Not sure how simple/detailed you wanted the prompts, but maybe: Hikaku needs Tobirama to look over a trade agreement or some such, but finds him during Uncle Tobirama and Senju-prince/princess time? How awkward or horrifying or good at it Tobirama is at being a babysitter, you may decide!

It's Take Your Niece To Work Day!!

Hikaku pauses only briefly as he steps into the office.

Tobirama is there, as expected; the pink-haired child sitting in his lap and staring right at him is not. He doesn't ask the obvious question -- Tobirama wouldn't appreciate it.

"I have the counter-offer from Rice Country, if you have time to go over it right now?" He doesn't ask as confidently as he would otherwise. If Tobirama didn't have his niece in his lap, it wouldn't be a question at all.

"Ah, good. Yes, bring it here."

Hikaku might hesitate a moment, but there's no real argument he can make against it, so he does.

Sitting across from Tobirama balancing numbers is not an unusual way for Hikaku to spend his time and the tries to keep his focus, truly, but the toddler in Tobirama's lap babbles something unintelligible and in response her uncle starts bouncing his knee to entertain her. She giggles, which Hikaku must not do a good enough job at ignoring, because Tobirama, though he doesn't look up from his work actually acknowledges her presence with an explanation.

"There was an issue with her caretaker." He says, and then, realizing how ominous such a vague statement must sound, continues, "Hashirama has been handling that scheduling himself while Mito is traveling."

Tobirama gave up on trying to salvage his brother's dignity to Hikaku about one months into getting to witness his dramatics firsthand. Today, the Hokage is currently entertaining envoys from the capitol and must have passed the problem on to his brother. If that's how it is, then he'll have no right to act surprised when he finds out Tobirama brought her to work.

"I see…" Hikaku says, and shakes himself into responding instead of staring at the clear fondness in Tobirama's expression when he glances down at the child, "Well, this isn't particularly time sensitive, so it's no trouble for me to come back later…"

But Tobirama only shakes his head.

"No need. We're getting plenty done, aren't we?"

Maybe he is. Before Hikaku can respond, the toddler babbles again, finishing her statement with a very assertive, "Ji!"

This is apparently a demand that Tobirama understands, because he reaches into a desk drawer to take the stamp he uses to sign off on documents. Since it's Tobirama's, of course there's some kind of seal on it making it so that it doesn't need to be re-inked. He hands it to his niece who begins stamping away at the paper he sets out for her (and the surrounding desk) with delight.

He's far more indulgent of her than Hikaku expected, and something about it makes his heart clench, which he summarily ignores by forcing himself to look back at his own paperwork. Trying to calculate tariffs and taxes is much harder with such a distraction in the room, but he does manage it for a while -- until Tobirama's niece decides that she's bored of making art and wriggles out of her uncles lap.

It's nearly impossible not to lose focus when a toddler has crept her way around the edge of a desk and is staring at you, or so Hikaku would argue. Tobirama is clearly keeping an eye on her but otherwise carries on calculating transportation costs, saying nothing about the way Hikaku has paused in his own work.

With narrow-eyed determination, she abandons the cover of the desk to take two unsteady steps over to Hikaku and grab onto his mantle.

"Ah." He says, looking down. "Hello."

"Aa." She answers.

Tobirama doesn't make a sound, but he's covered his mouth as though he might feel the need to muffle one, or maybe like he's trying to hide his expression.

"She's not normally so willing to approach strangers." He says from behind his hand.

She makes another unintelligible sound, but raises her hands. The meaning is clear enough: pick me up.

Hikaku should probably not pick up the Hokage's daughter, but he glances at Tobirama who is clearly hiding a smile behind that hand from the way his eyes are crinkled and immediately relents. She squeals in delight and immediately grabs for the chains that hang over his shoulders.

Tobirama's composure finally breaks, and his shoulders shake in a soundless laught.

"It's a shame you're always so busy." He says, "I could recommend you as a babysitter."

"So are you," Hikaku counters, "And yet here we are."

