Day 14: Dream crossover

It's so hard to say because there are a lot of things I think it'd be cool to see have a crossover with the Alice books. In addition I could see justifying just about any crossover due to the surreal and nonsensical nature of Wonderland and/or Looking-Glass Land.

I'd like to see a Looney Tunes take on the books with a cross-dressing Marvin the Martian as the Red Queen, I feel it has comedic potential.

Something else I'd like to see is Jellystone!'s interpretation of Alice from Alice in Wonderland or What's a Nice Kid Like You Doing in a Place Like This?. Bonus points if she came to Jellystone through the TV like in the film.

John from my Genshin Impact x Queen crossover!

John is a very quiet and mysterious man who lives in Inazuma. He arrived there from Mondstadt when he was very little, and has been working as an engineer studying the Electro devices all around the nation and assisting the Kamisato clan, having ties with the the Shuumatsuban and Komore Teahouse (where his wife Veronica works at). John got his Cryo vision one night as he poured his heart out in a love letter for her: he hides a nurturing and caring side, divided between a longing for safety and quietness with his family, and wanting to be part of something more stimulating where he can express his talents. Meeting Freddie, Brian and Roger made him start his little adventure as a bassist of the band, but his heart will always stay in his home and he knows he'll be back soon.

I used his Japanese kimono photoshoot as main visual inspiration, given that he's from Inazuma (based on Japan) and on classic Japanese male wedding outfits. He's a Cryo character and I decided for a misty and earthy aesthetic, giving him a double pair of trousers with the exterior being an Hakama open on the legs. Since he works with the electric devices around Inazuma, he wears gloves and has various crystals around his outfit. He has a few braids in his hair.

Midnight Rain | Jacaerys Velaryon x Reader

A/N: Y'all have no idea how happy I am to finally release this chapter. Although this series is a crossover between Jace x Reader one-shots and Midnights, this one adds in a classic fairytale spin, as it's based off of Sleeping Beauty (the Disney version, we don't condone the original). I hope you guys enjoy reading this one as much as I loved writing it.

Just what we wanted, just what we wanted

Everything had gone to plan. You were tucked away in one of the far eastern towers in Asterthal, forever at rest while your palace was in shambles.

My town was a wasteland

Homes had been burned, the palace ransacked, bodies were left littering the ground.

Full of cages, full of fences

Sites that had once attracted outsiders were now unrecognizable, reduced to ashes. Those who had survived the attack were kept inside cells beneath the palace, waiting for their executions.

And the life I gave away

If you had been awake to see your people now, you would've been devastated. But after one of your friends, who had been working as a spy for the Queen, slipped you a sleeping concoction, you were unable to escape slumber.

But for some, it was paradise

But the Queen was delighted to hear of your capture. The alliance between the eldest Velaryon-Targaryen son, Jacaerys, and the House of Asterthal's eldest daughter would have been unstoppable.

I wanted that pain

She had ordered your execution, but been advised to put you to rest rather than death. Anything more and she'd be tried for treason against a noble house.

Chasing that fame

So, Queen Allicent sat beside the Iron Throne, a goblet of wine in her hand as she toasted to her recent victory. Long live the Queen.

When the news reached Jacaerys that the House of Asterthal had been attacked, his heart dropped. He feared that it was too late, that your life had already been taken.

All of me changed

But when it was revealed that you were alive, he immediately sought out his mother, searching every hall to find her.

Once he spotted her in her chambers, he fell to his knees before her.

Rhanerya looked down at her soon, concern in her eyes, "I'm afraid you've heard?"

My boy was a montage

"She's alive," He managed to blurt out, clasping his hands together, "Mother, please, I must find her."

She hesitated, "Jacaerys, it could be far too dangerous for you to go to her aid. We must think this through."

"I love her, mother. I wish to marry her," He said between bated breaths, "She's everything I ever wanted—everything I needed."

Rhaenyra bowed her head, thinking back to when she lost the man she loved, "My son, do you understand the dangers you will face on your journey?"

Jace nodded, "I understand and accept the challenges I will face."

