so, the posts on this blog about facial difference inspired me to make an oc with facial difference- specifically strabismus and a port wine stain. she's pretty much become one of my favourite characters to draw and develop, ive taken care to make sure she doesn't fall into shitty tropes. however, i have had one problem- in the world she lives in, rebels like her cover their face most of the time. ive been really struggling on how to design her mask/covering in a way that doesn't feel shitty, and doesn't feel like it's trying to cover her facial difference. and i know that technically it's not as bad if she's not the only character who wears a mask, but i still don't wanna push it, if you know what i mean? so it would be awesome if you could give suggestions on how i could handle her mask. here's a reference of her for. reference, and some ideas ive had for masks. thank you for taking the time, and for this blog in general!

I think that something close to the second one would actually be kinda fun (no irony or sarcasm). If we're talking about a story where everyone wears a mask, having the character with FD wear one that covers everything except for the FD is actually subversive! I never thought I would say that, but it does feel like it is.

Not sure how strict of a design should it be, but a diagonal - her bottom right to her top left - mask would be nice!

I tried to write down a detailed description of what I mean but it was coming out rather overcomplicated, so I hope you're okay with me doing a few demonstrative sketches; a diagonal and rather-silly option, an idea for the bandana with a drawn smile and the kind of tie that would show her necklace, and an idea for the half-mask but with an eye with strabismus painted on the mask.

So here are the suggestions! I haven't drawn in a while so my skills are kinda rusty, but I hope it conveys the concept! My personal favorite would be the first one - I know it barely counts as a mask but then again, in comics it's common that someone is unrecognizable when they wear a pair of glasses, so maybe it's not as farfetched haha.

The second one would be totally fine by my standards, but I'm assuming that her necklace has some kind of significance in the story, so maybe she could cross it at the back and tie it in the front instead for it to be more visible (or wear the necklace over it even?).

I think that doing something like on the third drawing above would be okay if there are also a lot of moments where her actual strabismus is shown. In general, I think that the idea of a character with a facial difference wearing a mask just to paint it on the mask is kinda silly, and I feel like it would fit her character. But for something like that to work, she would need to have the mask off often. If you choose to do that, I suggest your first time showing her to the viewer is with her mask off, both for the usual reasons I mentioned before but also because strabismus is often used as a gag in art. For me, seeing a character wear that kind of mask with no context would be kind of eye-rolling - but seeing a character with a crossed eye put on a mask with the same exact kind of eye, go and join their friends at doing rebel things? That's actually something new!

I enjoy that your character seems to be on the rather joyful and happy side, I like that :-) (smile emoji)

Hello! Welcome to the Blue and Violet Ask Blog!

As you might have guessed, this is an ask blog where you can ask the Mayor (Blue) and Macaque (Violet) from LMK questions! However, before anything else, there are a few things that you need to know.

General Things:

First things first, if you are not aware already, this blog is not based 'completely' on LMK canon! Instead, it is directly based and linked to the Blue and Violet Fanfiction series on AO3. Written by yours truly, me (haha!). Link to the fic series is in the bio/under the header. If you want to ask questions, please make sure you are up to date with all the chapters in ALL the fics in the series. (Also by the way YES THIS IS SHADOWPUPPET >:DDDD. If you don't like it and have a desire to assert your opinion regarding that? Then please, I kindly ask that you do not interact with this blog for your sake, my sake, and for the sake of everyone else who might want to enjoy this. Thank you :))).)

What this means is that the only things that Macaque and Mayor have experienced is within the context of this fanfiction series (which contains lots of establishment of how they know each other and their perspectives during seasons 1-3). Therefore, you definitely cannot ask these two about season four related things, because it hasn't happened to them yet!

Due to this, this blog will follow the timeline and events of what happens in the newest instalment of the series, 'Winter Mornings, Summer Nights' (previously, it was 'Colours'). After every chapter is posted, you will be able to ask Macaque and Mayor questions relating to what had happened to them in that chapter or any events prior in the fic series.

IMPORTANT: Whatever happens in this ask blog is NOT canon to the fic series. However, what happens in the fic series directly affects this blog. This means that nothing you ask or say on this blog will affect the Blue and Violet storyline.

Rules (or just... things to remember?) Regarding Asks:

I think I will be able to answer every question that you all submit. However, if I find a question too offensive, too uncomfortable, too strange (meaning I just don't understand it :'D) or something that will potentially spoil the future events of the fic series, then I will have to unfortunately ignore the ask. Either that, or I simply answer the ask with a silly picture of some sorts. On that note, please don't ask any character or me what will happen next! They probably don't know either! You'll all just have to wait and see ;D.

