Anakin and Padme divorced many years ago because he was a deadbeat father, an alcoholic, and she suspected him of an affair. Little did she know, it wasn't just one affair.

Anakin has three kids who are now all adults. He has an older daughter who's just like her mother and has no patience for her dad's bullshit, and a set of twins, a boy and a girl. His son has his temper, much to his mother's dismay, and his younger daughter is his little princess.

Padme and the kids stayed in the house, so he had to move to a trailer park across town. Padme always did all of the housework, which was part of the reason for the divorce, so Anakin's place is always a wreck.

There's beer cans and cigarette butts everywhere, laundry on the floor, dishes piled in the sink, playing cards scattered around. They're not all his, some of the mess can be attributed to his buddies he invites over on the weekends, but either way, he makes no effort to clean it up.

Since his wife, Anakin hasn't dated. He's brought home plenty of girls, all significantly younger than he is. Any time he's asked about it, he explains that he just prefers younger girls. He and Padme were only 19 when they got together, so he's used to being with a younger woman.

Anakin is in his forties now, but he doesn't act his age. He has a job at the mechanic's shop and he does what minimal dad duties are required of him, though now that his kids are adults, he isn't needed as much. In his free time, he gets drunk and high with his friends, goes to strip clubs, and gambles his money away.

You're a waitress at the diner near the trailer park. Anakin is a regular, though your coworkers told you he only comes in when you're working. He usually orders a cup of coffee and sits at the counter where he can flirt with you every time you walk by.

He's told you a lot about himself; you know what kind of guy he is. Borderline alcoholic, irresponsible, unfaithful. Maybe you should've listened to your parents when they told you to stay away from older guys because you've found yourself charmed by him.

Anakin showers you in compliments, especially when you wear your hair in pigtails. He tips generously even though you know he doesn't have much extra money to spare. He asks about your day and he really seems like he cares.

He knows you don't have a car and one day, when your shift was about to end, he offered you a ride home. You agreed like the naïve little thing you are and got into the passenger seat of his shitbox car. He asked if you wanted to stop at his place for a bit before he took you home. Said he had beer and he could scrape together something a bit sweeter for you if you'd prefer.

The two of you flipped through the stations on his TV until you found something good, but you didn't get to watch it for long. After the second commercial break, Anakin pulled you into his lap and grabbed at your ass greedily. You giggled and slapped at his chest playfully, and though he returned your smile, you could see the hunger in his eyes.

Anakin told you he's been obsessed with you since he first saw you. Said you're the prettiest thing he's ever laid eyes on. Said you make him feel young again. That's the kind of sweet talk that gets him all the girls that don't know better.

He drags you to the bedroom and he kisses you dizzy so you don't notice how the fitted sheet is pulled up over the corner of the mattress or the Baywatch poster on the wall. He gets on his back and sits you on top of him, ever the lazy bastard. He wants you to put on a show for him to watch eagerly like you're his personal porn star.

Your tight cunt grips him perfectly and your tits bouncing in his face mesmerize him. He loves how you're so eager to give yourself up to him. Loves that you're inexperienced enough that every tough feels electric. Loves that you're dumb enough that his promise to pull out is enough.

it's nothing new. you've been living together for a little over a year now, his mornings begin with you sleeping by his side most of the time, but riki doesn't look like he has moved on from the way you look when you're sleeping.

he thinks you look funny— ugly, maybe not ugly, but definitely funny. you look like such a mess, make weird faces, leave trails of incoherent words that wake him up in the middle of the night. your limbs are all over the bed and most of the time, they're above him, as if he's your bed or something. you never wake up the way you go to sleep, always ending up on his side of the bed, pushing him to the edge while wrapping your arms around him as if you're holding him from falling down, like you're not the reason why he's in that position in the first place. you end up taking the whole comforter and it got to the point where riki suggested using two different comforters for the sake of both of you, but it didn't help either, since you would leave yours and slide into his every single night.

but he doesn't complain, not at all. he doesn't mind if you steal his comforter and he has to sleep without one every night. it's fine if he falls down from bed once a few days, or if he wakes up with neck or back pain thanks to your habit of having your hands and legs all over him. riki doesn't have any complaints because he thinks it's a blessing to wake up every night and look at your beautiful face.

he thinks you're the prettiest while sleeping because you don't seem to care about the way you have to present yourself to people, even if it's just him and you in the room. you smile while sleeping, or frown, make some sort of angry face, etcetera etcetera; riki thinks it's adorable, because those are the moments when he realises he's in love with you.

