They have a number of romantic moments throughout the TNG series from arguably the first but DEFINITELY the second episode. but they only get together (briefly before divorcing) in an alternate timeline episode which is also the season finale. Also they have a kid together in Picard but are still not allowed to be together She was married to his best friend and he was in love with her but wouldn’t say anything because he wouldn’t want to damage his bestie’s marriage and then his friend died and they met again years later and shared a lot of romantic and sexual tension for years. He openly admitted (under mind reading) that he had loved her since his bestie was alive but felt he couldn’t act on it. In an alternate future they got married. In the canon future they got together and broke up repeatedly because trauma makes relationships hard sometimes and they have a kid together who is named after the aforementioned bestie. An episode forcing them to share thoughts makes him openly admit that he loves her and has loved her for years even when she was married to his best friend.

kit herondale and livvy blackthorn:

They were literally straight bait. So Kit, Livvy and Livvy’s twin brother Ty were a trio with their own side plots in TDA. And well. We literally meet Kit when Ty breaks into his house and puts a knife to his throat and Kit gets distracted by Ty’s eyes. Then later Kit and Livvy have a few moments and kiss once. Then Livvy dies. There are some necromancy shenanigans. Kit confesses his love to Ty then immediately flees the country. Like Kit/Ty was clearly endgame from the start but Livvy and Kit just made out once.

galo and aina (submitted as lio and galo):

Iirc, the whole time the audience was set up to believe that Galo will get together with a teammate named Aina (i might be completely wrong but i think she showed romantic interest in him). That's what usually happens, anyways. However, studio trigger turned that premise on its head with Galo's budding relationship with Lio. In order to save Lio, Galo kissed him. They kissed.

jeff winger and britta perry:

the show starts off with jeff creating the study group so that he can get with britta, they serve essentially as narrative foils, with jeff not caring about people and britta caring too much about people, they nearly get married on THREE (3) separate occasions, they're secret friends with benefits for an entire season but break up when the group finds out, they're the only two people from the core group left in greendale when the show ends; but in the end they make jeff's "true love interest" the girl who was half his age when the show started (36/18)...

angel and cordelia chase:

They met as characters on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but their dynamic doesn't take off until the Angel spinoff Because the showrunners of Angel didn't go in with the idea of putting these two together, the characters' friendship was allowed to develop organically without the assumption of romance, which then made the realization of their feelings for each other more satisfying. Unfortunately the shadow of Bangel (Buffy x Angel) still held over Angel's character, so I think it was a hard sell at the time and didn't gain a lot of popularity in the years since. Both these two characters grew alongside each other, supported each other, and despite knowing that they loved each other, let each other go to pursue their destinies. A really underrated het pairing!

matthew and mary crawley:

They spend multiple seasons full of tension to get their happy ever after. There are so many tropes used between these two. They finally get their shit together and get married, and then have a beautiful child together. Matthew is so happy about his child being born that he doesn't pay attention to the road and fucking DIES IN A CAR CRASH. And that's how their story ends. It makes me so livid every time I think about it lol they really killed him off like that right after and I mean RIGHT AFTER his child is born. It's so foul and every man that they set Mary up with after that doesn't feel nearly the same

keiichi maebara and rena ryugu:

Fluffy harem romcom twists into yandere horror, but then twists again into a story of friendship triumphing over everything. Really holds for any pairing with Keiichi, but the rooftop battle in part 6 is just too good. A recent manga spinoff has them married to total randos, so their respective sons can have the same kind of relationship.

raleigh beckett and mako mori:

Literally everything about the writing of Pacific Rim make it seem like they're setting up for a romance between these two and then they just. Don't. Despite this, "drift compatable" was one of the most popular AUs for couples after the film came out for a hot minute because of how romantic they made the concept seem. *gestures to the entire movie* seriously (note: "drift compatible" essentially describes an in-universe quality of the relationship between raleigh and mako, meaning this quality was so romantic that it would be implemented for other ships in au fanfics)

kagome higurashi and inuyasha from inuyasha:

They didn’t get together until the VERY END of the whole show and even then it was a little ambiguous (was it a BFF “I love you?” 🤷🏼‍♀️)

simon dying happily cuz he knows soap’s safe, that he’s finally managed to protect the one light left in his life, only for him to be saved (again) in a way that genuinely surprises him and solidifies that johnny is it for him.

or johnny, more or less doing the same but he’s doing it to stop the world from reaping what’s left of simon (also a confession of love that he thinks is unrequited and is ok with that). only for simon to be dragging his ass back which is also a moment of genuine surprise.

