The second someone tried to bring up something along the lines of, "You can't replace real people with digital characters, they would look awful."

Disney would turn around and say "HA! We got you, we did it here and no one noticed!"

Trouble is, they shot themselves in the foot. Because EVERYONE noticed.

Random thoughts about Playboyy the series ep 12:

This episode was so much easier to watch than the previous one. I don't know if it's the editing or the pacing but I appreciated it more.

▪️First and Soong are back together and they want to take care and stay with each other. Some people complain about them speaking English to each other while they are supposed to both speak Thai but I find it endearing because I used to do the same thing before with my previous partner (granted, we never were fluent in the language of the other one). We may have sounded funny as them. Anyway, I'm glad they are happy because they were the first couple I was rooted for. They deserve each other. I don't think anyone else could handle First. He is a real handful. Only Soong seems to be able to bring the best of him.

▪️Zouey and Nont were still investigating. The found the name of a Hotel where Nant may have come. They went over there and got some Intel from the front desk lady in an unconventional way: make her admit the truth by tickling her. (Isn't she the first woman who saw in the series?!) They learnt Aob was following Nant. Everyone became a suspect in this series at one point.

▪️Nont wants Zouey to patch things up with First and Captain but it's not working. I used to think they were really good friends but Zouey doesn't seem close to them anymore and doesn't seem to regret them. Of course, Captain and First are not Saints and they have a very different mindset as Zouey. In this episode it was really shown how fragile their friendship is. I found that sad because it was one of the best points of this group. At least, Nont said to Zouey how he views him as a friend.

▪️Zouey and Teena got some NC scenes and I felt something was off with Zouey. To be honest, he seemed really weird and almost hiding something.

▪️Jason Lee is still upset about Porsche having a relationship with Jump and he wants to find them. Jason Lee is not a great villain. He is mostly comical and has a bad temper. He is always talking it out on someone, mostly Aob.

▪️I felt pity for Aob. He is still working with his ex sugar daddy, killing people for him but still trying to protect his loved ones. He is taking care of Puen after he gets expelled (Captain had his revenge and revealed to the headmaster of their school that Puen was a prostitute. Even though the real person he should have gone after we're the rugby team). It was also shown before how he cared about the ex-members of the Playboyy. It seems, he can't let go of his ties with Jason Lee.

▪️Nont showed again his unhinged side when he went after Aob. He is after the truth about his twin and it doesn't matter how he gets the answer. Captain and him made a plan to torture Puen in front of Aob to make him talk. Aob's friends went to save him, but it didn't work because some men in black came to the scene, threatening them with guns and forced them to perform sexual acts. It wasn't easy to watch it. I guess those men work for Jason Lee.

▪️Nont, Captain, First and Zouey (who came after) fled when they realized they were helpless and couldn't do anything to save Teena, Soong, Jump or Aob. I didn't expect them to flee. I know they are not fighters and they had no power, but damn, I wish they had tried to do something.

▪️On the other hand, Phop was waiting for Nuth (who had been called by Nont at one point when he was trying to get info from Aob) and scrolling on his computer where he found a video. It has to do with Nant but we never see it because it was the end of the episode. I found the acting brilliant in this scene because at first Phop was smiling and you could see on his face how he found Nuth sweet. He had a file on his computer with pictures of Phop. they were not all flattering but the fact he kept them is to show how attached he is to Phop. However, when he found the video all these good emotions left his face. It was like all these feelings were switched off and only wrath remains.

Next one promised to be sad and tough to watch again. I hope no one is dead because the trailer makes it seem like Puen is not in good form. Jason Lee is still trying to kill Jump and Nont will feel guilty because he believes he is bringing just bad things to his "friends". It's almost the end and the mystery remains about Nant. We still have two episodes and then it's going to be the end 🥹

Somehow Robin is convinced to attend her Senior prom, under the circumstances that Steve goes with her as her ‘date’. She couldn’t bare being alone, and catching a ride with him is far easier than trying to plan anything on her own.

Nancy had planned to help her get ready, taking Robin dress shopping and shoe shopping for the event. Only on the night of prom she’s unable to get back in time to help Robin, getting busy with a school project. Steve before Robin could panic calls Chrissy and ask if she had time to help, if she’d mind helping.

By the time Chrissy gets to his house, she’s got Eddie in tow. He’s no where near as desperate as Robin, but Steve ends up helping him. ( fixing his tie, taming his hair to some degree so it wasn’t quite so frizzy, defining the curls a little more)

“ they are going to be taking pictures and you look insane man.. just sit still”

Chrissy helping Robin with her makeup. Them having a moment Chrissy nearly kisses Robin, caught in each others gaze.

