Is it bad to assume that in some of the pokemon game there's always someone in the game -> The player or one of the characters in the game are affected by trauma? Or in some cases are felt like Nintendo cuts them short and makes them seem weaker then they actually are
Because I noticed something when I was playing through all the pokemon games I owned...
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: We all know that Kieran is felt like he's being yelled short because in his game dialogue he wants to be strong enough to beat the player after the events of part one but he's been strong since the beginning! (I made a whole rant bout Kieran...) But also we have Arven who has trauma over Area Zero because frankly he almost died in there/ his pokemon was badly injured beyond any pokemon center help. Not to mention Arven was literally abandoned by his parents!
Pokemon Legends Arceus: The Mc had trauma since the very start, they got dropped into the past from Arceus for no reason besides to, in Arceus's words: Seek out all pokemon. Then we get to Volo's betrayal in the end game! And I won't lie and as soon as I saw his team and the piano I had to shut off my switch and didnt touch it for a week.... Also not to mentioned they basically became Hisui's little helper and never got anything in return as when the sky turns red that wasn't their fault and out of their control they got blamed as basically become outcasted! And then there was irony where the village were wary of outsiders but during the post game they're letting outsiders in.... like WTH?!!!!
Pokemon Sword and Shield: Oh my goodness this is the game that made me realize that they did some characters dirty... I mean Hop is our rival and the younger brother of the champion! Think about it now! He was living in Leon's shadow for his whole life so that probably drove him to beat him but he lost to the finals to the player! It felt so wrong during that battle to basically destroy Hop's dreams! Heck I even tried purposely losing to him but the game was like: Nope, you're fighting Leon and we dont care if you feel bad!
In my valid rant and conclusion I think I can say.... Pokemon likes having some form of trauma and selling characters short in some way or form....

𝒂𝒏 𝒊𝒄𝒚 𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓 (Hop x !Reader)
A/N, this fic is taken from my old Wattpad account  back from early 2020. This was my first fanfiction that I ever posted, sadly I’ve lost the login to that Wattpad account but luckily I kept all the fics on my google drive. Hope you enjoy :)
---
The sun was setting, a blanket of darkness slowly inched its way around the old and peaceful city. The chilly temperatures combined with the dark clouds predicted a soon to be arriving snowfall. Chichester’s streets, although being quite the bigger town, were quiet, the only commotion came from the stadium.
The only person being seen on the street was you, sitting outside the pokécenter. A rotom phone levitating in front of you, scrolling through social media.
“Zzr, cheer up (Y/N),” the little electric-ghost type tried to comfort its trainer. “It’zzz okay to loze from time to time.”
“I made a complete fool out of myself-” You sighed in defeat, “-on live television!” You continued, starting to feel a burning sensation behind your eyes, but nothing happened. You just sat there, looking at the timeline.
Rotom scrolled past countless posts of other gym challengers, the next one even more powerful than the last. They were all boasting about their recent victories or doing sponsorships. Your gaze fell down to the concrete path underneath the bench. Rotom stopped scrolling.
“What’s the point?” You sniffed, “I’m never gonna become as strong as the others-” your voice becoming small and throaty as you hid away your face, “-I should just give up.” Tears had started to make their way down your cheeks.
“Zztop with that nonzenze!” Rotom bussed, “You fought zo hard to earn your endorzzzement, everyone makez miztakez. You can’t juzt give up! Pluz you’ve made it zo far, zzrt!”
Rotom’s words went in one ear and out the other, “Who brings dragon-flying types to an ice type battle? Let me tell you-” You exclaimed in a fluster, “-an absolute nutter wanker! No one will ever resp-” You got quiet, gaze fastened onto Rotom. The screen was displaying a picture of two boys, they were each holding up a Ballonea stadium gym badge.
You wiped away the tears with the back of your hand. You sighed, looking at the photo. A light tint of pink started to appear on your cheeks. Maybe it was from the cold, or maybe it was because of the purple-haired boy displayed on the screen. “I wish I was as strong as him…” You uttered almost longingly looking down towards the turf again.
