The Batfam’s Pokémon Teams

Considering that I’ve already done the Justice League’s Pokémon teams and their enemies’ Pokémon teams, I thought to might as well give the batfam their teams. But since I already did Batman on the Justice League list, he will not be on the list.

---

Alfred Pennyworth

Indeedee (Male)- Alfred is most famously known as Batman's Butler, so giving him a butler pokemon would be both useful and helpful.

Leavanny- His day-to-day duties as the butler of Batman, Alfred is always repairing some type of clothing for the Batfam.

Drampa- It is commonly joked around in the community that Alfred is the one person in the batfam you do no want to mess around with. Drampa are known for their kind nature that comes with a destructive outcome if enraged or needing to protect the children it cares for which reflects Alfred a great deal.

Blissey- Another representative of Alfred's caring side.

Polteagheist- He's british and likes tea.

Inteleon- Alfred has a history in the military and being one of the few batfamily members to actually utilize a gun. Him having an Inteleon seemed like a No-Brainer to me.

Many of Alfred's pokemon were chosen simply because they could be found in Galar, which is the Pokemon equivalent of England. The exception of course being Leavanny, but it is still a fitting pokemon for him to have.

Nightwing

Hitmontop- This is a reference to Dick's beginnings as an acrobat in Haley's Circus. I can see this pokemon being one of Dick's first as he was given it when it was still a tyrogue.

Marowak- Both a nod to the fact that Dick is an orphan and how he covered for Batman.

Swellow- Visually speaking, Swellow slightly resembles Nightwing, especially if we're talking about his DCAU adaptation with the Mullet/Long Hair.

Rockruff- Yes, Haley is a shiny Rockruff with one leg.

Cyclizar- This was the last pokemon I had to come up with, and so my brain suddenly reminded me of Motor Cycle Monday from Teen Titans Go. Considering that Nightwing does use a motorcycle sometimes, this makes sense for him.

Greninja- A stealthy pokemon that relates to espionage in some way. Seems fitting for Nightwing during his time with Spyral during the New 52

I wanted to pay homage to everything well-known about Dick Grayson/Nightwing. With the exception of his bubble butt, his team references his time Haley's Circus, the fact he's an orphan and became batman, being Nightwing in General, and others.

Oracle/Batgirl

Swoobat- Considering her history of being used as just a love interest and not being regarded as an actual character, Barbara having a Swoobat felt like a decent choice.

Rotom- As Oracle, Barbara can hack and mess with enemy technology like how Rotom can infiltrate different machines.

Gardevoir- The reason I gave Barbara a gardevoir is sort of an edgy reason. Gardevoir's whole thing is that they are fiercely loyal to their trainers and will protect them at all cost. Now, what happened in the Killing Joke still happens in this universe, so that means that Bab's Gardevoir couldn't protect Babs. This would lead her Gardevour to become very depressed but overall determined to help her trainer more.

Mienshao- Barbara knows martial arts

Magnezone- Barbara is one of the most well-known (Idk if she was the first) person in the chair. So, her having a pokemon that can receive signals seems useful.

Venusaur- If you saw my Legion of Doom post, then you can recall that I gave Joker Toxicroak because of his adaptation in The Batman tv series. My choice in giving Babs a Venusaur is based on her relationship with Poison Ivy in that series. Not saying thats exactly the case in my HC universe however.

While some of the choices felt off even for me, overall I'm satisfied with what I did for Batgirl's pokemon team.

Red Hood

Old Team

Primeape- Many who think of Jason as Robin remember him as being angry and very impulsive, and while that isn't entirely true, this pokemon does reflect that side of him.

Fletchinder- The evolved form of the robin pokemon to represent Jason's intimidating side.

Snicket- Jason's Post-Crisis reintroduction showed him as a car tire thief of crime alley.

Cubone- A nod to how Jason was initially just a clone of Dick Grayson (in terms of character, not a literal genetic clone) and how it was his desire for his mother's love that got him killed.

Zorua- Although reflective of Jason's older-self, Zorua's tricky nature of disguising itself to hide from others is a good way to show what Jason would end up like.

Snubbul- Another representative of Jason's personality, many see him as a tough guy, but really he's just a sweet guy with attachment issues.

