Request from @littlemsstark3000: What about TonyNat as platonic friends but they are subconsciously being couple-y already? Like how much they know about each other’s whereabouts, or how they attend to the other’s needs, or how concerned they are of each other, people around would really mistake them as more than friends. ---------- Natasha had just picked up her paneer makani from her local Indian restaurant and was ready for a casual night in, when her phone rang. She fished it out of her pocket and checked the caller ID – it was Tony. She tapped the green button and held the phone against her ear.  “Stark if you’re about to tell me that aliens are attacking I swear –” “No.” His voice sounded strange. Trying hard to stay that way.” “Good.” She let go of the breath she’d been holding. “I want you to get in your car right now, and drive to mine. Can you do that?” “Yeah.” He sounded almost like he was convincing himself, too. “Yeah, I can do that.” “Good. I’ll see you in half an hour.” “Okay.” Tony promised. I Ship It Both

What made you ship it?

Thenamesh: why would you even ask abt them, ya'll know i'm literally obsessed with them 😩 honestly, i didn't expect them to love this much, mostly bc i usually don't like jolie (tho, this film proved that it's not her i don't like, but that any character she plays is always a sex object and as thena for the first time she wasn't which changed my mind a lot), but seeing the pure love these two have for another? the sheer devotion? god, i was so gone for. their canon relationship holds my heart hostage istg

IronWidow: simple; i ship tony with basically everyone inside and outside of the mcu. the only thing stopping me is the age if someone's too young for him, otherwise i'm literally down for any tony ship ever lol. also, they're both my very faves so ofc i ship em together ;)

What are your favorite things about the ship?

Thenamesh: i already made a post abt them a while ago, so i won't get too deep into it bc otherwise i'll be gushing abt them for-fucking-ever and this post would get way too long lmao. mostly, it's their gentleness. thena and gilgamesh are both incredibly strong warriors and therefore could easily be rough with each other, but they choose not to. they choose to be so gentle and oh so soft with each other, and that - that rlly gets me. they love each other so clearly and they are so devoted to each other. they had me crying more than once in the film, i just.. love everything abt their relationship so much.

IronWidow: hnngh they hot. no, but mostly it's that they're both such very different characters. my favorite dynamic is the opposites attract one and they fit into that very well. nat's quietness and introverted personality compliment perfectly with tony's quirkiness and extroverted personality. even after what happened in im2 they managed to trust each other again and they both clearly care for each other. esp in cacw it's obvious that they love each other as friends in canon. they would be good for each other and that's what i love abt them

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

Thenamesh: i don't see them as platonic at all. look, anyone can interpret any relationship however the way they please, but i'm saying this as aroace myself: that sort of love and devotion is not platonic. and i'm absolutely baffled how one doesn't see them as romantically involved after watching the film?? the majority sees them as queerplatonic and i'm???? no??? i see them on the opposite spectrum of queerplatonic: they're romantically in love but they don't rlly do what most romantic ppl do. i don't see them saying "i love you" to each other bc they already say it in their actions and the other understands. i don't see them kissing either, even less having sex. i def see them as ace, but still very much together romantically. and that's a hill i'm going to die on.

IronWidow: if you ask me if i prefer tonynat platonically or romantically i must say i find them better as best friends than as a couple. when i read a fic of tonynat alone it's like there's smth missing. imo they need a third to rlly work out, a "catalysator" so to say, which is why i prefer poly ships such a peppernatony or winterironwidow over tonynat alone...