Tobirama only hums. And busy as he is, Hikaku will stay in his office an extra hour, because his niece has decided to fall asleep in his lap.

"My lord father says that one day I am to be married."

Hashirama turned back to look at Madara as they wandered through the woods. It was the height of summer and the dead, dry heat of the noonday sun made it too hot to spar. Therefore, Hashirama had suggested that they go for a walk and collect mushrooms to steam with the fish they had caught earlier.

"Madara, we're only children, your father cannot mean to get you hitched for many moons yet."

The other boy scowled ferociously and Hashirama fought to keep his smile away. Madara really had a tendency to make things so much bigger than they were. If he was really from some important clan as he claimed, then he would have known that this was always going to be his future.

"I don't care how old I get. I'll never do it."

"Why? It'll be like having a constant companion by your side."

"No."

They walked in silence for some moments more, Madara sulking and Hashirama pausing here and there to examine the growth of the moss on the trees and the texture of the bark. When he got back home, he might be able to strip some of the bark and stew it for dinner.

"Have you ever kissed anyone?"

Hashirama felt his entire face go red and he whirled around to face his friend, who had lifted his chin in a haughty expression to mask his own embarassment.

"What!?"

"You heard me."

"No. I don't know. I don't really see anyone but you outside of my clan."

They stood facing each other, Madara tugging at his hair and Hashirama fiddling with a loose string on his haori.

"Do you want to try it?"

"I-I mean..."

They stood there and then Hashirama darted forward and pecked Madara on the mouth.

Madara inhaled sharply and Hashirama gasped audibly.

Then Madara took Hashirama's in his hands and kissed him back. It was messy. Madara's grip on his face was too tight, and both of their lips were chapped from being in the sun too long, making the movement of their mouths awkward. He didn't know what to do with his hands and eventually settled them on Madara's shoulders.

When they broke apart, Madara's face was so red, Hashirama thought that he might catch fire on the spot. He took deep breaths trying to get his chakra under control and wiped his mouth while Madara stared at the ground.

"If you tell anyone about this, Hashirama, I will kill you."

"I'm not going to share my supper with my potential killer. Find your own mushrooms."

"Hey!"

The two boys rushed further into the forest. They did not speak of this moment again, but for a moment things were softer and more open between them than they would be again.

Not two months later, Tajima called Madara to the main Uchiha encampment for a plan of war and the assassination of the Senju prince.

"Madara!"

The sheer emotion riddled through Hashirama's tone had the Uchiha halting in his tracks. Mangekyo still activate, Madara turned to look at the head Senju over his shoulder.

In the dim light, one could mistaken Hashirama for a Prince rather than the war lord he was. The brunet's cheeks were reddened, and his hat was clenched in his fist. His chakra thrumed around him, invisible and fatal.

"That is enough."

Madara turned fully, mouth open and sharp retort loaded.

"Shut up and listen for once in your damn life!" Hashirama had never sounded so angry before. Madara was startled into silence and watched silently as the Hokage marched forward until he had to tilt his head back to meet his gaze.

"You have been through a lot, I know you have, and if there was something I could do to ease your pain, I would. But it has been three years. I have been patient. We have all been walking on eggshells around you, but I am done watching you drown yourself in despair in some sort of self-righteous mission to make your brothers death meaningful!"

Hashirama eyes were molten pools of emotion, and a sting of guilt ripped through Madara's chest.

Everything had been planned out in his head. In none of his considerations did he expect Hashirama to respond like that. He wasn't prepared for the relief and fear that rose within him.

Madara was so shocked by the others' bluntness that he didn't notice the vines slowly crawling closer.

"Everyone has lost someone. Everyone! That's what happens in war. But you can't make your entire life about Izuna's death! Would he want you to suffer like this!?"

Hashirama's hands curled tightly around Madara's shoulders, and the Uchiha was forcefully grounded and completely present. There was nothing but Hashirama in that moment.

"You aren't going anywhere. The village needs you, your clan needs you, I need you."

The vines curled so softly around Madara's ankles that he didn't feel it.

"You are not walking away from me. Not again."