New Team

Annihilape- After the accident, Jason's Primeape would evolve into Annihilape. Annihilape reflects how the lazarus pit drove Jason mad upon his own revival.

Staraptor- An edgy bird pokemon that likes to be alone it does reflect Jason's isolating tendencies whenever he gets into fights with bruce.

Alolan Marowak- Since Batman and Nightwing both have Marowak, Jason holding having his Marowak post-accident is reflective of this. While his "Alolan" Marowak only became this way due to the Lazarus Pit, it still has the reasons for becoming one. Jason also possesses spiritual abilities thanks to his resurrection, and Alolan Marowak reflects that the best.

Hiusian Zoroark- According to the lore, Zoroark came back to life out of spite. While Jason had no choice in the matter, first being resurrected by one of Superboy Prime's reality-altering punches and then having his memories return thanks to the lazarus pit, if Jason could come back to life out of spite, he would.

Doublade- A reference to the All-Blades, Jason's Doublade is a meta-pokemon that has a new move Blight Slash and a new ability called All-Good. Blight Slash is a physical steel-type move that does super effective damage on dark type pokemon. All-Good resists the effects of any dark type move.

Hydreigon- For a while before the New 52, Jason was considered a complete villain against the batfam. Hydreigon's brutish nature is meant to reflect that.

The reason why I gave Jason two teams is because the explosion that killed him would also kill some of his pokemon.

Red Robin/Robin/Drake/whatever Tim goes by now

Talonflame- Talonflame is the most visually similar to Tim's uniform as Red Robin (I'm refering to the times he uses the Black and Red costumes of course)

Farfetch'd- A reference to the time he went by the Drake

Vikavolt- Tim is often regarding as the tech wizard Robin out of the five that have taken the title. This is also a reference to how Tim "died" by a bunch of drones firing at him.

Pancham- Given that Tim has many alternate versions of himself that are evil, Pancham reflects that given that it evolves into a dark type that needs the help of another dark type to evolve.

Komala- Tim is often given this headcanon that he is constantly sleep deprived and needs coffee. And while there is no coffee pokemon, there is a pokemon that is constantly tired.

Reuniclus- The time when Tim tried to clone Superboy to bring him back.

I will admit, I struggled with Tim's team. I wanted to give him a pokemon that represented his bisexuality, but none really fit.

Spoiler/Batgirl

Clodsire- You're going to look at me and tell me that Spoiler wouldn't own a Clodsire? It has her color scheme and everything (most of her color scheme anyways)

Swoobat- Steph was first introduced as a possible love interest for Tim Drake. She

Talonflame- A reference to her time as Robin.

Pikachu- This feels like a pokemon Steph would have

Espeon- Spoiler's whole gimmick is that she investigates a villain's scheme and then spoils it to the public. Espeon's ability to predict enemy attacks helps reflect this. Also gives her a counterpart to her bff, Cassandra Cain aka Orphan/Batgirl

Goodra- Goodras are silly and affectionate, and Steph is often portrayed so as well.

Most of these pokemon were easy to come up with.

Orphan/Batgirl

Banette- Banette is the most visually similar to Cassandra's costume

Noivern- Given that Noivern is the best looking Bat pokemon (fight me), it would be dumb not to give it to the best-looking batfam member

Sneasler- Given her ninja skills, Sneasler feels like a fitting option. And if you feel that isn't a good idea since Sneasler are probably extinct in the pokemon world, how do you know they're not in the shadows?

Umbreon- a representation of both Cassandra's nightly activities as well as her character arc.

Kommo-o- A representation of her time with the league of shadows.

Most of Cassandra's pokemon are reflections of herself like the other pokemon teams.

Robin (Damian)

Alolan Meowth- A reference to Alfred the Cat, Alolan Meowth was specifically chosen because of its...demanding nature and how it takes a close bond to make it stronger (or evolve it)

Noivern- A reference to Goliath, Damian's Noivern is a meta-pokemon with red fur and scales along with an extra set of wingless arms. It has the ability "Brutal Beast" which causes moves like Outrage to do 1.5x more damage.

Miltank- A reference to batcow.

