New Pokémon Snap is realistic actually because I do see someone come from or go a different direction and have a decision point of which way to go and see slightly different flora and fauna as a result

Why not? Hunter headcanons, let's go! (TW mentions of blood, gore, death, bullying, etc)(holy shit that's a lot-)
Since he is a grimwalker that has a few affects on him. In the dark his eyes glow faintly blue, which he hates since it reminds him of Belos.
Another affect of being a grimwalker, since one of the ingredients to create one is Stonesleeper, Hunter's ears are very sensitive and ticklish. Willow loves to scratch him behind the ears, and it helps him sleep
Last grimwalker thing I'll address right now, his hair grows much faster than most. His canines are also a bit more prominent and large, causing a bit of a fanged look
He couldn't die, per se, unless the galderstone was directly damaged or all energy was drained from it too fast, such as using very powerful spells or bleeding so much it spent all its energy and had no time to recover
Hunter got hardly any sleep back as the golden guard as his only time with no duties was after hours, which was a very small time frame at night. And often times instead of sleeping he would research how to help Belos's curse, so at most he normally got 2-4 hours.
In addition, even after he ran away from the emperors coven and even in the human realm, he felt guilty for sleeping more than he used to, thinking of it as a waste of precious time.
He sleeps way better when with Willow or Luz
Hunter, after the events of Watching and Dreaming, went back to the human realm with Luz. He needed time to recover from everything, and went with Luz to help with repairs. After a couple years he returned back fully, staying with Darius. He considers himself both a Noceda and a Deamonne
He 100% got obsessed with video games in the human realm. His favorites were Zelda, especially BOTW and TOTK. He also loves animal crossing and pokemon sword. His favorite pokemon is Zacian.
Hunter hates eating in front of others. He has extreme food guilt and starves himself temporarily as a punishment to himself if he makes a mistake. This stems from the fact Belos would cut off his food if he messed up, as well as water.
When he upsets others he will often hide in the basement in a closet. Hunter feels removing himself is the best solution to most problems. Gus is the only one who really knows this, though Luz finds out later.
Panic attacks got more common after Hollow Mind, though he did have a few before then. Every time he would lock his door and curl up in a corner. He didn't want to show weakness.
After Hollow Mind he would have very strong reactions to certain triggers, and it only got worse as things continued. His eyes glowing was one of them, as well as when his hair got too long. Emperors guards also made him panic, worried they would take him back. Even Belos's name would make him start hyperventilating.
The scar across his cheek is from Belos, who got mad at him when he snapped at Belos from concern about the curse. He blamed himself fully.
The nick on his ear however, is from a particularly brutal training session. His ear was sliced almost in half, and it bled a lot but he kept fighting. He won.
Hunter has so many scars its hard to count. Some from Golden Guard training, which was vigorous and brutal. Others from taking hits for his friends in the final battles. There is one scar on his upper arm he got from tripping down a flight of stairs in the emperors palace. He isn't proud of that.
He feels guilty for letting Luz get a scar. He doesn't want anyone else to have to live with it like he does. He has a hard time not tearing up when he sees it.
Hunter went to school with Luz at her human school for the years he lived with her, saying he was a brother who had been in a boarding school before. He was very protective of Luz but ended up being a target for bullying as well.
Despite look tough to others he is very sensitive. He would sometimes come home with tears in his eyes from those bullies. Luz beat the shit out of them the very next day. Eventually they just stopped since Luz started fighting back
Hunter hates crying. He only really cries in front of Luz, but anyone else he finds it incredibly stupid and embarrassing. It's just a weakness he should hide is what he thinks. So he normally does. He had to back as the golden guard, so why not now?
Multiple times when training he almost died. One time his stomach got ripped open by a slitherbeast during the venture up the knee. That scar in particular he avoids looking at
Hunter is very strongly bonded with Luz. They act very much like true siblings, often annoying each other on purpose and wrestling, but both know when to stop and both are very comforting and protective of the other.
His connection with Vee is a bit less strong, but he did punch a bully hard enough to knock out a few teeth when they were messing with her. So that's something.
Hunter apologizes to Vee almost constantly for being one of the people to imprison her. He offers to have her punish him, which absolutely horrified her. They are chill now, and like to binge watch shows together
He 100% has a fursona which he is very proud of. Hunter would never admit it but he considers himself a furry. It's one of his ways to express himself, and Luz is very supportive of this, helping him design the fursona
At human school Hunter managed to get placed in the same grade as Luz, but he was older than everyone in the classes. He struggled a lot in math, but loved ELA and science. They took him out of class during social studies after he had a severe panic attack during class when the topic reminded him of the whole disaster with Belos
Hunter likes to draw in his free time, at first heavily picked up from Luz. But he eventually gained his own art style, which was a bit more sharp and edgy
He loves musicals and will always stay up to watch them even if everyone else already fell asleep.
Hunter likes rock music, but also enjoys most pop songs. He loves to dance along with Willow to love songs. He hates country music with a passion.
He considers Gus his closest friend. The two absolutely love having sleepovers in which they binge cosmic frontier and share about what's going on in the different dimensions.
Willow ends up asking Hunter out the day he moves back to the boiling isles. He ended up running away, feeling like he was being taunted and that it was some sort of illusion. Willow goes to find him, and he ends up accepting.
It takes him time to get used to dating Willow, but he is very affectionate. Willow loves picking him up.
As a younger kid, Belos was a bit more nice to him and would sometimes play around with him. This was purely to gain his trust, but Hunter still wonders if he ever really cared.
In his time during the human realm after everything he visits Darius like, every other day. They become very close
Hunter definitely has a sweet tooth
My hand hurts but that's all for now lol. Wanna here more headcanons for TOH? Tell me who you want next in the comments, thanks for reading!

little champion
it's me, crawling out of the fucking paldean crater after doing nothing but play pokemon scarlet for three days straight. (Finished the main story last night ehehehe)
so have some fluff because I cant not write Zhongli fluff.
Zhongli x Reader
No pokemon spoilers, Fluff, domestic as hell, Zhongli is an old man who doesnt understand viddy gaem but tries his best for his partner.
Tumblr media
You were so close, the final battle was in sight, just one more…just one.
You check over your party, your loyal companions, they’d fought so hard with you, for you, and you owed them so very much.
“Just one more, guys…” you whisper to them, checking each one over, making sure they were as healthy as could be, patching any wounds and filling empty bellies. “One more and it’s done, it’s over.”
You grit your teeth and make your way into the final room-
“Darling.” a familiar voice has your head snapping up from your game system. “It’s four in the morning…time for bed.”
Zhongli looks…sleepy, clad in nothing but a loose silk robe and a pair of loose sleep shorts as he leans in the doorway, long hair cascading down his back and over his shoulders as he eyes you, curled up on the couch, clutching your switch entirely too close to your face.
“But Liiiii-” you whine, turning the console towards him and pointing at the screen “I’m almost the Paldea champion!”
“I am sure the elite four champion can wait until you’ve slept, dearest.” He counters, shaking his head with a fond smile as he approaches, holding out his hand. You pout and hold the console close to your chest. “Come on now.”
“But…but-” you whine as he reaches forward and wrests the console from your hands “but I’m nearly done!!”
“You can still open your bag, love.” He chuckles as he does just that, saving the game, and then saving again for good measure. “The battle will still be here when you wake.”
“But I wanna do it noooooooooooooooow! I’m not tired!” your complaining goes unheard as he slides your switch back into it’s dock to charge before rounding on you, cooing quietly as he bends down to dig his arms beneath and pull you up into his chest.
“Your eyes look like a fourteen year old has had a little too much fun with the eyeshadow, darling. You. are. Tired.” He chuckles, carrying you from the living room, ignoring your disobedient wiggling.
“I’m not tired!” you repeat again with a huff, crossing your arms and jutting out your lower lip “you’re just lonely.”
“Yes, perhaps I am.” He admits as he kicks the door to the bedroom shut with his foot before settling into bed with you, hands slowly shimmying your sweater off; Li knew you well, knew that you preferred to sleep in just your underwear, and any clothing that did happen to remain on your person when you slumbered only served to make you uncomfortable. “You are an evil little creature, getting me so used to affectionate cuddling at night, only to vanish when the newest pokemon game comes out for days at a time.” Oh.
“Oh…sorry li.” you mumble, ceasing your resistance as he pulls you into his warm chest once again. “I just…I really like pokemon…”
Your boyfriend chuckles and presses a soft kiss to your temple “I know darling…I did not mean to upset you…I just missed you is all.”
You hum softly, nuzzling your head beneath his jaw, and you feel the tension in his shoulders slowly fade. For a man who knew barely anything about video games when you’d first met him, he’d certainly come leaps and bounds, and…to be fair this predicament was his fault, what exactly had he expected when he vanished friday morning only to return with the newest game, just for you?
“Love you, li.” ok…perhaps you were a little more tired than you’d care to admit, if the long, drawn out yawn was anything to go by.
Zhongli hums softly, one arm holding you close as he drinks in your familiar shape, scent and warmth, his other working in slow circles along your back, just the way he knew you liked it.
“I love you too, little champion.”
“Not yet ‘m not…”

