The blue haired look-a-like family headcanon AU I have in my head.

Ever since seeing this, and learning about Sieghart and Justice, I have been getting this AU in my head.

Picture this.

Sieghart is the father

Mystogan, Jellal and Siegrain are triplets

Justice is the younger brother

Wendy is the baby sister we all need in our lives.

One blue family. But set it in a modern era.

The guilds are houses in Fiore School which serves as a Junior High School and a High School.

-Mystogan and Wendy belongs to Fairy Tail house.

-Jellal and Justice belongs to Crime Sorciere house.

-Siegrain is a part of the student council.

All uniforms are different. Fairy Tail is purple. Crime Sorciere is dark blue. Lamia Scales is green. Blue Peagus is light blue. Student council is white.

2/3 triplets aka Jellal and Siegrain are mischievous and they tend to swap uniforms. No one can tell who is who between the triplets. However, Wendy and Justice are always able to tell the triplets apart by their eye colour.

-Jellal has blue eyes

-Mystogan has green eyes

-Siegrain, Wendy and Justice has brown eyes.

The teachers have never noticed the eye colour difference so they usually pray that the boys are in their assigned classes and not mixed their classes by attending to the other's class. Jellal and Siegrain does that a lot. They tried getting Mystogan to join but he flatted out refused. It's mainly Jellal and Siegrain that the teachers get mixed up. Mystogan usually wears a face mask so it's easier for the teachers to know that it's him and not Siegrain or Jellal.

The siblings all have different hobbies and likes:

-Mystogan: Going out on walks, biking, reading in quiet places.

-Jellal: Hanging out with his friens, spending time with Erza and playing the father role to Meredy.

-Siegrain: Reading, pulling pranks and annoying the fuck out of Mystogan.

-Justice: Reading about space, making random DIY stuff and arguing with Elsie.

-Wendy: Gardening, looking after her kitten (Carla) and patching her brothers up after they get into fights.

They also hang out in their own groups

Mystogan: Edolas (Ezra, Coco, Sugar Boy and Hughes)

Jellal and Siegrain: Troublemakers (Ultear, Meredy, Cobra, Midnight, Angel, Racer and Richard)

Wendy: Natsu group (Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Gray, Juvia, Gajeel and Levy).

Ships

Sieghart is a single dad. Can't picture him being with anyone.

Mystogan with Ezra Knightwalker. Ezra is just Erza Knightwalker just spelt differently. Erza and Ezra are cousins and it was after the offical documents were placed that the two cousins share the same name

Jellal with Erza Scarlet. I swear if I could punch this man, I would. Jerza for life.

Siegrain with Ultear. I think they'll be quite cute together.

Justice with Elsie Crimson. It's canon, they deserve a happy ending (even if they fight all the time).

Wendy with Romeo. They're cute together.

I really want to find some bases and draw them as a father now. I'm doing it.

Sieghart my beloved,,,,,,,my king,,,,,, I miss him

Sieghart

Absolute dry, deadpan humour. That doesn't sound any different from his normal tone so no one can ever tell if he's joking or not. Every conversation is like a game of russian roulette with him.

Easily the most well travelled person that Haru and co. have ever met. Has been to almost all corners of Symphonia and knows loads about the history and lore of a lot of cities and cultures.

A ridiculously light sleeper. He travelled by himself for a long af and was always on the lookout for danger so he had to be alert. Probs gets 4 hours max and does little cat naps for the rest of the time.

Even though he is a great hand to hand combatant and no doubt one of the best magic users in Rave Master he absolutely sucks at any sort of weapon and he vehemently avoids using em at all cost. No one can ever know.

When he chills out and becomes allies with the squad they think his serious look is something grim or kinda unnerving but that's just his thinking face.

Jellal

Looks composed but is reckless. Genuinely would do a last resort move first. If his arm was stuck under a rock his first thought would be to cut off his arm.

Despite an aspect of his magic being based on speed he's not very fast outside of that. If he doesn't use Meteor he is slow af.

Still isn't completely used to being pardoned for his crimes and not being hunted by the government so he still avoids major towns and cities. Its gonna take a while.