Ever since you’d first ran into each other during the opening ceremony in Motorstoke, you had felt something. You’d only been able to exchange some brief words before your tight schedules ripped them apart. Luckily you’d managed to get his league card before you parted. Pulling out the card from your pocket. Looking at it, the number 189 was written in a big bold font at the bottom left. To the right, a bit smaller was the name ‘Hop’ inscribed. You sighed again, getting lost in the forever frozen in time smile, trailing your thumb along his cheek.
A smile had crept up on your face, but the tears had started to fall again. Feeling like you'd let everyone down, your fans… your pokémon. Although you felt totally gutted, you couldn't let go of the smile. The smile from the card had projected itself onto you.
The feeling of something fluffy brushing up against your leg snapped you back into reality. Quickly putting back the card into your pocket. Looking down to investigate. You saw what looked like a grey-white land cloud pressing up against your leg.
"Dubwool, wait-" A voice was heard by the corner of the building. "-there you are!"
Your heart almost skipped a beat when the owner of the voice appeared in front of you.
"Dubwool return! I'm so sorry-" making eye contact, he stopped for a second and glanced at her form, "-did he cause any trouble?" The boy was calm as soft-spoken. Shifting his height to one leg, scratching the back of his neck. "You're (Y/N), right?"
You nodded, a bit surprised that he'd remembered your name.
"You might not remember me-" he continued, "-We met back in Motorstoke during the opening ceremony. I'm Hope." His smile was even brighter, almost blinding in person.
You started to feel your cheeks turn pink. He really did remember you, you didn't know why but it made you feel really warm inside. But everything fell apart at what he said next.
"I saw your battle with Melody, it was-"
You got a sinking feeling in your stomach, preparing for the inevitable ridicule that would ensue.
"-It was amazing!"
You slightly jerked back, surprised by Hop's words. "But I lost…" you silently replied.
Shifting over his weight onto the other leg, putting his hands in his pockets. Eyes sparkling with passion as he spoke. “So, what if you lost? You were-” He slightly nodded towards the empty space beside you on the bench, “-may I?” He asked,
“Yeah of course.” You replied scouting a bit to the side. Slightly turning your body towards the purple-haired boy as he sat down.
“-You were amazing!” He continued. “If it hadn’t been for Lapras, that Coalossal of yours would have swept through her entire team!”
“I guess…” You smiled, Hop’s encouraging words kinda just stuck with you. Making you feel a bit better about the loss.
“That’z what I told you, Zzrt,” Rotom quietly buzzed in your ear before buzzing back down into your pocket. You just ignored Rotom’s teasing.
Hop returned to speaking calmly as he confessed, “To be honest, I think that all of your battles are amazing-” He looked away to the side, avoiding eye contact. His ears tinted pink. “-You could say that I’m quite the fan…”
You were taken aback by Hop’s statement. Stunned, not knowing what to say. You’d had encounters with fans before, yes. But this was different, Hop was different.
“I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to creep you out!” Hop exclaimed in an almost panicked fluster. He’d taken your silence as you being uncomfortable. “... I should probably leave… It was nice meeting you.” He stood up preparing to leave.
The sight of Hop slowly starting to walk away, you were snapped out of your pondering state. You sprung up from the bench, “Hop, wait!” You uttered having taken a grip of his arm.
Hop slowly turned to look over his shoulder. A pleasantly surprised expression spread across his face. He’d turned, now fully facing you. Your difference in hight was prominent as you stood there. Hop was almost towering over you.
Your gaze fell onto the ground, you didn’t have the courage to look him in the eyes. “You see-” you gulped, “-I’m quite the big fan of yours too…”
In a heartbeat Hop’s surprised expression changed into a bright grin. The pink tint from his ears had started to emigrate down his cheeks. But he didn’t say anything. You just stood there, feeling each others warmth as the cold from the outside world tried to force itself upon them.
