Hi, Hey there!

I've had this blog up for a few weeks so I figured I'd introduce myself. Not gonna reveal my actual name for security reasons but just call me Kosmic.

I currently live in the USA (Unfortunately). I'm genderfluid and really don't care what pronouns I am referred to with as long as they're not it/it's. I'm also an aspiring writer but for now I mostly just write fanfiction. Mostly Saint Seiya related obviously though I've been working on other stuff.

ZIO final thoughts.

You know… as a viewer i have never thought how much power a producer have in a series, till i watched Zio. Of course… i don’t know if really was like that. I don’t know and probably will never know but it just felt like that, at least for me. Im not saying that i didn’t enjoy the cameos and the fanservice in ZIO but it felt unfair to the characters most of the time. Decade case was diferent because the story was around Tsukasa, this time the story was around the riders. Sougo story was an excuse and that’s sad. Sad because the casting was good, the characters was good but they just couldnt tell their story.

KAMEN RIDER X FGO COLLAB

Spoilers for Kamen Rider ZIO

For a Japanese gacha game that focuses on heroic spirits. It would be a no brainer to make a COLLAB with Japan's most recent and famous heroes known as the Kaman Riders. Kamen Rider has done similar COLLAB in the past such as Puzzle and Dragon where you could summon your favorite RIDER. This COLLAB would be similar and have a Lostbelt or Singularity to explain why we can summon them. In my mind seeing as how much Kamen Rider has ingrained itself in the minds of Japan and around the world they would be recognized as symbols of justice in the throne of heroes. You could only summon the main rider of each series as they would have the most impact in the minds of people.

So here's how I would think the Singularity/Lostbelt would go.

Sougo after turining into OMA ZIO and defeating Another Decade and realizing through his clairvoyance that Pan Human history will be destroyed and that he will be destined to be the Demon King decides to create a world in which all Riders essentially got the best ending that they could hope for along with creating a world where everyone would not die due to the Alien gods or Goetia. Sougo either uses his own powers or a holy grail to change the world. This not only cements Sougo as the kindest demon lord but saves the history of Kamen Rider and all other humans. This Singularity/Lostbelt will be called "The Utopia of Justice and Peace: Rider World." As the creator pf this world Sougo is obviously the King and who Chaldea will eventually need to beat in order to destroy the Singularity/Lostbelt. As bastions of peace and justice in this world, the main Kamen Riders will protect at all cost this new world in which they find themselves in as it truly is the idealized world that they fought for in their original timelines. For battling the Kamen Riders, of course break bars will used and each time you break one bar, the Kamen Rider you are fighting will go into an upgraded form that will make the fight harder, starting from base and ending in final form. Now even though I wrote down that this is Rider world, most will not be strictly in the Rider class which will be the twist for the Gudas to overcome and so that you can't just bring assassins to very fight.

For the riders in this event, they will be the main rider from each series in the heisei era as it would take too long to list all Riders from all eras. If there is a Challenge quest then it will be the first Rider of the Reiwa era, Zero One, who will claim to protect all the smiles in this new world before kicking your teeth in. He will be Rider Class.

* Seeing as how I have not seen some of the other series, you guys can help fill in their classes ot think of better classes.

In the climax of the Singularity/ Lostbelt, you fight Sougo in his Ruler class which has him using Grand Zio as his final form which allows him to infinitely summon other riders into battle even after you beat them. Once you defeat Sougo he will realize that once again he will not be able to win and become the kindest king again so he transforms into Oma Zio which changes his class to Beast of Humanity specifically the Beast of Reminiscence. Beast 5. He loves humanity and still hold the idea of being the kindest and greatest king but he is still a monster or demon in his case. He will give anything in order to protect this Utopia and the stories of other riders. He is the Beast of Reminisce as he is meta physically the culmination of all Riders and their powers combined hence he is reminiscent of all other riders before him in ideals and strength. His noble phantoms Ohma Zi-O Hissatsu Geki essentially erases you from existence as it did with Another Decade. This would essentially create another Data Lost scenario if you got hit by it so sending this the Throne of Heroes summons the Grand Rider in order to deal with this "King of Riders" which would be Noah considering his Arc would be the only thing that could protect you from OMA ZIOs godly kick as it once protected from an act of God as well. Then you defeat OMA ZIO with the power of Noah and go whale for OMA ZIO in the Cache who will now be an Avenger.