"Then you have my support," She said, pulling him into a hug, pressing a kiss to his temple, "I love you, my son, come back to me."

Picture perfect, shiny family

"I will," He promised, before pulling away, "And I'll return with her."

On the ride to Asterthal, memories plagued Jace's mind of when you had met. At the time, he had no idea that you were the woman he was supposed to wed. You were simply a girl taking a stroll through the forest.

"Are you alone?" Jace had asked, pulling his horse on a lead behind him, "It isn't safe out here."

But you merely smiled, "I've been living here my whole life, I understand the dangers."

"You live in the woods?"

Nodding, you continued walking, "My family lives in a cabin farther up the hill. It isn't too bad, really. Just farther away from the town."

'Cause he was sunshine

"Do you need a ride back? The sun is about to set."

Shaking your head, you turned back to face him. It was only then that your beauty struck him. You were gentle, steady, but he knew that there was a fire that lay inside you.

I broke his heart 'cause he was nice

"I was told to never trust a stranger," You replied, "But I thank you for your kindness."

"Then let us not be strangers," He bowed, "Prince Jacaerys Velaryon."

Shocked, you immediately curtsied, "I'm sorry, my prince. I didn't know—please accept my apologies. I hadn't known you were to be in Asterthal."

"It's to discuss arrangements between me and the princess."

He wanted a bride

You tilted your head, "The princess? Why, she's been locked away for years. Since she was a babe. Only when the time is right will she be able to wed."

He sighed, "I'm hoping the time is now. We need Asterthal's support now more than ever, with everything going on."

"Then, I wish you luck, my prince."

"I'll gladly accept it, if you allow me to escort you home. I don't feel right allowing a lady like yourself to go on alone," He said.

You hesitated, unsure, "I wouldn't want to impose upon you."

"It would be my pleasure," Jace said, a reassuring smile on his face, "The Prince's orders."

All of me changed like midnight

You returned his smile, "Then I'll gladly accept your offer."

"It's Y/N," You breathed, "My name, it's Y/N."

He walked beside you up the hill towards your cabin, leading his horse behind him. The two of you talked about everything: your upbringings, ability to relish in the peace and silence of the woods, and even shared stories of yourselves that no one had seen. It was refreshing. But then you arrived at your cottage, and your shoulders suddenly dropped.

"I suppose this is goodbye, my prince."

All the love we unravel

Jace sighed, bowing his head, "I look forward to meeting you again, Lady Y/N."

He was sunshine, I was midnight rain

Drowning, you shook your head, "I'm not sure that's a good idea, my prince. You're betrothed. It wouldn't be becoming of us to see one another again."

He paused for a moment, "I nearly forgot."

You reached out to grab his hand, giving it a small squeeze, "As did I. But there's a stark difference between the world's we're used to. I'm not sure it would be wise for this to continue. I apologize, my prince."

He wanted it comfortable

"It's I who should be apologizing, my Lady," Jace said, "I've become comforted by your presence in this short period of time. I bid you farewell."

With that, pain heavy in his chest, he pressed a kiss to your hand, walking away with a heavy heart.

"I was comfortable, too," You muttered, leaning against the doorframe.

Now, riding on his dragon to Asterthal, Jace couldn't help but smile. From the moment he met you, he knew you were going to have a big meaning in his life.

A slow-motion, love potion

But until he had spoken with the Lord and Lady of Asterthal, he hadn't known that their daughter, Y/N, had been hidden away in a nearby forest. As soon as he heard your name, his heart swelled. He had known it then, and he knew it now: you were the love of his life.

Dismounting his dragon, Jacaerys fought his way through the knights guarding the entrance to your chambers, his sword impaling and beheading several men who came his way.

Their swords had been held high, but their skill was no match for the young prince and his dragon.

Finally reaching your chamber, he threw the doors open, panting.

Throwing his sword down beside him, Jace kneeled down beside your bed.

Pressing two fingers to the side of your neck, he felt a steady pulse.

Reaching into his satchel and removing an antidote, he held the vile firmly in his hands as he twisted the cork off.