Pawniard- Being that he was raised in the league of assassins, Damian would of course own a pokemon connected to

Fletchinder- He's Robin, of course he has a Robin Pokemon.

Lucario- A reference to Titus and how Damian grew close to him.

Damian's pokemon team was pretty simple given that he has his own collection of animals from his adventures of being Robin.

Batwoman

Gliscor- While a member of the bat family, Batwoman doesn't tend to follow the rules such as no-killing and no-guns. Yes I know Jason doesn't follow this rule either but still.

Bisharp- Given her military background, a Bisharp would reflect this. It would also hold an Eviolite.

Sawk- Batwoman has lots of martial artist training

I gave Kate a smaller team as she would rely on her guns more often. Also because I struggled to come up with anything else.

Catwoman

Meowscarada- While she is no magician, Catwoman is however quite elusive. Her having a Meowscarada as both her partner and starter pokemon felt fitting.

Persian- Selina Kyle in some continuities is the daughter of Carmine Falcone "The Roman". Persian is often seen by the side of the evil Giovanni, so the addition of this pokemon to Catwoman's roster felt fitting.

Sableye- Sableye reflects Catwoman's constant thievery of jewelry and such.

Lopunny- one of Catwoman's abilities is her athletic skill and she is often sexualized, so Lopunny is fitting for her.

Initially, I was going to give Selina a bunch of cat pokemon but then I felt that was too simple. She is more than just a Cat burglar after all.

The Signal

Midday Form Lycanroc- This pokemon was chosen because it prowls during the day just like Duke does.

Kilowattrel- Matches his color scheme

Gallade- One of Signal's power's is to see a little bit into the future by refracting light.

Same problem I had with Batwoman, couldn't come up with much.

Batman (Terry McGinnis)

Crobat- This one is obvious, but its because he's da Batman! (Or in this universe, he's Zubatman)

Toxtricity- This is why

Scrafty- Because of Terry's messy life, he picked pokemon that sort of reflect that attitude.

Revavroom- In Neo Gotham City, a new species of Revavroom started to appear because of all the advanced technology. Now Steel/Electric, Neo Gotham City Revavroom races through the place as it hunts prey. It has the ability Surge Surfer to help boosts its already high speed so that foes can never gain the advantage. This choice was of course because of the flying batmobile Terry has.

Marowak- Terry lost his dad in the first episode.

Incineroar- Terry has to fight through a level of imposter syndrome in Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. Incineroar reflects this through not being a fighting type but also having fighting type elements.

I've been thinking about it on and off for almost a month now, so!! Here's what I've considered:

Reigen:

- He'd definitely have a Psyduck. Despite the name, Psyduck is and has always been a pure water type.

- Nacli. Na is sodium. Salt splash. Comedy genius.

- Hypno. I think because of the pendulum

Ritsu:

- Kadabra. The spoon, but also because it's essentially a younger brother to Alakazam.

- Espeon, because Espeon isn't born a psychic type, like how Ritsu had to awaken his powers

- Shedinja. I'm gonna be completely honest, I don't have any valid reasons for this

Teruki:

- I'm super obsessed with the idea of him having an Alolan Exeggutor, for obvious reasons.

- Jolteon, probably because of the hair. Also when he does his air whips it reminds me of electricity :]

- Ralts. No idea why.

(I was so tempted to give him an all-Alola team of Exeggutor, Dugtrio, and Raichu but I felt it was kinda cheap)

Mob:

- Milcery. Milk. Again, comedy genius. Also, Milcery is just super cute and Mob would love cute Pokémon

- Espurr. Adorable, psychic, and it was my favorite Pokémon for a while

- Flabébé, because @/chainsaw-headache mentioned the flower that sprouts from Mob's head during the Mogami arc and I LOVED that idea :] also it kinda reminds me of A-Z from X & Y, which the Mogami arc reminds me of

(Unrelated, but during a car ride when I was twelve or thirteen, I encountered a shiny Flabébé and accidentally ohko'd it. Did I cry? Almost.)

Tome:

- Cleffa comes from space! It's a great fit for her (also the Clefairy line kinda reminds me of the aliens from MP100 for some reason)

- Elgyem/Beheeyem. iirc, they're linked to UFO crash sites within the lore of Pokémon

- I think she'd be super into searching for Deoxys tbh

Shou:

- Quilava, probably exclusively because of aesthetics.