"you could've woken me up," and sometimes, he's too busy falling in love with you, he doesn't realise you've woken up already.

"thought i'd let you sleep a little more," he speaks just above the comforting silence enveloping the two of you, trying to maintain the decorum, matching the intensity of his voice with yours while caressing your cheeks. "you're making me want to sleep again,"

"well, y—" he slips in next to you, making you shift involuntarily to make space for him. his hands are a little cold, sending bits of shivers down your spine as he wraps them around your waist, letting his fingertips trace random patterns on the bare skin under your sweatshirt. "i'd love to sleep more but, we need to make breakfast,"

"what's so good about breakfast at seven on a winter morning?" he whispers against the crook of your neck.

you chortle at the contact, "maybe that it can help me with my hunger?"

"if we sleep, we won't be hungry anymore," riki pulls back, allowing his eyes to admire your face while you take your time presuming the words behind his love sick eyes. "can i tell you something?"

"go on,"

"i think i'm in love with you,"

your lips curl into a smile, "you tell me that every day," or more so, multiple times, every day. it's more of a reminder so that you don't forget he loves you, and that he loves you more than anything else in this world, as if you're ever going to forget it.

"no i mean, i'm in love with you right now, at the moment, while we're lying next to each other; like, i'm falling in love with you right now and—" a pause, as if he's trying to build up suspense or create the atmosphere. it's simply a riki thing to do, he wants everything about you to be special. "— and, i don't think i can ever stop falling in love with you,"

it's magical how every single word that falls off his lips manages to flutter your heart. his smile never fails to fluster you even though you've been dating for three years now. riki has you going crazy and also keeps you sane. it's difficult, but you're somewhere in between. he has you head over heels for himself, making you fall for him every morning that you wake up. he's keeping you afloat but is also the reason why you're drowning. he is like a pool of contradictions in your life and you can't help it because every part of him makes you feel alive.

that is the effect riki has on you. so, you cup his cheeks, hoping that you have the same, if not more, effect on him as well. "i don't think i can ever stop falling in love with you either,"

They pretend as if it was an accident, and you're an idiot if you actually fall for it. But then again, maybe you've been pretending all this while too? Maybe that's why you're acting so oblivious to their intentions? They're watching porn when you come around, using the key to their dorm that Yeonjun had so conveniently given you a couple days back. They pretend to be surprised to see you, when they had been the ones to invite you over not more than a few hours ago. Yet they act as if they had forgotten. Heeseung, your dearest and closest friend. He’s been a big part of your life, since you’ve known him from the beginning of high school till now.

But still after all these years spent together did you expect him to fall in love with you? Of course not.

He has seen you at your lowest and highest points in life. For example, when your first love broke your heart and you cried on his shoulder for days. Or when you won competitions that you thought you could never win in the first place. Heeseung has always been there for you and you’ve always been there for him. Best friends through thick and thin.

"Has anyone ever told you that you have the prettiest side profile?" you said while looking at him from the side. You weren't lying when you said that. He really had a really nice and defined face, which made everyone fall for him even more.

You both decided to stargaze in the middle of the night at a random park that you found. You both were sitting on a very uncomfortable bench with some distance between you both, but the night was too beautiful for some bench to ruin it. Apparently tonight is a star shower, which is why Heeseung begged for you to come and watch it with him. It's better to do it in company than all alone in your room. Even better if you’re doing it with the person who made you a better version of yourself.

"Oh so my side profile is pretty? You're like the most beautiful thing here, prettier than every star i’ve looked at today, " Heeseung smiled at you while leaning his back on the bench. His statement caught you off guard. You stared at with furrowed brows. Was he flirting with you?

"This sounds a lot like you're flirting with me," you said nervously while looking back at the sky. You weren't even flustered, it was more like a confusion.

"I have been trying to do that for three years now," he said, which made you look at him in fast motion. Three years? He’s never been the flirty type with you. He’s never even showed any interest in you. So what was he talking about now?

"What are you talking about?" you said your thoughts aloud and looked up confused at him. You only saw him as a best friend and nothing more. At least that is what you thought now. I'm not talking about times in the past when he made you flustered with all his actions and words. But you’ve always put those feelings far away in a fear of making him uncomfortable.

