I have to imagine something to this effect has been asked before, but how’d u come up w the name Smunker?

i dont like giving fursonas names because it took me forever to pick my nickname Cheye as a name for myself bc nothing else fit, I don't often like any other names for myself. And refering to a sona as self would be embarrassing considering I self ship with ocs.

So my sonas all have funny names like Skunker, Quacker, or no names at all, etc.

I think its funny ppl always send me this like no way...smunk..., bc this is literally the origin of me calling him smunker LOL

So I finished ep 3 of osnf.

First of all what the fuck second of all what the fuck third of all did it have to be spiders?? That's like. Awful. Actually awful. I've made it a point to not read the titles of the episodes before watching (if I can avoid glancing at it) so I go in as blind as possible and eeughhh. Actual nightmare scenario. Except I think the whole series is a nightmare scenario so that's kind of a moot point but come on.

Anyway uh. That was devastating. What finally got me choked up was in ep 4 when Ceasar is standing above Christopher's grave and says, "It's cold, Dad. It's cold inside, too. But I think you'll keep me warm." Fuckkkkkk. (This probably isn't an exact quote, I'm going based off of memory. It was a gut punch, is my point. I don't cry at movies/books/etc very easily so choked up is as far as I usually get and it's still saying something.)

Goddddd and the fact that Christopher died, and then it was Liz's turn, and then she got the monster in the head and killed it. That would be the second time she's a moment too late in saving one of her friends. The. Second. Time. (The first being with Daniel in the bunker, saying Gabriel's name too late.) If she'd done it moments sooner, then all of the tiny spiders devouring Christopher would have exploded, and he'd be in critical condition, but he would've been alive. Also, Liz dragging an unconscious Thiago away from the monster's remains after being a second too late is such a hard-hitting moment of deja vu. Christ.

While I'm so so so sad that Christopher is gone (he was such a golden-hearted man, ueueue), I'm equally glad that he gets a final moment in the beginning of ep 4 with Thiago. Because when ep 3 ended, I sat there feeling like Christopher's sacrifice was in vain. Like, he didn't kill it, and he really didn't do much to hinder the spider during the chase. Like, it was *this* close to devouring Ceasar before Liz fired her second flare, finally killing it.

However, with the beginning of ep 4, we see that Christopher grabbing Thiago's hoodie actually meant Christopher stopped him from passing through that "door" in the maze, which he probably wouldn't have come back from. Christopher helped Thiago hold on for those extra vital seconds before Liz finally killed the spider. Also, we get to have some final words from Christopher, as well as a final moment between him and Thiago, which is really nice since Thiago's character had to take a back seat for a couple sessions due to complications, and their characters have shared history concerning Thiago's father. All in all, Christopher's death was a lot more satisfying than it could have been. (Also I was SO happy to see Christopher one last time at the beginning of ep 4. I'm gonna miss him so much </3)

I like to think Zavok has the vibes of an old war veteran who occasionally tells his tales of past battles.

In fact, that's probably one of the few long time-consuming things Rough & Tumble have patience for.

Like, Starline explaining the plan for their next misson? Nah.

Zavok storytelling the time a Giant Acid-Creating Sandworm nearly ate him whole back on Lost Hex? They're listening for the next 2 hours.

Like those skunks get hyped up for it on the edge of their seats and everything.

I just want to say how happy I was to see Zavok’s interactions with the Deadly 4.

I just also so badly wish we could've seen him and Rough interact more. Like Zavok & Tumble got along pretty well in Bad Guys, but we never saw Zavok really talk to Rough until Issue 4.

Plus, I really enjoy the idea of Zavok being that stoic leader the skunks look up to.

I swear this group deserved found family vibes even if they're villains.

there’s been a lot of drama in my friends group recently that i won’t go into lol. but recently one of my best friends came out as a fox therian and i told him “it’s okay you are my friend” but on the inside i was like “OH MY GOD ME TOO”

so now we are both turned into fuzzy creatures but he doesn’t know i am

So a very common thing in ye olde animal kingdom is scent marking from the scent gland under the jaw.

Which is to say it is absolutely not uncommon for people, especially alphas, to come up behind friends/significant others that are shorter than them or sitting down and just…rest their chin on their hair as a subtle (or they think so at least) way of scenting.

Also hair holds odors really well so a scenting like that would linger for quite some time.