- Victini. Tell me he doesn't look EXACTLY like Victini

- Ditto. I think he'd like Ditto. No explanations

Serizawa:

- Mimikyu. It seems evil, but it really isn't. It just needs people, like Serizawa.

- I get Flaafy vibes, honestly

- Skitty. I feel like he'd ADORE Skitty tbh

(Side note, why isn't there an umbrella Pokémon. As much as I love Klefki, an umbrella makes just as much sense, which is zero)

Tsubomi:

- Eevee, because everyone loves Eevee. It's popular, like Tsubomi.

- Swoobat, because I feel like she'd love it. It's cute.

- Deerling, just because I really love the idea

Honestly a lot of these are just vibes so feel free to provide better ones :]

A team for Sir Pentious from Hazbin Hotel, requested by Anonymous!

Exeggutor - Its cries are very noisy. This is because each of the three heads thinks about whatever it likes.

Copperajah - This Pokémon was brought to Paldea long ago by people from a faraway land. It's so strong that it can easily pull an airplane.

Ferroseed - It defends itself by launching spikes, but its aim isn't very good at first. Only after a lot of practice will it improve.

Hisuian Sliggoo - A creature given to melancholy. I suspect its metallic shell developed as a result of the mucus on its skin reacting with the iron in Hisui’s water.

Durant - They attack in groups, covering themselves in steel armor to protect themselves from Heatmor.

Dudunsparce - This Pokémon uses its hard tail to make its nest by boring holes into bedrock deep underground. The nest can reach lengths of over six miles.

Details:

First off, I think he’d suck at type diversity. He’d absolutely keep a team swept but like one or two types.

Obviously I needed an egg Pokemon, and Exeggutor’s goofy appearance, Psychic-Type, and multiple heads made it the one I chose. Copperajah is exceedingly proud, and used in construction and hauling. Ferroseed wildly launches attacks to defend itself but kind of sucks at it. Hisuian Sliggoo keeps the primarily Steel-Type theming, and is a melancholy, slimy Pokemon that hides in its shell to protect itself.

Durant covers itself in steel to protect itself from Heatmor when its Steel-Typing just makes it weaker to fire. I don’t know I thought that was funny. Dudunsparce was also a “funny pick” in that I think he would earnestly raise a Dunsparce and then defend the hell out of it when people make fun of it evolving into Dunsparce But Bigger.

When choosing Pokemon I’ve gone off aesthetics, personality, lore, but most importantly: vibes.

Neopolitan

Alcremie - it's the cream Pokémon and Neo's name is to do with ice cream. It's also a sweet Pokémon and Neo looks very sweet.

Ditto - the OG. The transformation Pokemon. To represent her semblance.

Zoroark - Also to represent her semblance, it's known as the illusion fox Pokemon. I reckon the Hisuian form works best aesthetically but hey ho

Pheromosa - incredibly speedy fighting Pokemon. Neo is hella quick and this Pokemon looks like it would be dainty and harmless like Neo, but nah ah, think again

Mimikyu - cute & creepy vibes, kinda like her

Hatterene - it's known as the SILENT Pokémon AND it's colour scheme is tri colour like Neo. She's perfect.

Pokemon Teams for Bells Hells

I just... I just really like pokemon and cr so instead of doing my homework I picked out teams for them. Rules were no legendaries and I didn't want any repeats among the teams. So, here we go.

Imogen: Alakazam for her telekinesis, Zebstrika because she's a horse girl and for the lightning, Musharna for her Dreams, Hatterene because of her whole witchy vibe plus her aversion to other people's emotions being Too Loud, Espeon because of her basic psychic powers, lastly Lunatone for the Ruidus stuff. She's had most of her Pokemon since she was a kid in Gelvaan. Her starter would be her Zebstrika which she raised from a Blitzle, but she would've gotten her Eevee when she was pretty young, too, and it would've evolved when she met Laudna and left town. Musharna has been with her since she first started having the dreams, and she caught her Hatterene as a Hattena who allowed itself to be caught since they were kind of kindred spirits who both hated other people's emotions in their head, and Lunatone has just kind of... been around for a while. She catches Alakazam later as she travels with Bells Hells.

