“Speak quickly,” Solomon commands from his throne; you sit beside him on your own throne, your hands intertwined, “I have many matters to attend to today.”
Solomon had become King hundreds of years ago. He was once a Mage with limitless power and brought the land out of great misfortune and danger, so naturally the people begged him to be their leader and he agreed. Being immortal, his people came and went as he remained alive and alone, until he met you. The only woman who had managed to capture his heart; the only woman he had taken as his Queen. The only Queen he’d ever have, you were the love of his life, and his people were very much aware of that.
Several Lords of different Domains within Solomon’s Kingdom had come for their weekly council meeting, informing King Solomon of any issues within their lands that were beyond their own control to solve.
“Yes my King, the people of my Domain have been complaining of scarce resources. We’re not getting enough revenue to keep our villages thriving,” One of the Lords states, looking nervous.
You knew him for his insatiable greed towards his people. The Lord of a land who was surrounded by laveshes yet his own people were struggling to make ends meet. You look at your husband with a raised eyebrow before clearing your throat to speak to the foolish Lord before you. Solomon glances at you with amusement, loving the way you took control of these council meetings whenever you had a solution.
“Allow me to bring light to this unfortunate situation, Lord Belin. I believe your peo-” you begin yet, the Lord brazenly interrupts you.
“Your highness, I was addressing the King, not you. This is a matter for the Great King and Mage himself to handle, not his mere wife.” The man utters with faux respect, letting some malice slip through his lips, not even sparing you a second glance.
You feel Solomon's grip on your hand tighten at the Lord’s harsh words before he stands from his throne, a harsh glare on his face directed at Lord Belin.
“You dare speak harshly to my wife who took the effort to think up a solution for your people, you greedy Lord? Shall you have it my way, I’d drop your title as Lord and send another in to replace you. Or would you rather hear out my beautiful Queen’s words instead?” He seethes, sparks of magic radiating off of him, a sign that he was losing his patience.
You softly reach out for his hand once more, urging him to calm down and take a seat.
Though his words reach Lord Belin as the man is now bowed before you, begging for mercy and for you to continue to help him. You smile at the man, much to Solomon’s dismay as you continue where you left off before.
“Please rise, Lord Belin, it’s quite alright.” you begin, tapping your fingertips on your throne as Solomon's warm hand engulfs your other free hand. “As I was saying, I think it would be profitable for your people to make great goods off the resources that your land thrives in. Winter is a mere few months away and my sources tell me it will be a harsh one. Is your land not full of men and women who are crafty with their hands? It’s the perfect opportunity to use your farms as resources to create winter clothing for all under our Kingdom to come to your land and purchase them. What do you think?”
Solomon watches you with pride, it was a fool-proof solution aside from having Lord Belin himself share a fraction of his wealth with his people.
“Yes my Queen, that is a perfect solution. Thank you for your kindness,” Lord Belin bows again, grateful that he didn’t lose his title after his rudeness before.
“I take it you can use your own wealth to fund your people, yes?” Solomon steps in to ask, anger still in his eyes, almost daring Lord Belin to ask him for anything further, let alone money.
“Of course my King. I’m more than capable of getting things up and running for my Domain, thank you for hearing me out.” He bows again, trembling in fear.
“Very well, council is over,” he addresses the other Vassals in the room with a sigh, “You may all return next week with your concerns. I have other matters to attend to now. You’re all dismissed.” He waves them off and they all scurry out of the room, leaving you alone with your husband.
“Now then,” he rises, scooping you up in his arms and carrying you out of the throne room, “To spend the rest of the day with my beautiful wife.”
He leans into your neck, peppering kisses to your skin, humming contently at finally being alone with you.
“I thought you had other matters to attend to?” You shriek, trying to get him to put you down, but he refuses.
“You are my other matters, dear. I’m all yours for the rest of the day,” he smirks, continuing to carry you to your shared chambers. Knowing he was immortal and you weren’t (though perhaps he had plans to change that one day, shall you agree to it) he was set on spending any free time he had with you as often as he could. After all, you were the only woman who managed to tame the heart of this great powerful mage. He was utterly and completely wrapped around your fingers.
