So, I made this r/polandball comic after a long hiatus...but forgot that it's Lesser Known September on the subreddit and US is banned. Oh well.

I'll just be posting this here until LKS passes, since it still has the same effect then.

In other news: Happy BER months to my fellow pinoys. :P

Context: Philippine Christmas Season is literally 4 months long, Starting 1st of September. Also, the first time I ever heard of the Advent Calendar tradition was when Minecraft youtubers would do advent calendar maps. :P

Disclaimer: I don’t recall seeing a leftist say both things at the same time. But I’m pretty sure I’ve seen leftists who expressed both views at different times.

A while back, there were stories about baby formula shoplifters. A bunch of people said the stores should just take the hit, since the thieves were clearly just poor parents who couldn’t afford it normally.

Turned out most of the thieves are, according to most estimates, a) criminals who want to cut drugs, or b) criminals who want to resell it to actual parents. Possibly at a markup.

I see similar thinking with homelessness. A lot of people think homeless folks are people who are just poor*, so they should be able to go anywhere, do anything. 

But often, it’s the result of drug and/or mental issues. And no amount of free healthcare is going to fix a lot of those.

Not to mention hygiene. And the loss of local business. Who wants to shop somewhere there’s a chance of stepping on a needle? I have yet to see a pro-homeless person who was willing to support people dropping a deuce on the sidewalk.

Heck, apparently there are homeless people who move to San Fran to live off taxpayer money.

And then we come back to shoplifters. Loads of people who steal stuff not because of hunger, but because of permissive crime policies  that more or less decriminalize petty theft.

It’s not need.

It’s because they can get away with it.

*Which is, implicitly, someone else’s fault.

A reference to the Øresund Bridge.

A connection between Denmark and Sweden which is part bridge, part tunnel... The reason for the tunnel was apparently because a bridge would interferer with air-traffic from the nearby Copenhagen Airport. (Referred to as Kastrup because that's the official name of the airport.)

(It wasn't suggested by a Norwegian btw... I just included Norway to have a neutral third party)

Yes. I am still part of the Polandball fandom. ANYWAYS! Art of Tuvaluball melting, it's vaguely inspired by the fact that they're at risk of sinking because of rising sea levels. To be honest, I didn't really know what I was going for here.

It's kind of like a mix of falling into the abyss and ascending to a higher plane of existence.

Feliksball: The Spaghetti Western

Hey guys! I’m here to contribute a Polandball redraw to @wildwestaliaweek ! This is for the the free day! Yes, I know I’m late.

Looking at all the genuinely educational, high-effort posts, I’m a bit sad I can only contribute such a silly thing, but maybe next year. I also wanted to draw more from the Pierogi Western contest, but it turns out many of the jokes don’t translate well. I might try again next year though. Or maybe I might try drawing one of the other comics anyway this year, even though I’m late.