Laudna: Banette for the puppet imagery, Trevenant for her form of dread, Spiritomb as Delilah's lingering presence, Mimikyu because she's supposed to be basically a copy of Vex, plus the way Mimikyu's disguise breaks reminds me of how Laudna dislocates all her joints, Umbreon mostly to fit with Imogen's Espeon but also for the Cool Goth Vibes, and lastly Vullaby as a Pate stand-in. Eevee would've been her starter, with the rest of her mon coming to her after she got Delilah'd except the Trevenant, which she would've caught after she was resurrected in Whitestone and has her moment with the Sun Tree.

Fearne: Dubwool because Goat---though I did struggle between this and Gogoat, Dubwool's fluff and cooler horns cinched it for me---Grimmsnarl for her Feywilde weirdness, Meowscarada for her rouge vibe plus for some druid stuff---Flower Trick is literally a perfect move for her---Scovillain for the grass/fire mon-Wildfire Druid nexus, plus it's the kind of weirdo pokemon Fearne would love, Pelipper for her shoebill wildshape, and Monferno as a Mister stand-in. Wooloo would've been her starter, though she would've gotten her Impidimp from Nana Morri pretty young, and she would've caught Mister as a Chimchar when she first took up her druidic ways. The rest she catches when she's with the Crownkeepers and Bells Hells.

Orym: Falinks because he's a soldier who works well in a team, Lucario because he's so empathetic and upstanding as a fighter, Lilligant because he's so dextrous and because of the flower, Breloom sort of as a way to pay homage to Seedling, since I think Breloom can stretch out its arms, but also just for the plant vibes, Sawsbuck as a sort of Ashari connection what with the seasons, but also because it's a normal type as well as grass to show he's just a guy, and Absol because of his bad luck and bonkers high perception. His starter would've been Shroomish, and he'd've gotten his Lilligant and Lucario when he became a Tempest Blade, the Sawsbuck as a Deerling when he left the Ashari for the first time, the Falinks when he was with the Crownkeepers, and the Absol came to him when he lost Will and Derrig.

Chetney: He was the hardest because I really wanted to give him more grass types for the woodworking vibe, but really only Shiftry fit. Then I gave him Smeargle because he's an artist, Lycanroc Midnight Form for his werewolf form, Zoroark because he can be invisible which is kind of like Zoroark's Illusion, and because it feels very roguey, Gengar because I wanted a ghost type for all his blood curses, and it seemed the best fit, and it can also be invisible, and Drampa because he old. He would've started catching pokemon when he was an adult, so he wouldn't've had a starter, but his first would be Smeargle, then Seedot which he would've raised into a Shiftry, then his Lycanroc would've come to him when he was bitten and he would've caught his Zoroark and Gengar as part of his bloodhunter training, and Drampa... honestly was more of a joke but I guess he would've caught it when he was with Bells Hells.

Fresh Cut Grass: First of all, Gholdengo looks a lot like him, so they get one, and then they get a Blissey and Indeedee (female) because of the healer thing, plus with Indeedee there's this whole service thing, plus both of them give me therapy vibes, Klinklang because he robot, Rotom Heat for his easy-bake oven, and Morpeko for their stress induced rage mode. Morpeko is the starter, then he catches Indeedee and Klinkwhen he's with Dancer, Blissey when they're with Ashton, Gholdengo starts as Gimmighoul in its roaming form, where it just has the one coin, and he gets it when he starts believing in the Changebringer, which evolves when they first talk to her, and Rotom Heat when he gets the oven installed.

Ashton: Obviously he's got an Obstagoon because they're punk as hell, then a Graveler for the barbarian made of rocks angle, a Gigalith for the crystal in his head, Tinkaton for the hammer plus the added bonus of him having a mon that kills Corviknights (big bird) when he's close to FCG (hates birds), Golurk because it has that crack on its chest which reminds me of Ashton's cracks, and finally Gallade because they're trying to be a fucking hero now. The starter is Geodude, which he receives from their father shortly before The Incident. He gets a Galarian Zigzagoon in the Greymoore State Home. Geodude evolves into Graveler when Ashton changes into his rocky form we know them as now. As a note, they caught a Pancham when he first started running with the Nobodies, which evolved into Pangoro as he got good at it. He obtained his Golurk after Milo put them back together, and caught the Tinkaton soon after. The Gigalith was a gift from Milo, a sort of 'sorry you lost all your friends in a really traumatic way but here's a Roggenrola I still like you' kind of thing. He switched the Pangoro out for a Gallade when he decided they were going to be some kind of hero now.