“Well I suppose I can’t complain about that,” you smile, pressing a kiss to his lips; you were equally as obsessed with him as he was with you. And together, you blissfully spent the rest of the evening wrapped in each other's arms.

It was the longest elevator ride of his life.
Though, at least for Leon, he was given a grand view as opposed to being locked in the dingy darkness that reeked of blood and torture.
His eyes--ever in their cool blue hue--shifted from the glass panel that glimpsed out towards New York City to you.
And what a gorgeous sight to behold.
After all, you were royalty, so of course you carried an air of lavish wealth and prestige--the stylish clothes you wore, your choice in fragrance, down to the way you spoke and held your cutlery during meals.
From rescuing the daughter of the President to guarding a queen to be--he wondered just exactly when his life became that of a secret agent in a romcom, as he would snort to himself.
Yet perhaps fiction was appropriate for this situation.
You were royalty, so it was to be expected that you would be rather out of touch with the world. Though, instead of finding that to be annoying, he couldn’t help but find it charming, cute almost.
Despite your status, you were gracious and kind, ever happy to help others, whether it was cheekily leaving a sizeable donation check to a local school on the way to a gala, to fussing over his own well-being after realizing he was up all night on security detail. If you lifted your hand to the sky, he wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if hummingbirds and butterflies fluttered down in greeting--you were truly straight out of a fairy tale.
And out of his fantasies too, it felt like.
Your looks so gorgeous like that of a masterpiece in the Louvre, your voice so captivating whenever you indulged him on stories growing up in a palace, your hands so soft whenever they would inspect his, and most of all--your heart, so pure of all.
You were meant to be his mission first--overseeing your evacuation out of the country before an encroaching war broke out as per the terms of an imminent alliance treaty between your nation and the U.S., protecting you all the way over until you could reunite with your family in New York City.
It didn’t take too long for him to grow attached. After all, with the likes of Ada and Ashley--they all left as quickly as they arrived. The former to the opposing side (whichever one she fancied at the time), the latter to a life of peace that any college girl ought to enjoy.
And the thought of watching you leave, of saying goodbye with no assurance to be together again--he couldn’t bear the idea of being left alone again, even if it was the life that he was meant to live.
A sense of sickening betrayal was brewing within his heart the moment that thought came to mind.
What if he simply refused to hand you over?
You let out a yawn, a precious sound that stirred him from the dark depths of his thoughts.
His attention turned back towards the floor indicator, watching as the number dwindled closer to the bottom.
In a matter of moments, he would bring you to the car manned by Secret Service that would escort you to the undisclosed hotel where your family were currently residing in.
Leon’s eyes focused on you once more.
Catching his gaze, you smiled at him sweetly before playfully whining how you couldn’t wait to get to bed.
Temptation.
He wondered if Krauser felt any hesitance when he abducted Ashley.
A silly, meaningless question that he knew the answer to. Krauser had his own desire for power as motivation.
He just had his desire for you.
The elevator continued its descent down.
And so did Leon.
His palm slammed against the emergency stop, all while he readied his other arm to catch you for when you were jostled forward with a yelp.
As you uttered his name in confusion, your body stiffened as you were suddenly taken into his arms, his embrace tight and unyielding.
“Sorry...” he began, his tone quiet at first.
But as he basked in the scent of perfume and the gentle warmth of your body heat, he knew there was no way back from this. “I just remembered I’ve got a quicker way in mind to get you where you need to be.”
Through another floor, the ceiling of the elevator--he was taking you back with him.
After all, what was a princess without a knight risking everything in her honor?

Forgive me if you’ve already answered smthn like this, idk what keywords to search for but why kill Firestar during Po3 instead of OoTS?
I don’t mind the choice, just asking bc Firestar is my blorbo and I love him
I'm sure I mentioned it at some point but there's a BIG reason;
Better Bones is a story about the importance of radical change and how Firestar himself cut through the culture to bring this. In PO3, now an episodic arc of general peace, we see exactly how his new mindset is beneficial to everyone, and how that involves challenging the code, StarClan, and social norms.
And a good leader is bad for conflict.