You can ask both Macaque and Mayor any questions you desire. However, I would highly recommend with each chapter posted, we stick to asking questions to whomever the new chapter's POV is in! As of right now, chapter one's POV is Macaque's!

At some point, I may decide to only let you ask questions for certain characters when certain chapters are published. Completely blocking you from asking questions to other characters (due to plot reasons perhaps?)

Also, if you wanted, you could also ask side characters any questions you wanted! Like Baihe, or any one of my OC's for Mayor's side of the story. But, keep in mind that this is technically a Shadowpuppet ask blog XDDD thus, they should be the main focus.

Not only can you ask the characters questions, but you can also just ask me questions about the series in general? Or just... Say something I guess? I've had people do that on my main blog, and it always makes me happy to see that people like what I am writing!

I will be honest, I am not expecting many asks to come to this blog. But, on the off chance I am overloaded with asks, please know that I can only work so fast! If it really does get too much I will temporarily shut the ask box, but I will make sure that every ask is answered to the best of my ability (Update: I look back on this statement and I realise oh how so very naive I had been)!

IMPORTANT: As of right now, it seems I should be able to answer one-two questions per day (although it could be less frequent due to potential circumstances in the future) so keep that in mind!

After experimenting with the ask box I have decided that the box will be open for 24 hours whenever it opens! This is just so that people from different time zones can like, have an equal chance to get something in if they want, haha. No cap limit on the box for now, just go wild!

this blog is awesome but jas the horroble side effect of making it so anytime i see alpha trolls stiff i get unreasonably mad like. They Are Not Like That. i saw someone call damara chaotic evil and it made mw sooo mad. like i GET IT i get it no one wants to read a billion pages but like. NO ONE IS MAKING U MAKE THESE POSTS... rauaugh. sorry lol

Inflicting you with the horrible knowledge that almost nobody in the god damn fandom actually knows anything about the Alpha Trolls, nor do they care to. And if they do know anything, they often strip them of most if not all of their traits- including their most interesting ones!- for the sake of shipping and/or making an OC with their face and name. It blows. Why do you think you just about never see me reblogging Alpha Troll content? I don't visit any of their tags because if I do, it's just beams of pure unadulterated psychic damage blasted directly into my fucking eyes. Genuinely it feels like people were better at handling them back when Homestuck was still running and the community was still actively a cesspit. At the very least there were some oases of people that had actual brain cells. They've all died out now. They were either chased away by Homestuck's Postcanon- which caused a very real and very, very large exodus- or by the absolutely horrific harassment you'd receive for liking the Alpha Trolls- ESPECIALLY Mituna.

Swerving off topic for a moment to talk about the harassment: I saw a significantly higher number of people that were genuinely normal about Mituna back in the day that handled his disability with more grace than God. Diehard Mituna fans- especially diehard Mituna/Latula shippers- were people you'd be getting intricate guides and long lists of resources surrounding TBIs- including genuinely helpful stuff like the care and treatment of them for anyone who had suffered one recently, that kind of thing- and some of the most touching portrayals of mental disability I'd ever seen. It's a shame a lot of their stuff is either gone or nearly impossible to find nowadays, on account of Tumblr's search system prioritizing new content, and... You know... The vicious harassment people would get for even saying they liked him in the first place. I'm talking, like, Cronus-tier shit. People were getting called slurs and being told to kill themselves, even when what they made was handled with the most tact physically possible. It still happens to this day, at least to me. It's pretty deranged! Always has been.

Back on topic, though... Urgh. Damara being read as Chaotic Evil... Me when I take the bait of a blatantly abusive misogynist with zero ounce of critical thought. Damara isn't evil, she's just reactive. There's a big difference. "Evil" implies she struck first and is totally unjustified in her actions, and is only doing them because she wants to. She's an incredibly tortured soul who is, in my honest opinion, reasonably responding to her situation. If anything, I think she should have done worse. I think she should have straight up killed Rufioh. Meenah too, but... Well, she definitely tried to do that, and almost succeeded, but Aranea put her in her Quest Cocoon, so... She's here and Godtier, instead of dead in the ground. Unfortunate. Damara both needed and deserved that kill more than anything else in the world.

Adding in my two sense with the other anons (as someone who's opinions matter like. so little) I feel like it's extra frustrating when he keeps showing he IS capable of getting stuff out in a timely manner, like roleslaying (which I very much enjoy!) Doesn't have insane wait times between and they get multiple seasons worth of shots done in a few days. I know sander sides is a bigger production and I get wanting something you've been working on for so long to be perfect, but teasing it without any actual, substantial updates is like... idk it just seems mean at some point aksgsiajdhdojahdif.