Bonus: Less detail I'm tired now and they're not core members, here we go.

Bertrand: Mr. Rhyme lol he old. He'd also have a Sirfetch'd.

Dorian: Swablu. I just think he'd have one can you imagine softboi Dorian with a Swablu? So cute! And he'd have an Altaria now that he's stronger. He'd also get an Audino for bard reasons.

Yu: I know I said no repeats and I did give Chetney a Zoroark but Yu breaks all the rules so they get a Zoroark. I honestly don't remember enough about Dusk to give them a serious pick.

Deanna: Comfey. She's a healer, plus can't you just imagine little Deanna with her little Comfey? I think she had it before she was resurrected, too, and the Comfey was waiting for her.

F.R.I.D.A: Okay so I was thinking Hisuian Decidueye because it's kind of roguey and ranged, but it's a bird, and FCG hates birds, and as they're in love, I don't think that would work. Then I thought maybe Mienshao, because I liked the fluid, dextrous fighting, but something wasn't clicking there. Then I thought maybe Darmanitan. I liked the idea of something used as an ancient defense. Pick your favorite of the three.

Prism: Mismagius for the wizard aesthetic, and then Corvisquire for Mother. Just imagine little Prism in the Shadowfell (or Shadow Realm, as Emily calls it) with a Misdreavus!

Deni$e: Liepard simply because I think she could fight with it or like just look super fucking fly walking down the street with it and Deni$e is all about the high feminine energy.

Bor'dor: Mabosstiff. He's endearing and he'll lie on the ground during a fight but he's also still dark type. He's waiting for the moment to strike. Okay I know Mabosstiff is supposed to be like a mob boss but he's also the only dark type dog that looks like he could pull off the Bor'dor heel turn. Also how could I not give him a dog?

The 40 x Pokemon

A post for @the-ravenclaw-werewolf ! I hope you like it!

I simply love her mass crossover fic, and it is one that has become something of an inspiration for me in terms of “Watching the series” fics. I haven’t started yet but I have a couple ideas in mind.

One of the things I love doing is giving anime characters pokemon teams and, to show my love for the story, I will be giving pokemon teams to each of the members of the 40!

Some guidelines, while I will do my best, some characters will likely have less than 6 pokemon, mainly due to lack of familiarity with some of the characters. Any Pokemon I pick will not only represent something for the character, but they are Pokemon I can actually picture them having if they were Pokemon trainers.

Right now, I have teams for four characters picked out, and if it gets positive reception, I will do more!

Now, without further ado, let’s get this started with….

1) Killua Zoldyck from Hunter x Hunter

His partner and ace is Pawmot. Not only is it an electric type, but it is also a healer with its signature move, Revival’s blessing, showcasing Killua’s innate, kind nature. Sylveon is here for similar reasons, and I made it shiny to represent Alluka in his life, who is canonically transfemale.

Absol is a Pokémon that is often misunderstood, just like Killua, and also can represent his past as an assassin. It doesn’t hurt that Absol has cat-like features and a similar color scheme to Killua.

Slurpuff is here due to Killua’s love of Chocorobos. I can totally see these two chowing down on some, lol.

Gholdengo may seem like an odd choice but Killua is often associated with his skateboard and Gholdengo is a surfer. Plus, I can see Killua being one of the few patient and determined enough to gather all 999 Gimmighoul coins to evolve his.

Finally, Manectric is totally a Killua pokemon. He also loves dogs and there was a bit of cut content of Killua once having a puppy when he was younger. Sadly, he ended up having to kill it because of his parents.

Mega Manectric is the thunderbolt pokemon and would be the perfect pokemon to be able to keep up with him in Godspeed.

