The Law of the Lord Is Perfect
1 The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. 2 Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. 3 There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. 4 Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun, 5 which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy. 6 Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them, and there is nothing hidden from its heat.
7 The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; 8 the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; 9 the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb. 11 Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
12 Who can discern his errors? Declare me innocent from hidden faults. 13 Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me! Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. — Psalm 19 | English Standard Version (ESV) The Holy Bible, English Standard Version. Revelation 5: Heaven and Nature Sing
This is how the curtain might fall on the final act of a Wagnerian Opera, the stage vibrant with rich colors, a shimmering backdrop of gold and iridescence as the rainbow radiating from the magnificent throne of God. #Revelation5 #WorthyistheLamb
Myriads Making Music Unto the Lord After singing of the new song about Jesus, Who holds the future of all things in His hands, Who alone is worthy and able to open each of the seals on the scroll and read its contents, and Who has made redemption possible for all people everywhere, the entire cosmos broke loose. Then I beheld and I heard a sound of many angels round about the throne and of the…

God's Glory Is Everywhere (Psalm 19)
Law and land converge to guide us into grateful living, into the wisdom of dealing rightly in all things.
The heavens declare the glory of God,and the sky displays what his hands have made. One day tells a story to the next. One night shares knowledge with the nextwithout talking, without words, without their voices being heard.Yet, their sound has gone out into the entire world, their message to the ends of the earth. He has set up a tent in the heavens for the sun, which comes out of its chamber like a…

Psalm 19
The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And the expanse [of heaven] is declaring the work of His hands. Day after day pours forth speech, And night after night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there [spoken] words [from the stars]; Their voice is not heard. Yet their voice [in quiet evidence] has gone out through all the earth, Their words to the end of the world. In them and in the heavens He has made a tent for the sun, Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber; It rejoices as a strong man to run his course. The sun’s rising is from one end of the heavens, And its circuit to the other end of them; And there is nothing hidden from its heat.
The law of the Lord is perfect (flawless), restoring and refreshing the soul; The statutes of the Lord are reliable and trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true, they are righteous altogether. They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb. Moreover, by them Your servant is warned [reminded, illuminated, and instructed]; In keeping them there is great reward. Who can understand his errors or omissions? Acquit me of hidden (unconscious, unintended) faults. Also keep back Your servant from presumptuous (deliberate, willful) sins; Let them not rule and have control over me. Then I will be blameless (complete), And I shall be acquitted of great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable and pleasing in Your sight, O Lord, my [firm, immovable] rock and my Redeemer.

PSALMS S.O.A.P. ~ PSALM 19
Tuesday. 8/15/23
SCRIPTURE:
Who can discern his errors?  Acquit me of hidden faults.  Also keep back Your servant from presumptuous sins;  Let them not rule over me;  Then I will be blameless,  And I shall be acquitted of great transgression. ~ Psalm 19:12-13
OBSERVATION:
Who can discern my errors? I maybe be too aware of - focused on - many, and so unaware of most... but He is aware of all of them... and yet...
Who can acquit me of hidden faults? Or the ones I think are hidden... though none are hidden from Him... and yet...
Who can keep me from presumptuous sins? Aren't all sins presumptuous - failing to observe the limits of what is permitted or appropriate? ...and yet...
Who can keep them from ruling over me? I may try - I do try - but I so often fail... and yet...
Who has acquitted me of great transgression? He has and does all of the above - through Jesus - because I cannot and too often, will not... and yet...
...and yet...
Indeed~!
APPLICATION:
Focus on Him - not my errors and faults...
Not my will... His...
PRAYER:
Again, using the rest of the Psalm...
Lord Father God - my Rock, my Redeemer... Your perfect Word restores my restless heart and soul... Your Holy Spirit enlightens my thoughts and makes simple those things I want to make confusing so I can try and hide in their twists and turns of phrase... I ask forgiveness for failing to take the hint - take the warnings - and ask that the Spirit will continue His presence and guidance in and through all things... May my heart always rejoice in You, and my words and thoughts always tell of Your glory and grace through Jesus and be acceptable to You... In His Name, and for Your worshipful praise and honor...
For Him... for you... for yours...