Do you have headcanons of Woz meeting other Heisei Riders post-zio?

Actually, I imagine he’d try to avoid them--he probably feels a little weird about running into them after having devoted so much time to helping Sougo take their powers away and thus nearly ending the dang world. Granted, if he’s spending time with the others he certainly will meet other Heisei Riders, since Sougo and Geiz and Tsukuyomi apparently exert the same kind of magnetism to them that Stand Users do to each other. But I feel like he’d be surprisingly shy about it without a king to constantly announce.

Zi-O rewrite time! An attempt at retaining a lot of the main elements while improving the general enjoyability.

First of all, we need to change the age at which Sougo is first approached by Swartz. By 10 kids have pretty solidly already developed their own opinions and ideas about stuff. If some stranger had come up to me at age 10 and told me I was destined to be [something I’d never cared about before] I would’ve been like uh, what? No. :/

So he’s 5 or 6 when he first meets this weird guy who tells him about the concept of kings, about how they help people, tells him he sees the skill for it in him, even gifts him a little picture book about a heroic fairytale king which years later Sougo still cherishes. This guy continues to appear intermittently in the years leading up to the bus crash to really lay it on thick with this king stuff.

The other important basic change is that rather than being considered an amusing quirky oddity by his classmates, Sougo is genuinely ignored/shunned by them for his obsession with being a king. (And in flashbacks to when he was little, outright bullied.)

Thus we can see from the very start Sougo’s potential path to becoming an evil overlord. He truly wants to protect people and do good in the world, has been influenced to believe ‘ruling’ is the best way to do so, but his future subjects reject him harshly at every turn. And it’s obvious that anytime soon his goofiness and cheerful optimism could finally run out.

The attitude from his peers makes his lack of friends and his loneliness much more obvious from the getgo, and so you feel far more deeply for him as he tries to make things work with Geiz & Tsukuyomi.

And as he spends time genuinely, like, talking and connecting with the past riders he meets. He has at least one heart-to-heart moment with most of them. Sento tells him about how easy it is for the best intentions to have terrible results. Takumi tells him about how alone and afraid of himself he was until he met the right people. Eiji tells him about how important it is to want things, but how wanting too much can be dangerous. And tells the story of the OOO who came before him.

And so about halfway through the show, Sougo begins to wonder. Is it really ‘subjects’ he wants? Or just friends? Is a king a good thing to be? Did he ever choose ‘king’ as his dream? Or was it forcibly imprinted on him? 

These doubts continue... until Geiz and Tsukuyomi begin to literally fade around the edges. Sougo questioning his own dream is on the verge of erasing Oma Zio from ever existing, and thus erasing the events that led to them traveling back in time. (Woz is not affected due to being some kind of time anomaly.)

Woz offers Sougo a special powerup. “If you accept this, you will return to your correct path as Waga Maou. The timeline will be reestablished, and Geiz and Tsukuyomi will remain here in this time.” Sougo finds himself tempted to accept, but not because he wants the power. It’s because he wants his friends to stay. But he remembers all the wisdom imparted to him by his senpai riders up to this point, thinks about what friendship really means, and he declines Woz’s offer.

Before Geiz and Tsukuyomi vanish & return to their own time Sougo asks them to please try and remember him, and they promise they will.

Now we get into a stretch of episodes where the narratives are jumping back and forth between present day, where Sougo is trying to be happy with only Woz for company, and 2068 - a different 2068 that is mostly peaceful. Geiz and Tsuku are normal teenagers (Geiz’s mysterious dead loved one is alive and we get to know them, even) living happy lives, but feel as if something is wrong. There was a war, wasn’t there? They’d been fighting. They look at their friend group and feel disconnected from them. They think that someone is missing.

In present day, Swartz puts his plan B into motion. He can no longer bank on this king nonsense to string Sougo along, and so, perhaps by using a disguised hat Woz, they manage to convince Sougo that by collecting the remaining ridewatches he will gain the ability to time travel and will be able to see his friends again whenever he wants. Either way, it’s not as if Sougo can ignore Another Riders.