And I am a writer, I have stories that I've worked on for years and aren't done, I've abandoned stories for years only to pick them back up way later, but I'm also not sharing them with anyone (except occasionally my queer platonic partners) and certainly not getting PAID BY HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE to keep them up to date. Asides was supposed to help the wait but it became essential viewing and full production instead of fun one offs, all actual small fun videos are merch plugs. This is long and probably doesn't make much sense, you also don't have to post it if you don't want to, but I dunno I have thoughts and wanted to get them out :p

I dunno, I enjoy the series and the other videos, I just feel like at some point along the line he got burn out for sander sides and instead of saying that he just kept talking about the characters to keep us interested (and because I do think he genuinely likes them, they're his ocs and he's clearly fond of them) and now only has the motivation to film stuff for the sides when he's being paid MORE to do it by merch drops.

( somehow this blog every once in a while becomes a safe space for people to vent their criticisms on anon haha which is fine i know we all need it sometimes, just funny how it keeps happening. i guess it’s inevitable when the blog is about video updates. oh well. don’t forget to block # ts criticism if you don’t want to see this stuff! )

yeah like i understand that even if they are capable of producing a video in a few days it doesn’t mean that that should be the standard for every single one. makes sense that some scripts and effects and stuff will take longer than others, and they can’t be at maximum productivity all the time. however.. having these small things done quickly once every few months doesn’t sound so bad? but i don’t know i don’t know i have no experience with this.

like they definitely have the money, equipment and staff for the production and post production of a video to go somewhat smoothly, so i think the problem is that the planning and scripting are just too hard because it’s just way too ambitious now for every single sanders sides episode, including asides. hope they realize not every video has to be dealing with intrusive thoughts to be good enough but who knows.

its been over a week (im so sorry) but finally getting around to doing this

figured i'd talk some about the three ocs of mine that i've shown on this blog before, go into a bit more depth about who they are and what not! gonna put it under the cut for anyone interested :)

max is the lead singer of a rock band who has been cursed to constantly smile (he can close his mouth), a side effect of which being that he's permanently fucking starving. he's a born shape-shifter, but a learned skill of his is perfect vocal imitation, which helps his band getting hired for song covers, but also works as a great intimidation tactic or lure for prey. he has really good metabolic control, as well, so that's something ig lol. (also hes a sona based visually on mod pinkneck)

dave is one of his alters, a fellow singer, but in the band he's more of the songwriter half of 'singer-songwriter'. max being a shape-shifter lets him physically look like his alters which i think is neat. dave is stuck with the hunger side of the curse but not the smile. he has max's vocal imitation skill, but not metabolic control, instead his digestive mucus and enzymes contain a gaseous hallucinogen that cause his prey to trip balls while they're being digested. (hes a sona based visually on mod ringneck) (also i frequently draw him as a mad scientist because mad science rules)

in terms of voracious escapades, both of them are preds, max being an 'apex', dave being more likely to be prey. both usually fatal, both definitely engage in both soft and hard vore, and both don't shut up once they've caught you, they are monologue villains 100%.

mike is the fella featured in this post and he is one of my best boys. he is also a singer (i dont have a type i swear). not gonna get too deep into his story lol but basically he's the son of a goddess and a demon, just trying to live his life with his husband teddy (seen above, unused on this blog (for now)). i just like writing these guys into shenanigans since they're some of my longest standing ocs, along with some others that i'll be sure to give a light intro to if i do end up posting about them in the future :O

for the voracious escapades, both are kinda vore switches- teddy as pred is fatal, mike is safe, and they're purely soft preds. but it's not really their main thing for me! teddy's a feedee who loves being fed while lying on mike's howling hungry tummy. mike's into stuffing but mostly just likes seeing his husband so happy and full :)

About me: I love reading/writing and at any given moment I have too many projects circling through my head. I've loved to read for as long as I can remember and I've enjoyed writing things for that same amount of time. I also love video games and motorcycling, so if I'm not working on a wip I'm usually doing one of those two.

I'm not currently published, but I have a handful of original stuff I've been working on as well as fanfic. Some of my favorite tropes to read are found family, action/suspense, angst, horror/supernatural and slice-of-life. I tend to write very light sci-fi, action, supernatural, angst (though usually with a happy, if not bittersweet, ending) and occasionally somewhat comedic stuff. Sometimes, sometimes, I make shit get dark. I struggle with writing mystery and heavy romance, though I've been experimenting with the latter. A lot of my characters have somewhat sad backstories because apparently that's just what I do.