Beyond Twilight’s Veil (In Planning) - When Risen begin appearing in Ylisse, Chrom ventures into Plegia on Emmeryn’s behalf to try to find a joint solution, meeting and readily befriending Robin along the way.  When things go wrong, leaving Robin half-transformed and Validar dead, the Shepherds are forced to flee Gangrel’s pursuit; two years later, Robin claims the Plegian throne and reaches out to Ylisse in an attempt to rebuild lost friendships.

War Crimes (In Planning) - A collab with anankos; the Exalt of Ylisse becomes a willing host to Naga’s power in a bid to wipe Plegia off the map, but the Fell Dragon’s return puts the war in a deadlock.  Chrom is kidnapped and brought to Plegia in a desperate bid to open diplomatic channels, but when that fails he ends up as as a guest and becomes unlikely friends with Robin, the son of a Plegian tactician (who has more than a few secrets).

Manwearer (In Planning) - After becoming separated from his mother, Robin is raised by the taguel of Panne’s warren.  On hearing about a threat to the Exalt’s life, the warren mobilizes to her aid, and Robin and Panne ally with the Shepherds to uncover the deeper mystery behind the attack. 

Assassin’s Creed: Awakening (In Planning) - An Assassin’s Creed AU; when Emmeryn is kidnapped and slated to become a Grimleal sacrifice, Chrom and the Shepherds rush to save her – only her rescue comes at Plegian hands, instead.  Defying his crusading father, Chrom chooses to stand by Robin and ends up embroiled in a millennia-old conflict between secret forces.

Smoke and Mirrors (In Planning) - A Pokemon crossover AU; Robin and her Zoroark Reflet (who prefers a human guise that passes for her brother) join with Chrom, a Pokemon Ranger branching out into competitive training; and his sister Lissa, an aspiring pokemon medic.   This brings them into conflict with the Grimleal who are hunting for the Legendary Pokemon Giratina – a pokemon that Robin and Reflet have a very curious connection to.

Sibling AU (In Planning) - Grima is Robin’s older brother and unwilling puppet ruler of Plegia; when Emmeryn invites the recently-crowned king to Ylisse for diplomatic discussions, Grima sneaks his younger brother along to show him the world he’s never had a chance to see, and both unexpectedly find new friends in what they long believed were enemy lands.

Cardcaptor Lissa (In Planning) - A Cardcaptor Sakura crossover AU where Lissa accidentally unseals the Book of Naga and releases magical cards into the world; with the help of a tiny dragon named Tiki, she has to recapture them all before Grima reawakens to usher in the end of days. 

Promare AU (In Planning) - A Promare AU; after Chrom thwarts a group of Grimleal dark mages from kidnapping an Ylissean family, his world is turned upside down by a series of shocking revelations, and he chooses to side with Robin to save the Ylissean Grimleal imprisoned by his father’s orders.

As You Are (In Planning) - Robin comes to Ylisse on a diplomatic mission, hoping to warn the Exalt of a potential threat; when an attack leaves the Plegian blind, Chrom confesses his feelings – only to be rebuffed as Robin believes that the feelings are born of guilt, leaving Chrom to grapple with what he fears are unrequited feelings.

Pride and Joy (In Planning) - Raised in Plegia under Mustafa’s care, Robin is drafted into Validar’s assassination attempt on Emmeryn – but decides that the orders should not be fulfilled and defects, saving the Exalt’s life.  In the trials to follow, Robin tries to keep the Ylisseans safe from Gangrel’s forces without exposing her own wavering loyalties.