Meanwhile, Geiz & Tsuku are beginning to remember bits and pieces. But as they do, Another Riders begin to slip into their time period via the cracks in the timeline created by their conflicting memories. These Another Riders are all based on future riders (or maybe uh. ‘in between riders’ in this case), and Geiz & Tsuku have to seek out each of the originals in order to get their watches. (Worth noting that this is the point in the show in which Geiz regains his rider power and Tsuku gains hers.) 

With each watch they acquire they remember more of Sougo. It’s implied that all of these ‘future riders’ have met Sougo at some point & think fondly of him, though these meetings are still far in 19 y/o Sougo’s future.

Having remembered him fully, they use sweet 2068 tech to contact him across time (an emotional moment for all 3) and Tsukuyomi, having also managed to recall her true place of origin and her connection to Swartz, warns Sougo that he’s probably the one behind it all.

Basically what this all leads to is Swartz getting his shit wrecked concurrently in two separate time periods (think the best parts of Kiva), Sougo & Woz on one team and Geiz & Tsuku on the other as the scene switches back and forth and splitscreens at all the most important moments. And it’s truly an epic high of tokusatsu television shows.

They come close to landing the final blow, when suddenly - Sougo finds himself in that black void facing down Oma Zio. “A timeline may become a ghost, as mine has,” he says, “but the possibility can still linger. You could still become me, right now, if you wished it.” He holds out his driver. “Restore me. Us. Our glory.”

Again Sougo remembers everything taught to him by the past riders, and he tells him no. That the sort of power offered isn’t the kind anyone should have. That it was a dream given to him by someone with terrible intentions, and he doesn’t want it or need it to keep himself going anymore.

Oma Zi-o appreciates when he’s been bested. He offers to use the last of his strength to grant any wish that Sougo has. Sougo considers wishing for Geiz and Tsuku to come back and stay in 2019 with him. But instead he smiles sadly and says “I wish for my friends to be happy, whatever that means for them.”

He returns to reality to finish his rider kick and end the final fight.

Sougo wakes up in his bedroom the next morning feeling lost. Picks up that old picturebook of the fairytale king and flips through it aimlessly. He said he didn’t need it, but wasn’t that a bit of a lie? He doesn’t have anything else to replace it.

He’s still holding it as he goes downstairs for breakfast. And finds Geiz & Tsukuyomi at the table, chastising him for sleeping in so late. Realizes that Oma Zio must have granted his wish. He’s definitely crying a bit as he smiles. The other 2 might be a little bit as well. The camera focuses on Sougo tossing the picturebook aside before joining them at the table.

Wait a sec.......

So Tsukasa predicted that his powers would get stolen so he gave Zio the Decade watch as a back up? So this whole time he was fighting at 50% damn! That’s actually really smart of Tsukasa splitting his power in half just in case considering how destructive his power is,man this made me remember how friggin op Decade is! Think about it with only half of Decades power Schwartz was able to make Grand Zi-O look like a kitten fighting a tiger! Who knows what he could’ve did if he had all 100%!

I was wondering how Decade was still able to Transform after giving Zi-O his Ridewatch since everyone else completely lost their powers and apparently their memories of being riders? I’m still confused about that tbh. I love how even with 50% of his power Decade was still able to wreck Zi-O and Geiz at first and was able to keep up with all of them in their final forms. I doubt they can make a Neo-Decade Complete Form but if they did there is no way it wouldn’t be on the same level as Grand Zi-O

Before Episode 39 airs, and josses the heck out of everything here, I want to get this theory out of the way, as to how Sougo could be Oma Zi-O, but not have actually turned evil.

For a while, I was thinking that Oma Zi-O was never Sougo at all, but instead was Another Zi-O.

Then we actually got Another Zi-O.

SO. Here’s some approximately collected data points that show that Oma Zi-O could, in fact, be Another Zi-O and Sougo.

My mostly coherent points are under the cut. As always, let me know what you think. Feel free to add on in reblogs, keep the convo going! (For as long as we can, anyway.)

Fact 1.

A Kamen rider can become an Another Rider. We’ve seen this happen three times thus far. The first was Dan Kuroto, normally Kamen Rider Genm, becoming Another OOO. The second was Rentaro, who is intended to, in the future, become Kamen Rider Shinobi, instead becoming Another Shinobi. Rentaro’s incident adds another point – a Kamen rider can become their own Another Rider, should time travel be involved in the creation of one or the other. The third is Yaguruma, normally Kamen Rider KickHopper, becoming Another Kabuto. In his case, he’s still KickHopper, demonstrating that a rider, even if turned into an Another Rider, can still have access to their original form, assuming that there’s no timeline-erasure interference.