The rescue (part 3)
The first to attack was the persian, scratching at circuit with its claws
circuit dodged swiftly, procceding to fire a point black thunderbolt.
The impact managed to paralyze the persian, but it seemed as though it barely recieved any damage from the attack. The difference in fighting expereince showed itself already
a nidoking fist collided with circuit's face, seinding him flying. Circuit barely managed to avoid colliding with some rocks fromt he knockback
It seemed that giovanni had no interest in a fair fight,
Why would he? He wanted victory after all
Small drops of water from the storm started falling by now
Just as, one by one, Giovanni liberated his small army of pokemon
Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Persian, kangaskhan, dugtrio, and rhyhorn
"this is hopeless" is all circuit could think at the task before him
Not only was he at a numbers disadvantage, he was at a type dissatvantage as well
several beam blasts fired from the mouths of some of the pokemon, as others went in for a physical assault
Circuit's only saving grace in the moment was his flying abilities, but even that wouldn't be anough to keep dodging forever if they were to along their ranged attacks well enough
And despite his best efforts, one hit
Circuit fell to the ground, but before he could land, Persian landed a slash on him, and pinned him to the ground. Then, Persian threw him to rhydon, why landed a stampede attack and then... Circuit stopped thinking too hard about it. He was getting beaten around, and for what?!?!?!
So that in 1000, 500, 200, 100 years or even less time his own mother would forget about him?!?! So that he could continue to hold his parents back from reaching their full potential?!! So that he could continue to be an annoyance to everyone in the house? Everyone in the server???
To everyone and everything he met?!?
How did... He even end up like this?
He thought and thought about that question... And remembered
A video played back on his head. It was of lane receiving her very own phone, for her birthday, years ago. She was 16 at the time, honestly, way too old for a first phone. But she didn't care, she loved it, and she loved her mom for it. The first thing she did with the phone was recieve the recording of her reaction on message by her mother. Then download it.
"how do I know this?" Circuit thought, as his body continued to get pummeled by the other pokemon
Another video. It was lane showing off the fact she had a phone to an online friend of hers. That friend was Elisa. And another video. Lane meeting Dominic for the first time. And another video, lane Elisa and Dominic at a mythical Pokemon convention, wearing those stupid sweaters they made
And another ... Of lane saying goodbye to her mother, for the last time
And then, circuit remembered... He was always there. Since years ago. Since even before that phone
On that DS. On those tablets.
He was always with lane for some reason.
But again... Why? Why did he end up with the boy who turned out to be a mew?
Was it a grand fate?
Or... Did he choose this somehow?
Another video plays. A newer one
It's filmed by elisa, it's of lane holding tight to circuit and bagel, as she cries after losing the eggs. A son comforting her mother. And....
Lane playing a game with circuit. Lane buying a vacuum machine and giving it to circuit to use in their room, Lane making (or trying to) make a website for circuit. But there were no videos. Only memories. Because not everything was on the Internet, not everything was uploaded by him or his mother. Not all of the love they shared, all of the moments that were theirs were out there in rotomblr, or gliscord, or anywhere else.
They were only theirs.
.....he knew why he was here
Circuit snapped back to reality, laying on the ground, his body quivering, as the rain poured over the battleflied. Giovanni had an umbrella (of course he did) and simply watched as his pokemon were beating a weak rotom to near death
"...why did you stop?" Asked circuit
"I simply didn't find it too fun to watch my pokemon beat what was just dead weight" giovanni said, in a confident but incredibly annoying tone
Although dead weight was right, given that Circuit struggled to move, his body sore from all the damage. How long had he been on his little journey of memories? how long had they been getting free hits on him for?
"Besides! I wanted you to be awake for the moment where you - and your mother's hope - is dashed off this planet!" Giovanni screamed out
"I will enjoy taking over this pathetic world after I take your mother, and her two 'partners'" he continued, mockingly
Circuit breathed in and out. He couldn't move, he couldn't fly, he couldn't fight
He was stupid and rushed in alone, and now, maybe the entire world could suffer the price
...a final memory
Circuit shakes in fear at being discovered by lane and her partners
He shakes in the corner of the room, and lane approaches slowly
She asks something
"hey... Want us to take care of you little one? I can be your mama if you want?"
Circuit is taken aback. All this time he's known this kid, he never thought she could be so... Responsible.
"yeah... Thank you. Mother"
Lane and circuit hug
And the video ends
As all of Giovanni's Pokemon fire their attacks simultaneously, circuit remembers the words his mother always told him
"I love you, my son"
An eruption of psychic and electric energy explodes out from where circuit once was
His body changes, his energy becoming erratic, taking on a different shape. It forms around him, resembling mew like ears, and a tail of lighting grows from below him
The storm flares up even louder, as lighting falls around the island
"what the hell?!" Giovanni screams, as the energy pushes him back.
Looking over once the eruption dies down, a mew-like rotom floats in the air, a sly, devious, gremlin smile on his face
"I guess it's time I show you" circuit roars with all his might
"What the son of mew is capable of!"

Hi ! I hope you are fine !
Do you still doing Match-Ups ?
If so, can you do one for me please ? :) I would like a romantic Match-Up for Saint Seiya The Lost Canvas (men characters) :)
First of all, I am sorry if I made mistakes in English, because I am French !
So, for the description : I am a Sun Cancer, Moon Scorpio, Rising Virgo and INFJ (4W5) girl.
I’m average height (160 cm), I have long wavy brown hair with a fringe haircut and green eyes.
I am really shy, introverted, I lack self-confidence and I often depreciate myself. I am also hypersensitive and very touchy. I have a depressed side and I suffer from anxiety.
I have a lot of empathy and compassion and I am modest. I am a dedicated, faithful, persevering, perfectionist, honest and passionate person. I know I am a little too polite with others.
I am hardworking and dedicated a lot of time to my studies (in preparatory class and Japanese).
I love and I am passionate about a looooot of things ! Like Japan, Egypt, old Scandinavia, animals (I am passionate about wolves),fantasy worlds, writing, reading books, mangas and watching animes and movies, and playing video games (almost only Pokemon). I love art, mythology, esotericism (I love playing with Oracles, Tarots, Runes and learn about paganism), ancient history, listening to music (I listen to a lot of music everyday), and going out to visit museums, castles, cultural places, and walk in forests or beaches, etc. I love drawing but I am not talented at all. (and I love many other things XD).
I love a lot of languages (I learned Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, English and Latin and want to learn Norwegian).
I try to be the most supportive I can with my friends but I don’t confess easily what I feel or think, and I don’t talk a lot in a group (sometimes not at all). If someone hurts me, even unintentionally I can’t tell it to the person. I am resentful but don’t show it, so people don’t know if they hurted me or not.
I suffered from school harassment and because of this I always want to please everyone and I find it hard to say “no”.
I have never been in a relationship but I think I am a romantic, affectionate and attentive person and dedicated to my loved one. But I know I constantly need reassurance because of my lack of self-confidence. I am not a tactile person but I think I can be very tactile with a partner.
I hope I gave enough information, and thanks in advance ! (sorry if it's too long ! )
Take care ! :)
It was the perfect amount! Yes I still do match-ups and thanks for the request!
I match you with Gemini Defteros!!!
He is a very patient person when it comes to you. He will do everything and anything in his power to make you feel the best about yourself. He loves to kiss your forehead when you feel down and will always smile for you. He has a certain smile that is only reserved for you and you alone. He snaps at people that hurt you whether it's intentional or not. He hates to see you sad and will knock someone out if you ever cry because of it. Defteros is the type of person that will scream, “I love you!” At the top of his lungs to make the whole town know how much he loves you. He isn’t a shy person about this either.
He is a cuddle guy and will beg you to come and cuddle with him. He’s a gentle soul and will do anything to make sure that you are smiling every second of every day. Defteros is such a goof when it comes to making you laugh. He will do the dumbest shit just to hear you laugh. Your laugh brightens his day and he looks forward to seeing it every day. When you come home after trying to please people that have hurt you in any way, that man is gonna needed to be chained down because he is about to fight them. All in all, Defteros is the man that is willing to be with you through bad and good. He’s yours, and you are his.