Prisoner of War (In Planning) - The Exalt’s war has left Plegia in ruins, its citizens scattered and the remnants of the army using guerrilla tactics to oppose the crusade.   When his father calls him to the front, Chrom is captured by the Plegian resistance, and rapidly discovers that everything he thought he knew about Plegia (and the Heart of Grima who took him captive) is wrong.

Speaker for the Dead (In Planning) - Raised under Validar’s cruel abuse, Robin exists as little more than a hollow shell, surviving each day on the battlefield.  When Chrom reaches out to him and offers a glimpse of something better than the threat of death, Robin cautiously accepts and gradually begins to recover from the traumas of Validar’s upbringing.

Design Defect (One-Shot) - A modern AU where Robin is the son of the head of the Grimleal mafia who enters Ylisstol University and meets Chrom, son of Exalt Corp’s CEO and the heir to the family company.  While Robin might have some ulterior motives for getting close to Chrom at first, he quickly gets in over his head.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses

Kintsugi (In Planning) - A Golden Deer-based golden route, where Claude decides from the moment he reunites with Byleth that they’re going to save as many lives as possible.

Pre-Timeskip Fix-It (In Planning) - A Black Eagles-based fix-it AU where Byleth gets to shut down Edelgard’s alarming rhetoric every time she opens her mouth, and the Imperial princess stumbles her way through the process of becoming a better person.

Spite Project (In Planning) - A canon-divergent AU where the question of “what would have happened if Edelgard had hired Miklan to kill Claude and Dimitri at the start of the year?” leads to Claude and Dimitri saving each other in more ways than one.

Controlled Chaos (One-Shot) - In the midst of battle against Muspell, Kiran is taken prisoner by Laegjarn and whisked away from the field; when the leaders of the Order elect to wait, the Heroes take matters into their own hands -- led by the last Hero anyone would have expected.

Project: Elements (In Planning) - My Pokemon magnum opus following a scientist in Team Rocket who discovers that her genetic theory has been put into practice without her knowledge or consent; taking charge of the project herself, she finds herself warring with the ethics and morality of her work when young lives hang in the balance.

Pokekids (In Planning) - Based on an FYCD prompt meshed with an original story in development; the story revolves around an original region and original characters setting out on their journey, the challenges they meet along the way, and the friends they make in the process.

The Rising Wind (Complete) - An AU fic based on loveyou-x3000′s Wind Prompt, exploring the aftermath of Kagura’s death, her revival in a borrowed human form, her developing bond with Sesshomaru, and their eventual family.

Maelstrom (In Planning) - A canon-divergent AU where Sesshomaru diverts Kagura after she betrays Naraku, preventing her death at his hands; as she becomes ingrained within the group, though, Naraku sees an opportunity to make use of her even when she is not within his direct control.

Ace Attorney

Crime of Passion (In Development) - My Ace Attorney magum opus; Miles Edgeworth is once again accused of murder and taken in by police, but this time Phoenix Wright won’t be able to take his case -- because the victim of the crime is none other than the defense attorney.  It’s up to Maya to defend the prosecutor this time, while Miles is forced to confront the hard truths about his relationship with the missing lawyer.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH oh, okay! Actually I have no clue if that’s why other people ship them? It might be? It might also be that them being the last two out of the group made people consider the ship and then start actually enjoy the possibility of it? I don’t know! Personally SeroMina is one of the ships I’ve been shipping the longest (I’ve been on it since before starting to like kamijirou, actually!) and one of the only three ships in bnha I have a seriously hard time breaking up and shipping around (the other two being ochadeku and bakushima) so I’m reasonably sure my ending up liking them was an independent thought process and it wasn’t guided by shipping other things? But it’s been so long that I can’t really say why I first considered them as a possibility, so who knows, really! Might be, might not!