Fact 2.

Power copying is not uncommon in this season. it is, in fact, one of the two main gimmicks – and can be doubled up upon. Firstly, Zi-O himself has one base powerset, that of his standard weapons. (And possibly time manipulation, but that’s not relevant right now.) He can then compliment this with a RideWatch, letting him borrow the powers of a different Kamen Rider. Additionally, this powercopying can, in fact, stack. We first saw this with an Another Rider, who was both Fourze and Faiz simultaneously. The next example of power stacking is when Zi-O uses the Decade RideWatch. It allows him to use Decades version of power copying to upgrade his own, resulting in Zi-O obtaining a version of a rider’s upgraded form.

Another Zi-O took powercopying to a new level, by copying Zi-O’s ability to copy powers. He was able not only to mimic this ability, in a manner more akin to Another Fourze-Faiz, but also to turn other people into prior Another Riders, both via using their AnotherWatches. Another Zi-O can use them on his own, in a manner akin to Sougo, in order to transform himself, or in a manner akin to the time jackers, on other people, in order to transform said people into Another Riders under his command.

Fact 3.

Another Riders can become Kamen Riders. Or, well, this isn’t the entire truth. They are not the Riders themselves, but… If a RideWatch is used on the matching Another Rider, said person transforms from the kaijin form that is inherent to being an Another Rider into the proper form of the Kamen Rider. This was seen with Another Another Agito, who had the newly-formed Agito Ridewatch shoved into him, and proceeded to take the form of Agito himself.

Now, as to how Oma Zi-O could be Another Zi-O...

Point 1.

Firstly, the Another Zi-O watch was destroyed… temporarily. The entire Another Zi-O arc showed that the Another Watches can be recreated from the people who originally hosted them, allowing for Another Zi-O to make use of his matching Rider’s powerset. When his watch was destroyed, it reformed itself, rewinding time. We have yet to see where the Another Zi o watch went after that.

No big deal, just manipulating the flow of time itself…

That he has without being transformed.

Point 2.

Another ZiO used his ridewatches a similar method to Zi-O, but not exactly. Sougo has armor themed around the Riders, but Another Zi-O takes their exact form. He does this by holding the Another Watch close to where his belt would be, if he had one, and activating it. This is also, IIRC, how he activates his own transformation into Another Zi-O.

Point 3.

Oma Zio does not insert his RideWatches into his driver the way that Zi-O does. In fact, he doesn't insert them at all. He uses the bezel wheel and button, activates them, and uses the attacks – no form change required. His belt doesn't even appear to have a place to attach ridewatches at all – be they additional ones or his own.

Point 4.

We did not, in fact, actually see Oma Zio transform when we went to 2068. We saw him stand up – we might have heard him say ‘transform’. But we did not see the process. What we did see was a large explosion go up around the ‘civilian’ form of Oma Zi-O, and then he emerged in his Rider Form.

Point 5.

The one shot of Sougo’s alleged ascension to being Oma Zio that we have seen, from when Oma’s Day / The Day of Oma was first described to him by Geiz and Tsukuyomi, also did not show a transformation sequence. Instead, it appeared to show a series of warped rings forming around ‘Sougo’. While this can now be said to look similar to a darker version of the Zi-O II transformation, we didn’t have that at the time, and it seemed more chaotic than the clockwork movements of Zi-O’s transformations.

We have seen Another Riders transform. Said transformation includes clouded, viney, thorny rings circle around the civilian, leaving the Another Rider form in their wake when they dissipate. This applied to Another ZiO, as well, whose ‘vines’, IIRC, looked somewhat more orderly than most Another Riders, although I’d have to check.

Now, as for why Oma Zi-O could be Another Zi-O, and still be Sougo…

Swartz has told the other Time jackers that they are seeking out Another Riders to be candidates for ascending to ‘King of all riders’. However, we’ve seen that he appears to have his candidate chosen, multiple times.

He never gave the Another Riders he selected a choice in the matter, never mentioning the king aspect to them, unlike Heure and Hora.

