Juliana from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet here, could I get some positivity?

I'm an ex-anti turned proship and I'm also a selfshipper, and there's two things bothering me rn:

This one was about 2 months ago, but the blogger pokemonleagueofficial made a post telling proshippers basically to fuck off, saying, "you're a danger to society" (his words, not mine). I had been a huge fan of his blog for several months, so seeing that post felt like a betrayal and a) it made me fear that if I ever found my greatest treasure, they'd betray me too and b) it took me about 15 minutes worth of imaginary hugs from Geeta to get me to stop ugly crying.

The antis who say shit like (and I quote) "Proshippers, your F/Os hate you" make me feel like I'm merely a means to an end for my F/Os, that end being my life becoming more of a living hell and also caused me to have nightmares about Geeta telling me she no longer loves me and permanently revoking my status as a Champion-ranked Trainer.

I'm sorry to hear you've been having so much trouble with antis. It's always especially troubling when someone you've looked up to turns out to be one, and I can totally understand that feeling of betrayal. You have to remember that deep down, many of them don't even believe the things they themselves are saying and just echo the sentiment to try to avoid being harassed. If we're lucky, maybe that's the case with the tumblr user you mentioned. Regardless of if that is the case or not, though, you are allowed to feel how you feel about it.

Antis are wrong about pretty much everything, and this especially applies to your f/o supposedly hating you. They don't control or even understand how your f/o feels. Only you can. Look within your heart and see for yourself that their words aren't true. Don't let them hurt you. You are worth so much more than their cruel words.

I wish for you clear skies and happy dreams. You deserve to have fun with selfshipping just like anyone else. Being proship doesn't change any of that.

Honestly, if you ask me? Being proship makes you even more worthy of your f/o's love, because being proship is inherently supportive of others ships in fandom. You deserve to feel that support reflected towards you as well.

Thank you for helping make fandom a happier place. I hope these feelings of rejection, betrayal and distress ease away for you soon. You deserve so much better, and i'm sure Geeta knows that better than anyone else. ❤️

Hello! If you follow my blog, you may know that I’m an amourshipper. Recently, I’ve been browsing the amourshipping tag and found a lot of anons submitting this to accounts that don’t ship amourshipping (essentially, harassing them):

“ASH X SERENA IS CANON!!!! POKESHIPPING SUCKS!!! GET OVER IT :D” or something along those lines.

As an amourshipper that isn’t clinically insane, I just want to say to these anons: you suck.  As an amourshipper, we don’t claim you.  

Shipping, especially people as young as Ash, is supposed to be fun.  Yet, for some reason, creepy people decide to make it into...that.  By doing so, not only are you painting amourshipping and amourshippers in a bad light, but you’re also just bringing down the fun that everyone is supposed to have.  You’re not going to get other shippers to ship your ship by acting like an asshole.  

As an amourshipper, I can confirm that I have never had a problem with (non-toxic, obviously) journeysshippers and pokeshippers.  I’ve never felt the need to harass them with dumbass messages that just make me look like an obsessive weirdo and a troll.  If I don’t like something from either ship, do you know what I do? I scroll past it.  Simple as that.  I even do that with amourshipping, sometimes!

It’s literally that easy to be a decent person.  It’s literally that easy to not be a dick.  To all of the people who have been harassed by people claiming to be “amourshippers” I sincerely apologize.  You’re all really funny about responding to the messages, though, so thank you for at least bringing some positivity into it.

And to all of those trolls who think it’s okay to harass people who have literally done nothing wrong: Screw you.