The reason why I’m still shipping it right now is that I find them highly compatible, that their interactions in canon give me life, and that I just find them extremely visually pleasing - I think I have a very specific way of shipping them? In my head? I have this story about them, or... an ideal way in which I like to think they might happen, and it makes me very happy and makes me feel very warm and it’s just, it’s ideal? To me, the possibility of Sero and Ashido ending up together would make for an ideal lovestory and relationship, it just gives me the fuzzies haha it’s like, you know, they’re very very good friends, and to me that’s the most solid base to start a relationship, and they’re comfortable with one another which is wonderful. They’re the same type of silly and extra and rowdy which is fun, and I’m very very stuck on the fact that when Ashido was talking about her future agency she just assumed Sero would be in it - she wants him in her future??? how cute is that!! he wasn’t the only one she mentioned so I’m not saying it’s “canon proof” or whatever, I just like that out of the squad the only one she assumed would be with her in the future is Sero, it’s soft I like it. And I like how she’s by canon called bright and shining and eyecatching and Sero’s by canon called plain, I like the possibilities in that, the feelings in that, but especially I like the idea of bright shining wonderful Ashido with her love for everything romantic and always in search of her own shining love story one day looking at Sero and realizing that she doesn’t want anyone else!! because he makes her laugh! he makes her happy! he makes her feel like she’s perfect the way she is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! with her loud laugh and childish sense of humor and overly-bright fashion sense, and I love love love the idea of Sero thinking her completely out of his league and never thinking anything could ever happen between them but like, not in a sad pining sort of way? more in a “she’s ideal and I know she’s out of my league so I’m not putting any thought in it but she ideal”, only for Ashido!!! to confess!!!!!!! Hello you beautiful burning soul! I just read your glorious post about when Lio De Galon fell for each other and it was exactly what I needed. The way you put everything together was truly perfect. I noticed at the end you said you could talk for ages about how the kiss of life scene demonstrated Galo's love, so from someone who is in love with your thought process and currently trapped in a 2 week quarantine, I would truly love to hear more!

Oh thanks so much! ;; And ya I’d love to talk more about the kiss from Galo’s end,, he really is just incredibly sweet 

One thing that really defines the scene is how incredibly tender Galo is throughout the whole thing. Galo, a character otherwise portrayed as a veritable loose cannon, always running in guns blazing. He’s an action hero who’s always ready to go running to someone’s rescue or jump into a fight; he’s a very fired up and reactionary sort of person. You know, the whole “burning soul” thing--which is adorable by the way.

Promare also likes to play up the fact that Galo isn’t just someone who acts on his instincts--and I’ll say they’re often rather good instincts at that--but he also comes off as a bit oblivious. So you have scenes where he’s really well meaning, like when he’s having this open heart to heart with Aina and then rushes to go catch her when she falls. She’s his closest friend, so of course he cares about her. But he still gets caught up in seeing that Burnish streak of fire in the distance and immediately drops her on the spot, lmao. It’s not because he’s insensitive or anything, he’s just a bit scatterbrained at times and gets caught up in his own excitement and likes to go running off.

But now, compare that with how Galo treats Lio during the kiss--especially since Aina did try to lean in for a kiss just moments before Galo gets distracted. Again, he still obviously cares about her, but the tone of these scenes just read completely different. I rewatched it and one of the first things that caught my eye is how Galo takes the time to gently tip Lio’s head up before that kiss of life. It’s this very small thing, and something you’d just assume happens, but seeing it animated like that is such an intimate little detail that adds a very delicate touch. When Galo catches Aina, she leans in while he’s just frozen there. But here we see Galo initiate, and the way he cradles Lio so carefully and holds him close is just so soft and intimate.

Here’s the thing as well, Galo’s seen this happen before. He knows what’s at stake. When Thyma turns to ash, Lio solemnly tells him that this is what all Burnish have to look forward to someday. It’s their fate, and he’s already made his peace with that. Lio is someone who’s more than ready to martyr himself for this cause, he already believes his own life is forfeit. Because even if he doesn’t die fighting for the Burnish, even if they all find a home to live in peace, this story still ends the same for him. Nothing but ashes.