Pressing a kiss to your forehead, he opened your lips and poured the liquid down your throat.

A deep portal, time travel

Waiting for a sign to show that you were awake, it took a few minutes before you stirred, groaning in your sleep.

Your body had to have been sore from the position you had been in the past few days. So when you opened your eyes, meeting Jace's gaze, it didn't take you long to lurch forward, grabbing his collar and pulling him towards you.

Lips moving against each other, you held him close to you until you were both so out of breath that you couldn't help but pull away.

Except on midnights like this (midnights like this)

Resting against your forehead, Jace smiled, "I knew it was you.

Badwolf could’ve been Gomez addams. (Red being Mortica light) I cannot keep my posts short so open with caution.

I’ve been mulling over the statues of the Little red riding hood story and have come to the conclusion, Badwolf and Red could have very easily done a hiding in plain sight sitch.

My defense:

Badwolf knowing hoodian culture shouldn’t be out of place as he has to pretend to be an old lady that is good enough to fool red for a few seconds. (hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if he knew a few more traditions than Red because of his obligation to study) also they are functionally neighbors. There is going to be crossover.

The man also gave me thespian vibes in class of classics so, like he also has the license to be dramatic (huff and puffing is also a pretty extreme response to having a door in your face)

And as for Red, having the Evil Queen as a roommate must’ve done something, namely she speaks very posh when annoyed, (my what *insert phrase here* you have) and has a good grasp on scheming (not that hoodians aren’t naturally crafty) this would would compliment badwolf’s dramatics.

But now the fun bit, how this would translate into his familial relationships.

unlike most villian/hero relationships Badwolf and Red narratively remain neighbors as opposed to red being able to completely move house like it’s implied for other fairytales which get screen time in eah. So they have to remain cordial with each other and it’s sappy as hell.

example scene that I’ve been mulling over:

Badwolf has decided to teach a class with Red as a guest speaker (in conjunction with some hero class) to demonstrate how to get along with your story book nemesis post story. (An excuse to see red and condition people to not question when he speaks highly of her) Hunter remains suspicious and threatens badwolf with a hachet (he’s not actually going to do anything and badwolf and red know this).

Badwolf (unamused) “Red could you please call off your guard dog?”

Red: “and why should I do that?”

Badwolf: “Because you’re a good person who cannot deal with another’s blood on your conscious?”

Red: (keeping a straight face)

Badwolf “oh glorious woman, doth thou not see with your beautiful silver eyes that I beg forgiveness? To call off the huntsman with your melodious voice? One who walks with the grace of a swan, one’s who’s kindness which could comfort that of a thousand crying children? Oh how…”

Red: (trying really hard not to cry from both flattery and embarrassment) “Release him”

if anyone points out that him and Cerise look similar, he loudly gloats that “Ha in your face Red I did look like grandma”

that Ramona looks like Red: “excellent work on your makeup, dear.”

Cerise doing a weak growl? “No, no that’s not how it’s done at all, here, let me demonstrate.”

For those that get suspicious that Badwolf and Red actually have a deeper relationship then they put on they don’t say anything because they won’t admit that somehow these two have a better functioning relationship than they ones who are destined for happily ever after.

(also for badwolfs dramtic speech, I have not studied Shakespeare so I’m aware it sucks)

Narnia Fic Recs-After the Return

I’m starting a short fic rec series to spread some love for Narnia authors, they aren’t in any sort of order other than the really long ones are on the bottom.

A lot of these stories are on ff.net which I know is a pain of a site to use, however, I sorted through a lot of Narnia fics to find these and I think they deserve some love. I did check if anything was on ao3 and put that link instead if I could find it. An interesting series really diving into how people see the Pevensies, specifically in a war context as Peter and Edmund join up with the military. More of a otherworldly vibe to the Pevensies as people don’t understand how a couple of kids can be so brutal, charasmatic, and efficient. Little bit of shipping of Edmund in the last works, but not really the focus. The last major story so far is a crossover with Torchwood which is super fun and really brings Susan and Lucy to the forefront. 