Note
please post your among us spop fic 🥺
I mean, it doesn't have a true ending and I mostly wrote it 2 years ago, so I'm sure the game's changed since then lol. It'll be a little like Felwood Fling being pretty vanilla WoW :p
But you know I can't say no to you boo.
Oh no. Was almost the only thought in Adora’s head as the game started, boldly proclaiming her and Perfuma as imposters. But it almost didn’t have time to form, barely a line on her passive anxiety sonar as she was hit by her next horrifying thought. I don’t know how to play this game.
Adora was not a gamer. Not really. Not unless solitaire and that one pokemon game where you took photos that she’d obsessively rented from Blockbuster’s when she was 7 counted, and she had a sinking suspicion they did not. She had no survival instincts. She had no fall back knowledge. She was pure dead weight to be dragged along.
“Sorry Perfuma,” she whispered to herself, still not convinced she’d properly muted herself, “and thank you for being nice.”
She bumbled along, following her fellow cold blooded killer as best she could before the doors slammed shut separating them. This was already, officially, Not Good. She was already a liability and a burden and now she was locked in completely useless! Adora whined as she stayed the course, and ended up in decontamination where she couldn’t seem to open the door. Could imposters not open doors!? Oh no!
DEAD BODY REPORTED
Adora fumbled her mic and managed to slip in before anyone started debating, “How do you open doors? I’m trapped at decontamination.” and prayed that it was not just an imposter thing.
“Bae…”Glimmer sighed heavily. “Did you watch any of the videos I sent?”
“You sent videos!?” Adora whined. “I didn’t see any videos! I’m not prepared!”
“Okay, anyone want to hear about a dead body?” Catra asked. “Cuz, you know, I found a dead body over here in medical.”
Adora kind of lost the thread of the conversation after that as she desperately used her phone to try and look up instructions for how to play, because apparently what Glimmer had written her didn’t cover everything.
To be fair, Adora probably should have questioned “wasd/arrows and mouse, it’s pretty self explanatory” a lot more than she did. Damn her trusting and gullible nature!
Her eyes snapped back up as the screen changed to what, for a split second, she thought was a pride flag before realizing it was lava. No one was ejected though, so that was good. Wait. No, the opposite of that. She was rooting for their deaths, right.
Uh, go team Perfuma because Adora was pretty useless right now.
The game started up again. She stared at the closed door again. No one had answered her question. Adora groaned in frustration. God. Damn it!
Okay okay okay! No need to panic! She had, uh...Adora looked at her buttons “Kill” with a countdown and “Sabotage”. Did she have to kill before that countdown ran out? Oh no! She was gonna make Perfuma lose when she’d done so well that first round!
And then the door opened right as her timer ran out. Adora flailed, smacking the button and stared in horror down at Scorpia’s body.
So.
That’s what it was like to kill.
She felt a little nauseous and hit the report button, only to realize she’d never muted so at least that hadn’t bit her in the ass. The debate screen came up and Adora panicked a little as she realized she had no idea what to say. Play it cool! Fake it till you make it! “Uh, okay finally figured out the doors NO THANKS TO YOU ALL, and Scorpia is out here. Dead.”
“Who else was there?” Catra asked.
“No one, why would you ask it like that? D-do YOU have something you want to confess Catra?” What was she doing? Throwing off the scent. Or outing herself. She was such a bad actor, why did she agree to play this game!?
“...excuse me? I’m in security! Nowhere near decon.”
“Weird,” Adora squinted at her screen, “how’d you know it was decontamination when I haven’t said where it was?”
“You literally said that’s where you were last time and that you just figured out the doors dummy.” But Catra’s completely true and fair observation was ignored.
“Hmmmm, trying to blame it on the baby huh? That’s sus Catra.” Glimmer added.
And then it was all chaos.
“I didn’t do it! I wasn’t even over there!”
“You have no problem turning on your friends I see.”
“THAT IS THIS GAME OH MY GOD!?”
“You’re usually not this sloppy.”
“That’s cold Catra.”
“ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME, DON’T YOU DARE!”
But it was too late. Adora watched feeling sick as a little cheery rainbow of death marked Catra.
“Oh I hope you assholes lose!” Catra hissed her final words as they threw her into the lava.
Not that there was an animation showing them throwing her. Adora was just assuming they all surrounded her in a creepy ritualistic style and then threw her into the lava pit. She fumbled for her microphone and wheezed. Why had she blamed Catra!? Catra was never, ever, ever going to forgive that when it would be revealed that Adora was an imposter. She’d barely gotten her friend back but was going to lose her over a video game murder! Okay, well, like, it wasn’t half as dramatic as she’d just made it out to be. Catra was prickly and defensive so sometimes they didn’t talk for like the worst week of Adora’s life every time before she’d be mysteriously forgiven. She fervently hoped it would only be one week and not two, two week fights were the literal worst!
Adora trotted along the hallway before opening the sabotage menu. With a curious hum she selected the reactor and then jumped as a deep blaring klaxon went off in the game. Oh. Oh no, she was going to kill all of them! Did she and Perfuma need to survive? Or at least one of them survive!? Surely they had to have superiors they needed to report back to. It really was a shame she had no idea where the reactor was, but Adora knew that Perfuma would handle it like a pro if need be. As such, she decided to not go back to decon, and instead went down straight into another set of closed doors.
“Seriously!?”
Then noticed a little button that said “Use” and felt like a total idiot.
Several minutes passed with her running around unsure what she was supposed to be doing or at least pretending to be doing because where the hell were tasks even located? There was nothing on her screen to show them and she was supposed to pretend to do them right?
DEAD BODY REPORTED
Adora stared in shock as the triple homicide was revealed. “Oh shit, get some Perfuma.”
“I found the body- oh wow.” Perfuma said with a pause. “Well okay then. I found a body by the telescope, and I saw Bow leaving the area.”
“I was doing my tasks!”
“Walk us through it,” Perfuma said encouragingly and for the first time ever Adora realized she should probably be a lot more scared by her friend than she was.
“Okay, so I was doing wires, and then I went and checked the cams. After that I was going past medical-”
“Hang on, medical is on the other side of the map!” Glimmer gasped. “Bow? How could you?”
“I- wait- I meant- I didn’t do it! ...unless I did? Guys, can you blackout during a videogame? Oh no. What if I did do it?”
Frosta voted immediately and Adora jumped on the bandwagon and hoped they were both dogpiling him.
“Where were the other bodies?” Perfuma asked but it was too late as the chat became unintelligible yelling.
Bow was thrown with only slightly more ceremony into the lava.
Adora was still exploring the map to learn locations when the urge to kill struck again. This time she was feeling confident. She hadn’t lost the game when the timer on her kill button ran out, there was no one really around, and even if they caught her surely Perfuma could still win it alone. It was a case of the wrong place at the wrong time as she took out Frosta feeling equally guilty and awesome- before she realized that Mermista was standing right there. Oops.
Adora reported and in what she hoped was her best acting voice exclaimed, “Mermista how could you!?”
“...are you serious? Guys, Adora just killed Frosta in front of me.”
“Oh! OH!” Adora huffed, brain buffering in a lie. “Trying to pin it on me? I saw you do it!”
Shit.
“Where are you?” Glimmer asked.
“At the tree thingy in the hallway.” Adora reported dutifully as she sweated bullets. “The location where Mermista just committed a murder in cold blood. A child murder.”
Mermista groaned in pain. “Oh my gooooood, guys. We know Adora can’t lie. She is lying. Right now. What were you doing here then huh?”
There was way too long of a pause because she had no idea what the hell you did at the tree thingy before Adora hesitantly offered, “Have you considered...that she deserved it?”
And somehow, people did not start voting.
“Okay well I’ve been with Perfuma this whole round so I can vett her,” Glimmer said, like a fool as she kicked off just a regular debrief of the round instead of kicking Adora directly in the face to send her to the deadly lava pit of OSHA violations.
“I just came up here to learn where things are and then: dead child.” Adora added, because she might be a bad liar but she wasn’t a chump.
Perfuma hummed, “Yes me and Glimmer were together, and we’re at security.”
“Uhm, and I literally just saw Adora kill Frosta here at O2.” Mermista grumbled.
“Sea Hawk and I were together,” Entrapta said, “but then we got separated at the admin offices.”
“Sea Hawk has been suspiciously quiet,” Perfuma added.
“I SAW MERMISTA KILL HER,” Adora all but shouted far too dramatically for the circumstances, “this is an open and closed case!”
“You know what?” Mermista asked, “Do it. Vote for me. I did it. We’re going to lose to Adora and I want nothing to do with it.”
In the last three seconds Mermista was selected as the next lava sacrifice, and Adora slumped in her chair. Oh god she was not cut out for this. Her heart was RACING and she was gonna hurl. Oh no. How did people enjoy this game!?
As the clock ticked on her nerves only got more and more shot, until suddenly the screen faded to a Victory screen with her and Perfuma.
“I do love killing lights,” Perfuma all but singsonged.
“How did that work?” Adora asked, “That shouldn’t have worked!”
“You traitor.” Catra hissed but was buried by Scorpia laughing.
“Oh wow, congrats on your first kill! Ah man, I shoulda known!”
“Thank you. Okay, question-”
“This is not the Adora hour,” Catra mumbled, clearly still butt hurt and wanting to move on.
“Alright, launching us back in now!”
Well that was too dang bad. “Hang on, I have a question!”
“Did you press play again?” Glimmer asked
“Guys-” Adora huffed.
“Seriously where is Sea Hawk?”
“Great job again, I cannot stress how well that first kill went!”
“Can we PLEASE just start again?”
“You are dead to me.”
“Whhhaaaaaatever.”
Glimmer managed to be heard above the the digital sound of too many people talking,“Who hasn’t hit play again? Adora, you pressed play again right?”
“HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW TO PRESS THAT IF I WANTED TO PLAY AGAIN?”
There was a long pause as Adora sighed and pressed the button.
“Wow,” Catra drawled. “Baby much?”
“Fine! Fine! I'm the baby! Wah wah wah!” Adora hissed, “Now will someone answer baby’s question!?”
“What’s up buddy?” Perfuma asked, as if she had not just killed the vast majority of their friends.
“How do you know where tasks are?”
“OH MY GOD!”
“Baaaaaeeeee…”
“It’s highlighted when you’re just a regular joe.” Bow answered, barely audible over the general moaning of their friends.
“Thank you!” Adora grabbed her notebook and jotted the info down with the rest of her notes. “Now how do I do that and not the panic inducing killing thing?”
“It’s randomized, but don’t worry,” Entrapta all but cheered, “you shouldn’t get picked twice in a row!”
“Is Sea Hawk seriously just AFK?” Catra asked.
“Boot him.” Mermista confirmed and away he went.
It took a few more minutes for everyone to actually settle into the spaceship but then they were starting and Adora grinned widely as she waited for it to kick into gear.
This time I’ll be a normal person and learn to play the game! Adora wiggled a little in her seat, only to be met with the imposter screen showing her and Glimmer. No!
“Oh this is gonna be a long session.” Adora groaned as she vowed to actually stick to Glimmer this time.
Only to discover that Catra was sticking to her. Adora tested within the ship, where Glimmer stood watching like a Queen deciding on which court jester she’d keep, but Catra just stuck to her like a shadow. Oh no. Oh shit that was bad. Adora ran her character in a little circle of anxiety. She was going to learn from Glimmer but if Catra was there she wasn’t going to learn anything!
As soon as the three of them were alone, Glimmer killed Catra by the starting ship and Adora ran to keep up with her.
Okay, or that could happen. Wow. Vicious. Catra’s gonna be pissed to die so quickly again. Okay, but she can’t be mad at me for Glimmer killing her right? Adora gulped. Absolutely she could.
Before she could spiral any further, Glimmer did a few cute little circles as if to say, “Good job murder buddy!” Which weirdly did help.
It was almost hilarious how easy it was to stick with Glimmer, considering every time the two of them had a third in a secluded area Glimmer killed them if she could, and if she didn’t do it Adora sucked it up and killed instead. The body count was piling up when Scorpia finally found a someone.
And revealed the six other dead.
“Wow, we are getting our butts kicked,” Frosta grumbled.
“You mean you’re getting sloppy!” Adora didn’t know why the hell she blurted that out but she did. Shoot! “I’ve been with Glimmer this whole time and we’ve just been doing tasks. So it has to be you two.”
It sounded so wooden to her ears, but Scorpia gasped anyway. “Frosta, how could you?”
“What!?”
Adora sat back miserably as she started another argument between her friends. Oh this was her last round of the day. This game was horrifying. She panic voted for Frosta as soon as she could and saw Glimmer, and then Scorpia, voted as well.
Three for Frosta. One for Scorpia.
The Victory screen played.
“ARE YOU KIDDING ME?” Catra yelled at her from across town. “ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME RIGHT FRICKING NOW!?”
Adora winced. Catra was, ironically, the one person she knew who cursed less when she was mad. Oh god, she was in so much trouble.
“I didn’t do it!” Adora whined.
“YOU ABSOLUTE JERK!”
“Caaaaaatra I didn’t do anything!”
“Ouch,” Mermista sighed, “murdering me counts as doing nothing.”
“That was last round, I’m talking about a freaking murder this last round! AT THE START! I’m being targeted!!”
“Guys I can’t do any more, I need a break!” Adora whimpered pathetically.
“Oh yeah?” Catra asked, pure acid dripping from each syllable. “Well I need to murder you violently but we don’t all get what we want dumbface!”
Oh god, she was in SO much trouble!