When suddenly a small white speck hit and melted on the bridge of your nose. Looking around there were dozens of icy specks singling down around the teens. Hop flinched as one landed on his neck. You giggled at his sudden reaction. Hop joined in the snicker.
The familiar sound emanating from the pokécenter reminded you that there was a world outside of your little bubble. You looked back over your shoulder towards the pokécenter.
“I should probably go and cheek on Coalossal and the gang,” you uttered looking back at Hop. “It was nice meeting you again.”
“The pleasure was mine.” Hop responded
With your hand on the door handle. You looked over your shoulder, seeing Hop make his way away from you. Something hit you. A sinking feeling. You couldn’t really pinpoint why, but the thought of never getting to see him again scared you more than death. Catching yourself off guard having started to slowly walk towards him. “Hop wait!” You shouted after him, breaking into a small jog in the light snowfall.
He stopped, looking back at her. A confused expression stapled across his face.
Gathering your thoughts. Rotom buzzed as you took a grip of your phone resting in your pocket. This was it, it was now or never. You let out a heavy sigh before speaking. “Could I get your number?” Your heart racing.
Hop’s face lit up with a pink tint. “Of course,” he responded. You handed over your phone and Hop started to type in his number.
Handing back her phone, they touched hands. Hop’s warmth spread throughout your entire body.
“Cya around,” Hop chimed with a wave.
“Cya”
Making your way back to the pokécenter. You had forgotten all about your loss at the Circhester stadium.
(Y/N) was in love.

pro-tip if you're playing one of the new pokemon games that forces the exp. share on you:
raise more than 6 pokemon
if you keep rotating additional team members in and out every couple levels, it'll help absorb some of the excess exp!

Heroic Sword and Valiant Shield (Pokemon SwSh/BNHA crossover au)
Pt. 1 - Agencies
(@insomniac-jay @calciumcryptid I am kissing your foreheads thank you for enabling me)
so there's A LOT of content for this so I'm gonna break it up into multiple posts so yea have fun
This one is about the main Hero Agencies aka gyms
The Agencies
Macros Cosmos
The biggest and most successful Hero Agency in all of off-brand Britain/Galar. Owns many subsidiary agencies and fund/run the best heroics support businesses in the country. The main agency can be found in Wyndon, the pride of Galar along with their privately funded heroics boarding school Microcosm University.
Founded by Rose Gulaab aka Macrocosm and his brother [Redacted] after the pair made waves in the hero world quickly after their graduation. Today, it is run by Macrocosm - although he's given up field work for the desk - and his Vice President Oleana Nerion.
Macros Cosmos has agencies in pretty much every major Galarian city/town, some notable ones being Tundra Agency in Circhester, StrongArm Agency in Stow On Side, or Great Gears Agency in Motostoke.
All those Agencies operate as any other agency would, with Head Heroes running the show, a handful of sidekicks, other supporting non-sidekick heroes and a fully operational business department. Only real difference being that Head Heroes will not get to hire their own business staff, and major operations have to be approved by the main Macros Cosmos staff in Wyndon or even Oleana and Macrocosm himself. Internships also have to be approved by the higher ups in Wyndon. But stuff like the Heroics staff and day to day business is all under the control of the Head Heroes.
Also, official funding comes completely from Macros Cosmos themselves, and Head Heroes have little control over how that main budget is spent. Head Heroes can still get direct donations from the people, dedicate their own salaries or any other money-making practice to gain money. Money gathered directly by the Agency themselves is completely under their control - Macros Cosmos gets no say in how that has to be spent.
Outside of direct Hero Agencies, Macros Cosmos also is the number one Sponsor of the revolutionary DynaBand technology being developed at Wishing Star Labs. Since the tech is still mostly in development, only the Head Heroes (and few select supporting non-sidekick heroes) have access to the tech. But, it's also mandatory for the Head Heroes to utilize during their work.
Subsidiary Hero Agencies
Macros Cosmos Turrfield Branch - Great Forest Agency
The least successful of the main Macros Cosmos branches, but that's only relative! Still a heavily powerful agency by all rights!
