I think the best thing that our generation has normalised is having "online friends" . The bond created with these people is not based on their looks or their status but on the basis of their likes, their personalities, their favourite fandoms and their interests. You might have never shook hands or hugged them but still you are more comfortable telling them about your stupid mistakes and stupid jokes. The best thing about these friends is you don't have to meet them regularly to keep your friendship alive. And it's also the worst part not getting to meet them regularly or even once a week or once a month. From meeting them in the comment section of a meme to listening to their rants to updating them about our lives, online friends become our forever friends. It's a different kind of friendship but it's the cutest no pressure of any sort just two people sharing bits and pieces of their lives with each other and supporting each other.

Before the lights go out
Let's be lovers for a day, In case we won't make it through the night! At least we'll have a story to hold onto  For when the world ends, We know we're not meant to grow old So maybe let's tell each other words We’ve never heard before, Confess our crimes and taste the sky Before it all comes down, Before the earth is fire and ash, Before the lights go out.
~ A. A. Roman

you just say “not so loud”

Gone
Dangling swords of Damocles.
A face full of Icarus's wings' hot molten wax.
Tick-tock goes the clock; Always More, and never less, unless measuring Time, left.
Surface tension As the utmost flimsy, struggle-mocking Barrier, established To deny a drowning man Even his last Breath.
Crawling
Through a one-way-out narrowing tunnel, Halfway realising Its only obstruction Will be the vessel named Death.
With shoulders scrubbing against The harshest Reality
No, you will not make it. This is not a game. Never was. Although you did not know this When you started; this is every end's worth.
Will you Embrace the light You cannot reach, or clubber Your head against the slate to be released, Or slither back into the abyss To cling to a life wherein There is nothing Left
To live?
What then is bravery and what is cowardice?
A dream, escalating within The subconsciously suspected obscenities Of waking up; a trading planes Due to the mundanity of muscle Memory.
A heart-attack at three a.m., When the mnemonic muscle Decides to take No more.
And the bruises on a chest That suffered frantic, failed,
CPR.
This is what I am, With and without Your love.

how does one always know the right things to say and what to do when it comes to me? i've never met such a person that could make me feel so safe in such a short period of time. for so long i've felt like i was too much, but he always tells me that i'm not and that i'm just enough.

Discernment
Down the hole I crawl, Echoes of “Drink Me” and “Eat Me” call To a domain where tastemakers reign, Truth a hostage in the hawkers’ game. Screens glow with Wonderland’s guise, Truths and lies meet earnest eyes. “Shrink waist,” “Build jawline,” they boldly claim, A mad tea party of deceit and shame. Through Cheshire’s broad, grim…

Hello, i love reading your stuff and was wondering...
Could you write a poem about feeling safe finally, after running from danger?
Chased into safety
A rabbit runs and skirts along the treeline, it's quick, it's nimble and doesn't waste time.
A rabbit sits with ears twitching and heart racing, and suddenly there begins the dreaded chasing.
Danger followed ,nipping at their heels but life was forward through dense and muddy fields.
the chase was long and the odds where slim, rabbit was sure they'd almost lost a limb.
But the Field was now above and so where the dangers, there would be no more encounters with bloodthirsty strangers.
The safety was their home, a warm and cozy hole, dug up in a frenzy ,but now holds every memory, of quiet disbelief, they live another day and so they sink down in absolute relief.
the rabbit was tired, but not the awful kind, they where the kind of tired you're always bound to find, when danger is behind.
There are no fears from long ago, instead they dream of flower fields empty of any foe. -27paperlilies

I loved him, In tangled sheets, and half asleep.
he loved, the stranger beside him, a beautiful disaster, he thought he could keep.
with a soul too wild, to be chained to him. she dreamed, of paradise.
He craved control, and the thought of forever, touching his own lies.