And Galo just can’t rationalize that. He lashes out, pushes back, rejects any reality where you’re destined to just fade away. He wants more for the Burnish. For Lio. And he’ll do anything to save him from that, even if it means defying fate--“So here’s what I’m gonna do--save him, save you, and then, save the world. Just shut up and watch.”

Galo feels for Lio, mourns for him, begs him not to go-“Stay with me, Lio! Come on, damn it! Don’t you disappear on me! I’ve gotta do something...” The fact that he’s so desperate, that what he says is “stay with me,” “don’t you disappear on me,” he’s so incredibly vulnerable here in a way that goes beyond his usual honesty and directness. Even for Galo, someone who so readily speaks his mind, you get the feeling he was so shaken in the moment that something he didn’t mean to say, something more, may have just slipped out. If you’re looking for some sort of heartfelt confession from Galo, it’s right here.

It’s not just that he wants Lio to live, because of course he does. It’s also that he doesn’t want Lio to leave him--like Kray, and presumably like his family (who he likely lost in that childhood fire). There’s something inherently so powerful to me about Lio and Galo’s relationship here and Galo’s experience with fire. For Galo, his home--and again, likely his parents--were lost in a fire. He clings to Kray as a result and develops a deep emotional attachment to him as a means of coping with that trauma, trying to salvage the one thing he has left from that wreckage. Galo has tried to reach out and embrace others even when confronted by his trauma before, and time and time again, he just gets burned. After trying to defend Kray. After trying to reach out to Thyma. His scars are a testament to the fact that, regardless of how good his intentions are, he should never play with fire.

But when it’s Lio? When it’s his fire? When Galo confronts him in the city, even through the searing pain of it, he doesn’t flinch away. “It’s not hot at all.” For years, fire was representative of everything Galo had lost. But finally, it gave him something back in return. “It’s just like before--Lio’s fire protected me. This little spark was my shield.” Galo gives so much, is willing to sacrifice so much, all for the sake of others. And in that moment, Lio used the last of his strength to honor that good faith by protecting Galo with his life, even if it meant Kray destroying him. And in Galo’s hands, that fire--Lio’s spark--it’s healing. It’s life. It’s this exchange of feelings between them. A spark, a fire, a kiss, but it’s them and their relationship and how badly they want to be there for each other.

Everything about this scene--the colors, the mood, the lighting, the way the music softens and goes quiet and they’re held in each other’s arms just sharing that kiss for such a considerable amount of time, how it’s never played off as a joke or anything other than the moving heartfelt vulnerability it delivers--it’s so outright romantic and I fucking love it.

Even the comedic relief aspect of it just feels very sweet; it’s not a joke at the kiss itself, which would’ve left such a bad taste in my mouth, but wouldn’t have surprised me unfortunately. No, it’s just Galo getting all worked up over starting his first fire, and there’s something about the way he and Lio play off each other here that just feels so natural and adorable. Even better, Galo only starts panicking about fires after Lio gives him the softest look and says, “Did you just save me...” so it comes off more as Galo being flustered than anything. And of course, merely moments later, Lio smiles at him and goes, “How about we burn the world to the ground?”

“Lio, have you lost your mind? How could you ask me, a firefighter, to do that?” “That’s why we need you. Your firefighter’s soul. This time, let’s call it Galo De Lion.” For all his nerves about starting his first fire, he’s ultimately willing to burn the whole world with Lio if he asks. Fire becomes this form of catharsis for both of them; something that sustains them, connects them, a sign of implicit trust. Lio De Galon, and Galo De Lion, they both belong together.

Itai no wa Iya nano de Bougyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu. - Cute girl kicks ass in video games in the most absurd ways.  Lots of fun.

K - You’ll cry.  I confess I didn’t love it when I watched it but it stuck with me and the prequel movies are fantastic.

Little Witch Academia - The movies are so fun.  The show was alright but worth a watch if you like the movies.