"Y/N, I know we’ve been best friends for more than four years now and we made that stupid friendship pact where we can't date or fall for each other, but laws are made to be broken. So I say, let's give us a chance,” Heeseung said as his eyes finally left yours. He fully remembers the day you both made the agreement. It was at your one-year friendship anniversary and you both made it in fear of losing your great friendship, but still to him you’ve always been more than just a best friend.

He was now nervously shaking his leg, hoping that he didn’t just break your long-built friendship over the bold comment he just made. He was waiting for you to say something, anything. But you just nervously chuckled, not giving him an answer and looking up at the sky. Your head was flooded with so many thoughts, making you more flustered than ever.

You knew what your heart wanted but you were still scared. Maybe it's time to give it a chance? But if you say yes and it doesn't work, there is no turning back.

You knew you made Heesung wait too long for your answer, but he wasn’t showing any kind of complaints. Just looking up in the sky and giving you your own space thinking about your decision.

Just then a star fell down from the sky and you knew it was a sign. A smile formed on your face and you turned your head towards Heeseung whose eyes were closed now, enjoying the chilly air blowing in his face.

"So I think I will give us a chance, but let’s try it for fourteen days. If we aren't working out then it’s not for us and we stay friends. Deal?" you said and smiled at him. Heeseung's eyes flew open at your answer. He turned his head toward you and opened his mouth. "Fourteen days, huh? So we can call today our first day, because i think this is a perfect evening for a beginning of something new" he said and giggles left your lips. Deep down you knew you both would work out and the next two weeks were going to be a rollercoaster

13. letting them warm their cold hands under your shirt

The sunlight was fading behind the trees, crickets starting to chirp nearby and the beginnings of stars flickering into the sky. The air had that specific sweetness that only comes with the fading of summer.

Wind rustled through the forest behind Steve’s backyard, whipping the scent of chlorine off the pool into the open kitchen window. You can almost hear the echoes of Dustin’s laughter ringing through the air and Max’s shrieks when Lucas splashed water at her. The crashes of water as someone jumped into the pool again, droplets lapping over the edge and onto the concrete. There’s no sign of life anymore, the kids having gone home almost an hour ago.

You find Steve in the kitchen after your shower, the chlorine and sunblock washed away. The shower had left your skin warm, all except for your hands.

Static crackles over the radio sitting on the counter, music carrying softly over the speakers. He’s hanging the phone up on the wall, a smile on his face when he sees you.

He looks at you for a minute, the same look of awe in his eyes he always has when he sees you. Your hair is wet and you’re wearing one of his shirts and a stolen pair of his boxers. He thinks you’re the prettiest thing he’s ever seen.

“Pizza should be here soon,” he says, leaning against the wall. His hair’s a little damp and messy in just the way you like and there’s a new spattering of freckles on his cheeks from the time in the sun this afternoon.

You step into his bubble, wrapping your arms around his waist. Your hands slip beneath the soft fabric of his shirt and he flinches when your cold fingers spread across his back.

“Jesus, baby,” he breathes out, lips pressing against your temple. “Your hands are freezing.”

“Sorry,” you mumble, a sheepish smile crossing your face. You don’t move your hands from where they rest against his back, instead your body sinks further into him. His skin is soft beneath your touch and most importantly, warm. You can feel the muscles of his back move and stretch as he wraps his arms around you.

His nose nudges against the side of your head. You smell like his shampoo, a lingering bit of chlorine but beneath it all is a scent that’s all you. There’s something so intimate about sharing something as simple as shampoo that has Steve grinning. You press your cheek against his chest, feeling the heat radiating through his shirt and into your skin. A small hum of content slips out of you.

“How are you so warm all the time?” your eyes are closed, relishing in the serenity of the moment.

“How are you so cold all the time?” he counters, pulling back from the hug a little to look at you. You blink your eyes open, turning your head to smile up at him.

“Because I have a human furnace for a boyfriend,” you joke, eyes crinkling when Steve lets out a laugh. One hand comes up to tuck a rogue piece of hair behind your ear, the tips of his fingers tickling the skin of your cheek. The other slips beneath his shirt you’re wearing, fingers almost burning when his hand splays against the small of your back.

The song changes over the radio, a softer melody that Steve seems to know. He hums along, his arms wrapping you up tightly to him. The two of you stay in a hug, your hands up the back of his shirt even as Steve slowly sways you side to side with the music.