Pokemon Games Story Tier Ranking
S Tier - Genuinely well-crafted narratives with superb character development and themes.
Apparently the series reaches this peak every other generation. It first happened in Gen V with Black/White, which combined the previous distinct “win badges and enter the Pokemon League to become the Champion” and “Stop the local villainous team from wreaking havoc” plotlines into one epic story about the player character discovering themselves to be a hero of legend destined to fight an opposing hero over the fate of the world. Gen VII brought us Sun/Moon and Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon, two different tellings of the same story that on their own hold some major weaknesses but when combined make for the tale of the most fleshed out region and cast of characters in the game series to date. And now in Gen IX we have Scarlet/Violet, an open world game that allows you to shape the narrative in the way you see fit but with that narrative always being a poignant, fascinating and emotional experience.
A Tier - The narratives can be shaky, but still give you plenty to engage with and think about.
After Diamond/Pearl suffered from too many cooks in the kitchen turning out an undercooked narrative, Platinum fine-tunes everything and produces a compelling story about a cult using the reality of the Sinnoh region’s myths to attempt to destroy and recreate the entire universe, only for the universe to bite back hard. Black 2/White 2′s story was a noticeable step down from its predecessor, but still continued its themes and character development while further expanding the Unova region. Pokemon Masters’ writing is sharp and makes great usage of the franchise’s history. And Legends: Arceus tells a story in a formulaic and repetitive way, but said story is a fun, fascinating and even highly emotional at times one so it all balances out.
B Tier - Nothing groundbreaking, but with something extra from the usual Pokemon fare.
Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness have notably darker, edgier and harder stories than is usual for this franchise as does Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky, the three Rangers games show a much different side of the Pokemon world than the usual competitive battling-oriented locales, Conquest is a unique crossover with the Nobunaga’s Ambition tactical series and gave us the series in feudal Japan style long before Legends: Arceus, and Detective Pikachu is an episodic mystery game with a concept and story that was even deemed strong enough to provide the basis for a major Hollywood blockbuster.
C Tier - The usual Pokemon fare. Not the best in the realm of video games, but not the worst.
Gold/Silver/Crystal, Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, Diamond/Pearl, and all of their remakes qualify here, as do the other Mystery Dungeon games (particularly the originals and their remake; the other two are just pale imitators of the Explorers story). You get a significant degree of plot, character development and themes in all of them, but overall it’s not the main focus.
D Tier - Huh? Plot? Character development? Surely you jest; we’re only here to have fun!
It’s not surprise that the original Red/Blue/Yellow and their remakes: their story is the very definition of Excuse Plot and not shy about being so. Puzzle League, based directly off the anime series, is also given an Excuse Plot, as are the Snap games, particularly the first one. Sword/Shield are a bizarre outlier here: there is technically some plot and some character development going on in this story, but the game does everything in its power to block you off from it at almost every turn, with your gameplay experience being prioritized by force. The only reason it’s not at E Tier is because the postgame and DLC expansions gave it some greater narrative heft, which is certainly more than you can say about the actual E Tier game.
E Tier - This is a bad story and you should feel bad for putting it out in this sorry state.
X/Y’s story is an absolute mess. It doesn’t know whether it wants to be a standard C Tier narrative, a D Tier narrative as a deliberate way to harken back to Gen I, or do something epic and say something significant like an A or S tier narrative. As such, the story is so messily and underwhelmingly presented to us that it doesn’t reach any of those standards. The lack of a Z version to potentially iron everything out the way that Platinum did for Diamond/Pearl hurts it even further. This was the lowest point in the series, narrative-wise.

🎶✨when u get this, list 5 songs u like to listen to, publish. then, send this ask to 10 of your favorite followers (positivity is cool)🎶✨
❤️❤️ okay for this one I picked ost music to shape stuff up even more, I'll include links because it'd be easier for ya'll to find for yourself that way if you're interested!
The Twisted Wonderland Chapter 4 cooking rhythmic theme. It's so specific I know but that song became a meme between me and my friend, it's catchy as hell and it's probably the reason why that's the rhythm level I play the most lmao. This video best describes my feelings towards it.
Primal Dialga's theme in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time and Darkness (also Sky.) One of my favorite boss fight themes. It feels me with so much emotion, and when that beat drops too!!! aaaaAAA-- Please check out the Mystery Dungeon series it's great. Here's the extended version of the theme.
Silence Glaive/Sailor Saturn's theme from Sailor Moon Crystal. The instrumentals are so good I could die. It's even more powerful if you watch the scene where she transforms. Peak cinema. Here's the theme.
One Big Video Game from Invader Zim. IZ has such a unique soundtrack, I love the industrial feel of all of their music but this one is my favorite not just because it's sick as hell, but because it comes from my fave episode and I can recite exactly what every character says during certain points in the song like a crazy person lmao. Here's the song.
A Gap in Time from Yugioh Zexal. Not me finding yet another way to talk about the genius of this song when I could have picked something else I really like, like Haruto's theme, Crossing Thoughts, Prelude to Destruction, and other fantastic music from this series. A Gap in Time is the musical embodiment of rising anxiety and mental snapping. I really feel like I'm going to lose it listening to this theme and I love it for that. I can practically hear Vector's manipulating monologue over it! Here's the song.