Original WIPS:

Medical Mechanical: A story about a couple of friends who set out to uncover the truth behind the mysterious mega-corporation that has infested their town and done strange things to their parents. Sci-fi, young adult, and I guess it also sort of falls under action, although nothing major really happens until much later. Additional tag(s): "mm" and "sci fi."

It's the first original thing I began posting about and also my favorite original project. I actually do have tons more than what I've posted thus far, but I got caught up in perfecting it and then sidetracked and kind of just stopped talking about it.

The Set Up: A sort of enemies-to-lovers* story involving two old acquaintances meeting years later and being reminded of how much they piss each other off. After they end up stuck together on a camping trip that was nothing more than a mischievous plan by their respective friends, they're forced to deal with each other until the trip ends. (Very light) Romance*, slice-of-life, humor/comedy, and angst—mostly due to their past trauma.

It's the second original project I'm working on, although this one has taken a backseat to my other works because I'm still going through the process of reformulating it. I thought I had it figured out, and was originally going to have it take place in college and be a forced-by-friends camping trip gone wrong, but I just wasn't feeling it. I don't know, but the way it was coming along just... didn't feel right. So I decided to essentially start over rather than force myself through something I wasn't enjoying and that wasn't getting anywhere. The main theme is that the two MCs initially can't stand each other and butt heads, however, they eventually learn more about themselves and each other and start making amends.

*I'm also at a point where I don't think I'm going to keep it as romance, but instead have their relationship be platonic. We'll see.

Connection: Pokepasta/Glitchy Red fic about a girl who manages to befriend the embittered glitch. In other words, hermit high-schooler gets ahold of the titular Red cart and gets a new friend, and local depressed kids' game may not think life is so miserable anymore. Sci-fi/supernatural (because my version of Red is somehow both just a bunch of code and some digitalized cryptid entity,) very mild angst in the form of bullying, and found family/friendship. Additional tag(s): "glitchy red" and "pokepasta".

Fanfic:

I got the brainrot and just wanted something to write with no worries. I write a chapter and as long as it holds up the story it gets published. That's it. I'm taking a break from serious writing/editing with this one. I've already let it get too out of hand as is. It was supposed to be a two-parter. Now look at it.

Mysterious New Member: Fic about the BF5 gaining a new member under mysterious circumstances. Due to the secrets she seems to be hiding, and the rising tensions of the war, Vert and the others find themselves on edge and at odds over what to do. Takes place during Fused. Sci-fi, action/adventure, humor. Additional tag(s): "bf5," and "hot wheels battle force 5."

Fun fact: This is a fic I started when I was like 13. I recently began rewriting it because now I am not 13 and I was rereading it one day and went, "The fuck did I write it like this for???" So began my tedious work of redoing the whole thing. The original is actually still up on FFN under the exact same name, for the new one I only added rewrite to the title 😅 I'm not mad at myself for the way it came out or anything, as I was literally a kid, but I can safely say my writing has improved immensely and I just couldn't fight the urge revamp it. I'm quite proud of how this new one is coming along, being both an improvement of my original version and also a slightly daker and more interesting take on BF5. I'm actually close to done, I'd say about 75-ish percent. I really just have two more major plot points to go through and the rest is just tying up loose ends as I go along. That said, if you'd like to check out the abandoned original, feel free. Just be prepared for a bit of whiplash when comparing the two.

It's The Thought That Counts: Dead Plate AU fic I started on a whim and, like a lot of things, it got out of hand and became a fun little side project. Rody isn't hopelessly pining after Manon, who's still alive but not relevant to the story, and Vincent isn't a psycho cannibal killer. Essentially gay panic meets bi-denial, Rody attempts to impress Vincent by learning how to bake lemon-themed desserts after he discovers it's the only thing that gives him any semblance of taste. After a shaky start, Vince decides to start giving Rody lessons and they eventually come to terms with their feelings. Romance, humor, angst, slice-of-life.

I've actually never written proper romance before this and am absolutely shocked that it's coming along as well as it is. It's the most fluff I've ever written. For whatever reason, these two dorks are super easy for me to write. I also recommend checking out the game, it's super fun.

There is so much more, but I'm going to stop for now.

If it wasn't already obvious, writing is my biggest passion and I hope to keep improving and expanding what I do. I'm also always open to advice and constructive criticism, and I hope to inspire and help others with their writing. Also, if you write anything with the tropes or genres that I listed, don't hesitate to tag me and I'll check them out! I really enjoy reading other people's works.