You only step apart when the doorbell rings, Steve leaving you in the kitchen to grab the pizza. He lets you keep a hand up his shirt, palm against his back and fingers spread while you eat standing in front of the kitchen island. He wipes away a smear of pizza sauce you get on your chin with his thumb, using it as an excuse to kiss you.

And when you go to bed that night, he lets your hands slip underneath the back of his shirt to keep warm. He can’t even complain about your cold skin against him when he gets to have you pressed this close to him all night long.

Taking a look at the clock, he knew it would be bed time for their children, so he left the things he was working on and walked out of his office.

“Good night Frances.”

“Mr. Shelby I was going to offer you some coffee.”

“It’s alright, you can go have a rest now, I’m saying good night to the kids.”

“Tomorrow it’s a big day.” She grinned.

Sighing deeply, he grabbed the handrail. “It is Frances, you’ve everything set right?”

Frances nodded, she had been really helpful this time around, it was so hard to keep anything from Y/N, but they managed to do it. “The suit is ready Mr. Shelby, in the guest room as you asked.”

“And Y/N?”

“She still thinks you’re going to the Gala.”

Tommy nodded. He hadn’t been this nervous for ages, but at the same time this was the calmer he had ever been in his whole life.

“It’s just me, you don’t have to pretend you’re sleeping.” He chuckled as he caught Charlie and Ruby forcing their eyes shut, looking through their lashes, their eyelids trembling. “Oh, so you’re truly asleep, huh?” They refused to sleep in separate beds, let alone separate rooms. So, one day he just helped them put both beds next to the other one. “How about some tickles to wake you both up, ey?”

Ruby laughed uncontrollably, while Charlie’s giggles made his heart jump. Tommy loved that sound coming out of them.

“How did you know we were awake daddy?”

“Oh, that’s because I’m a gypsy and I can see through the doors.” He opened his eyes dramatically.

“Am I a gypsy too?” Ruby asked holding a soft doll under her chin.

“Course you are, silly.” Charlie replied.

Tommy pointed a finger at his son. “Hey, we don’t talk to our sisters that way.”

“I’m sorry Ruby.” He apologized immediately.

“It’s alright Charlie, I know I’m not silly, I’m smarty like mama.” She admitted proud of herself.

Tommy looked at her offended. “Hey, what about me?”

“You’re smart too daddy, but you don’t know how to tell night stories to sleep like mama does.”

“One day I’m going to tell you the story of a time when I went alone in a caravan and fought a big bear and a lion all by myself.”

“A lion?!” Her eyes were looking at him with adoration.

“And what happened?” Charlie asked, looking at his father in admiration.

“Your mama saved me.” He winked at them. “Now goodnight you two, we have a big party tomorrow.”

“But Mum said we can’t go.” Charlie complained.

“Of course, you two are the most important guests in that event.”

“Are you going to kiss mama to convince her?” Tommy saw his daughter rubbing on her eyes while she let a small yawn out.

One day when she almost caught them making out in his office he had to tell Ruby he was just kissing mama to convince her to take them to the park. Thankfully they were fully dressed, Y/N sitting on his lap as she was coming down from her high. Ruby was outside his office, she didn’t see anything, he was cautious enough to lock the door, but still she questioned why it was locked. He asked his daughter to look for Frances to prepare her favorite dessert and then he heard her steps fading away. Since then, they referred to their intimacy as that ‘he would be kissing Y/N to convince her of whatever they were talking about’.

“Where do you think you’re going?” Y/N watched Tommy stepping out of their children’s bedroom and he was heading downstairs.

Tommy stopped as he set one foot on the first step, he turned half his body to her.

“I thought we had an agreement, once you leave the office, you don’t go back.”

He didn’t remember such thing, but he knew better not to point that out.

“I think we still have some time before they come and crash our party.” She pointed biting her lower lip. And to be honest, he was weak, when it came to Y/N he didn’t have self-control. “Yeah, I have to convince you -Ruby’s words- of letting them come to the Gala.” “But-” Y/N began to say, but Tommy placed his index finger gently on her lips, then his mouth replaced his finger. “Can you put a little resistance this time? Cos you get distracted so easily.” He murmured against the skin of her neck. “What do you want me to say? ‘Yes Mr. Shelby, you can bring the kids to the Gala.’?” “Okay, I’ll let them know in the morning.” She completely fell into his trap. “That’s not fair, you cheated.” She shoved him playfully in the arm as he walked her to their bed. “Can’t believe you still fall for that old trick.” He chuckled.

