Instagram and Twitter got this one several days ago but I'm bringing it back in postcard form to post here too. Embracing the bad photoshops for the @savethegrishaverse tweet parties lately and thought it was time for some Jesper Fahey Barrel Flash, now with added Kazzle Dazzle. Someone on insta suggested posting stuff like this to the Netflix execs, so I ended buying a custom print send direct postcard from postable to do exactly that! I think out of all the graphics I've made this was one of the most popular despite so little time spent on it comparatively.

Six Sentence Sunday

I only have an anon WIP I worked on, but this is from a microfic that did not work so it went into the recycle bin. I don't know who hasn't been tagged yet, so consider yourself tagged if you see this.

So, Luna seemed to have adopted him. Luna Lovegood was friends with Thestrals and Potters. Draco figured it was better for his health (and mental state) to just go with it and not provoke her. It was better than being alone all the time, anyway.

And then, when he had finally started to relax a little—aha! That was the plan all along. He knew it!—Potter sat down across from him in the library. "Say, Malfoy, about the potions homework..."

Draco had not reacted well. He had startled so badly his quill went flying and ink went everywhere. Draco had stared at the disaster area in horror and fled, just legged it out of there until he was somewhere safe where no one could see him and he could have a panic attack in private.

Dr Martha Jones is having a day like any other (at least for her post-UNIT career) when she is asked to deal with the woman in Bed 5. She isn't aware of it yet, but today will change her life in ways as radical that day she met 'Mr John Smith' at the Royal Hope Hospital over a decade ago.

She walks to the end of the bed and squirts some antiseptic gel into her hands, then gives a glance at the patient before reaching for the patient's notes. She stops, her movement arrested, to say, "Kate?" in a tone that's half disbelief, half hope.

The dishevelled blonde opens her eyes and stares curiously at Martha. “Raymond,” she says, her voice husky with pain. “DI Jill Raymond. I'm guessing that you've met my cousin, Kate Stewart, though, if you thought I'm her.”

“Um, yes,” Martha says, her brain whirring. She is glad of her darker skin, which hides her flush of embarrassment from a casual glance. She is still enormously embarrassed by the intensity of the crush she'd had on her former boss; Kate Stewart’s the Chief Scientific Officer of UNIT, for whom Martha had worked following her decision to stop travelling with the Doctor.

In the three years it took to write “Tales of Lucis”, I only cut three complete scenes (many other little bits here and there, though). Here they are:

1. Noctis and Prompto are having sex in a motel and Gladio walks in on them, forcing an uncomfortable conversation between the Shield and the King. I cut it because it was gratuitous, plus I didn’t like the idea of Gladio finding out about them. It didn’t seem organic to me.

           Prompto gasped and broke the connection.  “They could...be back any minute,” he panted.  Noctis hummed, sucking on his neck.  “Shouldn’t we lock the door?”

           “Ignis’ll knock.”  Kiss.

           Prompto’s head fell back against the wall, his brow furrowed as Noctis’s hands crept under his shirt.  “But Gladio won’t.”

           “Maybe they’ll get their own room.”  Kiss, kiss, nibble, kiss.

           Prompto abruptly grabbed Noctis’s shoulders, pushing him back.  “Wait, are you saying they’re a thing?”

           "Can we just…?" Noctis said, a little exasperated.

           "Right, sorry," Prompto said with a quick nod, though Noctis barely waited for him to finish speaking before his lips crushed up against him again.

2. Another Promptis sex scene, in the tent, no less! Again, gratuitous--didn’t need it.

3. A kind of nice scene with Noctis and Iris that I wanted to leave in, but I think didn’t have a place in the fic at the time. It also concluded with this weird conversation with Noct and Gladio where, like, Gladio was trying to set Noct up with his sister, which I ended up hating. And I totally agree with Noct--Gladio would kill him.

             "When I found out you were marrying Lady Lunafreya, I pushed my feelings aside and just tried to be happy for you," she continued.  He was grateful she was doing the talking, even though the conversation would be nothing but awkward at this point.  But at least he didn't have to respond just yet.  "And I was happy...because I thought you were happy.  That's all I've ever wanted, Noct."  God, why did she have to be so nice?  This would have been so much easier if she had been a spoiled brat.

             "Iris, I...your brother would kill me if I treated you like anything other than a little sister," Noctis said.