Since they have similar tech, and thus would know what it was, we'll go with Pale Blood OCs. Specifically, Ron and Odea, because that sounds like fun.

Ron found it, but he didn't get the chance to dig into it too deep before Odea caught him and snatched it.

"What is this thing, one of your relics?"

"Not mine, but definitely a relic."

It didn't take too long for Odea to work out how the screen functioned, and the lock pattern was child's play for a witch of her skill--a bit like an architect tasked with constructing a pillow fort. Once inside the thing, she had Ron's undivided attention. And while he didn't breathe down her neck he certainly wasn't making her any less uncomfortable with how close he leaned.

"Ron," she asked, nudging, "could you maybe, possibly, give me some fucking room?"

Scoffing, he leaned back, "Gods, hon, no need to get mouthy."

Forgetting the device, she addressed the blasphemy, "What Gods, your Gods?"

But Ron just rolled his eyes and pointed at the thing in her hands, "How about whichever made that thing, can we focus on that thing?"

"Pretty sure it's a kind of netlink, but I don't think any Gods have touched it," flicking the screen, she touched every single app she could find and discovered none of them were terribly interesting, "fuck, even I have games..."

Leaning too close again, Ron sighed when Odea glared, sidling instead to peer over her arm, "Well, what does it have?"

"Boards, looks like, something called Tumblr?" Her eyebrows asked Ron, but he had no idea what she just said and so answered with his own. Odea sighed, "It's mostly text and images. Is this art, propaganda, or...did an AI lose its shit? Oh, here, this looks like the root, their blog. The fuck is a 'blog'."

"You gotta stop with the mouth, hon, it's starting to grate."

"Fuck you, Ron."

"Oh, honey...no," he smiled at the glare that earned him before snatching the device and holding it too high for her to get back. Voice softening for what he found, "It's prose...and, our names are in here?"

"What, give it here," hopping off Ron's couch, Odea managed to grab the device but she didn't get to keep it. Dangling by his hands, she kicked as he chuckled.

"Nice try, hon, but it's my turn..." Letting her down, he huddled over the screen--slapping her snatching fingers away--and began typing before working out how to use the thing's excuse for a camera. "Say 'happy bats'," he trilled before snapping a picture of himself and Odea--who made certain he caught a finger instead of her face. "Yes, that's lovely...your best side."

Posting the picture, and a small message, he tossed the thing in a drawer and locked it before Odea could pry it out.

"The fuck, Ron," She snapped at him, throwing her arms up when he snickered.

hello, i hope you are well and having a nice day! you recently made this post (https://www.tumblr.com/powderblueblood/743847014582943744/any-additional-thoughts-on-fandom-and-writing-i) about fandom and writing and i wanted to say that i agree with lots of it and, if u didn't mind, share some of my thoughts about ur thoughts, if that's okay with you, because you brought up some points that i agree with a lot but never bothered to put into words.

firstly, omg dialogue is sooooo crazyyyy its the hardest part for me to write personally (in personal projects, i haven't really used this blog for writing yet) but also the most satisfying. i love the feeling of writing something that i feel a real person, and a specific kind of real person would say, and it's definitely the most interesting for me to read, especially in fanfiction because it's where fun relationships between characters can be explored, but t's also the trickiest because it takes me out of the story very quickly if i don't like the way it's written, both in fanfic and original works as well.

also, while i don't really mind shy readers or badass/snarky and sharp readers, my favourite is but reserved and cautious readers a lot.......like.....they aren't shy.....they are suspicious......they are friendly because that's the polite thing to do but they're not gonna freak it with randos who are weirdly hush hush about what they get up to in their free time. also yeah trying to get a middle schooler to think ur cool is the kind of herculean task that humbles you to the ground and i do think it's a little strange sometimes how quickly a very tight knit group of friends would accept a stranger in their midst, as established with max in s2

and yes omg more characters of colour PLEASE, and for stranger things specifically, imo, i want to just say about the show (which i'm not really watching anymore due to various reason amongst boycotting), i was always sort of put off by how they handled their non-white characters, specifically women of colour like kali, who i think is the only notable woc other than erica, and the way the showrunners handled her character rubs me the wrong way, esp as a desi girl. i also think it would be fun to just write like explicitly characters of colour, both oc and y/n/readers, Black readers, Asian readers, Desi readers, Hispanic readers, that are involved with their specific cultures and backgrounds instead of like, very generalised readers that still do, frankly, tend to come off as white, because of that non-specificity and the unfortunate reality that a lot of "blankness" does tend to get filled up by white norms (i really hope that made sense im so sorry if it didn't)

tbh i also don't really see haringrove because billy freaks me the hell out, but omg....what you said about steddie being any two guy syndrome.......tysm for giving me a word for it, i never knew how to put it other than like, not just that i *personally* don't think they had very good chemistry (not saying their not good actors, just that i don't think they had chemistry), but also i did not see it making thematic sense for either of them and their individual character arcs, as well as a little bit of "get the girl out of the way"-ness that a lot of these specific ships (specific as in the trend of any two guy-ness that can arise in fandom at times) tend to have.