Due to being a lil country agency with not many flashy-quirked heroes, Macros Cosmos doesn't see this agency as worth the attention investment. They don't suffer in the funds department, but Macros Cosmos just doesn't really pay attention to them as much. This means that the Turrfield Branch has practically become it's own agency by now, but it sadly probably couldn't remain at such influence levels if it officially split off from Macros Cosmos.
This agency mostly operates out in the countryside, away from cities. This means that they don't see much action and usually end up sending their sidekicks out into mini-internships in Great Gears Agency to gain more combat experience.
This Agency also main specializes in Reconnaissance or Rescue heroics.
This agency, due to being unsupervised by Macros Cosmos, has a small council of maybe 4-5 Head Heroes that make decisions for the agency. The poster child/face of the agency is Gentle Giant (aka Milo Yarrow), a Rescue Hero that works best post-natural disaster or in big open spaces.
Macros Cosmos Hulbury Branch - Star Sailor Agency
A hot new face is championing this operation, and she has some changes to make! Water Lily (aka Nessa Rurina) has been studying and interning at Star Sailor Agencies since her high school days at Microcosm University and has taken control of the whole operation at the shockingly young age of 20.
Water Lily has been expressing interest in converting Star Sailor Agency from a normal Heroics Agency into an Idol Agency (agency officially specializing more in idol work and less in field work), but has been receiving push-back from the main Macros Cosmos, them insisting that Star Sailor Agency focus on Sea-Based common Heroics. They also use Water Lily's general inexperience in heroics as an excuse to keep a close on and heavily monitor her work (as both hero and agency head).
Currently, due to be located on a major Galarian port, Macros Cosmos prefers it if this agency focus on heroics on sea, like rescuing ships in storms or combating sea-based villains. They still employ your common land heroes, but the close proximity to Motostoke means that Hulburry can just "rent" a Great Gears Agency hero to take care of their problems instead of forcing more problems onto the new girl.
Like earlier said, Water Lily has recently gained Head Hero status at this agency, much to the chagrin of the more veteran heroes (and even sidekicks) employed there. She has been taking on part-time modeling jobs and sponsorships both to help gain money for the agency and for her own career, which has been getting her into some trouble with Macrocosm, who doesn't really approve of his Heroes seeking jobs outside of heroics.
Macros Cosmos Motostoke Branch - Great Gears Agency
Great Gears Agency had hit a rough patch a few years back, with some rumors flying about Macros Cosmos dropping GG Agency if it didn't get it's act together soon. It's had a come back since then, but the heroes working there are still stressed out about the agency going back under or losing popularity and harming their reputations. This has kind of caused the more popular heroes (and even sidekicks) to try and take as many jobs as possible to raise their reputations so that if anything goes wrong with the agency, their careers won't suffer too much. Sooo, not the healthiest working environment.
This agency is very traditional, with focuses on Spotlight and Health heroics (also a healthy section of rescue heroics to help out with damages post-battle). It also has the most traditional "power hierarchy" in place (which just so happens to be the most reminiscent of the usual bnha agency). The singular Head Hero makes most if not all decisions, a small handful of non-sidekick heroes, a much larger force of sidekicks and a small business/PR branch (very bare minimum since most PR and business is handled by Macros Cosmos).
Now, the current Head Hero of GG Agency is actually the same man who both caused it's decline AND brought it back from the brink. Noboru (aka Kabu Noboru) was once an Ambassador Hero from Japan (aside from diplomacy, he most focused on Special Operation Heroics). He got along very well with the old Head Hero of GG Agency and excelled in Galar, eventually accepting an offer from Macrocosm himself to stay in Galar and work full-time in Great Gears. What Noboru wasn't expecting was for the old Head Hero to be killed in a mission soon after, with his will asking for Noboru to step up and lead the agency should anything happen to him.