Stone Gryphon by @rthstewart

Rated G-T, 604.5k words, 17 works (Don’t let the size freak you out, the stories need to be read mostly in order but each plot wraps up in the individual work)

This one has really fun characterization and world building. It’s set after the Pevensies come back the second time, and while it’s set in England, there are lots of flash backs and descriptions of the Golden Age. The world building is unique in the characterization of talking animals and the focus on how the talking animals are similar to actual animals while still being thinking beings. The siblings are split up, Peter makes friends with the professor’s friends and is preparing for college, while Susan starts helping with the war effort. She keeps Edmund abreast of the war through a Narnian code, similar to how they worked as joint spy masters in Narnia. 

Be aware there is some shipping of the Pevensies with OC’s especially as you get further and acknowledgement of them as adults because they were adults in Narnia. I’m not sure if I actually finished it, but I still think about it frequently because of how intriguing the world building is and how interesting it is to see Susan and Edmund helping with a human war. Definitely worth checking out.

Why you should read A Study In Emerald

While technically not a fanfiction on account of both the properties it’s based off of being in the public domain, A Study In Emerald is basically a crossover fic between Sherlock Holmes and the Lovecraft mythos, written by none other than Neil Gaiman himself! The above link will lead to a version of the story printed in a pulpy classic newspaper format, but it can also be read in more traditional formatting and has a graphic novel adaptation that is worth checking out.

The Premise: a disabled war veteran moves in with a consulting detective who is soon charged with investigating a high-profile murder, but not all is as it seems. Taking place in a very different world where the Old Ones reign supreme over humanity, A Study In Emerald presents a surprisingly compact but satisfying mystery that is tantalizingly presented to the audience bit by bit until the curtain is pulled back in a really cool reveal at the end.

Why You Should Read It: the story strikes an excellent balance between presenting the reader with enough information that they can put the clues together and maintaining suspense without making it incredibly obvious where things are going. It doesn’t feel like it’s trying to outsmart the audience, rather it plays with the expectations of what one would expect in a Sherlock Holmes story, and piecing together the clues feels incredibly satisfying whether it’s your first time reading or fifteenth. The twist is one of those that makes more sense the more you think about it rather than one that was obviously slapped on for shock value, and unraveling it makes for a compelling sort of meta-mystery in its own right. This version of Holmes and Watson stand out as very distinctive versions of themselves because of the unique circumstances they find themselves placed in, but are still quite recognizably themselves. The works they inhabit is filled with enough detail and personality that it feels like a crime that people haven’t written more fanfic of this fic, because it is just brimming with potential and unique adventures that the og detective duo could be going on. There’s also some little cameos from other classic literature figures like Dracula and Dr. Jekyll, so if you’ve read those it can be really fun to pick those out. And of course it comes with that classic Lovecraftian horror of unknown, unfathomably powerful beings who in this case happen to be the heads of world governments. No applicability there, nope.

Potential Reasons to Stay Away: if you don’t have some prior knowledge of the supporting cast/recurring antagonists of Sherlock Holmes stories, then the ending will probably be very confusing and not make nearly as much intended sense. Previous experience with the Sherlock Holmes stories really gives the whole story a lot more punch. Not so much with the Lovecraft mythos, but some details will end up flying over your head. And, as one might expect from such a crossover, there is murder, body horror, and constant mentions of being driven into madness by horrors yet unfathomable to the human mind. Also, I guess that if you just really don’t want to see the Queen of England depicted as an evil colonizing monster who’s also an eldritch abomination this time around, this probably isn’t the story for you? (It’s certainly a perk for some people)

TL; DR A Study In Emerald is a cool Sherlock Holmes crossover with Lovecraft that respects its reader’s intelligence and comes with a cool-ass twist at the end. Give it a try if you’re a fan of either one, it’s relatively short and very fun to read.

'Save the queen': Priscilla, Queen of the Desert bus found

After 30 years, the original bus from The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert has been found and will undergo an extensive restoration for permanent inclusion in a museum.