also i never thought about it before, but yeah, having a best friend date your ex that you guys broke off on sort of bad, or at least awkward terms, would be a stressful experience to have to ANYONE in that dynamic. i think i like the idea of nancy and her issues with that, but i think exploring robin and the side of oops i like by bff's ex would be fun and the sort of hurt and weirdness that that could bring to a friendship that has been so far very positive and supporting for both steve and robin.

i am so so so sorry for the disjointed nature of this ask as well as its length, you just brought up some points well worthy of discussion and i wanted to talk to you about it. i'm sorry you feel alienated that's not a fun thing to experience, but if it's worth anything, i think it's nice that a (slightly) older person is still passionate and stuff about something i'm interested in. i feel like especially when your a teen it gets easy to imagine that people in their thirties, forties, fifties have lost all the sort of spark and passion that youthfulness is known for when that's not true! it just changes and evolves and maybe you discover new stuff (me rn as i'm sort of over st and not planning on watching s5 and am largely participatory based on joe keery/djo and maya hawke and caleb laughlin and sadie sink) or re-discover things you'd forgotten about, but idk, i hope i'm able to dedicate some time to my hobbies and such as i grow older which can get tough because of life. happy to hear your thoughts and excited to hear back if you choose to respond. have a pleasant day <3!

probably right here; i try and post most actual writing here anyway! i'll tag it with something like 'fandom unaffiliated' or 'original concept posting' - i'll probably start posting some oc writing stuff here too, but i haven't figured out how best to migrate that because obviously over on my other blog there's a lot more . . . context to who those guys are!

but recently i've been feeling . . . weird, about the whole community over there in murd3r oc/etc land, and the recent events have not made me feel better. i have always felt slightly adrift from it anyway - my preferred flavours of horror don't quite mesh with the most popular ones - but with so many of my friends and mutuals over there leaving the community entirely (and my own feelings about whether or not i actually belong there), i think i would rather separate it a little more.

over on @needleanddead i'll probably continue to post my art for my ocs, reblog specifically horror and gore aesthetic images, interaction with what people in the community are left, reblogs of things that are relevant to other murd3rsims etc - but i think i'd like to keep most of my writing here.

sorry, i got off-topic there! anyway. yeah! i'll be posting writing here, including non-fandom writing. that might end up being my ocs (in which case i'll make primers/etc to post here so you have context), that might end up being monsters, that might end up being characters who are never named and exist only because i want to write about a reader being ensnared by the Very Concept Of Death Itself.

Welcome to my blog where I document my descent into mental insanity. If you forced me to give this blog a label I'd say it's fandom-centric but I post a lot of other diverse stuff too, such as memes/shitposts, art, photography, so on. I also want to post about my original characters + their story. I am an artist but I don't post it often because of how long it takes and I don't really do sketches, so I post other things in the meantime. I try to stay away from intra-community discourse or general negative topics because it just makes me sad, and this blog is meant to be a form of escapism from my problems not a reminder of them. But of course I don't entirely ignore those things, so watch out for that if you don't wanna see it either. (Lots more under cut)

On stuff I actually like, you can just check my highlighted tags to see what I'm most into at the moment but there are more that I don't post often so I feel like I should address all of them at once. In fictional media, I like Bioshock (current hyperfixation), Pokemon (previous hyperfixation), Resident Evil but I don't really consider myself to be apart of the fandom because I don't play for the story or characters (I do like. Some of them though), Nexomon (previous hyperfixation), Fran Bow, Outlast, Amnesia. On fandom stuff, I'll talk a lot about the thing I'm currently hyperfixated on or have a special interest in, which for the moment is Bioshock (wow what a surprise). I mostly make shitposts, but I sometimes make serious analyses mostly on stuff I don't like because theres a lot more for me to say there, I don't do it to be negative I do it because it's fun to talk about. My brain for some reason is incapable of being hyperfixated on more than one thing at a time (I define hyperfixate by thinking about one thing 24/7 and making it about everything not *just* liking something a lot) and it can flip-flop often, so I apologize if you followed me for one specific fandom and then I got hyperfixated on something else. I never stop being deranged about a piece of media though, it just lays dormant like a sleeper agent waiting to be awakened again.