2) Emma from Promised Neverland

Whenever I think of Emma, the first pokemon that comes to mind is Scorbunny. Athletic and fiery, I think it and Emma would be instant friends upon meeting and would help Emma survive her ordeals. It would be a Cinderace by the end of the manga.

Pikachu is also a Pokemon I can see with Emma. A fast, forest dweller and mascot, and it serves as nice common with Killua, who has a Pawmot (aka an evolved Pikachu clone).

Emma screams “dog person” and being the Badass Normal, she deserves a badass, normal dog pokemon. Stoutland would be not only a tracker but also a guard for the younger kids.

Gardevoir represents Emma’s unwavering kindness and empathy. I can see Emma raising it from a Ralts and fostering her with all the kindness in her heart. Gardevoir and Emma also have a tendency to be self sacrificial.

Grimmsnarl may seem like an odd choice, but just because Emma is a kind and compassionate girl doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a dark side. Grimmsnarl, being a dark and fairy type, is the perfect pokemon to represent both aspects of Emma’s character.

Finally, Lanturn. To be honest, I just think Lanturn fits Emma to a T, with both of them having a playful nature and serving as the heart of their teams.

3) Ciel Phantomhive:

Granbull is Ciel’s starter pokemon, and one that represents who he was before the incident and even who he is now. Ciel is a complicated character and both he and Granbull can be scary, but there is a softer side to them.

Dusknoir and Banette represent Ciel now. Dusknoir has one eye like Ciel, and is something of a grim reaper of the pokemon world, making it similar to Sebastian. Banette not only is a ghost pokemon known for its vengeful nature but it’s a toy, or rather a doll.

Larvitar just has bit Ciel vibes. It may evolve one day but I think it staying a Larvitar would be symbolic of Ciel as he is now. Cubone would have been another good choice but I think Larvitar fits better.

Finally, Hisuian Zorua and Plusle represent things that are spoilers but if you know, then you know. I will say that Plusle also connects Ciel with Killua and Emma.

4) Nagisa Shiota:

This team was terribly easy. Serperior and Seviper are here because of Nagisa’s association with snakes.

Weavile represents Nagisa’s talent for assassination and it is also a small and frail powerhouse.

Espeon is a Pokemon that represents Nagisa’s inner kindness and eventual path towards becoming a teacher. I can see Espeon helping Nagisa rally his troublesome students when he is older.

Roserade is a feminine looking pokemon that can be male, and also can fit on a team for one with a talent for assassination.

Finally, Mawile is a Pokémon that looks outwardly cute but has something terrifying about them. Mawile has their huge jaws and Nagisa has a natural bloodlust. It also has the capacity to mega evolve and become a true menace.

I had some usage with this team fighting the og Paldea friend group in Blueberry Academy, and I forgot how fun they can be. I think this was a pretty pleasing team as far as color palettes go, too.

A team for DJ Subatomic Supernova from No Straight Roads, requested by @terminatedapathy!

Metagross - Metagross has four brains in total. Combined, the four brains can breeze through difficult calculations faster than a supercomputer. This Pokémon can float in the air by tucking in its four legs.

Chatot - It keeps rhythm by flicking its tail feathers like a metronome. It also imitates human speech.

Lunatone - Lunatone was discovered at a location where a meteoroid fell. As a result, some people theorize that this Pokémon came from space. However, no one has been able to prove this theory so far.

Solrock - Solrock is a new species of Pokémon that is said to have fallen from space. It floats in the air and moves silently. In battle, this Pokémon releases intensely bright light.

Magnezone - Three units generate magnetism. There have been many mistaken reports of UFO sightings when Magnezone flies through the night sky.

Castform - It alters its form depending on the weather. Changes in the climate such as the temperature and humidity appear to affect its cellular structure.

Details:

Wanted to split this team between his time teaching, his performing, and his construction of the satellite. Metagross was an easy pick, while Chatot felt like a Pokemon that would be useful for a teacher. A dual alarm clock/note-keeping system.

Lunatone and Solrock were picked for performance, given they’re literally designed to look like the sun and moon and are Psychic-Type.

Magnezone was picked for its constant mentions of looking like a UFO and its magnetic abilities plus Electric-Type, while Castform learns basically every weather move and is good for tracking the weather overall.