Priscilla is celebrating its 30th birthday this year. The film premiered in 1994 and later became not just a queer classic but a crossover sensation. The film won an Oscar for its iconic costumes.

Now the History Trust of South Australia has started a campaign as it takes on a massive restoration job to restore the bus.

The trust has bought Priscilla, a 1976 Hino Freighter bus, after she was discovered in a paddock of a property in the town of Ewingar in the Northern Rivers Region of New South Wales.

Director Stephan Elliott said after filming ended, nobody knew where the original Priscilla ended up.

But for the last 16 years, she’s resided in the country town, left to the elements and falling into disrepair.

Somehow, the bus escaped without extensive fire damage following bushfires in the area a few years ago.

Stephan Elliott has backed the History Trust’s plan to “save the queen” and restore Priscilla.

“We had heard so many rumours about where she had ended up. We had given up hope of finding her again,” Stephan explained.

When the owner of the Northern Rivers property contacted the History Trust of South Australia, everyone had to know, was it really Priscilla?

The Trust’s curators went to find out. Stephan Elliott confirmed the authenticity of the bus by identifying remnants of the interior decor.

Priscilla’s restoration will take at least 12 months

Now, Priscilla is in Queensland. A specialist coachwork repairer in Brisbane is finalising the scope of the restoration works.

The History Trust of South Australia expects Priscilla’s repair and restoration to take 12 to 18 months.

They’ve called out for donations in addition to support for the project from the South Australian government.

Once restored, Priscilla will make herself at home in Birdwood’s National Motor Museum. The museum is planning an immersive exhibition on the film’s cultural and social impact.

History Trust of South Australia CEO Greg Mackie said in 1994, Priscilla was “released into a world still grappling with the impact of HIV/AIDS”.

“It immediately became a symbol of survival, the importance of love and respect, and of embracing of difference,” he said.

“The History Trust of South Australia intends to restore Priscilla to roadworthy condition for special outings, and to authentically render to its interior the glamorous over-the-top camp of the 1994 movie.

“Even in the 21st century, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert speaks to audiences of the virtues of respect for diversity and the great Aussie larrikin tendency for irreverence.

“Priscilla Queen of the Desert has earned the affectionate regard of a majority of Australians over the last 30 years by affirming the place of road adventures in our national culture.

“Where better for this icon than at Australia’s National Motor Museum?”

I have to admit I’m so unsure of what message they were trying to send with Nick Ogata

Looks classically fruity but I’m still… unsure

Well, they say if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck...

I think it goes past appearances, though. Of course, he does dress like a dandy (the same way Yokoyama first visualized Mine dressing, incidentally), and there's a certain flamboyant charm there. And he does have Those Mannerisms. You know the ones, I'm sure.

If that much seemed tenuous, the fact he frequents Earth Angel, more or less acts as Ichiban's "sugar daddy" over the course of the game, and is very excited to hear all about Ichiban's "date" with Arakawa while clearly under the impression Ichiban means it in a romantic sense (💀💀💀) leaves few doubts for most about what they were trying to get at.

But as always, I'd like to talk about queerness in the context of Japanese culture. Earth Angel no longer billed as an "okama bar," but that was part of its history, and the Champion District is also home to Drama Queen. Like I've touched on before, the "clustering" of LGBT-friendly establishments in the Champion District makes it more like a cross between Golden Gai (what it's actually based on) and Nicho (Shinjuku's hub of gay subculture), which naturally carries implications for regulars.

Another thing I've touched on before is wealth. Among the sexual minorities in Japan, gay men appear to have the highest ceiling for financial mobility. Characters like Nick and Mine, who've accrued more wealth than most other characters could even dream of, demonstrate that perfectly; the sums of money at the core of games like Yakuza and Yakuza 4 are pocket change to them. To a degree, this goes for Oda too, though in a cast of characters of characters who are also filthy rich, he doesn't stand out as much.

Those are pretty broad, of course, but there are a few things specific to Nick. For one, his theatricality and dramatics. In particular, his showmanship in the iconic finale scene stands out to me. There is a fair amount of crossover with queerness in Western culture here, so I'm sure it'll sound familiar. Let's see...