The vines closed around Madara's legs, and Hashirama grabbed Madara around the neck. It was all a distraction. However, another set of hands slammed into his back, and a searing pain slashed through him.

Madara gasped and instinctively curled inward, but there was no place for him to go. He was trapped. With the last of his chakra before it was sealed, he identified the perpetrator as Tobirama. Had he been there the entire time?

Madara's consciousness faded, and he slumped forward into Hashirama's waiting arms.

"You are needed here." Hashirama repeated in a soft voice, completely void of the earlier anger.

Madara's chakra system convulsed in the absence of his immense reserves.

Had a thought about Gai and Dai in GOS, was curious on your thoughts on it (I made myself cry again). Sorry for the fanfiction length.

But, what if for a while, Gai wasn't sure if he wanted to go back for reincarnation after his second life. Like no offense to Obito but... THAT LIFE WAS AWEFUL. It had some amazing highs. But the lows were so deep it was a miracle he clawed out of them. He lost his humanity. His family hated him. He had to fight Fucking uh..... That guy!!!

(Madara: I swear to me if you forget one more time-)

It was terrifying. And depressing! He never got to be with the man he loved in a way he wanted because he was a fucking dragon!!! He couldn't even bring himself to confess! Was not a fun time!!! He's almost happy to be dead because at least now he can see his hands again. His human hands...he hadn't seen them in centuries.

And Obito feels a little bad but he also struck a deal with Hashirama that Gai's next life would be amazing! Absolutely stunning. If Gai wants to move on to the next part of death, of course, he wouldn't stop him but... that would devestate his brother... so before Gai made a final choices, he asked him to see one person who wanted to see him first.

And Gai of course thinks it will be Kakashi but...its Dai. Its his original papa...

And of course the two break down seeing each other and holding each other in the classic Maito hug (can't not have it happen.) And after catching up and informing Dai about his new life, Dai listens and takes it all in stride...but very much wishes to meet Gai's so-called "father" and get him very aquainted, with his fists!!!

But after they get reaquainted and calm down, Obito tells him the plan. That when the time is right, he'd like to not only send Gai back...but send them back together, as father and son again. In a world less unforgiving (their tribe originally predated farming before the godly intervention. It was VERY hard life), full of "modern" comforts. In a time of peace. They both might need to wait a while, and he might need to practice this whole reincarnation thing because well...he's new at it and its a little hard. But he could give them an amazing shared life together if they trust them.

And they do.

Which results in King Dai, and Prince Gai. And true to his word it was an amazing life. For both of them. To the point that every time Gai would die and meet Obito again he really was all "When can I go back again?!" All enthusiastically!

But after Dai meets Gai again after the third life ends and upon hearing his story, it turns out...Dai won't be coming back again. Not ever. This was his last life.

Not because he didn't love both lives. He's not giving up on his youth...but he knows the next life has no guarantee that Gai would be his son again. Or a life after that, and he is happy just to have had the opportunity to raise Gai not only once, but twice. To hold his sweet baby son once again and then see him grow into a noble man which he might not have been able to see in his first life... all that was more than he ever wanted. He is at peace, completely fulfilled and ready to move on to the next part.

But he insists Gai should stay. Gai should be reborn as many times as he likes, forever if possible, because Dai can see the world is a better place when his son is in it. And he wants Gai to know that no matter how bad things get, or how hard they are, how old or young Gai ends up becoming, even if he becomes a dragon again or a tiny worm in the future... that Dai is always will watch over him in his own way.

No matter how the world shapes Gai's life, and who or what he becomes... Dai will always love him, and his eternally youthful spirit.

There's probably more Maito crying (because THEY NEED TO FEEL) I could even see Gai's spirit becoming a child for a bit as his papa hugs him, but they both accept each other's choice.