Ookiku Furikabutte - A cute baseball anime.

Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta… - Reverse harem isn’t always good, but when it is it’s some of my favorite stuff.  The mc is just so likable and her antics are always fun.

Promare - It’s a fun time.

PSYCHO-PASS - Not a fun time but still an old thing you need to see.

Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan - I laughed until I cried.  It’s the serotonin you need.

Shadows House - For a horror mystery it’s v cute.  Also not a lot of horror.

SHIROBAKO - A fun story about friends pursuing their dreams in the anime industry.  Not something I would typically rec but it makes me happy so maybe it’ll suit you.

Yuru Camp△ - A cute story about girls camping.

Yuukoku no Moriarty - Not happy but I love a good mystery.

Amagi Brilliant Park - I’ve said before kyoani is more about style than substance and this is the perfect example.  That said, it’s a good time.

Ballroom e Youkoso - An enjoyable anime with pretty dresses bc ballroom dancing.

Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri - Honestly this anime is the reason I like isekai.  It’s been a while but I remember having so much fun.

Haikyuu!! - How have you not seen hq? Sports boys always make me happy so....

Joukamachi no Dandelion - I don’t remember much beyond thinking it was fun.

Kuroko no Basket - Just watch the super power basketball.  See what got me into sports anime.

Lovely★Complex - A cute romcom from my childhood.

Net-juu no Susume - A cute romcom about finding love in unexpected places.

Prince of Stride: Alternative - Not like amazing but fun sports.

“You guys were behind the burning of Foresight academy?!” Galo yelled in shock as he scratched his mountain of hair, “man. . . when they said two students were behind it I didn’t think it would be you two!”

“I guess so. . .” you awkwardly scratched your cheek, “at first we were worried some of our old classmates looking for us, but they gave up after a couple of weeks. Lio’s wardrobe changed entirely!” you laughed while pointing at Lio, “he used to wear those basic school uniforms with the button up and slacks, but now he sports the leather look!” 

You whined as you felt Lio tug on your cheeks, clearly showing his embarrassment. “S-Shut up you! We don’t talk about that!” 

“B-But you were so cute!” 

Meis leaned his head over towards you, “you were a skater before?” 

"Yup! I actually practiced skating with Lio back at the frozen lake Galo and he dropped into, I can’t believe you guys melted it all the way! I don’t even think I could skate there anymore!” You laughed it off while Lio turned his head off to the side, feeling a bit guilty for ruining what was once a good memory for you. He had already thought numerous times about how your skating career was affected by his own routine, but remembering the frozen lake from weeks ago made him feel disappointed in himself. 

From the corner of your eye you had already spotted his dampened mood and pulled him close to you. “But without you two, we wouldn’t have defeated Kray! Thank god!” 

You smiled before giving Lio a kiss on the cheek, his face growing more crimson by the second as he tried to act calm, “I was hoping to skate there last time when we crash landed near the cave but I was worried we’d get caught.” 

“Oh! I remember that!” Galo perked up, “you were talking about it to Lio when we first met, maaan~ You were super intimidating! So cool!”

“How so?” You asked, your lips forming a pout to which Lio resisted the urge to grab you right there and kiss you, he too wanted to know what Galo was talking about. 

“Let’s see. . .”

“Oi! Come back! Wait!” Galo called out, struggling against the ropes that tied his hands behind his back while Lio turned away from him. You were leaning against the wall, your piercing (e/c) staring directly at him before watching Lio continue towards the rest of the Burnish having their meal. Part of you really wanted to throw this man out off of a cliff for his ignorance, but you knew that Lio wouldn’t take that too well. You clicked your tongue before walking up to Galo, crouching down to his level as you leaned forward.

“What do you take us for Rescue Hero? Monsters? We’re humans, we cry and feel anger just the same as you. We have our own heart beats, isn’t that what makes us alive, like you?” You narrowed your eyes while he stared at you in surprise, “we make sacrifices just like you guys.”