He always did that, Tommy made Y/N tell him out loud exactly what he wanted then he ‘didn’t have another choice but agree to what she just said’ so she basically just gave Tommy free pass to do what he wanted.

Tommy heard the door of his room being open. In the past, he would’ve taken out his gun from under his pillow… not anymore. He felt the sheets being pulled, so he let it loose a little.

“They’re asleep.” Ruby told Charlie in a failed attempt of whisper.

Then a warm little finger pulled one of his eyelids up. He pretended to be sleeping, her little face studying his eyes for any sign that he could be awake, until a few seconds later, Tommy took her by surprise and tickled her ribs, Ruby screamed and laughed loud at the same time.

Tommy looked at his children, the day he decided to get a bigger bed was one of the best decisions he had ever made. They ended up sleeping together most of the nights anyways.

Looking at his left, he found Y/N looking at him while caressing Charlie’s hair, he smiled at the sight in front of his eyes. ‘I love you’ she mouthed at him. Ruby sighed against his chest. ‘I love you too’ he mouthed back at her.

No, Y/N was the best decision he had ever made. Taking a chance to talk to her at the fair when he saw her for the first time seven years ago and changed his life forever. They were together for a year when Y/N learned she was pregnant, with the craziness of the Derby and the exportation license granted by Mr. Churchill and the usual chaos in the family, they found themselves moving to Arrow House right after Charlie was born, a couple of months later, they were blessed again with a new pregnancy, this time it was Ruby’s turn to be part of the Shelby family. In the process, they never got married. Now with their -unofficial- anniversary the following day, he had the perfect excuse to ask Y/N to finally marry him. Her hand squeezed his arm in a gently touch, bringing him out of his daydream. She had no idea of what he was about to do, and he had to fight the urge to give her the ring right there.

When Y/N blew him a kiss, he winked at her, wishing each other goodnight. Sometimes it was hard to deal with all the things he had to do, but in the end of the day, all he wanted to do was arrive home and see his family. Leaving outside everything else, inside those walls, he wasn’t a gangster anymore, he was just a man who loved his family to death, he would do anything for them.

*** Waking up before his kids, Tommy went to the kitchen to ask the maids to make breakfast for his family, then walking upstairs again, without waking them up he stayed for a few seconds staring at them, his favorite trio curled up in bed together. Life was good, he had more than he ever imagined or what he thought he deserved. Charlie opened his eyes and looked at him, Tommy made him a sign to keep quiet and go back to sleep while he took a shower.

Hurrying up worried they would wake up, he made his way downstairs again and lighting a cigarette, he balanced the tray in his hands. Before he opened the door, he could hear them whispering and giggling, his heart was full. Cyril walked in next to him. “Don’t leave me out of the plans of the Revolution, eh.” “Tommy, what’s all of this?” Y/N asked, straightening against the headboard. “What’s a Revolution dad?” Charlie demanded. Looking at Y/N, Tommy scratched behind his head. “It’s hmm when the people go against the government son.” “Are you going against the gobinet, daddy?” Tommy chuckled. “No, I was only joking.” He placed the tray on Y/N’s legs. “I was telling them about the day we met.” Y/N smiled at him. “You took mama for a ride with Storm, dad?” Charlie’s face light up, thinking of his horse. Tommy took one mug in his hand, covering the top. “No, it was another horse, she was beautiful.” He admitted to distract her for a little bit, Charlie helped him move the tray away from her. The kids knew he had a surprise for their mama, but he didn’t say what it was, in case they accidentally ruined it. “Who? Me or the horse?” Y/N joked grinning at Tommy. But then she frowned when she didn’t see coffee inside her cup. Instead, she found a red box. Tommy took the box from inside the cup and cleared his throat. “Y/N, when I saw you seven, well, today eight years ago at the fair, I knew I wanted you in my life forever. You’ve been with me through everything, the good, the bad and the worst, and you haven’t complained once, you’ve given me the greatest gift a man could have; a family, a place to call home. But we never got the chance to do one thing…” Opening the box, he got down on one knee next to her. “Will you share with me this life for as long as we get with our beautiful children until we take our last breath? Will you marry me?” Charlie and Ruby cheered for them, they started jumping on the bed -something forbidden by their mum, but now she was busy with tears in her eyes-. “You’re supposed to say yes or something.” Tommy joked nervously when he didn’t get an answer. “Mummy say yes!” Ruby demanded. Time was running so slowly. “Yes, of course, yes!” Y/N managed to say between the sobs and tears. Taking the ring from the box, Tommy asked for her hand to place the delicate aquamarine cocktail ring held by a gold band in her finger, two diamonds guarding the main gem. Emotions running through her, it took her a few seconds to get up from the bed to hug Tommy tight against her body. Kissing him deeply, her happiness was palpable.

