Just watched episode 47 of Star Twinkle Pretty Cure.
The episode begins with the Starscape Alliance tending to the wounds of the Notraiders after last episode’s battle. Galogre regains consciousness, and the girls inform him that Ayewan helped save him and the others, including Kappard and Tenjou. Prunce asks Galogre if he knows where the Ophiuchus Princess took Fuwa and the Princesses, but Galogre fears they may be beyond their reach by now.
Meanwhile, the Ophiuchus Princess plans to perform her own ritual and give her power to Fuwa so that she can spread her darkness, destroy the universe and create a new one.
Galogre explains that while the Ophiuchus Princess is likely on the Notraiders’ planet, they have no way of reaching it now since she has taken back Darknest’s bracelets and they needed her warps to get there. Thankfully, Topper reveals that the people of planet Guten finished their search and have found a way to the Notraiders’ planet, although it will take a few warps to get there. Kappard and Tenjou, having also regained consciousness, offer their help as well, with the other Notraiders gladly joining in as well.
One of the Starscape Alliance members asks Topper if he thinks they can trust them, but Topper replies that he trusts the judgment of the Cures, plus, considering the current situation, they don’t really have time to get reinforcements, and thus they should take all the help they can possibly get.
The Ophiuchus Princess explains to Fuwa how she holds a portion of the Star Princesses’ power, and thus when her own power is added to that, she’ll be able to carry out her plans. The Star Princesses remind her that Fuwa doesn’t have all of their power, but the Ophiuchus Princess replies that she’s well aware of that.
On the Starscape Alliance ship, everyone is preparing for the upcoming battle. Hikaru and Lala offer Kappard a rice ball, but he insists he’s fine with just water. Hikaru and Lala tell him to at least just try it before turning it down, so he does, finding it good. Elena talks to Tenjou, who expresses her gratitude that Elena and the others helped save both her and the Notraiders working for her. Yuni goes to help Ayewan with her ship, and Madoka talks to Galogre, who asks if Madoka has truly accepted them all. Madoka replies that there is still some uncertainity within her, but she’ll look past that so they can move forward.
As they approach the Notraiders’ planet, the Notraiders suit up, while the Cures transform to get ready for the battle. Sensing their arrival, the Ophiuchus Princess sends snake-shaped energy beams at them to prevent them from disrupting the ritual, but the Cures gradually manage to break through and reach the planet with the help of the Notraiders. They use a Twinkle Imagination boosted Southern Shot Cross and Rainbow Splash to knock down the Ophiuchus Princess, and Star manages to free Fuwa.
However, the Ophiuchus Princess tells them it won’t be that simple, and begins to reveal information that the other twelve princesses had withheld from them. She explains that all imagination was granted to living beings by the twelve princesses, who spread half of their power throughout the universe, because they wanted to see what the various people would do with it. The Ophiuchus Princess was the only one to object, worrying that some might misuse the power of imagination. The other princesses insisted that it would be fine, and even if some might misuse that power, there would be others who could use their own imagination to fight against them, such as the Pretty Cure.
When the Ophiuchus Princess decided to oppose them by force, she was driven out of the palace, and created a darkness to retreat to so she could regain her power. She comments that she was eventually proven right, considering the fates of the various Notraiders, and with their help she would try to end and recreate the universe. The Star Princesses tell the Cures to complete the ritual and give Fuwa the Twinkle Imagination, but the Ophiuchus Princess reveals another aspect of the ritual that the other princesses withheld from the Cures.
Fuwa was originally part of the palace, and after being granted the Princesses’ power, completing the ritual would eliminate the Ophiuchus Princess, but it would also require Fuwa to be sacrificed since she would return to being part of the palace. The Cures stand frozen in horror as this sinks in, and the Ophiuchus Princess prepares to get rid of them. However, Fuwa makes the choice for them, and borrows their power so she can stop the Ophiuchus Princess’ attack from destroying her friends, and save the universe, even as they try to stop her.
The episode ends with Hikaru calling Fuwa’s name in anguish after Fuwa seemingly sacrifices herself to save everyone.
Another great episode. It was really cool to see the Cures and Notraiders preparing for battle and working together. And wow, adding a bit of a gray area to the conflict between the Star Princesses and the Ophiuchus Princess there, I think. While the Star Princesses certainly had good intentions, protecting the universe and all, there was a lot of information they withheld from the Cures. Even Prunce, who had been serving them, had no idea the thirteenth Princess even existed. Of course, as we see from the next episode preview, things aren’t quite over yet.
Well, time to check out episode 48 and see what happens next!

Transcendence of stones
Reading a book could be seen in many ways, an obligation, a necessity, a distraction or a pleasure. Sometimes we read books, comics, articles, etc, without looking for the real meaning, we focus on the essential parts of the plot, the characters personality and in a setting established on a vague vision. I'm always late reading books, I read things over and over again, sometimes words seem to be too pretentious and too complicated and sometimes I don't catch the main ideas and then I read over and over again until I remember the chapter better than anything else. Although we´re not puppets, we should be able to think whenever we read, to figure a whole universe of possibilities, of worlds, of feelings and reactions, like Hikaru playing Go. Actually, in this little piece of thoughts, I'll explain my experience with Hikaru no Go and looking deeper…
At first, I wasn’t amazed by reading the manga because I didn’t like the drama behind of one simple game, the presence of this ghost master at go and the intensity of the characters thoughts around every move or thing they do. I believed it was just a secondary theme in the meaning and that the essence of the manga relied on something bigger but sometimes we won’t look far from our instincts.
Thinking about the hero's journey I thought it would be the classic call and duty of Hikaru as “The Chosen One”, to see Sai as his sensei and Akira as his rival, but after everything whatsoever, I got to understand the importance Go had for each character.
Sai seems to be the guide but in the beginning, Hikaru has no interest in Go, he's just satisfying Sai´s desires and goals, thought the process Hikaru meets people, friends, rivals and he starts living to Go as an experience and as a creation. His abilities overpass Sai´s purposes and become a personal goal for him. Transcendence then is not only based on their actions but personal development as comrades and as rivals. Hikaru´s perspective of Go changes when he actually starts playing interested and with own movements and consciousness
Then with this interest, everything acquires a true value and meaning in which every perspective and goal is more important than before. Akira´s perspective of rivalry is stronger so therefore his movements and strategies are based on their own vision
For Akira: His dad, honour and strength
For Hikaru: Sai, his passion and development
Playing Go isn't easy
I thought what if I experienced Go more than just in literature so to get this experience more like Justin literature I decided to play go to understand the feeling of the characters playing the same game. And I played with a friend, we downloaded a game on the App Store and we started playing it but we didn’t know like how deeply we know that in the board in the actual ward the physical one you had to put the stones with your with certain fingers and that each point you are in as well the point is you deserve the score so we decided to play and it was kind of strange because we didn’t get to understand at all, we were just putting stones randomly and that’s not the point. So then we read about the rules and we understand what we had to do.
At first my friend was winning and I was very frustrated because I wasn't able to focus on the plays in the whole space how to play so I played a lot, did some search for the rules and then I realised I had the manga so I read it again and I decided to focus not only in the way they played but in the values and in the meaning it has for them so.. I had an enlightenment moment in which I understood that what all “melodramatic” feeling of the manga was in fact important. I tried to imagine Akira´s stress and daddy issues plus his competitive personality. I understood the satisfaction of movements and the space of the board as the arena of strategies. I realized whenever you think about yourself taking part and action of what you´re reading then you understand the value, essence, the pleasure and the transcendence of simplicity among a game, a game that means more than just rivalry, is transcendent.