I'm not sure what becomes of the dead when they move on in this world. Or if Dai could have become something akin to Kakashi's lightning after his human die and their spirits mingle with his power forever (as Gai and Dai are both mortals). But I like to imagine some part of Dai is always with Gai in his heart/ spirit from there on out. No matter the lifetime or what happens, the voice of Dai cheers his heart on, and Gai keeps the spirit of youth alive with his papa in that way. Even if he can't remeber him in life, he feels his warmth in some way, always. And he gets to remwmber his papa and his kind words every time he dies.

Also Hashirama is watching ALL of this to the side with Obito (both times). He's outwardly bawling and Obito is subtly crying- ("NO I'M NOT! I HAVE SOMETHING IN HIS EYES, OKAY?! ITS DUSTY IN THE UNDERWORLD!!!"), and both go see their dads afterwards for....reasons!!!

(Hogoromo: Its been almost been a million years. Why are you visiting me?

Hashirama: Because you're my dad... 🥲

Just... I'm sorry. I love Dai and Gai so much. Sorry if none of that is true/ even slightly what you invisioned. I just like the idea of them having their own little story in this grand universe.

Ohhh all of this is beautiful and i really love the moment when the two choose their paths going forward, knowing full well they may never interact again but also getting the opportunity to tell each other how much they love each other.

I wouldn’t have Dai mingling with Kakashi’s lightning, but death in this world is very… interesting. There are spirits (like Hiroki’s daughter who hangs with Nakano) and the actual domains for dead people, but i think Dai would be one of the special few

A star that Obito places in the sky so he can watch over the world, and Gai, at all times. Dai has always wondered how things would progress and he gets to see it for himself for all of eternity. He even gets to watch as Kakashi turns into a mortal and finds Gai all over again, just to fall in love with him again.

And every-time Gai dies he gets to remember not just his parents love from that last lifetime, but all his parents love. Especially the love he gets to remember that Dai had for him.

But also, as a star Dai gets to have visitors and you bet your butt Kakashi’s going up there once in a while to make sure he’s doing ok. Gai even gets to start visiting his papa in the sky once he becomes a god 🥰🥰🥰

FINALLY WE GET TO THE PART MADA APPEARS!

As Tobirama is over here with the Harem and also endearing himself to Kagami teaching the boy proper science etiquette but also showing him really cool shit like when a certain liquid turns gold purple, Madara is having his own personal crisis;

Uchiha Madara is gay.

Super gay. if you were to look at his blood it'd be rainbow colors. He knew he was gay at a young age and was never ashamed of himself, though he keeps it secret cause the rest of the world might not welcome an Emperor that is "fated to end the lineage of Amaterasu" so while his closest friends and family know Madara would rather get a hand on another man's pillar the world is none the wiser.

He likes em pecs and biceps, tall and broad shoulders, big hands and long fingers, he likes em pretty he likes em manly he is the single most sexually repressed homosexual on the planet.

And he has a Harem full of women.

That why he avoids the Harem like one would the plague, he's half convinced that he'll break out into hives if a single lady looking to seduce him flutters their eyelashes in his direction.

Except the Harem has been acting a bit strange lately and when asked, Hikaku tells him that there is a male concubine who'd just arrived. Who? A Concubine Senju, the younger brother of Senju Hashirama. And Madara can't help but be curious about this male concubine though he imagines the other as being a cookie cutter version of the goofy advisor scholar. He likes Hashirama just fine but Hashi is a bit too...hetrosexual for his tastes. So he investigates Concubine Senju.

Dressed down from his usual Dragon robes, he now looks like a wealthy young lord who might come and go from the Forbidden Palace as a friend of Prince Izuna and that's the cover story he's going for.

He thinks he's so smart and smooth right up until he catches sight of Concubine Senju.

Loses. His. Fucking. Mind.

WHO GAVE HASHIRAMA'S LITTLE BROTHER THE RIGHT TO LOOK THAT GOOD?!

Tobirama over here minding his own business teaching Kagami how to build a kite on the lakeside and Madara is hiding in the bushes convinced that the ethereal creature he's spying on is some mythical fairy. Madara's heart is beating rapidly in his chest and the more and more he watches Tobira interact sweetly with Kagami the Emporer flushes further and further.