While being a highly experienced and well-respected hero, Noboru was in no way prepared to run a whole agency on short notice. It took all of his energy and experience (and Macrocosm and Oleana's patience) for him to claw his way back into relative success and not risk the careers of many talented heroes and sidekicks. It very much didn't help that days after Great Gears got it's feet back under itself, Noboru got himself absolutely destroyed by a high-profile villain and had to be forced out of action for almost a full year to recover.
Macros Cosmos Stow On Side Branch - StrongArm Agency
The agency most recently brought into Macros Cosmos, StrongArm is a very interesting case! Stow On Side, physically, is quite a small town, but that's because everything considered "Stow On Side" isn't just the city named Stow On Side, but also all the ruins/mountains that surround it, and even a ways up and down the western Galarian coast (since Fairy Forest Agency only really deals with affairs within the Grimmwood Tangle and Great Forest Agency is cut off from the coast by mountains)! So, that means StrongArm doesn't deal with many home attacks, and actually spends most of their resources actively hunting down villains hiding in the West!
Their propensity means that StrongArm specializes in Special Operation and Reconnaissance Heroics (with a few Neighborhood Heroes known to pop up every once in a while, but they're usually quickly overshadowed by Macros Cosmos supported StrongArm heroes). Their main goal is to hunt down and find villains based in the West and to take initiative and attack their hideouts, conducting frequent raids.
StrongArm is currently being led... oddly. Lionheart (aka Bea Saitou) is the face and main Head Hero of the Agency, fresh from graduation from Microcosm University. And when I say fresh, I mean fresh. She is 18. Behind the scenes, her mother and father run almost all important business and field matters. The most actual control Lionheart has over the operations are patrol routes, basically. But she's the face on all the posters and conducting all the interviews. The veteran members of the agency especially don't appreciate having to take orders from what they perceive to be a spoiled brat riding on Mommy and Daddy's coattails, but what other options do they have? StrongArm gives a lot of chances for villain fighting (good for upping individual rankings), Fairy Forest Agency is very selective and private and Bring The Storm! Agency isn't run by Macros Cosmos, making it a less reliable career investment.
Macros Cosmos Circhester Branch - Tundra Agency
Has a similar function to StrongArm agency. The whole mountain range North of Hammerlocke/Ballonela/Circhester and South of Wyndon is a part of Tundra Agency jurisdiction. Their new main missions are to hunt down villains that flee into the mountains and rescuing people lost in said mountains, so a focus on Rescue, Special Operations, and Reconnaissance Heroics. But, they're still a classic Spotlight Agency
Once upon a time, back in the day, Macros Cosmos Main Agency had control over all Galarian mountain ranges, causing Tundra to the stuck sandwiched in between Main Agency and Bring The Storm! leaving them with an incredibly small territory and low chance for action. That only changed very recently when Shell Shock (aka Gordie Makuwa) became one of Tundra's Head Heroes and fought for Circhester to gain control over the southern mountain range, leaving northern Galar to Main Agency. He succeeded and created and henceforth has led the Special Operations, Reconnaissance, and Rescue Units.
The other leader of Tundra Agency is the currently longest serving Macros Cosmos Subsidiary Agency Head Hero, Tundra (Aka Melony Makuwa)! She's kind of living what Forest Witch had back in that day - all girlboss moments. Has been Tundra Agency head hero since her late 20s, not even letting the birth of her new triplets get in her way of being the best hero she can be!
Due to the new changes being brought about Tundra's agency by her very own son, Tundra Agency has found themselves in a split of sorts between the Special Ops, Reconnaissance, Rescue and the Spotlight Heroics Units, causing a lot of tension between the mother and son and even the entire city.
Non Macros Cosmos Aligned Agencies
Yes, it's actually possible to survive in the Hero World without having to sell your soul to a Billionaire and his Mega Corporation (or one of their subsidaries), but it's extremely difficult. Only three agencies have ever risen out of the shadows to make a name for themselves, and one of them seems to be heading right back to where they came from - the dark alleys and reputation of Spikemuth. The success and survival of these rare independent agencies can all be traced back to their Head Heroes - Forest Witch of Fairy Forest Agency, Toso of Team Yell, and Harbinger of Bring The Storm! Agency.