"Mainstream" visibility and acceptance of transgender identities and homosexuality in modern Japan first came to be through big spectacular televised events inviting queer entertainers to perform. And although these were joyful occasions that many were happy to see, the lack of seriousness in media in general has more or less lead to the generalization of queer people (mainly gay men and trans women) as entertainers and performers, theatrical, dramatic, camp.

To quote Queer Japanese, "Curiosity is the only driving force. Sexual minorities portrayed by media are funny and entertaining, but without real voice. The invitation of sexual minorities to the program by NHK satisfies the curiosity of viewers while also showing the viewers how open, accepting, and tolerant the media has become." This is the case for a lot of Japanese media, RGG included.

Another thing specific to Nick is that he's half-American and has clearly spent a lot of time stateside, being bilingual. Now, that might not sound related, but frequently in Japan you'll encounter the sentiment that being queer is a "foreigner thing"; many people are more willing to accept foreigners and the diaspora as being queer than the alternative. The sentiment lies at the intersection of too many ingrained assumptions to unpack here, but it's one that's reflected in characters like Nick (or even Mine, who is heavily Westernized himself.)

Analysis aside, the biggest instinctive "tell" for me was the attempt to subvert expectations with him dating women and enjoying their company (unlike Mine, for once). In attempting to subvert expectations, it's necessary to acknowledge the fact the expectations are there in the first place. So to me, Nick is a character who is crafted to set those expectations, and his character cannot be divorced from them.

And my reasoning may sound counter-intuitive, but... I'm not sure what man who's actually interested in women only dates them to refine them to their best selves and then immediately breaks up with them. It's like, he only gets in relationships knowing they'll end and he'll be the one to do it, and that's not only fine with him, but the appeal. So it kind of just circles back around to being pretty gay.

While I'm here, Nick is partly based on this guy from RGGO (whose name I never bothered to learn/remember, but I assume he has one.)

YAY thnk u for reaching out. um most of these artists i havent trawled their entire discog but each has some things i really really love. many of them explore serious topics such as addiction, discrimination (racism, homophobia, sexism, classism, etc), and more (like a lot of less commercialized and more traditional country music does).

its important to note that there is a lot of crossover in country, soul, blues, americana, and folk, so some artists might be more leaning to one of the other genres but their relation to the country style compels me to include them.

i will also say that afaik these are mostly modern artists because nothing makes me fucking angrier than people saying that new country music isnt good. please pull yourself out of the country billboard top 100 for the love of god.

Yeah!! Posting fic is all about the positive human interaction for me! Obviously comments are life, we all know this; but also I have irl friendships that started in the comments of my fic because I responded. You never know who you're going to meet or in what capacity.

tl;dr if someone feels compelled enough by something that came directly out of my brain and my soul to engage tangibly with it - you bet I'm going to respond, barring irl complications.

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Hmmmm so I have been accused of being something of an angst queen, but I also like a happy ending after the angst. I think the angstiest contenders are more ambiguous, and are probably:

no one else can break my heart like you (Wicked) - because we all know what's coming in Act II

Chrysopylae (Voyager/Picard) - because I really don't think many things about Seven and Janeway's relationship can ever truly be resolved

do borg dream of individuality? (Voyager) - see above, where Janeway is starting to intuit this

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I think The Thing Called Future (OUAT) is a pretty classic happy ending! So is all the sacred boundaries we've overgrown (OUAT). Both are in the right fandom for it!

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I've been very fortunate to get very nice, genuine folks and exactly one person I'm choosing to believe was having a bad day and taking it out on me.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Y-yes? I guess it depends on your definition of smut. There's sex for sure, but the focus is more on the emotions while it's happening than on graphic descriptions of what's happening or how it feels. Most of the time it's baked into the narrative and telling the story. I think I've really only written one or two PWP, and they're in XWP fandom.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

Not really! As mentioned I've got the SVU/Elementary crossover in the works, but for the reason that time and location align so incredibly perfectly. I also had a XWP/Wonder Woman crossover I wrote on a prompt (an amazon matter) and that was a lot of fun, but probably also not crazy.