He acted as though Hiryuu, aka Another Zi-O, was his candidate for a while. As I said when he pulled Another Zi-O away from the Geiz Revive debut fight... “After all, who better to be the king of riders than someone using all of their powers?”

But this was overlooking something. Information we didn’t yet have about the bus accident that tied Hiryuu and Sougo together.

It was caused by Swartz, who did something to Sougo, and led him to believe the entire chaotic incident in the future was a dream… a dream asking – no – telling him to become king.

Swartz has had his candidate all along, and it is Sougo Tokiwa.

So why the subterfuge?

Well, Sougo can’t inherit the powers of all riders if there’s no reason for him to do so. Thus, creating the another riders is necessary, to force Sougo’s hand. But in that case, why would Swartz make an another rider of Zi-O?

Because Another Zi-O inherits even more powers, those of the Another Riders – the dark copies of good men.

Oma Zi-O is a tyrant calling himself beloved. Another riders, those who keep their minds, anyway, always think what they are doing is justified. Their judgement is warped by the another watches and the power.

Now, I definitely can’t say what the deal with this new “uniting Tsukuyomi’s time abilities with Sougo’s” is, but…

If a certain bastard in purple were to take a ridewatch that should have shattered, but didn’t…

If a ridewatch can warp a persons personality just as much as it warps the power it’s duplicating.

If he didn’t give a boy who wants to be a great king a choice in the matter.

A rider with powers over time might have lost enough of himself to become a demon king, and convince himself that he is a beloved overlord.

Zi-O Adaption for America

So here on Tumblr, something I have noticed alot of is the desire by users to adapt Kamen Rider to more fit the western market, or simply to recast and change the series so that it fits a view point they would like to see. (Such as changing item names or the genders of most of the cast).

And I found these ideas pretty interesting, I typically prefer the Japanese versions of Sentai to Power Rangers, but it could be interesting to see another Rider season get brought to America. Since the last one we had was Ryuki, better known as Dragon Knight in the west years ago.

But the issue with rider seasons like Decade or the most recent series Zi-O is that their anniversary seasons, and most casual people won’t know who most of these riders are. And while I may pose an idea on how Decade could be done at some point, my idea for Zi-O could be a fun “what if” if hasbro ever did decide to do it.

For starters, unlike most people I would not change any of the names of the riders, I feel most work very well and could work well enough for english audiences with one obvious exception that I will get to in a second. The Japanese characters used heavily in Zi-O would be hard to get around, but it could be used as an educational purpose, teaching the predominantly young audience about Japanese writing, similar to how say Toqger had a segment dedicated to teaching children about trains despite not being an educational show.

So beyond motifs, the general of Zi-O could remain largely the same, with a bigger emphasis of showing off the previous riders and perhaps moving some around so that they make more sense. Such as not doing Build and Ex-aid back to back, given how close they would be.

Now for the story itself, in 2018(The original time setting of the show so props won’t have to be changed and the Jiku drivers screen display can remain.) the main character wants to be King, why? Well because in this universe, theres legends of the “Masked Riders” a group who was lead by a prince from another planet, so if he became a king he could be like that hero. And than of course people from the future come, making the claim that he’s evil; but I feel Americans will need to be given more of Oma-Zio’s presence through out the show to truly mark him as a treat. Anyhow why would our American Zi-O meet other riders? Well the lore in universe would be that following Masked Rider in 1995, other heroes began to defend the earth since his departure to return home, these heroes call them selves Kamen Riders, and would help tie in Masked Rider to Kamen Rider Dragon Knight. So as the audience get to travel through time seeing other riders and what could have been what they were like. Kind of like how the future riders were handled actually. With some possible potential for most post decade seasons to get some adaptions at a later point.

With the recent over quartzer movie in mind, I think having Masked Rider as the big influence of the series could help make the ending of the show work well. I don’t know a whole lot about how Zi-O will be ending, after all we still have that movie and four more episodes, but I think by the over Quartzer movie into the main show, so we could have those villain rider mess with our main character, originally leading him down the path of Oma-Zio in the first timeline.

Now if Hasbro handles the toys or not, I suggest that they simply bring over the Japanese toys rather than make all new ones. Why? Well because sounds come directly out of the Ride-Watches, and for all the base riders they use no full on Japanese, just the jingles and names of each rider. And the LED screen is in english as well so no need to really change that. I would recommend perhaps including sounds for Ride-Watches that do contain lots of Japanese to have a switch so fans of the Japanese seasons could still get the sounds out of the watches without having to buy the Japanese versions.