Pokemon X Project Eleven
Happy Pokemon Day Everyone!  This is a little fanfiction I had whipped up last night to for the artwork that I will be releasing today!  I hope you enjoy it!  On that day, the empyrean came into one of the new board rooms that Aethereal Queen finished renovating. But the empyrean were a bit busy themselves. Or on the levels of being busy. Selena was too busy working on her new curriculum. Erika was too busy playing the horror game Dead by Daylight. Chelsea was painting a landscape for fun. Blair was taking a nap. Cherie was designing a new wardrobe for the collection. Bae creating spreadsheets. Rebecca was taking a nap. Still, they all came together and waited outside the newly renovated war room. Selena blankly stared at her team in confusion, “did anybody receive a text message about coming here?” “It’s obviously something important…” Bae said. “And I was having a good dream, too,” Rebecca groggily stated. “You’re just sleeping off the alcohol again…” Bae argued. “Nope, it’s Pokémon Day,” Erika said. “Pokémon what?” Bae wondered. “You know, Pokémon!” Erika repeated. “Don’t tell me you don’t know what Pokémon is! Everybody and their mother knows what it is!” Blair pointed out. “It’s a huge gaming franchise that has more money and popularity than any other franchise.” “Even Dat Madden?!” Rebecca challenged. “It’s John Madden football, and yes.” Selena corrected. Bae was a bit peeved by such childish things, “I don’t get it; you mean to tell me that she has pried us from important work--” “Making useless spreadsheets--” “They are not useless spreadsheets. Our Queen wanted these done by today this afternoon.” Bae announced. “And what were the spreadsheets,” even though Selena already knew what they were. “I had to categorize 1025 weird names and separate them into 12 different types. Most of them have two types while others have one.” Bae explained. Again, Selena just stared at her. “What?!” Bae snapped. Selena didn’t even bother waiting and opened the door to see a newly renovated war room… That came straight from a Pokémon video game. The room was colorful but had different emblems of types of Pokémon. Even had emblems of different teams and regions. They also had different maps of regions. They were bag chairs and several flatscreen TVs with the latest video gaming software. They were shocked to see such a renovation. Of course, this didn’t go well with Bae, “what in the world is this?!” “Yeah, how many game rooms does this make? Thirty?” Cheire chimed in while sipping on a cappuccino. “You do need to tell me she has torn down the UI War Room for this?” Bae complained. “Yes!” Lycka’s voice said as she stepped out of the room. “I even built a bathroom in this place. With a nice little kitchen right across from the bathroom.” “That’s disgusting!” Bae said. “And besides, Bae, the UI War Room was moved to accommodate the augmented reality machine that you bought from Mordecai.” Lycka fibbed with a smile. “You cheap little rotter! How much did that cost you, a newborn baby?!” Blair accused. “You will thank me someday!” Bae defended. “Knowing that little pipsqueak, he probably gave you the outdated model and sold it three times over…” Selena bellowed. “Ladies, it’s okay. Everybody gets hustled once in our lives,” Lycka teased. “I don’t care, I got what I wanted…” Bae uttered while twirling her hair. “Now, onto pressing matters,” Lycka said as she got serious. Today, we bear witness that we want to be the very best that no one ever was. Today, we unlocked the power that is inside. Today, we celebrate our Pokémon Day!” She proudly announced. In the crowd went… silent. All because they’re still trying to process a Pokémon inspired room that is possibly going to affect spending and multiple R&D departments. Selena, being their leader, tried to see the softer side of things, “Well, that’s really good, your Majesty, but is this really necessary?” Lycka scowled at her, “Yes, it is Selena! This day means a lot to me. This franchise means a lot to me. Most importantly, this is the first thing that we have bonded together when he came into my life.” Selena already knew the deep connection between her and the franchise and along with herself. It’s just that when she got older, she didn’t really know how it positively affected Lycka. It was since then she became more hands-on with not just the empyrean, but with the development of everyone in the Crux. “Okay…” Selena agreed. “But, what do you want us to do?” Lycka smiled as she nodded, “Good question! Bae, the spreadsheets!” “I didn’t know I was counting imaginary monsters all day… About their codenames for something more important…” Bae complained as she snapped her fingers. Then, a 75-inch screen TV turned on in the room, and it displayed the spreadsheet that Bae was working on. “So, as you all know, I had help putting this little spreadsheet together! And together, the eight of us are going to build our team of badass Pokémon!” Lycka announced while being giddy. The reaction was mixed. “Oi, I’m just going to say this out loud because I don’t want to hurt your feelings. But I have no idea what this game is!” Blair admitted. “No worries, this game is easy to play and easy to learn,” Lycka assured. “Let’s all sit down at our Pokémon war table, and I will go over the simple rules.” As the empyrean take their seats, something is interesting with the chairs and the seats. They were all color-coded with their own Crucis Sentinel emblems. About less than an hour later she gave a crash course about the franchise and the game in general. Fortunately, they have a grasp of the franchise, and most of them were actually intrigued by it. (Author’s note: if you don’t know the game Pokémon by now, just google it and read the rules about the game.) “Okay, any questions so far…” Lycka asked. Chelsea raised her hand, “do all of them actually say their names in a different language, like a Morse code? And if so, is it possible for the trainer to learn this code?” “See, this is why we never let you play video games, squeaky…” Blair criticizes. “It’s just out there for the world to see! Is that wrong?” Chelsea wondered. “Any other questions?” Lycka running out of patience. “Yeah, we got no questions. We were down for whatever!” Blair answered. “I’ve always felt like the empyrean have always been like the leaders of our community. Like we are literally the gym leaders of the Crux. So that’s what we’re going to be, gym leaders!” Lycka announced. “This is have to deal with a lot of training and math?” Cherie wondered. “The best thing about Pokémon is that you can be as meticulous or as lazy as you want to be! But yes, everything has a method.” Lycka answered. “There are actually 18 types to choose from, and there are over a thousand types of Pokémon I know for a fact that can fit your personality. I even preselected some that I might think will fit you like a glove. Selena, the Dragon type. Your majestic, you’re virtually indestructible, you’re also fierce. But you are also a rare beauty in a land of conventional.” Lycka explained as Selena blushed a little. “Erika, you are dark and mysterious. You also embraced the dark as your own and seek comfort in it. You are the dark type.” Erika was sitting through a straw as she lifted up her head and uttered, “I am the dark,” with murderous intent. It almost made Bae run out of the room, but Rebecca stopped her. “A couple of no-brainers. Chelsea is the fire type, and Blair is definitely the electric type.” Lycka making quick work. “Cherie is a steel type.” “Not my first choice, but I’ll take it!” Cheire accepts with a smile. “You’re both an Army brat and a fashionista. I know for a fact the steel type is going to fit you well. Just like Rebecca and the ground type. Underrated but very versatile.” Lycka said as Rebecca nodded. Lycka then glared at Bae, “normal type.” This made Rebecca laugh. “Wait a minute! The normal type is… Normal! Why did you choose normal?!” “Because you’re plainer than white coastal white rice with no salt and pepper! That’s what you are!” Lycka argued. This made Bae cry a bit, “Why can it be anything else? Everybody else has something. What about grass? I’m a gardener!” “All because you grow strains of marijuana in your room doesn’t make you a gardener…” Lycka said. “I KNEW IT!” Rebecca comically instigated. Bae was mortified as she heavily blushed, “I don’t smoke that anymore, your Majesty!” “Whoever said you smoked it? Besides, you should do more drugs. I will probably help you chill the fuck out,” Lycka said. “And besides, these are chosen in advance. Normal is a good type for you because you never handle anything extra. So if you want to choose other than normal, you can do that. But as I went down this list, you are afraid of bugs, you are afraid of ghosts, you can’t fight, you’re afraid of birds, you hate picking up heavy things like rocks…” “Fine, I’ll take the damn normal type!” Bae relented. Rebecca reached over and rubbed the small of Bae’s back, “Bae-love, this is a computer game. We are here to have fun.” “Easy for you to say. At least your type actually does something or has something in value!” Bae complained. “Anyway, I got you all something,” Lycka left the table and ran into one of the storage closets. Then, she pulled out eight boxes that had different names on the front of them. She even distributes them one by one, “Don’t open it yet!” As she was done distributing the boxes, the seven opened them to see custom-made Nintendo Switch with their signature colors, Crucis sentinels emblems on the docking station, and joy cons. “Oh, these are so pretty!” Cherie said. Selena examined the product, “This custom job is amazing.” She praised. “They even got my favorite shade of blue!” Chelsea praised. “I was going to buy one, but now I don’t have to. Thanks a bunch!” Blair obliged. “Awesome, now I have two. Trading will be a problem for me!” Erika said. “I guess you can now officially call me the legendary drunken Pokémon master of my time is finished,” Rebecca said with a laugh. Everyone was very excited and grateful for getting a brand-new custom-made Nintendo Switch. However… “Mine is just white…” Bae criticized. “It’s cream white, Bae. And your dock station is a mixture of cream white and sky-blue!” Rebecca pointed out. “I took the liberty of downloading the two games, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, that are in your Nintendo Switch game consoles,” Lycka said. “Okay, so… Would we do? Just play games?” Selena wondered. “Yes, we are a club!” Lycka said. “And besides, one of Xerxes’ kids is into this game as well.” She fibbed. “Ooh, is it who I think it is?” Erika cooed. “Yes, and this one will go by the name of Bowser-Kaga,” Lycka identified. This made Rebecca laugh out loud. “You do realize I am going to find out who this person is,” Cherie reminded. “I know you are, but keep a lid on it. This is supposed to be fun,” Lycka said. “But remember, you still have to work and train. So I suggest we do it as a weekly thing.” “Yes, ma’am,” they said in unison. “So, let us begin!” Lycka happily shouted. As time went on, the amazing eight would play this game together and come together to play this game. We got the week, and then it became month after month, and then one full year has passed. To say that the Aethereal Queen was impressed by their hard work was indeed an understatement.

//OOC
Hello!
I don't mind talking about myself. Feel free to DM as well if you just want to chat. But to get to how I ended up here:
I actually did not particularly grow up with the pokemon games. My parents didn't have us own any video game consoles, and I had a saturday school, so I only ever saw an episode or two of the dubbed anime, and played my first Pokemon game (Alpha Sapphire) by borrowing by boyfriend's gameboy in high school. I sort of picked up stuff from cultural osmosis, but it wasn't a Big Childhood Nostalgia thing for me. I would play more Pokemon games over the years (especially as my girlfriend (I'm polyam)) is a huge fan. I liked Sun&Moon and got really into Pokemon Masters for a time.
A huge thing about me is that when it comes to fantasy (which I've been a fan of all my life) I really like naturalistic perspectives. I like any fiction where mythical creatures are treated as something with an ecology and behaviors and environmental niche. I don't know if it's something to do with me identifying as a therian/otherkin, or is an unrelated coincidence. But as a kid it's why I liked the Spiderwick Chronicles and Fablehaven, and as I've grown older, continue to like games like Bugsnax.
So when the new Pokemon Snap came out it was nearly perfect. When playing other Pokemon games, I would always get a dopamine spike when discovering/catching a new mon, but I would always get tired of constant battles, especially with any grinding. A game with no battling, where I'm expected to observe Pokemon in their natural environments, was really enrapturing for me.
I would always look for more creature collector games, but often they were basically Pokemon. And in some of these searches I read about the Pokemon Ranger games, and was intrigued, but didn't have a way to play them.
Fast forward to earlier this year, when my gf mentioned she owned the ranger games and I was able to try them. I instantly fell in love with the world. I figured I would eventually hit a barrier where my skill level would make it too difficult to continue. But I didn't find myself getting bored/put off the way I did with battles. The philosophical concept of being a ranger was perfect for me. I liked the idea of my job being to protect pokemon and the environment. I didn't find the side quests annoying because I liked the idea of helping someone find their lost pet more than I liked the idea of battling a hiker for the tenth time. Even the things I imagine other players might find annoying (like not being able to keep a permanent team or take them out of a region) I liked. One, because it meant if I was solving a puzzle, the solution was within the space I was in and I didn't need to travel a lot to find some pokemon. And two, because it fit the philosophy of the game: as a ranger, you wouldn't want to introduce species to a non-native environment. And this is personal to me, but I do have a personal connection to spring as a season (related to otherkin stuff) so the setting of Fiore having a constantly temperate Spring-themed location with a nearby forest/prairie was like *chef's kiss* in terms of places I'd like to live.
Over the years, I had liked pokemon and the general world. But I struggled to see myself as a trainer or develop a trainersona of any kind. At best, I could imagine myself as a pokemon. Playing the first Pokemon ranger game really hit me in the "this is it. If I got to live in the Pokemon world, this is the kind of life I'd want to live/the kind of person I'd want to be".
I've since played Shadows of Almia (liked the easier capture mechanics, though I think having one partner per type, while helpful, takes away some from the partner development).
I'm now making my way though Guardian signs, but getting frustrared by the changed mechanics (I don't like that assists involve putting a pokemon on the screen and having the potential to miss, rather than just influencing the capture, and recharges take forever, and I don't like not being able to choose when my partner helps).