This is a very reflective question! I guess I'd say emotional reflection + revision/distillation. Give me an inch I'll write you a mile, and then realize I need to revise it to something closer the inch you'll actually read or the conversation the characters would actually have.

Action, movement, and description of setting. Wait, no, are they sitting/standing in some nebulous, blurry-edged space having a conversation again???? nooooooooooooooooooooo

I'm working on it, and I'm proud of what my efforts are yielding, but also: ughh

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

It's a nice idea, but imo it distracts so hard from the flow of reading. One or two words where the reader can figure it out in context, or where the reader probably knows what it means, is great! Adds color and flavor! Entire lines that require footnotes… personally, I'm never going to look those up.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Star Wars EU! Luke Skywalker/Mara Jade OTP!

20. Favorite fic you've ever written?

I don't know if/when my answer is going to change from The Wide Orbit (SVU) - genuinely I think it's the best thing I've ever written. A lot of work and revision went into it and I think the final product shows it. It is precisely the story I wanted to tell in precisely the way I wanted to tell it. I just reread it and am still so delighted with it.

Recap! Took me a minute to realize this is the Weiss vs Bruce music from the first movie - which is definitely the closest we've gotten to classic RWBY music.

"'Grimm' as in, "The Brothers"?" For half a second I thought she was referring to the Gods of Light and Dark but no as in the authors 'Brothers Grimm' because the DC universe is supposed to be Earth and fairytales are just fairytales here. Are they gonna lean more into the allusion aspect of RWBY et. al now that we have a world where Red Riding Hood and the others are just stories?

Jurassic Park moment with the Pterrorsaur. Except this time they can literally smell fear.

Honestly, 'no body no death' kinda applies here like we KNOW that Watts died either burning to death via Cinder's wish or when Atlas fell but he was surrounded by computers at the time as well. It could have literally been the last thing he ever did. (Or he did it during v7 since he already wormed his way into the Atlas network via Jacques).

Via Jacques. Man. Watts really is Weiss's personal villain.

The whole 'transferring consciousness' thing also reeks of the Aura Transfer machines used on the Maidens, but I always assumed that was Pietro's invention so he could give life to Penny. Maybe Watts stole or twisted the concept for his own use.

Yang seeing the Ruby in Flash mmmmm. The way he looks at her arm and asks 'what happened?' and Yang explains how she felt ooooooooo. Flash explaining that Kilgore is no longer in his brain but he hears and sees him all the time.

i love this ask btw pls send more like this. i love this idea i think theyd be great in south park because they already live like they do. now if you mean the characters interacting together well hmmm. i think that they would just go "oh. okay" and leave. actually no i think that theyd only find out england exists and find out he fucks men so (pip is alive for this to work okay) everyone says pip is gay because his country is gay and then makes a rumor that the entirity of england is gay and has aids and then the whole episode hinges upon like cartman trying to become a citizen of england because theres a side plot where he gets fucked in the ass or something for saying the f slur and is like FUCKING WHAT?!?!? and all his efforts to be like thats fucking stupid only digs him in his hole deeper until he finds out the hetalia england gay = all of england gay thing that is spreading across the world and realizes if he becomes a british citizen then he can say faggot without having to blow anybody! and also this plot will evolve into becoming a citizen of england being really really convolutedly bad and hard (probably including having to allow the queen to put a finger in your butthole). maybe cartman does a bunch of evil bidding for the queen as a classic trey and matt commentary on how the british family fucking Sucks (true). anyways the whole episode ends with evereyone finding out that all the hetalia countries are gay so everyone is gay since theyre all from countries. also there would be a scene where they reference how the japanese choose whos gay and whos not (tweek x craig) and be like THAT DAMN YAOI. actually the way they find out abt all the other countries is bc one character has a epiphany where they remember creek and look up "country yaoi" and go "oh my god. Holy Shit." thats how we get our big end reveal twist. so yeah hetalia south park sounds great! heres a romano sp i drew for LMV that made me find out that your ask was in fact not from LMV
