Has anyone ever had a Pokemon deck where they clearly promote ONE Pokemon card to the best in the deck, but in reality it is the mostly unlikely Pokemon to be OP? I'll go first.

My Flaming Charizard deck my brothers gave me. The box is Charizard, the mat is Charizard, the engeries are fire so Charizard can use his awesome ability; the coin that decides my fate? Charizard.

Which card causes my brothers to tremble in fear?

The Queen. Specifically, Niodoqueen who was put in there SOLELY to counter any water types poor Charizard can't take out.

Wonder how she EARNED her title as Queen? Check out the card and do the math.

Guess how many evolution Pokemon are in my deck? Guess how many are in the field by the time Nidoqueen shows up? Hehe...

Okay, okay, doubt the ability to get Nidoqueen powered up right away? Her base form has "Call for Family" which allows me to call for ONE basic Pokemon and put it on my bench, which is supposed to be used to set up Charamander to Charizard. It proceeds to build up an entire team from which I find the evolutions to evolve (Somehow Charizard doesn't show up till LATER!) which often result in Nidoqueen having FOUR evolved Pokemon on the bench. 50 + 50 + 50 + 50 + 10 = 210 damage.

In other words, thanks bros for giving me the power to take out your Dragonites!!!!

What pokemon would you suggest for a system with wildly different needs? Ordona hates touch (gets too hot), Yrsa can't have their neck touched, James and Omen like something cuddly, and Nero wants something he could spar with (but that's not a requirement). We're relatively active but don't go for hikes, and we're in a climate that's got a cold winter and a boiling summer.

Ooh, you know what Pokémon would be a great addition to your home? An Alolan Ninetales!

Despite being part Ice-type, Alolan Ninetales actually do surprisingly well in warm climates, so summers shouldn’t be too big of a problem (though giving your frosty friend a Never Melt Ice certainly wouldn’t hurt) They also tend to be quite adaptable personality-wise as well; they can be very affectionate and cuddly when needed, and more laidback and reserved when not. Sparring may not really be on the cards as this species is typically on the calmer side, but I am sure there are individuals who would be down for a friendly tussle.

Much like their Kantonian cousins, Alolan Ninetales groom themselves fairly frequently, which helps with their grooming requirements. A good brushing two or three times a week should be enough to keep your Ninetales’ fur in peak condition, just be aware that their tail fur, as well as the fur of their mane and head crest, is a bit more susceptible to matting due to the curliness.

Alolan Ninetales are known, at least in Alola, for their gentle temperaments, and are generally safe Pokémon for owners of all experience levels! Overprotectiveness and resource guarding can be issues though, so it’s a good idea to provide your Ninetales with proper training and socialization (ideally as a Vulpix) in order to help prevent those problems from popping up.

Here's what I got for my birthday. I skipped the eShop Card for $35 and the Xbox Gold membership for a year since their both in Paper and I hope I might get use with them to play online and even when I buy some games one last time on Wii U and 3DS before Nintendo stops using Prepaid cards on August 29th. But for video games, I got Forza Horizon 5 and Sonic Colors Ultimate for Xbox One. But they can also be played on Xbox Series as well. And for Switch I got Super Mario Odyssey, Nickelodeon All star Brawl and Outdoor Challenge. Which it's a lot different then the Wii version that I had the mat for it. But it can come with this strap that can be put on your leg and do these random activities. It's gonna be different then playing Switch Sports or Ring Fit Adventure. Cause Ring Fit Adventure is so Expensive! Same price how Mario Kart Live Home Circuit can be. But back to the presents. I got some Pokemon Book Marks so anytime I want to read some of my books and even if I get some at the library. And finally, I got a Huion Kamvas Pro 16 which it's the same Tablet Project SNT got back when she worked on her drawings. But I bet it can be useful to see on the Screen on the tablet much like seeing a reference on the computer. Kinda like how drawing on a 3DS used to be. I bet the Tablet will be super useful when drawing some pics in the future.

Wanna print out the play mat my sister found. Stupid starter kid didn't list a layout/play mat. The one we can print looks fun to color. So I wanna do that.

We're so busyyyyyy. Tomorrow we'll be out of town all day. Mom has an appointment and she wants lunch. Then friday we're going out AGAIN, full retail shopping and out to lunch for auntie's birthday. And then saturday is holiday stroll. Walk through downtown and visit the shops. Christmas tree contest. Chili supper, cookies, hot cider.. a small parade.

No time to print out the things i want. 😞 Also we're all gonna be too dead to go to the library.

And then nephews birthday is 4 days after that.

Also i volunteered to make his cake. 🤔 He asked for a dino cake. His mom made one when he was like 4 that he thought was stupid (he still talks about it but has changed his tune to "I liked it just fine, mom!") so i was gonna try to save her from getting pooped on. I asked if i was stepping on her toes, making her son's birthday cake and she said no.

She's stepping on mine though 😂

I found a stencil you just cut from sheet cake. She wants to do a 3D cake complete with standing rice krispie neck/head and Lego print spots

tbh the path to the peak series isn't about the tcg so much as it's about the community around the tcg. joshua seeing someone ostracized by the rest of the school and immediately inviting her to join the pokemon club. ava starting with older cards then having newer cards like defiance band almost immediately, presumably from the other club members. "you're doing great!" followed by the immediate devastating win. going back even after you lose so badly and getting better at the game. learning how to shuffle your cards. the way joshua says "regionals!" at the end of the episode. staying up all night to get your deck as ready as possible. "you sure you want to bring oddish instead of the meta deck everyone is gonna be playing?". saying good luck before the game and good game afterwards. the different playing mats. how serious it feels to go head to head but you're still connected through the game and have such a good time. literally all it's missing is card sleeves and dice but I can excuse that since they're not as stylistic as coins and damage counters