He NEVER would have made Thornclaw deputy. Attacking ShadowClan via false sign wouldn't happen in BB because I refuse to have ShadowClan be EvilClan OR have Firestar nonsensically listen to a StarClan command he thinks is wrong. BB!Firestar would have been shocked and offended that his deputy Brambleclaw is unable to BE CIVIL with Squirrelflight, especially in this world with the concept of Queen’s Rights.
I find OOTS and PO3 kind of frustrating because Firestar has to lose the little punk twink personality he has in TPB and Firestar's Quest in order for the plot to happen, OR he has to be arbitrarily kept out of problems so he doesn't fix them.
The Erins have an egregious problem as writers, unironically their biggest weakness; they can't kill their darlings.
Characters are storytelling tools, but the Erins CLING to their favorites and won't kill them off, shame them, or let them be disliked in-universe if it would be mean to their precious babies. And it SUCKS. It makes characters who could be interesting, like Bramblestar, Firestar, Graystripe, Gray Wing, annoying because the writing is BENDING OVER BACKWARDS so they can be beloved
So Firestar's gotta go! Assassinated by the Dark Forest to ACTUALLY let them be a threat during the arc, and accomplish real nefarious deeds.
The story works much better for the arrogant, emotional Bramblestar to be in power at this time. With Thornclaw as his deputy, he will rule in the way he believes is his own.
Firestar gets to come back for the final battle though, of course! I can't cut something that cool.

(just putting my whole s4 reaction here. it kind of turned into a live reaction after ep6)
Tdp s4ep2: Viren's no good very bad terrible day
Idk how to feel about the petrichor farts but the trans colored plant was great. a transplant. im not above a trans pun. Viren wheezing, panting, fighting for his life up that mountain is killing me
Ep3: that whole segment with Ezran's speech, the fight between Ibis and Claudia just. ouch. and god Terry. I really love the way they showed him mourn. the music (and Corvus) was beautiful. like is there ANYTHING Corvus can't do btw?? that man is amazing. the brewing danger between elves and humans is painful, but what i was lowkey kind of hoping for. putting aside centuries (maybe longer? cant remember) of prejudice between both sides just doesnt work on the first go. i feel like the way the human's reception of the dragon queen went so bumpy was also a good indication of how things go wrong. a series of misunderstandings cultivating an untrusting atmosphere that blows up when something really bad happens. Ezran acknowledging that humans have been hurt was great.
(i have suspicions that human-elven relations are going to get worse before they get better tho)
ep4: smth about aaravos this season is itching my brain wrong. he opened his mouth and my brain just went "nah we don't like this" checking my forehead like DO U HAVE A FEVER WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU? ITS AARAVOS-
ep5: im with viren on this one. no one deserves a name like sparklepuff. SIR Sparklepuff is at least a bit dignified. it'll be funny if Viren only refers to him as 'Sir'. im so glad Zubeia is the way she is. yes yell and force the doorguards to let you in, queen behavior.

i have SO MANY trinity trio Feelings!!! (possibly because donald and goofy absolutely carried me through kh1 but i digress) honestly i'm SO glad kingdom hearts lets its main disney characters be... well, interesting? when i first got into the series i thought they'd be bland but they have flaws! they have character arcs! donald and goofy go from reluctant companions to sora's big brother figures, donald especially in kh1, and their appearances in the country of musketeers contrasting their present day personalities is such a nice touch. (shout out to minnie going from being helpless even without being restrained or imprisoned, to blasting pete in the face with magic the second he's distracted by lea)
i also like that they do end up hurting sora even after kh1, noticeable in kh3 especially. obviously they don't mean it, they're genuinely just teasing him, or trying to cheer him up... but sora's hurt by it anyways, although they don't notice, and he doesn't say anything... it's the miscommunication for me. idk "sometimes we hurt people we care about without meaning to" is an important message imo. id love for them to address this in the future considering they showed us sora's breakdown in kh3
dude you're so right though !! i'm super happy that the disney cast feels as important as the KH cast but not overly so- like while they're supporting roles, you can't look over their importance and they're just as enjoyable to watch as the rest of the characters