Job Hunting for Dummies - Season 01 - Episode 02
Episode 02 - "Punch" Out of Luck
Season 01 - Episode 02 - Punch Drunk
Location: The Boxing Stadium - Downtown Creation City
Date: May 16, 2019
Time: 10:00 PM
No POV
After the paper route job was a total bust thanks to Sonia's attempt to steal someone's TV, Y/n, Sonia and Tailsko are at a boxing ring as Tailsko has another job for them, only this time Y/n is going up in the ring to a boxing match against Mike Tyson. Luckily for Y/n, he was giving some boxing lesson from Peanut Butter as well as some other fighting lessons from his friends in other types of fighting style video games like Mortal Kombat and Street Fight, so this should be an easy boxing match for our hero.
Sonia: Wait, wha— wha— why did he agree to do this?
Tailsko: It's a big payday, Sonia. It's real simple, he just hang in there, and h— he'll be fine. Trust me.
Sonia: Look, look, I'm not feeling good about this. Is it too late for him to back out?
Y/n: Don't worry, Sonia. I can handle this. I've been taking boxing lessons from my friend's pokemon named Peanut Butter, so this should be a snap for me to box against the stadium's best boxer, Mike Tyson.
We zoom out to show Mike Tyson as Y/n put's on his boxing gloves and is ready to fight with the bell rang, starting the match.
Tailsko: Yes, that bell- Yeah, now it's too late for him to back out. Go get him, champ!
Y/n: Thanks for the motivation, Tails~!
Sonia: Yeah, thanks a lot, dickface.
Y/n: Alright, let's do this. (Dodges Tyson's punches and counter punches Mike Tyson)
Sonia: Wow, he's really doing it. I think he can take this guy!
Y/n punches him some more while dodging and blocking more of Mike Tyson's attacks.
Tailsko: Hey, that's great Sonia! Uh, just, uh, don't go let him crazy, okay? I, uh, kinda bet against him, so, uh, I need you to not let him lose this match, okay? I kinda betted out Y/n's life savings on this match.
Y/n: Wait, wait, you betted my life savings that I worked hard for against him?! (Mike Tyson punches Y/n, sending him backwards a bit while rings fly out of him) Ow, ow, oh, my face! Tails, grab those rings, I need them for laundry!
Tailsko: Ok, just be careful, ok? I don't want you ending up in a body cast. (Starts picking up Y/n's golden rings before they disappeared)
Y/n: Got it. Alright, Mike Tyson, prepare to get your light punched out! (Thinking) Good thing that Peanut Butter enhanced my durability to deal with strong punchs from this guy. Better make this quick before I lose all of my life savings.
Y/n then unleashed a power punch at Mike's jaw as the boxer got stunned and Y/n repetitively punches Mike Tyson until he is completely knocked out to win the match.
Mike Tyson: GAH! HOW...IS...THIS...KID...THAT...STRONG....WHY... ISN'T... ANY... ONE... STOPPING... THIS?!
Timeskip - The Next Day
After the boxing match, Y/n was declared the winner and won back his savings and earned a extra bonus as his winnings as we cut back to Y/n's apartment where Sonic is holding an ice pack onto Y/n's black eyes due to that punch that Mike Tyson gave him during the match.
Tailsko: Well, you took one hell of a fight back there, babe. But at least you still got your life savings back and earn some money left over from the last match, right?
Y/n: Yeah and I did go a little bit too far on beating Mike Tyson to a bloody pulp back there, but at least he's got insurance and in a body cast at the hospital.
Tailsko: You know what Sonia should do, head down to the Star Light Zone, pick herself up a boyfriend, get a little spin job, huh? She earned it.
Y/n: Are you sure you wanna do that, Sonia? That kind of job sounds a little too risky, even for me.
Sonia: Nah, I decided it's time to grow up, you know? So I took some of the money and made a little investment.
Tailsko: Hey, good for you, man!
Y/n: Yeah, that's real mature of you.
Sonia: Yeah, bought a sweet new frame for my poster.
The scene cut to show her Dominique Wilkins poster in a frame.
Sonia: That baby's gonna pay for itself in like 15—20 years.
Tailsko: You stupid fuck.
Y/n: Well, at least the frame only costs $5, and her rent is paid for this month, so we're good for now, I guess.

In your opinion, what is the best job there is?
The best job in the world is one where you can make the most money, learn new skills, and still have a healthy work-life balance. These are the three things that companies that review careers look at. The best job for you may depend on how you want to spend your time. Here are some of the best-paying jobs in the world.
Aside from a much-needed vacation, the best way to travel is with video games, at least if you like the Fox. There are a lot of online tools to help you get the most out of your gaming dollar, which is great. It's not a secret that the gaming world is very competitive. It's not easy to keep up with the competition. The best way to do this is to use a formal strategic planning strategy and make sure you have the right people, the right time, and the right place for your gaming needs.
Marketing for tourism is becoming more and more interested in travel video games. It lets potential tourists check out places before they go there in person, which makes it more likely that they will stay there.
Even though gaming is becoming more popular in tourism, not enough research has been done on how it can be used. Gamers aren't a big part of the tourist market, so it's hard for game developers to make games that are just for gamers who are traveling.
Through the lens of experience design, this paper looks at how a video game can tell gamers about a place. It focuses on five key experience pillars that might make gamers want to visit in-game locations: immersion, freedom, connection to the character, a sense of realism, and emotional experiences.
The authors used qualitative, in-depth interviews with experienced gamers of the action role-playing video game Assassin's Creed Odyssey to learn more about these pillars. People were asked to take part through social media and online gaming forums. They were asked to talk about how they felt about the game world and if they planned to go to Greece.
The travel and gaming industries are coming together more and more in a growing trend called "video game tourism." It can mean going to the places and doing the things that are in video games, or it can mean going on an adventure through different worlds in a video game.
Traveling in a video game can be a good thing for players a lot of the time. This kind of "travel" can help them relax and enjoy the scenery instead of getting stressed or overwhelmed by a difficult situation.
This can be especially helpful for travelers with self-isolation problems caused by the coronavirus. It can also be a great way to slow down and take in all the amazing design and detail that goes into making a video game world.
This study looks at how real-world factors affect in-game experiences. It finds that gaming experiences are made up of five pillars: a sense of realism, a level of immersion, freedom, connection to characters, and how the game world works. Using the video game Assassin's Creed Odyssey as a case study, it shows how video games could be used to market tourism and looks into the factors that may lead travelers to want to visit in-game locations.
Video games are a great way to pass the time, but they can also help you think better. Research shows that playing games can make you smarter and even help you live a healthier life.
Checking out some of the most popular games is a good place to start. This includes games like Pokémon Snap, where you can take photos of Pokemon in different settings. There are also many virtual reality experiences that are based on video games.
It can be expensive to go to a new place, and sometimes it's nice to be able to try something new without leaving your house. So, we're going to tell you about some of the best games that will make you feel like you're traveling the world. The most obvious choice is the Pokémon game I just mentioned, but if you want to do something more interactive and fun, try one of these other great games.

Every year my fiancé and I review what we watched, read, or played over the year. It's our little content catalogue, so I figured why not share some of the best things of 2022 we went though and if any of you are interested to go and check them out! Starting with movies, we watched a ton this year but these are probably my favorite 4 of the year: Everything Everywhere is a super unique movie that stands as my movie of the year. It does everything so well. RRR is a bombastic bollywood movie that depicts the greatest bromance I've ever seen. It's wild from start to finish and my runner up for the year. The Batman stands tall in an over-saturated genre of super hero movies. It has an artistic vision that feels lost in other super hero movies today. The Exorcist isn't new exactly but it's new to me and it really is as timeless as it has been. It's an interesting perspective dealing with the questioning of faith and what it can do to people.
Shows! No shock I watch mostly animated things and these are my top 4 among them: Morel Orel is just...so...difficult to describe. It's pure dark comedy but over the show's lifespan it evolves into a dark, deep character driven show about the roots of desire and sin. That and it has probably one of the most accurate depictions of an alcoholic abuser father I've ever seen. Primal. Pure art. Genndy, known for Samurai Jack and Powerpuff Girls, takes us to a pre-historic world with no voices. The show is carried by visuals and letting you feel every snapping stick in it's environment. While Orel is my show of the year, I can't stress enough how amazing Primal is too. Jojo in general. I finished Part 4, 5, and 6 this year but throughout ALL of Jojo, nothing beats Part 4. The small hometown with a small cast is just candy to me, but add in that strange Jojo sauce and MWAH. Love it. Don't Hug Me I'm Scared the TV show. You remember that web series from like 5 years ago? Well it got a show and it's just as dark and funny as before.
Video Gaming. I usually play the same games over and over so this year I made it my goal to only play new games to me. I did a pretty good job but didn't have as much time to play things as previous years, but here are my top 4: Yu-Gi-Oh. Guys, it's time to come clean. I'm an addict. This year I sunk so much time into yu-gi-oh. The physical game sure, but also Master Duel. This isn't my game of the year but I can't express the games I played this year without talking about my biggest time-sink... Chrono Trigger. It was my first time going through it and man I just love RPGs so much. It's perfect what do you want me to say? You either already know or haven't played it yet. Go play it. It's blows my mind what they were able to do on the SNES because some things in this game are better done here than in games TODAY. HOW!? Kirby and the Forgotten Land is just cute. It's Kirby. It's easy, simple, but sometimes a relaxing game is just as good as a hard as nails one. I just like vibing with Kirb and this is probably his best game in years. Pokemon Arceus was a crazy surprise. I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. Scarlet and Violet just came out and they're good but not as good as Arceus, which is weird, cause Arceus feels like a tech demo for Scarlet and Violet. Either way, this was a great time and throwing balls at monsters never felt as fun as it did here.
And that's my rant for things. Reading? I don't read enough tbh and I want to try to read more this year. I read One Piece like come on. Either way I'll disappear back into the void now and continue to make AND enjoy as much content as I can! Happy New Year!!