I think Steve would be able to do Robins hair without help. He seems like someone who would secretly know how to work a curling iron and be willing to do a girls hair if he knew them well enough.

Chrissy and Robin would get to have a few dances. People wouldn’t suspect much more than them just being friends. Not wanting to interact with men in the moment.

Steve and Eddie would get a dance also, unfortunately they wouldn’t have the same deniable plausibility, but while they were out smoking to take a break from the crowd, Steve would toss his own cigarette and offer his hand. The music being just loud enough, Steve starts singing along at parts.

If I were rich I would throw dance parties and balls in like a school-dance style that you'd see in a movie. It'd be for everyone, just buy an entry ticket, there would probably be vending machines if you want a snack or drink but otherwise no food and drink present. The money earned from the tickets would all go towards charities minus the bit to reimburse for decor and such. We'd have an area where you could sign up to make a donation to the charity we're supporting at the time and an area where you can take photos with friends.

Also would have it so that when you purchased your ticket you could request a song and a playlist for the event would be compiled out of the requests. Would end up with a wider variety and if a mass amount of people requested the same song then maybe we'd play it twice. If we needed more songs to fill the time then we'd probably gather songs similar to the ones requested to create the ultimate mix.

Our teachers from the big city are still soo confused with the fact that we have prom

We were discussing about what everyone is gonna wear and of course some people are a little extra and the teachers are shocked like wow you'll wear what and the whole event is such a big thing and they're like 👁👄👁say what now

And someone was like "how do you do proms in Athens?"🤨

"We don't kids. The first time I saw this happening was last year when I came here."

Like, proms aren't a thing in Greece ajajsjs

I always knew that, but when I went to high school and saw proms happening I just accepted the fact, but we're really out of the norm here😭😂

The whole country: yeah we do normal school activities like reading boo-

My school in the middle of nowhere: hey yall free for a rehearsal of waltz tomorrow?

Also to clarify-cause this sounds expensive, it's not- I'm not going to a private school or something, and we do proms in order to save money for the school trip (πενταήμερη) our parents will pay the ticket in order to get in and sit around in the tables and watch all of us dance on stage while they eat while we also have a lottery thing going on and all of is will have fun at the event I guess

Also, the waltz/bachata/traditional(λαϊκά) dances aren't like provided by the school, we found teachers who supposedly were willing to teach us for free(but ended up asking for money anyway, but it's 5€ per kid so whatever...)And we do this in our free times in weekends or during breaks at school by ourselves, (the freshmen were kinda like the fuck? When we started dancing next to the volley field, But I think they got used to it by now)

Random thoughts about Playboyy the series ep 8:

▪️Nont had a really hard time after watching the video of his brother. He was ready to give up everything until Prom suggested that it may not be true. However, it seems this investigation has really taken a toll on Nont's mental health. He seemed to be exhausted and felt like he didn't know his brother very well. In addition, the group of Nant's friends are not really his friend, Prom was Nant's lover first and he can't seem to find his place in between all of this. I felt a bit sad for him.

▪️I don't know what's the deal anymore between Captain and Keen. At first, it seemed like Captain was toying with Keen's affection (the parody of an advertisement about how sex gives you what you desire was a bit silly but funny anyway). I also find it disturbing how he still films them without telling him and also selling the clips online. I can't believe Keen is that foolish. He has more secrets and Captain better be safe because it could earn him a lot more problems (we all saw the mask 🧐...).

▪️First and Soong got a small scene together with role play and foot licking (not sure if it's the right way of describing it). They always had their own kinks. I prefer to concentrate on the fact that First recognized that he has feelings for Soong.

▪️Zouey and Teena are still in bliss. Nothing else to say about them. I'm glad they are happy. They can be lovey-dovey. I don't mind at all.

▪️Obviously I'm glad Phop is alive and well. I may find his relationship with Nuth not really healthy but they seem to be in a better place. I really liked their conversation about how it is hard to find love as a queer person when you're in your mi-thirties. I felt really touched by what Nuth said.

▪️Aob and Puen... What can I say?! Their story feels like it doesn't belong to this series. It was funny, at first, how they were rivals but also lovers, but now I couldn't care less about them.

▪️I was more sad for Porsche because Jump doesn't really care for him and has been annoyed by him for a long time. They may have done it last episode, but Jump prefers to find someone else. Porsche's sugar daddy is coming back and I want to know what change it will create in Jump and Porsche's relationship.

▪️By the way, I was taken aback by Prom's admission that he doesn't have a real brother. Porsche isn't his brother, as we know now, but what exactly is their relationship? I wish we had more backstory about how they really became "close" and what's their relationship with the sugar daddy. I feel like there are too many missing points.

Well, this episode wasn't my favorite. I hope next week, it will be more interesting for me.
