And since I’m still knee deep in a spicy scene for Sugar, We’re Going Down Swingin:

“Simon,” I plead.

“Parience, babe.” he says as he continues his descent.

My cock jumps and hits him in the chin. I throw my arms over my eyes to shield me from another embarrassing moment. Honestly, quick bathroom handies with a random club guy are a lot less work than this.

“Do you like that sweetheart?” He asks and my cock betrays me again.

“I’m begging you to stop. He’s never been called such nice names and it’s going to his…head.”

I don’t know if that will stay, but I got a good chuckle as I typed it.

The Show Must Go On ~ Prompt List

This list has been long in the making and is far from finished. But I decided to post the first draft now, and see where to go from there 🥰

It's composed of mainly theatre tracks but contains something outside the world of theatre too, and will more or less be like that throughout this "journey" as I don't always listen to musical theatre cast recordings, but it's still a lot of what I do listen to 😅

That's just like you, why should I be surprised? Selfish and prideful and vain. Unlike you every time someone dies I'm left to deal with the strain. 

I'll remind you I saw you as a friend, but now we're done.

At least I know what I'm fighting for, while you're fighting to be known! Since you claim you're so much wiser why's your life spent all alone?

I made something that’s a combination of an OC creation prompt and a game that pushes your imagination.

I've done this myself a couple of times and it really helped with planning out characters when i had writer's block or needed additional characters in my stories.

I wanted to share this cause it might help others and be a fun little exercise for character creators, artists, writers, and bored individuals!

So, to make the oc imma start with a shuffled list of songs from playlists I like/with an overall vibe I want to incorporate. The trick with this one is that, in addition to the primary character traits, the world building and potential back story are also determined in the songs. I suppose different aspects of the music determine specifications of the world and its central protagonist. Some plots might be clichè or repetitive if music tastes are similar. In that situation, perhaps a new/different/someone else's playlist will suffice.

NOTE: Some parts might take a bit of research to fulfill. You can also use any aspects of the song's for anything. My details simply provide guidance.

1. Determines OC's physical appearance (can be but is not limited to: ethnicity, style, color scheme, humanoid aspects, sex, gender, general physical expressions, facial/bodily/added features).

[The main components of the song to analyze are: lyrics hinting to physical description,  the writers/performers of the song, the cover art, the cover art subject matter, name of band/song/album, genre etc.]

2. Determines OC's emotional/mental expression and personality

(Involves: General personality traits, potential disorders, character mindset, emotional and mental weaknesses/strengths/capabilities.)

[Based on: Song's lyrics, names of album/song, subject matter depicted in the actual music or in cover/album art etc.]

3.Determines the OC's back story/ childhood/ past information

(Primarily involves: lyrics/storytelling in one's own interpretation of the music or, if given outright, a storyline contrived of the song's general story. If one is not present, retry or make something up loosely based on the song that originally came up.etc)

4. Determines OC's relationships with supporting characters/the world around them.

(Determined by: general atmosphere of the song to one's own interpretation, lyrics involving a surrounding enviornment/another character, emotion captured by the music, real life interactions of the writers/preformers/creators etc.)

5. Determines OC's plot progression

(Includes: possible trauma experiences, main events in their life, triggering occurrence to send their current adaptation into motion.)

[Determined by: song's storytelling,  lyrics, cover art, theme of the album/song/entire discography, own imagined scenarios while listening to said song etc.]

6.Determine's OC's primary relationship motivation

(For example: the song might entail an, aquaintence,  romance, platonic friendship, family, enemies, master/student,  lovers etc.)

[Determined by: song subject matter and its portrayal of a relationship, energy of the song, cover art and anything else inspiration can stem from etc.)

7. Determines OC's overarching goal/wish/want/need

(Can involve anything previously mentioned and not mentioned with regards to aspects of the song. Can also be ignored completely and instead be based on the developing plot etc.)

Now for world building:

8. Determines general setting

(Involves: design/style/color scheme of the surrounding enviornment, sci-fi/fantasy/dystopian/alien/historical/steampunk/ etc.)