I know I said I don't like posting discourse but people apparently care about this stuff. I really, really hate DNIs because they're entirely redundant for a multitude of reasons, so instead of saying "if you are this thing then kys I hate you" like all DNIs do, because I cannot stop you from interacting I'm just going to list off things I do not support so if you do support said things I am going to block you because there are definitely things I have strong opinions on. All kinds of bigotry I shouldn't have to say. Exclusion/hatred of any queer group that's "acceptable" to shit on because reasons x y z (multisexuals, nonbinary people, aspecs, polyamorous people, queerhets, transmascs/trans men). I don't care for either side of "shipcourse" but if you are an antishipper or a proshipper and you harass ANYONE or justify harassment, please get a hobby and don't bother me. Don't come to me with ship, flag, or slur discourse in general.

Mobile Friendly Rules

This is a semi-active, slow replies, Mutuals ONLY blog for an extreme (borderline OC) AU version of Yuri Lowell from Tales of Vesperia. 90% of the time I likely will rp him as an OC, but I would love to explore the other vesperia characters with him.

This blog will have mentions of depression, mental breakdowns, panic attacks, and other dark topics. If any of these are something you wish to not interact with, then this blog is not for you. Continue interacting at your own risk.

While I try to tag triggers, I sometimes forget, or don't realize that something is a trigger. If you would like something tagged, please let me know!

It is okay for minors to interact with me. My blog will not contain any nsfw sexual content. (any such scenes will be fade to black or vaugely explained due to my personal trauma).

Reiteration of above point, there will be NO SMUT on my blog. Romantic relationships are absolutely fine, even encouraged because I'd love to explore that. But any writing more than kissing gets put into the fade to black corner. I am not comfortable writing indepth actions due to personal trauma.

Do not, under any circumstance, take control of my character without my consent. My writing style depends heavily on their own mind and actions, so taking control of my character without notifying me first OOC is a big red flag.

Please communicate with me OOC! I need communication via muns so that I know what i’m doing isn’t taken the wrong way. I have had these issues in the past, and would like to avoid repeats. I do not mind becoming affiliates! However, this will happen organically. If we talk a lot OOC and rp a lot, then I likely will affiliate with you and make you a Main. Do not ASK to be mains.

I reserve the right to rp with whoever I wish. I do not pick sides. I will not choose one over the other. If you attempt to make me choose either you or someone else, unless I know you very well and we are close friends...I will likely choose the person who is not pressuring me to choose. Firefox and Chrome both have extentions that allow you to block almost all instances of a user on your blog, please use it. (the only exception to that is asks, and for that reason I do not answer asks, but instead make a new post.)

IF YOU FOLLOW ME AND I MAKE AN EFFORT TO RP WITH YOU AND TALK WITH YOU AND YOU DO NOT MAKE AN EFFORT IN RETURN I will unfollow you. I normally do not have an issue with this, but there are a few people who I have been excited to rp with and then it never go anywhere. If I see that you consistently reblog memes and starter requests without fulfilling, I will unfollow you.

-Star/Usa/whatever her url and name is now: Lots of drama happened with this person and my circle of friends. Due to her sending people to attack me and my friends via anon, I do not wish to even hear about her. This situation has been inactive for months.

-Loke: (renascii) Same reason as above though also for stealing and lieing. This situation has been inactive for months.

-Ezrile: A little bit more difficult to explain, but this person is unmedicated and mentally ill, and uses their illness as an excuse to treat others quite badly and as their personal punching machine. When called to take responsibilty for their actions, they pushed it off and have slandered my name as well as other's in order to justify their actions. This situation is still ongoing, as they continue to vague about me and another person who will remain unnamed, as well as stalk us. (I have confirmed that this person IS in fact a stalker. I would advise in avoiding this user, but will not force it. If you would like more information, send me a message and we can discuss things.)

This list will update as necessary. As stated, You may rp and interact with these people; just make sure to tag them so my blocker can get it. Please understand this is NOT a dni, I just ask if you interact with these people please make sure to tag their urls so that my blocker will pick them up.

I try not to engage in drama. I do my best to keep in my own lane. I have in the past, voiced my opinions on topics that are related to me particularly or related to people I am quite close with. However, I try to stay out of it.

