Baron Afanas is such self esteem and attitude goals. He was accidentally charred down to basically a torso, arm, and head. Buried in the ground, thought dead. Came back in said form. Still lived his best life. Started his own family with The Sire and Hellhound. Got a cute house in the woods. Was wished back into full form, looking better than ever. Didn't let it go to his head. He is so approachable. And he gives advice. He is everything!

i thought i had escaped the post that tried to take a statement on discord out of context, about durge and astarion being a 'canon ship' or w/e, but alas it showed up on my dash. i don't have the energy to go through this kind of bs w/ bg3.

i don't care how much more dialogue a character has w/ another character. i don't care what you think is implied though a vague statement made by a writer or VA. shit like that is what caused a lot of people in the DA fandom to get harassed by so many braindead people in the fandom because their ships were "not canon". the fact that it was also added in because of crunch is a huge disappointment. it's allowed to be your canon but it doesn't make it canon for the game in general.

you know, I get that a lot of people joined DC fandom during the nu52, when Cass and Steph weren't around, but I still get annoyed when 1. Cass isn't included among Bruce's kids, and 2. Steph isn't included among the Robins. I can read and enjoy a story without them there, but I will also low-key be wondering the whole time where they are.

I don't remember that much of my childhood, but today I suddenly remembered that one time when I started a Tolkien inspired war at my school when I was 7-8 years old.

The war lasted for a week, the entire elementary and middle school joined. We had different armies, all inspired by different characters (I was in the Mickey Mouse army, we had a "general" who was an older boy who would wear a Mickey Mouse hat on the "battlefield", I was his right hand man lmao). We fought using sticks and by throwing chestnuts which we collected in great hordes, the army who stole all the chestnuts from the opposing armies won.

Then the teachers learned of it and they were horrified. They rushed to break it up and got hit with our chestnut artillery in the process. I don't remember how it ended, just that we were sad about it and we had to talk to therapists (???) afterwards.

I can't believe we are a day away from diving into this game, and getting lost in it for the foreseeable future. I will be probably be pretty inactive for the next week or so, as I really want to enjoy this game w/o the risk spoilers. Even in EA, this game seriously means so much to me already. It brought my love for character creation back (15 Tavs and counting lol) and inspired me to learn how to gif, just so I could be extra self indulgent. I've also met some pretty amazing people because of BG3. I'm still in disbelief that we will be experiencing the full thing tomorrow.

I have completed my journey and finished BSG tonight. I always forget how emotional that finale is. I mean it's three parts of action, emotion, closure, and of course new beginnings.

Every time I rewatch BSG it never ceases to amaze me how good it is, it really is a complete series. None of the seasons falter in quality. It has a great beginning, middle, and one hell of an end. I don't know how the fandom feels about the ending but I think it is perfect. I'd go as far to say it probably has the best ending of any series I've watched. It doesn't leave me pissed off or disappointed. I also really enjoy the bittersweetness of the finale with the flashbacks of the characters lives before the attacks. Ugh if I had a better way with words I could keep going on how great of a series this is.
