People who start foaming at the mouth about the mlm flag are the most terminally annoying joyless friendless people everytime no matter what
Like no one is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to use it. And people who do use it are hurting net zero people
Like, why do you genuinely care over literally nothing

people should stop doing the so-called "flag discourse" of "X pride flag was created by someone Problematic™" and "X pride flag is a copy of Y pride flag" and instead learn what a fucking charge is holy shit stop making flags that are just stripes it's lame as hell. at least put a fucking chevron or something on there. maybe change the color of the fly or do vertical stripes for once. come on guys it's really not that hard to make a more interesting flag than a pile of pastel stripes. like come on you could just dump a heart on any pride flag and it'd instantly be improved by like 1000% it is not that fucking hard.

i just went on a deep dive into pride flags and have five minutes of being a History Nerd and loving the Labrys Lesbian pride flag cause holy shit guys it's a battle axe used in ancient Greece and dates back to the minoan era and i fucking love the minoans and the amazons used it so it was popularized by feminist groups in the 1970s and the purple is cause of sappho and lavenders how did you not know about this before this is so cool BUT
then that hope fucking dies when you realize it's used by TERFS nowadays and i'm sitting over here, a genderqueer/nonbinary lesbian, and i can't really use it cause even if i tried reclaiming it i know people are just going to think i'm a terf even though im not so i just have to sigh and move on
(if you want me to tag this with something not already tagged let me know)

Pride ask 25?
What queer discourse frustrates you the most? most/all of it? i think flag discourse annoys me most tho. yknow when ppl are like. "oh the person who made this flag is problematic, here's a NEW flag you MUST use or you're a horrible person" like. at a certain point the flag just becomes separated from its original maker? I couldn't tell you who made the non-binary flag or the ace flag or. any of them really. it's stripes of colour on a rectangle with meaning, why should people be forced to use a different one just because the person who originally aligned the colours that way turned out to kick puppies or something?
maybe i'm just too jaded/exhausted from everything to see the bigger picture here or whatever but. idk man. i'm tired. we're hated enough by the world without the fucking infighting over colours on top of it

Got into fucking flag discourse and lowkey ruined my night. This situation (hate against the gay man ag) is sad in ao many ways, because there's people who hate it due to all misinformation, people who know the truth but still hate it just because it's similar to the other flag made by a problematic person, and people who just want to be hateful.
In fact, most people who know the new version isn't the same but are still against it, seem like they just want to be hateful against mlm and don't want to admit they were wrong so they keep their crusade against a perfectly acceptable flag.
I saw people saying it's just a brighter version and an edit, when in reality all the stripes are actually different tones and RGBs specifically picked by the creator. It doesn't like, technically take from the old image at all, if you know what I mean.
How do you know and care enough to go around making call out posts and attacking people who use it, but not enough to go and check all the facts? And then I see people saying they hate the discourse, but they're contributing to it by speaking up against it. There's no way to just make everyone just stop using it all of a sudden, the only way to avoid more discourse is to actually leave it alone.

OFMD/GO crossover where Aziraphale and Crowley are invited to celebrate Calypso's Birthday and Aziraphale teaches Stede and the crew of the Revenge how to gavotte. Ed and Crowley watch while drinking wine.
Ed: "That one yours?"
Crowley: "Yeah. What--no, he's not actually mine. So to speak. He's an angel."
Ed: "Angel? Oh, mate, you've really got it bad, don't you?"
Crowley: "Do not."
Ed: "Do, too."
Crowley: "Not like I ever fantasized about him as a mermaid. Man. Mer-being."
Ed: "Fuck off."
(Crowley smirks while Ed looks annoyed as they both take another drink at the same time. Ed and Crowley's gazes drift back to Stede and Aziraphale respectively as they continue to watch them dance.
Fin.)

Me, writing academic papers: As the issue of liberalism, legalism, and capitalism applies to LGBTQ+ rights, the mainstream movement tends to prioritize being palatable to the elite–white, middle to upper class status, policymakers, corporate sponsors, etc., and assumes that the rights being sought after can be granted without concern for intersectionality. In this essay,
Me, a very grown adult, the second I finish writing academic papers: hehe time to eat so many cheemto puff and play viddy game :3

My only gripe with pride flag discourse is like, have you seen the flags for the countries? Like imagine if we started discourse over those? Like, “omg guys don’t use the flag for Chad it’s literally just a barely noticeable saturation shift of the Romanian flag!”

Please enjoy my weird flag design hyperfixation- just for fun, Pride flag revisions!
The overarching goal here was to create a more unified, coherent design scheme for what I feel are related/community flags. Rather than each flag looking and feeling totally isolated, by giving them a shared visual language we can emphasize our shared commonality while still celebrating diversity within the queer community.
And I like fucking around with flags, ok?
Some of the flag ideas from the video:
