hey if u guys r sad about ofmd and want another show with gay people to watch you should consider watching Deadloch. It’s really good it’s really really good uh it might get a second season if the creators decide to do that.
if you watch good omens you’ll be able to watch Deadloch they’re on the same service. Uhhhh One of the actors from ofmd is there shes one half of the main duo (the other half is played by Kate Box who’s an amazing actor and Dulcie is now one of my fav characters ever) gets to wear an open Hawaiian shirt for like 3 of the 8 episodes which is a bonus. It’s extremely gay and it’s fun and beautifully written and no queer characters die and it’s satisfying and funny and Please watch it I’m begging you please watch itPLEASE

every time a writer drags bendis's shit reboot legion out again, it's like. the only thing i can compare it to is the feeling when you see someone posting about leaked nudes or like the address of someone who was doxxed or something to that effect. like what the FUCK is wrong with you. why would you even bring that up. you know damn well that we're trying to erase that from the public consciousness. why can't you just do the decent thing and pretend it doesn't exist like everyone else

can we talk about this?
how long have audiences been complaining that Hollywood has only been churning out sequels, remakes, adaptations, biopics, and/or Disney helmed projects? Don’t get me wrong, that is not to say that great cinema can’t come out of such projects, but we all know the fatigue is starting to hit and audiences crave more.
If you’re so tired of these things, I am asking you to go out and support original filmmaking. Go support indie filmmakers, international filmmakers and their projects when and where you are able to. When you see something you enjoy and think is worth the time, talk about it, share something about it. There are artists out here making things and putting it out for the world, and by making the small effort to watch and share their work, we can finally say that yes, we do want to see more original art from artists of all backgrounds, experiences and skill sets. We do want to see new work from new people and expand what we know the art of storytelling to be. Because I know that I want that, but I need more people to want that too.

the true genshin/star rail experience is getting a good character early on and using them in your team, but then getting to meet them in the actual story only to realize they are the most annoying person in the world

aaand the lighthouse!!! not sure on this one tbh, i feel like the contrast between the two sides just isnt... right
(once again, continuation of previous posts, go here to see the land section + offer opinions on that if u wanna <3)
i havent included full refs of the lighthouse on previous posts today, so here they are!
i said it in the tags on the previous post but its really obvious with the amount of detail here so to clarify: the reason it looks a bit janky is because all these pieces have seam allowance
3 versions again, the only differences is with the 'white' sections on the shades side (3 fabrics- 1,2 in first img, then 1,3 or 2,3)
im still not entirely sure how im tackling sewing this right now- ive split the top of the lighthouse into a lot of sections to make piecing easier, but there are still a LOT of corners on this thing that could only be tackled as an inverted corner... which is kinda evil. im wondering about maybe doing the lighthouse area more of an applique- so sitting on top of the surface of the quilt- it could be bulky because of my fabric choice but is /theoretically/ easier to sew?? and also it could look good visually, to have the lighthouse sitting above the rest???? (i think if i did this id group the top of the lighthouse back up again)
as i said above, im not super happy with the colour choices- when picking fabrics i leaned quite a lot into the dramatic shading on the original painting, however with the low contrast between the light and dark on the red stripes, i think it might stand out way too much in comparison
i definitely have other options on the lighter grey front, so i think ill have a rummage and see if i can find something closer to my 'white' colour, but in case i can't, what are we thinking about these?
(also: yes it really irritates me my white is light grey- not so much in the sea but on the lighthouse... yeah frustrating. but this is pretty much my only option. maybe theres a cream? maybe i should grab that too fjbfjnfsf)