“Tommy I’d marry you in this life and any other.” She almost knocked her soon-husband-to-be.

“Now you two, help your old man up.” He joked pointed at Charlie and Ruby.

Charlie grinned. “Dad you’re not old.”

“But he’s got grey hai-” Y/N covered Ruby’s mouth with her hand.

“I heard that.” Tommy straightened his clothes. “Go to your room, Frances will help you get ready.”

“When did you get this? It’s perfect.” Y/N showered his face with kisses.

“My last London trip. Do you like it?” He kissed her again. It was her favorite stone.

“You always think of everything.” Caressing his cheek, she could hear the children talking to Frances. “How did you know my size?”

Tommy chuckled. “Oh! Thanks to my gypsies’ roots, I stole one of your rings, the one with the Ruby I gave you after she was born, and asked them to match the size, then I put it back into your jewelry box.” He admitted proudly.

“But you told me I threw it out of window when I got drunk.”

“And you actually believed that?” Tommy arched his eyebrow. “You should’ve known me better than that, Y/N.”

“So, you didn’t go out to look for it outside?” She asked in disbelief. He had told her that he found it a week later.

Tommy tilted his head and a smirk appeared in his lips.

“Oh, of course you didn’t.” Her brain was thinking hard. “So when you to-”

“No, you didn’t do that either. Now keep moving, I have a surprise for you.” Balancing the cigarette between his lips, he covered her eyes.

“How am I supposed to trust you when you just told me you stole my ring?”

Tommy rolled his eyes. “Guess you don’t have a lot of choices now, do you?” Stopping at the top of the stairs, he saw Charlie and Ruby smiling at them.

“Mama come!” Charlie beamed. They were both holding a piece of paper each.

“What are you doing?” Y/N whispered to the man who had given her the greatest joys of her life.

“Daddy wrote it, but I drew the flowers.” Ruby explained presenting her paper, it wasn’t a regular sheet, it had fancy calligraphy.

“And I helped with the poem.” Charlie announced handing his Mum a bouquet of flowers.

Holding it between trembling fingers, Y/N read:

To give you the best of myself

I promise to give you the best of myself and to ask of you no more than you can give. I promise to accept you the way you are. I fell in love with you for the qualities, abilities, and outlook on life that you have, and won’t try reshape you in a different image. I promise to respect you as a person with your own interests, desires and needs, and to realize that those are sometimes different, but no less important than my own. I promise to keep myself open to you, to let you see through the window of my personal world into my innermost fears and feelings, secrets and dreams. I promise to grow along with you, to be willing to face change as we both change in order to keep our relationship alive and exciting. And finally, I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all I feel inside in the only way I know how… completely and forever.

She remembered some of those words, It was what he told her when they started dating, adapting them now to the years and battles they faced together. Emotions were running through her uncontrollably, the tears making it hard to keep reading.

“You’re missing the other one Mummy.” Charlie pointed out. Tommy placed a hand on each children.

Look around us, look at what we’ve got and I’m not talking about the material things, look at our children, take a good look of the road we have walked together, it hasn’t been easy, it never will… but one thing has been consistent all this time; you and me.

Sometimes it was the races, other times it was the baby, then the feeding or the crying, or an argument, another business, later it was another baby on the way, or my work… but something has always been on the way.

What about now?

That’s why I’m asking you to marry me tonight. 6 o’clock. Our garden. Ps. I have everything ready.

“Tonight?!” She was scandalized by his proposal.

“You can’t control everything around you.” Tommy chuckled.

Tommy then handed Y/N a small envelope.

Opening the wax seal, she found the invitation to her own wedding. That was a lot of information to take in, so many things happening at the same time.

