‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Series Episode 1 Review

Spoilers ahead!

Okay I’m doing it! I'm finally watching the show. I've read mixed reviews. Some people love it. Some people hate it. Some people are meh about it. I'll be honest, I love Obi-wan and Anakin and I'd be happy with any crumbs that Disney throws at us that involves them so I am very much biased. I hope I am entertained. Let's go!

Already loving the montage that's supposed to bring us up to speed. Has a real prequel vibe.

It's insane how much young!Anakin and older!Anakin look alike. The casting was insane.

That moment when Obi-wan slices Anakin in half still gets me. I gasped as if I didn't know what was coming.

Okay, why are the kids running in the halls where there is battle going on? Couldn't they have stayed hidden I that room they were in? It makes more sense to barricade themselves there instead of risking to be hit by a blast or worse.

Aw, the teacher is dead. :/

Why didn't they go after the Jedi from the diner? They let him off too easily.

I sense a conflict between Reva and the Grand Inquisitor.

Ben I'd looking like a whole snack. 👀👀👀 I know he's supposed to be tired and old, but I find him gorgeous.

Living in a cave? Love it. It's minimalist. Also, that's how I felt when I was living alone in my dorm.

Final thoughts: I liked it. A lot. It was a good episode. Not too exciting, but it is setting things up and that's what a first episode is supposed to do. Also, I've seen people say the show isn't dark enough. But st the same time, a bunch of kids watched their teacher die, a man was hanged and left there as a warning to the others and someone lost their hand. How much darker can it get? I have to resist the urge to binge watch the whole show, just because that isn't exactly a good thing to do. But i will continue with these! See you next time!

OH COME ON! SHE DOESN'T LOOK THAT BAD! she probably shouldn't be so fancy free with so many new and unwanted houseguests crowding into her poor little home. As dilapidated and below living standards it was, Ramshackle dorm was now her home and she'd really of liked it to stay that way. But she's nothing if not a gracious and understanding hostess! (BETTER THAN A CERTAIN BIRD-BRAIN.) But still, not being able to prance around her ghostie infested dormitory in whatever she wants anymore is such a drag. Cause all these boys were here, doing all their boy stuff, with their stinky deodorant and ruining the décor. For all the sketchiness that Octavinelle brings they're at least the most tidy and polite. She can thank Azul for keeping them on a tight leash. Everyone else though? UGH...

Yuyu thought she was in the clear considering it was half - past - ass o'clock here in Twisted Wonderland EST and everyone was snoring loudly in their beds. She trudged out of her room. Not all dolled up, wearing just an oversized t-shirt, short-shorts and a long fluffy robe that she bought online because she deserved it. Being a night owl herself she was using this relative silence for some much needed R & R so she was wearing a face mask. Had pulled the hair out of her face in a bunny headwrap and she was scooting down the hall to the kitchen to find out if cucumbers over the eyes was really something people did. Until she wasn't.

The sound of increasingly fast footsteps rung loud and clear in her ears, and the vision of a seafoam green was a bolt thundering right towards her. Her babbling couldn't get questions out fast enough she ended up just shrieking in confused fright at Sebek who was about to maul her.