Your hands reached out to his chin, gripping it tightly, “know your god damn place here Rescue hero. You’re only here because of Kray Foresight and you’re not the only person here who had to make fucking decisions that you think is right for everyone,” you hissed. 

“Since you’re such a hero, why don’t you save us then? Aren’t we the one suffering?” Galo carefully gulped before his eyes dropped to the floor, his mind running wild with the new information given to him. Was he fighting for the wrong side here? You quickly stood up and turned around, your body about to walk back towards the group to clean up but you remained still. 

You clenched your fist close to your heart, “we never asked for this you know. Not all of us have an equal chance at life, and we must do what it takes for us to survive,” you slowly dropped your fist to your side, “Galo Thymos was it? Next time I see you in our way, I’ll burn right through you.” 

You took slow steps forward and craned your neck to turn to him, “this is Lio’s dream and I won’t let you take that away from him.” You started to walk away from him, Galo still remaining silent and still from his spot, his struggles halting to a screeching stop long ago. 

You merely scoffed, he knew nothing about the Burnish or your struggles. You grit your teeth at the thought, withholding your frustration and shoving it down through multiple layers. Galo Thymos knew nothing about your struggle, he was just a regular human destined for greatness.

As you reached Lio’s side, he grabbed onto your hand and intertwined your fingers, his lips parting slightly for words before closing. Your eyes occasionally flickered to the exit of the cave which was next to the lake but you focused on the violet flames that were keeping everyone warm. Lio tightened his grip around your hand at the sight. 

“I’m sorry we couldn’t spend time here again. I know how much you wanted to go out there.” You bit the bottom of your lips to stifle your tears.

“It’s okay.” 

Thats right. You had to make a lot of sacrifices to get where you are. Galo watched as Lio pulled you close to him, comforting your taller figure before quickly wrapping up their activities to leave on the stolen vehicle. 

“I felt really bad about that, S/o. You wouldn’t know how much I thought about what you said afterwards,” Galo started, “your words stuck with me and I’m quite lucky you gave me that second chance,” he raised his open palm, almost as if he was imagining the Promare’s flames were dancing in the center. Galo couldn’t express it in words, but he was utterly grateful for your flames which was strong enough to pierce through Kray’s fire. 

“You’re really devoted and honest S/o,” He smiled. “Your dedication really rivals my firefighter soul!” 

“I can’t take most of the credit considering the fact that you and Lio were the ones to complete the Promare’s burning.” You shook your head as Lio toyed with the strands of your hair, thinking about what you had said to Galo. 

“Was that your first kiss by the way boss?” Gueira asked, Lio dropping his previous actions.

“No, it wasn’t,” he deadpanned. 

“W-What? Eeeeh?”

“No way! Boss had his first kiss before that?!”

“S/o! Explain!”

“About that. . .” you scratched your cheek awkwardly as you looked over towards Lio, “in junior high. . . our classmates thought that setting me up with another guy would be a great idea so he confessed to me under the tree near the gardening club! So he was—” 

“He was about to kiss her so I kissed her first.” Lio butted, clearly annoyed at the memory since he crossed his arms around his chest. “He got so scared he ran for his life, serves him right.” 

“He wasn’t even that great of a guy, he absolutely hated the Burnish and it pissed me off.” Lio continued, rolling his eyes as if this was a very simple and boring topic. You felt your face redden from embarrassment and you quickly covered your face with your hands as you had comedic steam coming out of your ears. 

“It was so embarrassing seeing him stare at us!” You commented.

“Did you guys start dating after that?” Galo asked. 

“Actually, we never even said anything about being boyfriend or girlfriend, or whatever,” Lio rested his chin under the palm of his hand, “we never needed words,” he turned to you and smiled innocently. 

“Right darling?” You let out an exhausted sigh before curling up to Lio, a pout on your face. 

“Sheesh~ That doesn’t excuse the fact that our friends kept talking about it. . .”

"What? That was a good thing!” 

“You liked the attention Lio! It was weird hearing about it from teachers too!”
