Writeblr RE-Introduction

I noticed I’ve never written an intro post here. It has been a long time since I ever been active on here, and now, I would like to revive this writer blog even if people keep saying that Tumblr is dead. So am not sure whether anyone would read this but I still want a space where I can talk about my writing.

ABOUT ME:

Hi! I am Alexandria, an emerging writer and poet based in Malaysia. I write anything fantasy from poetry to fiction. I’m currently working on 2 novels; one is a fantasy novel-in-verse, and the other, a YA Dark Fantasy novel. Both I hope to query one day. You can find me on my Instagram where I update my progress every week and post motivational verses on Mondays too.

MY WIPS:

I’m only focusing on 2 novels at the moment.

1. Project Sprite ~ Feather is not wanted in a world where technology has evolved. Like who uses an ancient tool that doesn’t have an ink compartment like a pen does? No one. Feather loses hope and accepts the truth that he is not needed in his human household anymore. Will he ever fulfill his need of being ‘used’ again? Or will Feather move on and search for a new purpose?

Status: Currently Editing Draft 2

2. Project The Glass Kingdom ~ In a world of glass, an ignorant glass prince volunteers to join a tournament amongst princes to win back his fiancee's freedom but is faced with another challenge: shatter or be shattered.

Status: Draft 1 Completed. Now it’s time for a rewrite.

I've noticed new faces around here and I figure some of you have found me because of this article I had the pleasure of writing and photographing for the @inherstudiomagazine . (I still pinch myself whenever I say that) I appreciate you hitting the follow button on this little account of mine! I'm Adrienne, an artist, jeweler, photographer and writer living and creating in Tennessee. I take inspiration for the work I do from my spiritual connection to the Natural World. You'll find videos and photography centered around hiking adventures and nature walks in my Stories and feed frequently, along with our cats and backyard gardens. The photography and writing are things I love, but the jewelry was the first to intrigue me past distraction. If you read the magazine article you witnessed some of this obsession. I really do love this craft. The jewelry I create has always been a way of honoring Nature. Nothing else ever really felt right to me. I've accepted her as my main Muse. I've also been exploring the cultures and lands of the Ancestors who made me. There are many, and what I'm understanding on a deeper level is the influence they have always had on my creative being, coming out in the work I do on many levels. It's a magical, wondrous thing. I moved to the Triangle area of North Carolina to work on art and writing. Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Durham and Raleigh are great places for both. I've made a lot of art, improved my skill, see my Artist Site. Writing is going well too. I was just selected by a jury of literary artists to read pieces I submitted in public at an art event regarding Housing & Home in the Triangle. You might have seen that 3 of my photographs were published in 86 Logic, an NYC literary zine. 👉 And unexpectedly I've been doing local journalism. As a lifelong photographer, I'm taking my own shots and so now have some photojournalism captures which is what's being shared here today.
