Seeing other people's versions of Groudon and Kyogre inspired me to try my hand at designing them in my world! Here they are both genuine giants, titans and true aspects of ocean and earth. And, more alarmingly, they never lost their primal forms. They can't ever lose them actually! They're more forces of nature then anything else. It's only in more recent centuries that they've calmed, in a sense. Their powers are controlled, but never diminished.

Groudon towers over 200 meters in height while Kyogre easily stretches to a length of over 400 meters. There are tales that say Groudon's heart beats with the core of the earth, and that Kyogre holds the entire world in it's coils.

These designs are mostly just me messing around and are subject to change in the future, but they were fun to make!

Moves used by Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza

With the “Scuffle of Legends” episode trio, I thought i’d make this post as a little summary on all the moves that the weather trio; Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza used throughout these three episodes. Oh, and as a little extra, the move names will have their Japanese versions in ( ) in order to make sure the Japanese is correct for then the time comes to make Japanese versions of the plots.

As Oceanus approached the massive island, they reached out, pressing their mind against one just as vast as their own. This mind was near dormant, having found quite a comfortable resting place atop a newly forming hot-spot. Whilst usually they would leave their Other to their dozing dreams, rapid change was occurring, and it was best they both be aware of it.

Slowly, the Other's mind woke, bit by bit, like going from low-burning embers to near overwhelming flames. Just like Oceanus themselves, they too were titanus, and knew their other would not wake them for something a simple as a mere chat.

The world shook, once, twice, three times, before the sound of an enormous CRACK forming was heard. The thing that once resembled an island was now coming undone, volcanoes spewing lava and sending thick plums of smoke into the air, nearly blotting out the stars in the sky. Waves battered against what little remained of the former landmass, a constant beat never let up, goaded on by the trembling earth beneath it.

It lifted Itself from the warm embrace of lava below into the cool air above, heat causing the air to shake and obscure it's form further. Molten rock poured from its maw, like the heart of the earth had been spilled open for all to see. Maybe in this moment it truly was.

Groudon (?) has awoken! Best you beware their volatile form when questioning them.

Was never much into legendaries from the earlier generations (besides Mew, Mewtwo, and the Tower Trio), but he does have a very rad design nonetheless!

Also, my favorite of the two was Kyogre anyway lolol!!

Was never into the fire types personally (I'm more a water type fan lol), but I still find the Blaziken line to be one of my favorites of the fire starters!

In pokemon Battle Revolution for the Wii, you can battle people wearing pokemon costumes and obtain these. These costumes can be shiny, and it’s one of the more obscure and hard to find shiny hunts in pokemon. For a really long time, the only proof that this was even real was a screenshot of a shiny costume in a game guide. 

A youtuber, AbsolBlogsPokemon, made a video on his own hunt for the shiny Groudon costume which you can watch here if you are interested