Please do not pressure me in replying. I have ADHD, anxiety, and depression. All of these combined do not make a good cocktail for pressure, and if i'm pressured in interacting, replying, or other things then I get burnt out really fast. I do this because I enjoy it, so please don't take my enjoyment out of it by putting a deadline on me.

That being said, if i've taken more than a week or so to even interact with you, feel free to poke me and just give me a gentle reminder! I don't consider "hey we still good for that rp?" a pressuring measure, and I love to interact so i'd be thrilled to get a message!

I care very little about how other people run their blogs. I care very little about what topics you rp. If I enjoy talking to you, or writing with you, then I will do so. This means I do not take place in censorship culture. I will not shame you, or call you out based on what you find enjoyable. I know for a lot of people, writing and rp is a type of therapy, and most of us are adults here and can choose to disengage when something makes us uncomfortable.

If you DO happen to do something that makes me uncomfortable, I likely will unfollow, but I will at least communicate with you on why before I do. But considering I'm currently rping a bunch of trauma ridden little ones, it's highly unlikely.

Finally, a special rule: I will NOT RP with any characters from the series Tales of Symphonia or Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World. If you are a multimuse that has these characters on it, then as long as those rps are tagged, I'm fine. I have a bit of trauma related to the series and don't wish to revisit it.

This is an RP blog for the DOL AU of my OC Lettie/Lettice the Heavensent! Run by @degrees-of-fuck the thing the myth the absentee.

Major canon character relationship under cut for useful info just in case, but any and all interactions are welcome!Not necessary reading, but it's here and might inspire some interactions idk

Content warnings for more mentions of bloodshed n violence than is in game, references to and implications of religious abuse and most likely a whole lot of stalking.

Basic concept since she's less of a traditional PC and self explanatory than my other guys: OC that I ported over to DoL that ended up being a magic sheep thing that got thrown at the temple as a baby for Magic Baby Malevolence crimes. Magic Powers + Divine Connotation = Become a local "divine" being and have to deal with that public image and not slipping and letting anyone think you might actually be a demon instead. Also = being a sacrificial lamb/bloodbag on the down low, but she doesn't tend to post about that outside of hinting. She's also very sickly on account of Psychic Side Effects, Just Being Chronically Ill and the constant bloodletting.

JORDAN: Jordan is one of the few people at the temple that Lettie actually uhhhhh... Likes. They are probably terminally unaware of The Horrors, after all. She admires their charisma and the effect they have on others - and probably saw a lot of them growing up. As a rule, she's hiding 1000000 things from them at any given moment, generally for reasons for Not Rocking The Boat.

HARPER: Lettie is a Sickly Thing and a Cute Little Doll that needs her doctor to take care of her <:) It's just a shame the temple refuses to let Harper Keep her... (I think of my OCs, she's the one Harper would be fixated on, though frustrated by her inaccessibility relative to less... Known people.) As for her own side, Lettie despises them. Just... Very quietly. She acts sweet and compliant with them as with anyone else, occasionally looking for opportunities to mess with them. Gaslighter Combat.

KYLAR: Another member of the Lettie Fixator Club. another falls victim to her horrendous aura of Obsession Magnetism... Lettie is nice to Kylar consistently (After all, in her case, showing kindness to people others don't won't effect her specific reputation poorly) - but is always very careful not to let them get uh... Too close. (Because that WOULD.) Kylar feels like the only one that actually Knows her, but I think what they have in their head is just another false image of her. Her big eyes and tiny stature make her look just like one of their figurines and maybe, they hope, she can use her powers to help their parents.

SYDNEY: I think it's COMPLICATED for Lettie. Sydney's existence makes her paranoid, since if a human did appear to out-purity her, that feels like a risk of being re-categorized as a demon in her head. Corrupt Sydney, she'd find much easier to get along with - but I'm not sure yet how I specifically picture it. Despite this, I think the two would know each other relatively well, even if mostly through their shared connection to Jordan. But yeah. Lettie mostly avoids Sydney unless she has a Reason to approach. Sometimes does make a bit of an effort to keep them from having an aneurysm and dying/generally reaches out to them for appearance's sake lol.

IVORY WRAITH: oughghghgh the wraith... I really need to think of this more, but I think of my guys, Lettie would be the most likely to get possessed by it on a regular basis. Plus. Their shared religious Sacrifice type trauma... For MANY reasons, I think the wraith is the only DoL character Lettie would actually be into lmao. I ship it.

GWYLAN: I think they know and like each other : ) Lettie sneaks off into the woods sometimes to forage and I think they vibe with each other now and then. Plus, Gwylan has a way of coming quick when she gets mauled by wolves. Which is uh. A lot. (damned lamb...)