“Look who’s saying that?” Y/N pointed out. “But the guests…”

“Absolutely everything is set, you just have to go and get ready and come back to be my wife.” Tommy pressed his lips gently on Y/N’s.

“And the food?”

Tommy groaned. Cupping her face in his hands, he arched his eyebrows. “Everything is ready. I don’t want you to worry about anything.”

A million thoughts filled her mind… the flowers, her attire, her children’s clothes, the tables.

Tommy’s smirk didn’t make her worries go away, on the contrary, it made her feel more scared.

“I ordered your favorite food and cake, a big tent for the garden, lilac flowers, your favorites.”

“When did you prepare all of this?”

“Frances did most of the hard work, and I’ve had a couple of long nights.” Tommy rubbed her arms, trying to get her out of her shocked state.

That’s when she noticed that a couple of people walked through the room carrying a big table, another one was walking while holding a large vase and two maids following with table cloth.

“Your dresses are in one of the guest’s rooms Mrs. Shelby.”

“Well, it looks like I will be one after tonight.” She chuckled. “Did you say dresses?!”

“Mr. Shelby couldn’t choose a dress for you, so he ordered a couple thinking you might like one.” Frances admitted.

Y/N spun around to look at her soon to be husband. There he was with a big smirk on his face, the smile lighting his beautiful eyes.

When it came to make his family happy, he had no limitations.

“Look what I found for Cyril.” He pointed his head in his son’s direction. Charlie was walking towards them with a white box.

Opening the box, Y/N found a small tux and bow.

And with that, Y/N had enough. She threw herself at Tommy’s eyes exuding happiness through every pore of her skin. “I think it would be a good time to share some news then.” Tommy gave her a cautious look. “Polly did you know, the thing with the leaves… she says I’m pregnant, with twins!” Tommy couldn’t hold his excitement then, spinning her around holding her by the waist, he kissed her. “Did she tell you what the babies are?” Y/N nodded. “Two girls.” Tommy let out the air he was holding. “Then it’s my turn to choose the names, since you chose Charlie and Ruby…” Smiling at him, Y/N asked him about the names. He couldn’t be happier. “I want to name them Anna and Lee-Anne.”

tim is an expert clothes thief. kon is more laid-back about his acts of theft but they do happen. what this means is that sometimes kon will steal a shirt tim stole from dick who stole it from donna, and everyone involved just has to live with that.

tim has yet to successfully teach kon to skateboard without any ttk involved. kon isn't convinced it's physically possible. he has, however, discovered that he loves roller skates!

(yes, this means they do have skate park dates.)

one time kon, half asleep, smiled dreamily at tim and, trying to compliment his eyelashes, told him adoringly "you look like a cow."

it took tim a minute, but he got the gist and did in fact blush really hard about it.

bart, texting cissie: "kon just told tim he looks like a cow and tim is blushing about it. whats wrong with them"

they start dating without realizing they're dating. everyone else can see it very clearly. they are the last to figure this out bc they just melt into it so hard (when you already have a STRONG bond built on deep devotion and trust, etc, what's a little thing like sharing clothes and a bed? and being extra physically affectionate? it's nothing major!)

they are not the first queer relationship either of them has. tim dates someone else, kon has a passionate makeout with simon valentine at senior prom that turns into a summer fling, tim is NOT jealous, it's just that as kon's bff he thinks kon can do and deserves better ok. and its NOT a whole Thing™ that later on he's smug about simon posting sad breakup song lyrics on instagram. its literally normal theres nothing going on here

one time tim gets a superboy merch jacket styled after kon's leather jacket thinking aw im being supportive and wearing his merch <3. and kon is so offended bc YOU CAN LITERALLY WEAR THE REAL THING ROB. I HAVE BACKUPS. TAKE THAT SHIT OFF PUT MY ACTUAL JACKET ON RIGHT NOW--

they eventually have two apartments, one in metropolis, one in gotham. this is bc you can't permanently take tim out of gotham, but kon would be miserable if he moved there permanently, too. they alternate places.

kon is a morning person; tim is a night owl. kon likes to dote and make tim breakfast every morning; if tim doesnt give him his good night hugs and kissies before he goes to bed he'll pout and also cry. that's a threat tim!!!! he'll cry, do you hear him!!!

kon has a spare collapsible bo staff + a couple batarangs in his gay little thigh pouch. for tim. <3
