“bu…bubu- but they’re just wittle pixels and digital images rwight 🥺” no. we spend hours on gifs or even one singular gif to make edits for FREE on tumblr dot com. name a person who asked us to do this. no one!! exactly!! we make gifs bc its enjoyable and fun but people like reposters suck the fun out of it!!! and do NOT go and tell us that “gifs aren’t that hard to make” baby girl what do u think we do? go online and search for a video downloader and download it at like a crappy 720p and go to like literal ezgif dot com and all the gifs just MAGICALLY have their effects, typography, colouring, blending, animation, quality all up and ready? why dont u try and make a gif. hm.

and also, @ all of you “gif collectors” or some fanfic writers. lemme tell u a secret. an itty bitty secret. did u know… theres this really cool thing called PROPERLY CREDITING? im not talking about a stupid “credits to the owners” no. it isn’t that hard to properly source the creators or accounts.

also oh my god, do NOT go around saying you made these gifs when it is so obvious you didn’t. no bff, it isn’t a coincidence we have the same sharpening AND colouring settings.

we’re just asking for a proper credit on your post or maybe even stop reposting in whole. im sure you had good intentions in making those posts, but you have to understand how much it hurts. at this point, we have to put our watermarks in the middle of our gifs to avoid people cropping them out.

and please, PLEASE reblog edits. you have no idea how diminishing it is to see such a crappy like to reblog ratio. remember this hellsite has such a crappy algorithm so reblogging is essentially one of the only ways to give posts more traction

Honestly, it threw me for a loop when I saw my art piece on a platform where I don’t usually post but there it was, cropped and with a completely different prompt (like it’s not obvious that the ikran is not some random banshee but literally cupcake 😐)

STOP. STEALING. MY. ART. WITHOUT. MY. PERMISSION.

Didn’t want to do this, but enough is enough. I had to find out from others (while I am away overseas with limited internet) that multiple SessKag LATAM groups on facebook had been reposting my art & not crediting me (the artist), and even going as far as cropping my watermark out. To add salt to an open wound, I also found out someone made a T-shirt of my art without my knowledge.

l create SessKag art to share with the community. I get no monetary compensation from the hours of work I put in, nor am I asking for money (this is in part why I do not take commissions.) All I ask in return is to credit me, the artist, whenever they share my works. It is as simple as copy/pasting the original source, whether through instagram or tumblr.

yet this is so difficult to do, for some reason.

I know I am not going to get rich off of this. I know art theft is common. People make fanfic covers of my stuff. Art theft is hard to prevent unless I put everything behind a pay wall (ie Patreon) and even that isn’t foolproof.

I draw because I genuinely enjoy the community and what it has to offer.

But not this- blatant art theft.

but seriously, ya’ll have put a bad taste in my mouth. Enjoy not getting SessKag content from me because I’m out.

to those who’ve read this far, I ask that you help out fellow artists who face the same problem. If you see art that you know was made by someone else without proper credit, please flag the posts, or at least bring it to the page admin’s attention to give credit where credit is due.

Really wish I didn’t have to write this but as of this moment I am tired of seeing gifs I’ve made reposted without credit. It’s not asking for much to credit the person who took the time to make the gif. I’m beyond exhausted on feeling like other people are getting credit for my hard work. Before anyone says, that I don’t own the fandoms I make content for, I know that. What I do own is the time and effort putting the gif sets together, the coloring I made specifically for that set. It’s part of reason why so many gif makers have stopped making gifs because people don’t credit or even try and claim they made it themselves. Please all I ask is you all at least credit me on other platforms so people know who made the gif. The whole cropping my watermark out of edits needs to stop. It’s disrespectful and rude. You want to make gifs learn how to do it yourself. Don’t mooch off someone else hard work just to get likes. I will probably delete this in a few but if you want gif makers keep making content then be respectful. It shouldn’t be that hard.

The seventh day, Princess Knight finishes airing on FujiTV since April 7, 1968 and Cardcaptor Sakura first adaption was aired in NHK, dated in April 7, 1998!

I came up a cute crossover where Princess Knight’s heroine, Sapphire, inspired the very first prototype of magical girl genre! And since they’re coincidentally became anniversary prompts, it will be nice if I drew Sakura dressing up with Sapphire’s Hero Costume! I had a stressful time coming up the drafts and clean-up but finished in day thanks to my determination!

April has been blessing with all anniversaries of my favorite prompts, 2 more pieces and you’ll be surprised! Keep on eye out, thanks as always for enjoying my work!

hey there! i'm also a writer and want to make a smau, but i honestly have no idea how. do you have apps/references you use to make it?

i was in the exact position as you when i was first starting out this blog and wanting to create a smau! i had no idea what apps authors used and srsly remember looking everywhere to find something🥲 thankfully though i’ve managed to settle on the apps i currently use for now:

for the text messages i use an app called memi messages! it’s a little scuffed, at least in my case because istg the app just randomly crashes on me, but overall it’s a good app to use to create fake text messages if you don’t want any watermarks and such!

for the tweets/twitter profiles i use an app called twinote! this one is really good and one that i’ve seen a few other smau writers mention a lot. it’s also got a really helpful tool of ss the tweets you make without going through the hassle of ss and cropping it out yourself!

there’s also another app called fake all that i have yet to use, but that app allows you to create fake phone calls, incoming msgs on lockscreens, and texts msgs too but for whatsapp/messenger

i also have yet to incorporate using instagram layouts for my smau but have been testing out an app called photonote which is working well for me so far both layout and function wise! and for images/pfps i simply use pinterest to find them (only note that if you do incorporate fanart into your smau you make sure to credit the original creator/artist which pinterest is notorious for lacking. i just do a good old reverse google image and find the og post from there and make sure the artists don’t mind having their art used as long as its credited)

and finally though probably unrelated to what anon is asking for, when i make my title headers for the masterposts i use two apps; phonto and picsart! although this isn’t technically related to the actual creation of smaus (i.e messages, profiles, etc.) i decided to include it nonetheless encase some were curious! it’s kind of a whole other long-ish process i do with those apps but if anyone wants to know i’m more than willing to share that too! hell i’ll even create one for a smau writer if they so please cause i lowkey enjoy doing it🤭really just adds that extra flair to your smau! gotta support my fellow smau writers in their endeavors 🫡

Both gif sets I made for Lockwood and Co can be found here (1) and (2). This person even cropped out my watermarks! Seriously??????? Some of the gifs I post take HOURS of my time to make. Don’t be mean and please stop stealing!

The same person also took gifs from other fandoms such as Shadow and Bone, Anne with an E and Bridgerton, Vampire Diaries etc.
