Dark Male! Queen Jadis 'The White Witch' x Reader
Tumblr media
The moment you found yourself in Narnia, you felt scared, yet at the same time mesmerized by your new surroundings.
You thought you were all alone in this place until you met him.
King Jadis.
A very handsome man, even though having a cold expression painted on his face, you couldn't help but trust him.
Placing his fur coat around your cold body and showing you kindness was enough to make you feel allured by Jadis.
Yet, there's a voice deep down that screamed for you to run away, that this king has no good intention towards you.
But, it was already too late for you to back away.
At first, he kept his act up until you two got married, then his true face showed.
You realize by the time that Jadis who told you that he is the king of Narnia is a vile and cruel warlock and Aslan is the opposite of what Jadis described him to be.
There was no chance of escaping for you, and you are left all day in the palace, treated more like a doll then a human being by your own husband.
However, when you try to escape and get caught, you finally let out all of your emotions.
"What do you expect me to do, sit around all day and look pretty to you while you kill others? We can't even have children together!"
Jadis only focused on the last sentence, thinking that you wanted to have children.
That's when Edmund comes into the equation.
"She would love you as a son, and you will be a prince befitting to be the son of mine and my wife, Edmund"
When Jadis brought the ten-year-old boy to you, as expected you cheer at the sight of him, especially since Edmund is from the same world as you.
Jadis thought that this would fix the crack in his relationship with you.
But instead, it turns out Edmund and his siblings will be the ones to save you from him.

The White Witch
(Or Queen Jadis). Jadis is part giant and as such towers over the human children more than usual, which is actually a detail in the movie believe it or not. In the books Jadis is described and illustrated with long black hair, red lips and impressive/inhuman height. Again, I have no beef with how the movie costumed her character, we are here to have fun. ;D
I decided to go with a huge snow-white fur cloak, complete with tails. A matching fur ruff, paired with a contrasting ice-themed gown and jewelry. I couldn't decide if I liked her hair up or down more so here's both versions!

One of the funniest moments (to me, anyway) in the Chronicles of Narnia books is in The Magician’s Nephew, when Aunt Letty confronts Jadis.
“‘And who is this young person, Andrew, may I ask?’ said Aunt Letty in icy tones.
‘Distinguished foreigner-v-very important p-person,’ he stammered.
‘Rubbish!’ said Aunt Letty, and then, turning to the Witch, ‘Get out of my house this moment, you shameless hussy, or I’ll send for the police.’ She thought the Witch must be someone out of a circus and she did not approve of bare arms.
‘What woman is this?’ said Jadis. ‘Down on your knees, minion, before I blast you.’”
I don’t know why, but I always laugh at this scene. 😂
Also, Aunt Letty is the best - she takes care of her sister Mabel and nephew Digory, takes Andrew down a peg (often), and stands up to terrifying megalomaniac Queens from Charn who want to pulverize her into dust, all without breaking a sweat. #allinadayswork

I can no longer listen to Waiting On A Miracle from Encanto without thinking of Edmund Pevensie. I headcanon this song as exactly how he felt the first years of their rule in The Golden Age.
Just to mention a few examples:
Imagine how it would feel to have all your siblings get gifts from Father Christmas except for you!! Being seen as the Traitor King!
“I’ve been patient and steadfast and steady.”
Spending 15 years by his siblings side, never forgetting what it cost to get there
“Bless me now like you blessed us all those years ago, when you gave us a miracle!”
Wanting and needing Aslan to give him some sort of sign, some sort of chance to prove he shines as bright as his siblings! To show that given the chance, he would use his gift to help people just like his siblings!
“Am I too late for a miracle?”
Feeling like because he wasn’t there when they received their special personalized weapons, he wasn’t worthy of them. Like he was too late to be a King in his own right.

I did this project for school. She is Jadis before she became the white witch. Jadis was brought to Narnia at its creation. She snuck into a walled garden which had apples that could grant eternal youth and immortality. Their juice is very dark.

everyone who dunks on edmund pevensie for selling his siblings out for Turkish delights is failing to acknowledge one key component: Jadis, the white witch, was a certified milf.

I’ve been reading the Narnia books recently and just LOVED the Magician’s Nephew. That book was incredible for many reasons. And I got a very clear picture of the White Witch when she ate the silver apple. Wanted to try drawing it out.

The skills of a King or Queen
They had to rebuild a kingdom. In the aftermath of the war with the white witch the newly crowned Pevensies had a daunting task. Narnia was in shambles after the 100 year winter. With the help of many older Narnians they learn skills and helped their people.
Peter learned the crafts. He was taught wood carving from the fawns and black smiting from the dwarves'. He worked with his hands to create things. To mold tools and weapons to help and defend his people. He would often forge swords for his allies as a sign of trust and comradery.
Susan quickly took to the art of the hunt. Her skilled marksman ship added her well as she became an expert tracker. She learned trapping and enjoyed the solitude and peace the chase would provide. it was said she was so nimble of foot that even if she walked right behind you, not even the crunch of a leave would catch your attention.
Edmond had a rudimentary knowledge of cooking from his mother both nothing comprehensive. He set his sights on learning the Narnian dishes that his people loved to dearly. As he did he learned to butcher and create serval herbal remedies. He excelled and it became quite the honor to have the young King hand craft meals for visitors in Care Parevel.
Lucy spent her time out doors in the gardens and fields. She loved to learn about each crop and tended to them with her hands and her heart. It wasn't uncommon for visitors when bowing to the young ruler to see her dust covered skirts and the dirt embedded in her nails.
They worked together, forging a brighter future for their people. Nothing was easy after the war but in time Narnia thrived.