So thats my super broad idea of tying the world of Kamen Rider back into its American roots, with Masked Rider and Dragon Knight having a large influence on the plot. Im not super used to sharing my shower thoughts like this, so I hope it was a good read!

KR Zero One ep29: The ep where Fuwa was the protagonist... in fact i feel Fuwa is the true protagonist. XD Aruto fails as main character in many ways, but anyways, that’s just my feeling. Now that finally, after 15/20 eps the plot is moving may be... just may be Aruto could do something good and worth and reclaim his main Rider position.. and for not annoy anyone with my CRITIC about this show...

We left with a defeated Aruto, because his humangear went berserk at his own will and began to insult people, but yeah... for Aruto humans are meanies. Of course Gai took advantage of that situation in the most treacherous way as he always does.

And Fuwa got controled by Gai thanks to the brain chip... really i wish they could have showed a small flashback of how and when they intalled him the chip. Dear lazy Zero One writer... flashbacks are good, please... use them.

Probably Naki will only appear in the special of the Bluray box. I really hope dont because will be another wasted character.

In this case...both are to blame. But yeah... for Aruto the bad one is humanity.

And instead of apologize and use technology for broadcast to all homes an speech that can reach human hearts... what Aruto does is...

... being pitiful. It’s not that Aruto speech is wrong or bad... in fact he have a point but feels like empty words. I feel Zero One want to pick the problem of machines stealing human work... in a very wrong way! XD And here we can clearly see that Izu is just a cute robot. She don’t have any dialogue, she is just there... being cute and being a victim the most dramatic way. And this don’t help, just makes feel Aruto more lonely than he already is.

And Fuwa just observing in the back... is... worse!! XD I mean... why he is not helping them? It’s not his duty? come on... he had already say it, he do what he want. This was a golden opportuny for show friendship, cute interaction. But no. I mean even Geiz and Sougo had A LOT more interaction, more dialogue than these two in 29 eps. And you know Zio is really BAD WRITTEN was awful, but the characters speaked to each other, interacted to each other, it was... good, characters were good. Here in Zero One... they are superficial, their only treat are their good looks, and even i admit Horobi and Jin, i like them more for the looks than anything else, they are good looking characters. Sorry, if you not agree with me, but that is what i feel.

Gai have a not healthy impulse to control tools! Wonder... why?! Probably we will never know.

Aruto... the only human employees you have are those two... any others are humangears and you don’t pay them any cent. Either way i guess Aruto is more concerned about the destiny of the humangears... wish... he really had a counter plan for that.

Is my head canon that every time Horobi want to say because he love or like, he says it’s the ark will. XD

I feel that is a big shame to know Naki only in the special of the Bluray box.

I know this was a dramatic scene... but... i laughted so hard... i mean... Horobi and Jin are in background watching Fuwa scream!! XD

It’s the first time i heard Humangear have souls! That is the singulaty point? But how can you program that? How even Humangears are made? By the magic of a satelite? I mean even Roidmudes in Drive have a good reason for them to feel human. For much that i didn’t like Drive... i have to admit that is way better than Zero One.

Starting to feel pity about Aruto.

Izu for god sake... you are a Humangear... wish she could defend for herself instead of being the excuse for characters to showoff. There are other ways better to show off than use a damsel in distress, worst a ROBOT damsel in distress. But that could have been a lot of thought for our dear LAZY writer right?

THIS, this was good... so good, finally!! Finally some character grow!! I want to cry!! Fuwa, by his own will controlled the chip and transform. That’s so main character! TTvTT

Again... Aruto didn’t say a thing... like some stranger. Excuse me... but i can’t... i can’t like Aruto and Izu like this... i can’t... i know everyone LOVES THEM... but... i can’t (goes to cry in a corner).

Yua... girl... WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?! How many siblings you have that depends on your salary?

Oh yeah... the only dialogue of Aruto... and Izu... 0 dialogue... It must be easy to Noah to memorize all Izu dialogues. XD

So... it was true that Aruto lived on Hiden office?! He will return to live on the streets?! Let’s find out in the next chapter. XD
