I did something I never do and completely binged a TV season last night. It was Power Rangers: Cosmic Fury, it may well be the final season of the series (at least as we know it), and it was an awesome send-off. Much like Power Rangers RPM, the franchise goes its hardest when it's on the brink of cancellation. Spoilers can be found below the "Keep Reading".

Whiny bastards Some Fans labelled the series "woke" because of the female Red Ranger. Others for the lesbian power couple that is the Green and Orange Cosmic Fury Rangers. But boy, are they gonna be pissed about the villain.

The real villain of Cosmic Fury is capitalism. No, really, it's stated pretty unambiguously. The corporate CEO villain is eviler than Lord Zedd, the goddamn Emperor of Evil. Bajillia Naire, CEO of Squid Ink Inc., frees Lord Zedd from his imprisonment specifically to trick his ass into capturing the Morphing Masters and absorbing their powers. She then traps him in a tube that she plans to blow up and create an evil energy wave that will wipe out good in the universe.

Her reason for that? In a universe ruled by evil, there will be constant war and her weapons business will do really well. It will also remove worker protections (which she says, in those words), allowing her to further exploit her already exploited workforce. At one point, the Blue Ranger (brainwashed and evil) remarks:

"Nice? That doesn't sound like CEO behavior."

It's fucking wild.

Did we all just decide not to notice that for 28 episodes absolutely nobody from the Pai Zhua even CONSIDERS rescuing Jarrod is an option? Jarrod won the tournament with Theo and Lily in episode 1, he’s one of the top 3 students and absolutely nobody, not Mao, not RJ, none of the other masters, none of the rangers (until Casey does TWO episodes before the finale) considers rescuing Jarrod and depriving Dai Shi of the human vessel it is using to get stronger.

Imagine Dai Shi leaving Jarrod and possessing Camille (or Fran?!)

I've recently just finished watching season 1 of Beast Morphers and tbh I liked it way more the second time around. Just wanted to do a fun redesign of how I would style Robo Roxy for both seasons

I was never a huge fan of any of the characters until it was a focus episode. I felt neutral for most of the characters...except Robo Roxy and Steel (those two oozed charisma) And I really like Commander Shaw too. I'm glad she isn't the archetype of hardass leader that never listens to anyone/anything. She isn't afraid to admit fault, has her team's back and a great leader.

Also, Ravi really grew on me the second time around. We won't talk about the episode where he has a fight with his girlfriend then takes it out on her avatar 😬

I was thinking about Casey's fear in "Ghost of a chance". While there is a closet involved, Casey is not afraid of the closet or of exiting the closet.

He is afraid of the voice angrily calling his name while the door rattles. He is afraid of someone calling his name and trying to forcefully open a door to reach him.

What if he had an abusive father and this is how his childhood brain interpreted the fear of being hurt by his father? What if his child brain invented a monster that angrily calls his name and tries to force its entrance into his room as an interpretation of a violent and abusive parent?

And when he opens the door he really is opening the door to this menacing father who now has no power over him?