He has lots of leftover scarring from his time when he was abused in the council prison. Some have faded but most won't.

Is drawn to open spaces on his travels. Beaches, large fields, glades whatever. He likes being out in wide spaces where he can see on forever.

Bonus:

If these two were in modern AU they'd be cousins and everyone would say they look alike but they wouldn't see it.

!!HEY SPOILERS!!

Volume Seventeen of the Rave Master manga’s front and back cover and my favorite images and panels out of this book.

This is another volume that really makes the reader wonder what forces are good and which are evil and how fair life has been to either.

[top panel] Can we just take a second to hugely appreciate that the entire first chapter in this book including between-chapter images is shaded?! It’s so cool! This is a favorite panel because Musica is my favorite character and this shading is so good but I also love his attitude toward malicious villains. The whole hero group is so sternly opposed to evil and Musica is but one example of this.

[middle left image] Doryu’s dark, regal aesthetic/attitude has layers: wanting the whole world to enter an age of total darkness with despair, doubt and fear dominated by himself he’s a seemingly sinister adversary drawn perfectly into his role, where we’ll have to wonder what is good and evil, light and dark...when long ago our villain here was condemned to darkness by light. Doryu was a demon sentinoid lord from the Mystic Realm that dreamed big enough to build a whole city for humans and sentinoids (unusual sentient beings) to coexist but the original city collapsed under hatred and racism. Even as it crumbled Doryu didn’t give up the city, after sentinoids abandoned the city the remaining humans pushed Doryu into a prison with literally no light. The present battle’s setting of a crystal forest where souls apparently gather that can change glow from light to dark is a really great one...it is the ruins of the city Doryu once built, Olbesk, which he has kept with him, on his ship, for a very long time... The lore here is pretty heartbreaking.

[middle right image] Not only does Ruby save the whole group with his magic but he goes on to explain briefly the eight magical affinities in the universe and if that wasn’t wise enough Ruby’s description also stresses that lots of bad people have a dark affinity but a dark affinity doesn’t just mean that a person is bad. To a goth this sort of thing is a breath of fresh air and to top off that, statements like this should prompt a reader to wonder about the nature of affinities... as Haru will say later: ‘There’s justice within both light and dark!’ Ruby tells everyone else their affinities: Haru, Ellie and Plue are light. Musica is thunder. Let is fire. Celia is sea. Uni is earth. Griff is water and Ruby himself is wind. He mentions that there is an ultimate affinity beyond the eight, and the reference picture is Sieghart, and mentions that magic is knowledge and opposite magics are weak points to each other...and then Ruby realizes he’s said too much in front of Doryu as he usually does! DERP. He still helps fight Doryu’s magic despite that though!

[lower middle panels: the pages read left to right (proper manga format) & lower middle image] Doryu’s city, Olbesk’s tragic demise. A good and decent man’s dream of multiracial peace...shattered, and how he didn’t just give up on it no matter how sad and rejected he was - even when they replaced his Mayor’s status. The little boy that is pictured with the cross on his face was the first human that Doryu ever met that thought sentinoids were cool... After this event the humans locked Doryu in a light-less prison for a hundred days without food or water wherein a wizened Doryu found his Sinclare fragment, ‘Vampire’, and could no longer resist suppressed evils. Now he wishes all life to suffer darkness. Who wouldn’t cave under such devastating tortures? As Doryu explains it all to our heroes even they seem to grasp the horror of such a fate and cannot change Doryu’s mind. Doryu transforms back into a fearsome form that he’d previously hidden from the surface world - a demon lord. It’s very tragic but it’s epic tragedy.

[lowest image] Regarding his duty as stopping evil from harming the innocent, Haru yanks Vampire off of Doryu’s neck and cuts him with the Ten Powers’ eighth form ‘Solar Blade: Million Suns’. One of the persistently coolest things in Rave Master is that participants in the battles get reasonable chances to show their stuff and the backstories all have valid tie-ins where characters and motives make a lot of sense - like how Haru needed his friends’ unshakeable wills to weaken Doryu. He couldn’t wield Rave to defeat evil alone and this story seriously wants the reader to know that. It’s the perfect epic journey still.
