every now and then they get aches and pains that they aren't too sure what they are until someone brings it up one day and they're all like shit i get that too, and they discuss and kinda figure its from the injuries they got when they died.

and thats like how they figure out how exactly they all died bc obviously it was a rollercoaster crash but none of them knew the the extent of what injuries they all got until they started listing all these pains they kept getting and letting each other know when someone just starts like bleeding out of nowhere

they kinda forget about jane for a while bc she never really got any of that due to her not having much of a connection to her previous body until one day shes just fucking . bleeding profusely from her neck and they're all like WHHAT THE FUCK

the core difference between ej and ricky is that ricky is loved unconditionally and ej is not.

For basically the entire show ricky is a kid with no responsibilities other than to the musical but also no pressure to be anything other than who he is: a kid. he’s a slacker with bad grades and commitment issues but his parents and friends love him regardless. He’s just loved for who he is.

EJ on the other hand is the exact opposite he has a perfect grades, a mountain of responsibilities from student body treasurer to water polo captain not to mention directing a musical in season 3. EJ also isn’t a slacker but he also isn’t loved unconditionally by his family who seem to just put up with him (ashlyn) and his father who wouldn’t even see his show or tell him he’s proud of him. Most if not all of ej’s actions have been to prove that he’s worthy of love and that if he’s successful he’ll be worthy of love wether it be from friends or partners or family

i think ricky has the potential to be such a cool parallel to stede with how much he tries to relate himself to him with the whole thing about how they both come from money but then clearly showing that he has no respect for anyone that isn't upper class, plus based on the trailers it very much looks like he goes running back to the empire and his inherited wealth after his stupid actions inevitably caught up with him, i just think it is/will be really interesting to see why stede ended up fitting in but ricky didn't

Ricky is like Stede in the way that he is rich and was probably also bullied/felt like an outsider.

But that’s where it stops.

Stede got bullied cus he was soft and gentle(gay) I’d be willing to bet Ricky got bullied cus he was a spoiled little entitled tyrant.

Stede sees people being bullied and gravitates towards the victims to form communities. Ricky sees people being bullied and tries to emulate the bullies out of his own self interest to acquire status and power. He belittles the pirates in RoP the second he gets there. Trying to buddy up with Stede about how much better/smarter they are. Ricky is the kid who brings his ball to the park and shares until he starts losing so he takes his ball and goes home so nobody can play.

He didn’t try to destory piracy to be king Pirate or to prove himself. He didn’t even do it to look out for the empire or whatever. He did it because if he can’t have it nobody can.
