lot to you young’uns. But I miss him. It’s not that I don’t like Rayshaun. But Eli has a legacy that seems to have been neglected.

All we really know about what he’s been up to is that he’s doing voter registration in Arizona. I would LOVE to see that book. Eli our there organizing, and the bad guy is Voter Suppression Man or something.

Please, Marvel, just tell me what he’s been doing. I know it’s been important, whatever it is.

Kate Bishop had her own book. Hulkling is an Emperor. But the leader of their team is just gone? I on,y get to see him in the background at weddings?
