🌩️ - Unpopular headcanon?

I'm taking this to mean what's an unpopular headcanon I hold: Sherlock is a sex neutral to positive ace-spec character in this adaption. I think he would have sex and enjoy it in the moment if it was with someone whom he really enjoyed being around, but doesn't actively feel a drive/need/attraction to fulfill. Don't think he'd do anything with his mouth though (which valid).

🕷️ - What are your thoughts about The Final Problem getting adapted?

MANY. I keep flopping back in forth between it's going to be a silly adaption or extremely serious.

If it's silly it's going to be like Sherlock falling off a short height or Moriarty being a rival podcaster and both Sherlock and John are like, "Who??"

But in the most recent adventure, Silver Blaze, we were introduced to Chekov's SD card: An SD card that randomly cuts out and loses data. One that could maybe cut out during the waterfall fight with Moriarty and so John doesn't get to hear whether or not Sherlock survives the fight and subsequent fall. So I'm leaning much more heavily towards serious adaption these days.

December 19th, 2023. I saw @voilaammayi post about the Blue Carbuncle on my other blog and I was like, "I adore Blue Carbuncle, I need to check this out since it doesn't always get adapted." and fell in love, obviously. *gestures to this blog*

For the person who asked how to write smut: I think sometimes watching … ethical porn from a strictly ‘research purpose’ kind of view helps give you ideas on what to write, especially if you’ve next actually had sex, along with what kind of smut you’re interested in writing, soft/intimate, hardcore/rough, bdsm, or lighthearted.

Along with just let your imagination run wild, create a scenario in your head and write it down as it plays out in your head, but I know that’s easier said than done for some people.

omg yes! All of this!!! As weird as it sounds, ‘source material’ does help, as long as you’re comfortable with it. A majority of my works are sparked by some video I’ve seen on Twitter or sum. And having a vivid imagination def helps.

What motivates you to write?

I genuinely love storytelling. It was something I felt out of love with for a while, but in the last year I’ve rediscovered that it really is the best way for me to connect with the world. There are so many ways you can educate or communicate with people through storytelling, and I want to explore that as much as I can.

A line/short snippet of your writing that you are most proud/happy of. If not maybe share a line of someone else's work you love (just please credit them)

Having a lot of trouble with RSD this week so I’ll share a line from @outpost51’s Between a Rock and a Hard Place that I really liked:

“In my desperate bid to avoid becoming the corpse that whetted their appetite, I just managed to trade that burden for a different one, and still acted as their appetizer anyway.”

Which OC makes you smile every time you think/talk about them and what are they like?

Hettie from Tomb of Light. She’s a genuinely kind person who inspires others around her to see the good in themselves. She still has childlike innocence and sees the best in everything and everyone. She has one of my favorite arcs and I greatly enjoy thinking about the person she will become.

What process of writing do you enjoy the most?

Editing. The actual writing part is pretty great but that first edit afterwards is where the magic happens, where it becomes the more polished version.

What part of writing do you think you are the best at? (Yes stroke your own ego it's okay)

I’m not entirely sure but if I had to choose I guess I would say that I enjoy my imagery and dialogue the most.

What is something in the writeblr community is most enjoyable?

The overall positivity and the general assurance that you are not the only one suffering from common issues like burnout, anxiety, etc. It really is a community.

A writing tool/device you use that helps you with writing? (It could be speech to text, a writing program etc)

I’ve brought this up before but I like using Reedsy when I’m starting a new WIP. They have great templates for world-building and character creation.

A piece of worldbuilding that you like in your own story? (It could be the magic system, a particular place in the story, a law etc)

I am excited about the magic system in ToL. There’s a lot to explore and Book One is only going to scrape the surface. It’s inspired by several different ideas I’ve come across in sci-fi and fantasy and so far there isn’t anything else quite like it.

What piece of advice would you say to encourage others to write if they are having a rough patch?

Love what you write, write what you love. And it’s okay to take breaks if you are feeling stuck!

Tag some people whose works you love/have been your biggest supporters

I have quite an extensive reading list to get through but so far I’ve really enjoyed what I’ve read of @outpost51 and @writernopal, and they’ve both been supportive of ToL which has been comforting in periods of uncertainty. Also a shout-out to @sam-glade whose review of Ch. 1 was invaluable in helping me to shape Adrin.

Thank you @suzy-queued for tagging me, as I was procrastinating, and this came at the perfect time!! Haha

1. Are you named after anyone?

I’m named after my mum’s favourite song by The Beatles (Michelle), which ironically is my least favourite song by The Beatles lol

2. When was the last time you cried?

I was PMSing hard last month, I basically cried for two days straight. It was crazy! And dehydrating.

Before that, the last time I cried was probably when we watched and discussed the Vincent VanGogh Doctor Who episode for @f-f-podcast - buckets of tears every single time!!

3. Do you have kids?

Nope. Just fur babies.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

I stopped to really think about that and came to the unfortunate conclusion that sometimes I use sarcasm humorously, but mostly I use it when I’m being a bitch. Oops.

5. What’s the first thing you notice about people?

They’re demeanour. Happy. Shy. Kind. Helpful. Competent. Confident. Loud and rowdy. Just their overall vibe. I generally have no memory of what people look like until after I’ve met them several times and spent time with them.

6. What’s your eye color?

Green.

7. Scary movie or happy ending?

Happy ending. I hate jump scares.

8. Any special talents?

I can wiggle my ears.

9. Where were you born?

Zürich, Switzerland

10. What are your hobbies?

Podcasting, watching TV, drawing, craft, sewing, cooking, baking, reading, fandom.

Two cats at home (Howard & Wiggins), and a whole lot of livestock at work. They count. I love them.

12. What sports do you play / have you played?

Volleyball and basketball in school. Tennis for 8 years, 2 years at club level. Roller Hockey for 10+ years, 3 years for the Swiss National Team.

Last time I went home to visit the family I brought back my custom painted hockey helmet. Look at that impact damage! s’probably fine… right? lol

13. How tall are you?

172cm (5’7’’ I think?)

14. Favorite subject in school?

German. Creative writing was my jam! Also I loved to read, and they encouraged that! lol

15. Dream job?

I like helping people. Doing something of value. And being creative. I currently have four jobs, each has one or two of these aspects. If you can think of a job that combines all four then please let me know! Haha

Absolutely, I will hear someone out if they have read the series and say they don't like Sydrian. But someone who only read the first book and saying this. Is just crazy. Arguments can be made in regards to Adrian's flirting. Fine. But y'all are really out here drooling over a whole 25 yr old, who went after a 17 yr old and have no issues with that. Like nope, please run that back.

Mind you, Adrian is the same guy that was always willing to help Rose try to find his aunt's murder. But she also use his money to go to Russia to try and end Dimitri. Again, I get the argument can be made for his flirting and her not wanting him. But at no point did he truly ever push her boundaries or did anything she wasn't okay with. So I'm still lost as to why the hate for Adrian, Cringy flirting I get being upset about. But the way people act like Adrian committed arson over it is ridiculous. You mean to tell me, they won't read pass Bloodlines due to cring flirting. But had no issues reading 6 books of a somewhat teacher flirting with his student. Make it, Make sense y'all

what made you come up with your musician! eren series?

so I was actually inspired by this fanart I saw on Instagram and a few of my favorite rappers. (Bones, $uicideboys) I was just kinda messing around and getting into writing Eren for the first time when I did Studio. And after that, I started thinking of all these ideas for the storyline and it kinda stuck.