Something draws Tobirama's attention and Madara takes his chance to step out of the bushes and attempt to approach like he's not already infatuated.

Tobirama does not care for this suspicious young lord that's attempting to talk to him, resoundly tells this man who can't even brush his own hair that he's the Emperor's property, untouchable. (neither understand or cares why his words make the other flush red. perhaps the young lord is angry?)

Madara makes up his mind right then and there that he's going to woo the fuck out of this moon nymph and probably wring Hashirama's neck for not warning him that his little brother is such a fair beauty.

The problem is; Madara has no clue how to woo the other man. It's not like he could've learned how to flirt! He was the Crown Prince and then Emperor at a very young age, he's getting a crash coarse on how to woo a man right now!

And Tobirama keeps running into the young lord. At first it was somewhat annoying cause his studying just kept being interrupted by this stuttering, sweaty man but then it becomes kinda...cute. It takes a while for Tobirama to understand that the young lord is trying to woo him and when he does he puts his entire foot down.

Because he's the Emperor's Concubine.

And if this young lord were to take a single step out of line, if a single rumor gets out that they are 'closer than they should' it's viable for execution.

Madara's getting cockblocked by the Emperor.

Naruto-Characters as Warhammer 40k-factions

After doing something like this with atla-characters, I thought it was fun to do this with Naruto-characters. Again, this is gonna be very silly. Also all 40k factions, not just astartes-legions

Itachi: Night Lords. Renegade that uses copious amounts of terror tactics and there would be a lot more dead if someone else did the job (which doesn‘t justify what they did). Also fan favorites with black eyes, black hair and pale skin. Tough upon further thinking, Harlequin might also work? Very strong, insanly fast, kind of fragile and the terror tactics are more mind fuckery than skining people. Kisame: Carcharodons. Guys with a sharktheme and a lust for blood and I like them a lot. Samehada is allready nearly a chainsword! Sasori: The Mechanicum greatly appreciates your effort in replacing your flesh with machine-bits. Also human-puppets are pretty close to servitors Hidan: Gruesome murder for the sake of gruesome murder and personal entertainment? Sounds like the Drukhari are gonna love him. He even prolongs his life with the suffering of others! Or Slaanesh. Slaanesh would also work just not aesthetically. Kakuzu: Rogue Trader. Near infinite personal freedom and a ton of money? Yeah, he would be up for that (also they are allowed to keep Drukhari around) Konan: I‘m gonna say Sisters of Battle or Sisters of Silence, I can‘t quite remember if she sees Nagato more as a god or just a powerfull guy.

Tobirama: Inquisition. Just look at the guy who invented necromancy to use undead as a never ending tide of bombs and tell me that he wouldn‘t enjoy a little exterminatus from time to time and having waaay too much power over people. Hashirama: I‘m gonna say Exodite Eldar just for the nature-theme. Maybe also avatar of Isha? They are usually nice and have healing stuff, but you still don‘t wanna piss them of Madara: Chaos champion or demon prince, maybe he get‘s a upgrade at some point. Either Khorne or Chaos undivided, because while he does a lot of war and murders a lot of people, he also does some other stuff.

Tsunade, Shizune and Sakura: Space Marine Apothecary. Tanky battle medic. Gaara: Blood Angels. Starts out bloodcrazy and only wanting to fight but he get‘s better and ends up beeing a pretty nice guy. Also both are from deserts. Sasuke: Raven Guard maybe? He‘s suitably emo looking and Raven Guard and Night Lords really dislike each other. Orochimaru: Magos Biologis or Drukhari Homuculi coven. Doing weird, definetly unethical human experimentation as one does. Kabuto: Necrons or maybe something Nurgely? Just a guy commanding legions of the undead. Thousand Sons might also work, a sorcerer controlling empty hulls of what once were people.

Hyuuga-clan: Navigator House, eyerelated superpowers they are super secretive about, a lot of power but isolated from wider society and definetly too much inbreeding Jinchuuriki: Maybe Titans Princeps? Humans capable of controlling giant Battle-things but if they aren‘t carefull, that things mind can take over.
