I am totally going insane in this final period of my semester... but me and a bunch of friends made a carpet where we share our projects so we can help each other.
It's nice to find a group of weirdos to count on, I truly am learning to love them 🖤✨
Aside that, HOW FUCKING ENTERTAINING ARE SOFOCLES'S TRAGEDIES! I highly recommend reading Electra, just fucking wonderful ✨

5 August 2020 | This is my first time reading Arthur Miller's work. Death of A Salesman is so good! I feel like I am so gonna cry if I were to watch this on-stage :')
Last minute reading because I thought we are not going to cover this one but apparently... yep. Exam on Sunday :)

How ~productive~ my quarantine is going...
Been about 3 days indoors, while having all classes shifted to online methods:
- I wake up everyday checking my twitter feed to see what else has changed
- Read my emails and check my emails every hour to see what is/will transpire
*day ends*
I feel like I cannot focus with all the chaos and nuances of what is going on, locally and around the globe. Anyone have some tips on how to actually get some quality work done? It’s funny because we will all essentially live out of our computers, yet that is the very thing that keeps us distracted and lose focus.

1. Create a daily schedule : List out all the things that you need to /want to get done for the day. It could be as simple as reviewing your syllabus or as tedious as completing an entire essay from start to finish. After you have listed everything out then pick the top three things that are non-negotiable. Things that need to be done before calling it a day. Once you finish those three, then you can pick another three, if you’d like.
2. Create a space conducive to productivity : Our home settings can be less than ideal. Currently, I am living in an Air BnB with my significant other in order to keep our families safe while we are still working because we are “essential personnel”. The issue with this is that there is no office and our schedules are opposite. In order to fix this I have moved the dining room table into a corner where I face the wall and put in headphones (if he is home) to drown out the background noise. I also let him know when I plan to study so I can have a little bit of quiet.
3. Take study breaks : I use the pomodoro method when studying. I usually set the timer for 45 minutes of focus and then 15 minutes of “free time”. I use the Forest App https://www.forestapp.cc/ on my iphone.
4. Minimize distractions: Turn your phone off, turn the tv off, mute your emails, etc. I put my iPad and iPhone on do not disturb, and if I am using my computer I will make it so my text messages do not pop up on my screen, so I’m not even a little tempted.
5. Have a clear space: Using my to-do list I gather only the materials I will need for my first task. If I am only using one textbook I will only have that out and my iPad for taking notes. I also clean the area that I am able to visualize, so if the kitchen is dirty (since i’m using the kitchen table as of now) I will clear the dishes from the sink and make sure that all the clutter is removed so I don’t become tempted to get up and clean .Trust me i’ll find any excuse to break my focus.
What are some of your tips you use to study? What does your home work space look like right now ?

So I finally started a tumblr. account and I'm so excited to see this community so positive during these tough #quarantine times. I've been very lazy and I'm determined to make a difference and make efforts to study what's on my sem and what's out there, stuff I like.
So I made a timetable skeleton with a three day structure that can be repeated over the week or so.
Let's see how it turns out.