Bahamutgreen’s Favorite Games of 2022!
It’s that time again! Another Game of the Year list from your favorite video game enjoyer to round out the year! I honestly kind of feel like I didn’t play that much that was insanely earth shattering this year. While at the same time I literally played a game that reinstalled faith in the medium in my heart again. So I guess what I’m trying to say is that it was a little all of the place this year in terms of my thoughts and feelings on what I played. But I still want to take some time to highlight my favorites!
Just like last year, this will be divided into 2 lists: My favorite games I played this year that released BEFORE 2022, and my favorite games I played that released DURING 2022! So a favorite old games / new games list. Each has 5 entries and 5 runner ups. They’re not organized in any ranking between each list but each list does have a #1 winner!
TOP GAMES PLAYED IN 2022
Tumblr media
Pupperazzi (PC)
If you don’t know, I LOVE photography games. I’m a huge fan of taking pictures of video game environments within video games. So whenever I see a game where that’s the goal, I’m a little drawn to it. And so when I saw Pupperazzi on Game Pass I just had to try it. And I cannot describe just how happy this game made me. It’s super cute, super simple, and super relaxing. It’s a great time and it’s one of the few photography games I’ve played where you get rewards for not just focusing on the subject matter, and branching out a bit (something I wish Pokemon Snap did, for example.) It’s got easy controls, super cute graphics, it’s easy to pick up and play, and it has such a good OST. I loved this game I tried speedrunning it the night I 100% completed it! If that means anything.
Tumblr media
Breath of Death VII (PC)
Found myself played a good amount of Zeboyd Games’ catalogue this year. And I think I can safely say they’re easily one of my favorite indie devs out there at the moment! I love their RPGs, and it’s just nice to see traditional JRPG games get made at all nowadays (although we do seem to be in a BIG resurgence of them!) And this game was a total treat. It’s a very classic styled RPG, but it’s the Zeboyd Games touch that makes it worth playing nowadays. Small things and very unique approaches and ideas for combat that make it flow smoother and easier than typical old school RPGs. I’m also just VERY smitten with the world idea, a war torn post apocalypse where everyone is an undead/redead. This game has a ton of potential and I would LOVE to see a Breath of Death VIII come out eventually!
Tumblr media
Sonic 3 & Knuckles (Sega Genesis)
I know what you’re thinking: “You’ve beaten Sonic 3 before, don’t mess with me.” And you’d be partially right! I’ve actually never beaten the & Knuckles part of the game prior to this year. When I was a teen playing through the whole series I got totally walled by Sandopolis Zone and had to give up. But after Sonic 2 ended up becoming my favorite movie of all time (before Sonic 3 comes out of course) I had a huge itch to replay all the classic sonic games. And my takeaway from that? Sonic 3 & Knuckles is not only one of my favorite games I played this year, but it is without question the BEST classic Sonic game out there. And maybe one of my new favorite Sonic games. It’s got pains in it like lives and being old and stuff like that. But coming back to this and seeing it through to Doomsday Zone was so eye opening. There was such a natural evolution from this game to Adventure. Multiple player characters, a bigger story, larger set pieces, and a crazy Super Sonic final boss. It’s amazing, and it’s so cool to see the parts I ADORE about Sonic (big stories and crazy melodrama and set pieces) got their start on the Genesis.
Tumblr media
Kaze and the Wild Masks (PC)
Here’s a game that totally blindsided me! I had my eyes on it for a while, but I finally got to play it this year and MAN was this good! It looks great, feels great to play, has a great sound track, and is just a total treat through and through! I LOVED this game! If you haven’t played it yet, and you’re a fan of Donkey Kong Country, I cannot recommend it enough! You control Kaze and get to play through lots of really well made levels and sometimes even fool around with unique masks that have different abilities. This is another one I’d LOVE to see get a sequel of some kind in the future. I’m very close to 100% completing it (just need a few more achievements). And even though it was the first game I played this year, it hasn’t left my mind as one of the best.
And my favorite old game I played in 2022 was...
Tumblr media
Kingdom Hearts 2 (Playstation 2)
Last year Kingdom Hearts 1 managed to get onto the runner ups. But this time, nah I gotta give it up. Kingdom Hearts 2 was AWESOME! I like KH1, but KH2 has really cemented that I am a brand new obsessed Kingdom Hearts fan. Since playing this one I cannot stop thinking about it and I CANNOT wait to dive into the rest of the series. At first I thought it was a little too easy and meat headed, but no, I actually think it’s perfect. For starters, god it should never be as hard as KH1 or annoying as CoM. But also I think that meatheaded mashingness of it makes the game so good. It allows them to make every single fight a spectacle with absolutely crazy reaction commands and the moss bonkers final boss I’ve ever seen in my life! Kingdom Hearts is such a unique series and I absolutely think 2 is and will probably stay as my favorite. AMAZING visuals (huge upgrade in the already pretty good animation), fantastic music, massively improved gameplay, and all around huge polish has made this easily my favorite old game I got to experience in 2022.

THE RUNNER UPS
And here we go, these are 5 more games that I wasn’t necessarily completely changed by or anything, but I still thought were really solid games that I wanted to give a quick shout out to! As always, if you want you can check out my list of every game I played this year when it’s uploaded here.
-Final Fantasy 1 (PS1): This year I started my journey to play through the mainline games of 4 different RPG series (FF, Pokemon, DQ, and Tales). And surprisingly enough, I think FF1 was my favorite among the first entries. It’s rough, and has aged, even the PS port I played. But I loved it, another big win for the Final Fantasy series in my eyes.
-Halo: Combat Evolved (Xbox): Ah now this one may be a surprise to some of you! Did you know I’m a bit of a Halo fan? I’ve been playing the multiplayer since I was a small child. But I had never beaten any campaigns until this year when me and my little sister tackled Halo Combat Evolved. I loved it! It was a VERY impressive game with beautiful visuals and some fantastic set pieces I’m still thinking about. And the music? So good for no reason.
-Jak 3 (PS2): Hard to believe I finished the original trilogies for Sly, Jak, and Ratchet all this year! But here we are! After all is said and done, I think Jak has come out on top as my favorite of the 3. Mystic stuff? Check. Technology? Tech? Lore and ancient mysteries? Check. Edgy as FUCK? Check check check! I had a rough time with Jak 2 but I think Jak 3 managed to polish up everything wrong with it while keeping what was so charming about it’s drastic tonal shift. A strong finale to a cool trilogy.
-What the Golf? (Switch): I don’t like golf. It’s the most boring sport and it’s a horrible waste of land. Thankfully, if you’re like me, there’s a game for people like us! What the Golf is a game I played at the start of the year when I was INCREDIBLY sick, and it helped me get over that real quick. It’s so chaotic and goofy, but also weirdly comforting. Great ost, easy to play, and TONS of content to go through. The gift that keeps on giving.
-Sludge Life (PC): Living life on a polluted island might sound awful. And it is, but man Sludge Life manages to take the environment and world and make it so fun and relaxing. I love walking sims like this where you just explore and have a good time. Sludge Life is simple, but does have a goal with cute payoffs and multiple endings. And you can pee! I bought a shirt from this game! It’s really good I 100% completed it in a day!
As always there’s a TON of games that got left off. Buck Up and Drive!, Viola the Heroines Melody, there’s always so many games I play each year and I can never give each of them the time they deserve. I’ll move on now but PLEASE check out everything here if any of it catches your eye!
================================================
Top New Games from 2022:
Tumblr media
Splatoon 3 (Nintendo Switch)
Hey, Splatoon’s back! As I’m sure a lot of you know, I’m a bit of a Splatoon fan. I’ve been a fan since the very first one, and yeah the second one disappointed me a lot, but Octo Expansion was great. I was very hesitant about Splatoon 3, but I finally beat it on my birthday and I can safely say it’s the best in the series, easily. The story mode is REAL this time and not just a rehash of Splatoon 1 again. It feels great to play, Small Fry is a fantastic addition to the single player roster, there’s TONS to do, fantastic music, and one of my favorite final bosses from 2022! What a cool game!
Tumblr media
Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope (Nintendo Switch)
Mario RPGs are back!? In 2022 we had a genuinely cool as hell Mario RPG with genuinely good combat??? And we have the Rabbids to thank for it!? If you told me all this during the Wii U days I probably would have slapped you. But no, it’s true. Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is AWESOME! It’s not perfect, but it really does feel like the best brand new Mario RPG in years. Interesting combat, a cool villain, a brand new OC teammate (who is fucking awesome by the way), playable Peach and Bowser? It’s all SO good. And the game isn’t even done yet, I cannot wait for the DLC! I was utterly blown away by how much I enjoyed this one, it’s even better than the first by a wide margin in my opinion. Can’t wait to see what the rabbids bring us in the future!
Tumblr media
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin (Xbox One)
Now here’s a game... I was expecting this game to be kinda bad. I won’t lie. I’m not really a fan of Isekais so I just steered clear of it. But I was given it on my birthday, and considering I had just played FF1 for the first time. I had to try it. And I’m SO glad I gave it a fair shake. This game was AMAZING! Genuinely, I am not usually a fan of this kind of “souls-esc” gameplay. But I actually had a GREAT time with it here. I loved the graphics, music, characters, and the insanely over the top and edgy script. There were moments where I jumped out of my chair because they were saying so much cool shit! It was such an interesting take on the simple FF1 story as well. I had an absolute blast with this game, and I’m not joking when I tell you this may have single handedly restored my faith that AAA games can be good.
Tumblr media
Spark the Electric Jester 3 (PC)
You all saw it coming. How could I NOT include Spark the Electric Jester 3, the most anticipated indie game of all time according to 5/5 Bahamutgreens? I LOVED the first two games, they’re easily some of my favorite indies of all time. And in my opinion, Spark 3 just continues to make the series better and better! This is a fantastic end to the trilogy. With amazing gameplay, multiple ways to go through each level, tons to find and unlock, and a great story that’s really wild and takes a really crazy and drastic turn. I’m not sure what will become of the Spark series after this, but I am absolutely looking forward to anything the team puts out next!
====
And my Game of the Year for 2022 is...
====
Tumblr media
Sonic Frontiers (Xbox One)
You all knew it was gonna be my game of the year. Don’t lie. Let’s not pretend here. I’ve been really excited for this game for a while now. I was cautiously excited though, after Forces I was unsure how Frontiers would go. But man. Man oh man. Frontiers was AMAZING! This is EXACTLY what I was looking for in a new Sonic! Over the top visuals, cool gameplay, awesome lyrical music, and FOR SUPER SONIC TO BE INVOLVED FUCKING HELL STOP MAKING GAMES WITHOUT SUPER SONIC I’M SICK OF IT! The amazing boss battles, the fantastic open zone gameplay, the super cool animations for all the attacks, the crazy melodramatic story. It’s all here. It reminds me of why I fell in love with Sonic. It’s not perfect, but if we continue down this path of really caring about making Sonic cool. I think we’re on the road to a perfect game soon.
---
THE RUNNER UPS
-Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection (Xbox One): A collection of old games to start out the runner ups. I wasn’t going to include this originally but I felt the need to give it a shout out because it is a pretty amazing collection. 13 games, english and japanese versions of each, a handful of cheats built in for each, complete controller remapping for each one, and online play for some of them which is incredible. And on top of that the gallery comes with SO much junk like manuals, game boxes, design documents, it’s a BIG collection.
-Chocobo GP (Switch): This game, man... It had so much potential. By the end of its life (which is happening currently as I’m typing this) it was a genuinely solid and fun racing game. But when it launched, man. It was just not worth it. Microtransaction riddled mess. I admit I didn’t play it at the time, but it it what kept me from trying it out. It’s genuinely fun, has a lot of characters and customization, some good tracks, a cool ost. If it just hadn’t been a scam when it launched, and was released on multiple consoles (imagine making a scam and then only letting one user base take part in the scam lol) it could have been so much more. It’s sad.
-Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge (Xbox One): When this game was announced, I was pretty convinced this was gonna be a soulless cash grab. But uh... Actually. It fucking rocks? It’s SUPER good! This is easily the best TMNT beat em up, imo. It’s REALLY fun, looks AMAZING, has a GREAT ost, has tons of moves and options for the player, lots of levels, sidequests to do, and multiple characters. I had an absolute blast playing this and now I honestly really wish the team would continue making TMNT beat em ups for the other shows. I would FLIP out if we got a TMNT 2003 inspired one next. That cover of the intro might suck, but the game itself is golden.
-Dadish 3 (PC): Another Dadish game. What can I say? I love these games. They’re all simple but fun. Dadish 3 is, hands down, the hardest of the trilogy. It’s the only one I haven’t 100% completed because of it. But damn it’s still SUCH a good time. I had a total blast playing through it and I loved The Dolphin The Dolphin. What do you think are the chances Dadish 4 will be a 3D collectathon? Regardless, I will probably buy any Dadish game day one for the rest of my life.
-This Way Madness Lies (PC)
TWO ZEBOYD GAMES TITLES ON ONE GOTY LIST!? It’s more likely than you’d think. This is the latest RPG by the team and it is a BLAST! I had a great time with this RPG. It’s smaller and more streamlined than other RPGs, but honestly that’s not a bad thing at all. It still has all the Zeboyd charm, their incredibly unique concepts for RPG gameplay. It has GREAT combat, fun characters, good music and visuals, an interesting story. And it’s without question, the best Magical Girl JRPG inspired by Shakespeare!
================================================
And there you have it! That’s my selection of games from 2022! As always it’s a little difficult to play this many new games in a year. And it’s even more difficult to pick just a small selection of favorite games from the MASSIVE list of games I build up throughout a year. But there were a good few I played this year that I just KNEW had to be on the list. Kingdom Hearts 2, Stranger of Paradise, Sonic Frontiers, ect ect. In retrospect, it’s been a pretty good year for games. There’s been a lot of good stuff. And 2023 is only looking better. I cannot wait for the Fraymakers early access release in a few days!
And just like last year you can read a full list of everything I played right here! (x)
2022 was another rough year. Lots of stress from work, and because of that I had a little less money. But on top of that there was SO many games that were must plays for me this year. Which doesn’t usually happen. Overall I’d say it was a pretty good year for me in terms of games. Even if there were some disappointments, there were way more surprises and games that I absolutely fell in love with.
In addition to that I ended 2022 by finally taking some small steps to get my life back together after it was totaled by Covid. I’m walking more, trying to stress less, and I’m finally driving again. Which of course means I can drive to more stores to buy more video games!
I’m just being silly. But I do hope 2022 was good to you, both the year and games. And hopefully 2023 will be kinder to all of us and be filled with some AMAZING video game experiences for all of us to enjoy! Don’t let the first weeks or months of the year dictate how your whole year will go, you are in control of your life. Let’s make 2023 the best of the 2020′s so far!!
Joke for the twitter link. I GOT YOU! You thought it would actually be on the list because I didn’t use Power Stone 2 this time. I GOT YOU!!