Ballonlea - Fairy Forest Agency
Explanation of Agency and it's workings/history in this post.
Founded before Macrocosm was even born, Fairy Forest Agency has been run by a long line of grilbosses to protect the inhabitants of their secluded forest home! The most recent Head Hero - and current record holder for Longest Serving Pro Hero - to take up the mantel of matriarch is Forest Witch (aka Opal Poplar), a wise yet undecipherable woman with a fancy for anything pink.
Having been serving for well over 60 years by now, it's no secret that Macrocosm has been putting some not so subtle pressure on Forest Witch to finally name a predecessor and to step down and retire. Fortunately for all of us, Fairy Forest has been staunchly devoted to rivalling Macro Cosmos ever since the young whippersnapper started all his hubbub about DynaBands and Heroic Conglomerations - although it seems that the agencies title of "Macro Cosmos' main rival" has befallen another agency these days...
Although she hates to admit it, Forest Witch's rising age and declining health has been making an impact of the amount of actual field work she can perform these days, and with Fairy Forest Agency already being as secretive and isolated as it is, the drop in public appearance by their most well known hero has led to a drop in public awareness for the agency. Luckily, the rest of Ballonleo is incredibly loyal to their local agency, and in the unlikely possibility that Fairy Forest Agency falls out of the Galarian public eye for good, all the heroes that work there know they'll always have a place waiting for them in the deep dark woods.
Spikemuth - Team Yell
The most recent agency to make a name for themselves without the backing of Macro Cosmos, Team Yell was born from the spite and pride of a woman who felt that her home deserved better than what Macros Cosmos was giving them. Spikemuth is a small-poverty stricken city on the Galarian coast with a scarily high crime rate for a city of it's size. Because of it's poor local economy and close distance to Hammerlocke, Macrocosm didn't see the sense in investing in a whole new agency when Bring The Storm! Agency could just handle Spikemuth's problems. The issue is, Bring The Storm! Agency didn't have the jurisdiction or permission to extend their services outside of the legal territory of Hammerlocke without direct permission - permission Macrocosm was not keen on giving. Side lined and cast aside, Silvia Nezu decided to take things into her own hands.
She had already been running the closest thing Spikemuth had to any sort of crime prevention and/or protection agency, so rallying her volunteers, Silvia adopted the mantel Toso and founded Team Yell - a small team of what were essentially vigilantes dedicated to the protection of their city. Unfortunately, Vigilantism isn't very well regarded in Galar, but to the combined Delight and Frustration of Toso, acquiring the license to the founding and operation of a legal agency wasn't actually all the difficult when you're willing to step all over Macro Cosmos' toes.
For the past 15 years, Toso has been the figurehead of Team Yell, stubbornly and spitefully content to keep her agency's services confined to the walls of Spikemuth. Tragically, Macro Cosmos has a lot of influence and little patience for those who defy them, so Team Yell has obtained an incredibly harsh and misrepresentative reputation over the years, leaving Spikemuth in almost no better condition - aside from a drop in crime, I guess. Being unwilling to ask the struggling people of Spikemuth for assistance - and being too prideful to merge with the conglomeration - Toso doomed herself to stand by and watch her agency barely claw it's way out of the shadows, only to starve and slowly sink back under the surface. It's all they can do to keep their collective head above water these days.
Toso had once hoped new management from an already well established pro would help in lifting Team Yell and Spikemuth away from the brink, but she lost her chance 3 years ago.
Hammerlock - Bring The Storm! Agency
The number one most successful independent agency since forever! While being newer than Fairy Forest Agency, the combination of A Heavy Focus On PR, Being Located In Galar's Capital City, and Being a Joint "Spotlight on Idols" Agency gave Bring The Storm! a huge and rapid rise in popularity since it's founding.
These days, their success is being spearheaded by Harbinger (aka Raihan Kibana), the Great Dragon on Galar, second to none! (well, one...) He's insanely on top of his PR, practically a part of the department himself. Like Water Lily, he takes on many sponsorships and modeling opportunities outside of Bring The Storm!, but without Macrocosm breathing down his neck and PR being the backbone of Bring The Storm! he has found a significantly easier time breaking into that scene than she has. Harbinger also utilizes an incredibly well-constructed Heroic Persona and knows his way around a crowd. One could say he's a bit too eager to appear in front of a camera, but he's nothing if not a threat on the battelfield and no one can deny the good he's done for Hammerlock if not Galar as a whole. Raihan avoided the Microcosm Uni to Macro Cosmos pipeline by simply not attending. He attended for all of one year before attracting the attention of Bring The Storm! and happily accepting their offer for a scholarship to a private study program at Bring The Storm! Agency.
Bring The Storm! was built on quirks that make an impact, named after the founder's wife Weather Quirk. Bring The Storm! hosts many Quirk Workshops for heroic students and anyone else with a quirk license to partake in. It has notably also created, run, and sponsored many different quirk therapy programs for children and adults alike. And while PR and Idol work (which, due to Macro Cosmos, is once again restricted to all idol work can benefit Hammerlock only) is the structure of Bring The Storm!, traditional Spotlight work is still the foundation. The protection of Hammerlock is the agency's - and hero's - number one priority, with heavy PR coming in to make them unique and equal to Macro Cosmos. This independent and successful operation makes Bring The Storm! the number one competition towards Macro Cosmos, even their regional schools being bitter rivals - Hammerlock School For Heroics v. Microcosm Uni events always attract nationwide attention.

𝚊 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢 𝚗𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝 (Piers x !Reader)
A/N Woop woop, yet another of my lost Wattpad fics from around 2020! Enjoy :)
---
The smatter on the window only grew stronger by the minute. The clock read 1:15 am but you didn’t care. You just stood there leaning on the railing of the balcony. Looking out over Spikemuth’s now deserted streets. No one wanted to be caught outside in this weather.
The front door creaked open, the light from the hallway only slightly slipping through from behind the silhouette of Piers. He quietly tried to make his way through the apartment as to not wake you up. He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw you outside. Grabbing a blanket off of the couch he continued out towards you.
“Trouble sleeping?” He asked closing the balcony door behind him to not let the cold seep in. Proceeding to wrap the blanket around your back before leaning beside you.
With a tired and horse voice, you said “Woke up and you weren’t there,” shifting your balance you leaned into Piers’ shoulder. “So I decided to wait until you’d come back. Where were you?”
“Marnie called, ” Piers sighed “there was some trouble down at the gym, some drunk refused to leave and were just being overall violent. Her pokémon were exhausted from all the battling today...” He slightly chuckled, “Toxtricety and I had to show him the way out.”
You joined in on the laughter, "What exactly did you do?"
"Nothing!" Piers smiled and wrapped his arms around you.
You tilted your head to look him in the eyes, imitating his smile you said "For some reason, I don't believe you."
"And why in the world wouldn't you believe me?" He asked with another laugh.
"Yeah, why wouldn't I believe you when you tell me that you disposed of someone peacefully after they were being a nuisance to your sister." You said, "I mean, it's not like you care for her deeply. It's not like you got the entirety of team yell to back her during the gym challenge."
"Okay, okay…" Piers said, proceeding to rest his head on your shoulder, "...I might have gotten Toxtriciy to use Overdrive on him."
"PIERS!" You exclaimed freeing yourself from his grip. Holding on to the blanket swept around your shoulders you looked Piers in the eyes once more. "You can't just go around shocking people like that, it's dangerous. You could get arrested!"
"That's just some small details, that's not important now." He said brushing off the actual weight of the situation. As he reached out to touch your cheek you felt all of your worries just melt away. He smirked, “You look so cute when you worry about me.”