The Morning After: More MacBook Pros with 16-inch Sizes Rumors
Hey, good morning! You look stunning.
We're anticipating a major update from Apple and are analyzing a 'maclunkey' first day for Disney+ streaming. Minecraft Earth is available for you to play, and Goldman Sachs is looking into the way credit scores are used to determine Apple Card offers.
It's almost certain. Apple may unveil its 16-inch MacBook Pro today
Keep an eye peeled for announcements from Apple today. Bloomberg sources claim that media previews are happening for a brand new MacBook Pro. It packs a 16-inch screen inside the frame of the laptop's 15 inches and has a new keyboard design to replace its infamously unreliable butterfly switches. The Mac Pro is expected to be released in December, which is good news for anyone who isn't Calvin Harris.
It's more 'Pokemon Go more than 'Dennou Coil' at this point. Premiumebooks 'Minecraft Earth' early access arrives in the US
It took a while, it took a while, but Minecraft Earth is finally available on Microsoft's home soil. The US has released an early access version on iOS and Android of the game with augmented reality, Minecraft Earth. While it's not the full-blown Microsoft and Mojang version they've been hyping for months , it allows you to build dioramas, work with other players on projects, as well as play with mobs in adventure.
But 'The Mandalorian is extremely good.DisneyDay One Connection issues and cropped episodes of 'The Simpsons.
First, Devindra Hardawar believes that The Mandalorian is a good reason to sign up to another streaming service. As if that wasn't enough already, there are 4K remasters of older Star Wars movies. Even the case that A New Hope has a never-before-seen'maclunkey edit, it's tagged the Han vs. Greedo sequence.
Another issue was that some viewers were unable to connect due to the difficulty of Disney+ servers to handle all requests at the same time. We are hopeful that this situation will improve. However, there is a more challenging issue with The Simpsons. A decision to upload all episodes that have been zoomed in and cut for widescreen means that some visual gags from earlier episodes that were 4x3 are removed.

Day 51
One of the fascinating things that happened in 2020, was the falling out of love with console video games, or specifically me falling out of love with long named franchises. It started slowly, I brought Animal Crossing before the first lockdown happened.
The first lockdown, besides being surreal and that is a story for a later date, was a blessing in disguise for me. I had purchased Animal Crossing, but had taken my vacation week the last week of February, meaning that it was unreasonable for me to take the March Break off. Not to say that work wouldn’t have allowed me to take the time off, but my work anxiety would be through the roof as there was still a lot to do before March Break and I was still catching up from my last vacation. But the first lockdown forced us all to be on hold, we couldn’t hold in person therapy sessions, and we weren’t set up at the time to do virtual appointments. So I canceled appointments for the rest of the month and didn’t rebook because we didn’t know what was going to happen.
On top of me being kicked home, this meant I had a lot of spare time on my hands. So after I cleaned up all my files at work, I played Animal Crossing at home. And I loved it… at first, but the game loop designed in Animal Crossing burned me out. I was one of those people who wanted to do all the dailies because it wasn’t effective otherwise if I didn’t. In theory, traditionally, you only spend an hour or two on Animal Crossing, but the way the dailies were set up, it took me about four hours to get through all my stuff, and it was just all chores. Coupled by the fact the amount of updates Nintendo had promised had fallen flat as time progressed it no longer became a game I enjoyed. In the end, while I loved Animal Crossing and had moments of joy out of it, there was also that lingering disappointment due updates not being kept up and it being more work than it should have been. It was probably fine during Covid when you had a lot of time.
I picked up Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town next, and that was even more burn out because of the crafting system. It was a lot to keep track of, especially because I wanted the 5 star crops, and there were always crafting machines to keep running in order to get enough resources. In the end, I wasn’t satisfied and the moment my character got married, I just stopped. I did play a lot, there was a good game loop, but it wasn’t a satisfying game loop.
And then there was Pokemon Snap, a game that probably shouldn’t have been using a level progressing system. That level system was used to extend the game’s play time, because in reality that is a game that isn’t very long. And that was goddamn boring, I only got the two areas because of that progression system. And I know there’s a lot of interesting things in that game.
It probably didn’t help at all that before 2020, I had also played Pokemon Sword and Shield. I do not, how to even describe the amount of annoyance I had over the storyline or the way it was presented. I hated it, I liked playing it but in the end, I hated how little agency my character had over the story. It was made worse by the fact there were glimmers of amazing story potential and it was just wasted.
So four games, and either not satisfying at best or utterly disappointing at worst, and console games are expensive. What really put the nail in the coffin for me were two games I bought.
I had brought Spiritfarer and Battle Chef Brigade, the cost of both was still cheaper than any of the four games I had brought in the past. And I think I brought one of them at least on sale. They were not long games; Battle Chef Brigade, especially, could be finished in 20 hours or less. But I was delighted by both of them. I loved the mechanics, the story and the play. When I finished both of them, I felt satisfied, something I hadn’t felt in a long time.
It was there I had fallen hard into the indie game scene, and I really began to enjoy it. There were genres I really liked and found more common within indie games. And if I did happen to come upon a game that didn’t really fully meet my expectations, I was fine with that. Often these games weren’t more than 30 dollars, or I had gotten them on sale. But I don’t think I’ve ever felt fully disappointed though, or that I wasted money. This has been a really good experience.
Now if I can just stop buying video games like I don’t work a full time job, that would also be good.