[Determined by: genre, cover art/colors/subjects, general theme/atmosphere,  descriptive lyrics, etc.]

9. Determines emotions evoked by the world/setting

(For example: laid back, fun, depressing, hopeless, enraged, rebellious, deadly, safe etc.)

[Determined by: Whatever invokes an emotion to compel you to design it.)

10. Determines inhabitants of the world

(Includes: their views of life, their general emotional inclination, their current activities.)

[Determined by: song subject matter, lyrics, invoked emotions,  storytelling (environmental, atmospheric, lyrical) of the song/band etc.]

11. Determines primary issues/plot points/problems that further the OC and developing society

(Can involve subject matter of songs, what the music was originally inspired by, the creator's notes on the song/their personal struggles involved in it, or simple inspiration from the song itself etc.)

12. Determines secondary issues/plot points/problems that further the OC and developing society

(Anything in the song that inspires you/furthers the world that is already made)

13.Determines unique aspects of the world and its inhabitants

(Can be based off of subject matter, lyrics, physical descriptions, cover art, general themes, or simply serve as inspiration for the plot already created.)

This is simply meant as a guide, some songs may not go well with others but that just creates opportunities to mold a unique story from that! None of my prompts are a must and they can be used out of order if you wish. Don't be afraid to go back and change details!

Mick/Lance - Brother, Kodaline

Lance was sitting outside the Aston Martin hospitality building when he happened to look up and see Mick walking through the paddock, but there was clearly something wrong with his favourite blonde, a blank, vacant look had replaced his usual cheerful smile and he greeted nobody as he made his way towards the Haas garage. 

He called out to Mick but got no answer, it seemed as if Mick was completely oblivious to everything going on around him, his body working on autopilot.  

Lance rushed over to Mick, grabbing his arm to get his attention, the young German finally looked at him and all Lance could see was pain and heartbreak in those sweet blue eyes, “they fired me” and with those three words he burst into tears, hiding his face in Lance’s shoulder. 

The tall Canadian slowly guided Mick to the privacy of his driver’s room, he eased them both down to floor and wrapped the blonde in as tight and love-filled a hug as he could, “oh Mick, I’m so sorry, you’re such a brilliant driver, you deserved that seat, Hell you deserve a better seat!” 

Mick Lifted his head from where he’d buried it in Lance’s shoulder, instead resting his chin there and gazing up at his Canadian, “it’s not even the seat I’m most upset about, the car is shit I’m glad I won’t have to drive it again but it’s you. You’re going to be flying off to so many races and training inbetween, I’m just worried you won’t have time for me, that I’ll get left behind.” 

That admission broke Lance’s heart, the love he felt Mick was all consuming, there wasn’t a day that went by where the young man in his arms wasn’t his first and last thought, “Never. You are unforgettable Mick Schumacher, and you’re stuck with me forever.” 

He dropped a kiss on the top of Mick’s head, tightening his arms around the blonde and mumbling into his hair “I’ve got you.”

Ah, to be a part of Drakkon's Eighth Division, doing the jobs nobody else wanted. Carefully and with the instinct and ability that came from doing the same thing over and over again a hundred-thousand times, Adam veered the nervous cow out from the pasture it had been getting fat and content in for the last five years. The old girl had given gallons and gallons of the sweetest, creamiest milk. Had been the foundation for most of the ingredients that Drakkon made a point of eating alone at a grand table elevated above where the Sentries ate when he wasn't holding court with aliens and monsters. Chocolate mousse pie, silky smooth malts, and other sweetmeats that nobody else could get their hands on without his benevolence or bored permission. But she was over twelve and the week previous, she had fallen down in the far end of the pasture where there was a pond maintained by others in Eighth Division. She hadn't bothered trying to edge further into the water, lapping at the water where she'd kicked up mud so she swallowed down the grit. Adam sighed, patting the old girl on the head and calming her down so she didn't have to be scared. But he really needn't have bothered. Captain Skullovitch was fast and experienced; his razor aimed true and not making a sound as he slit the poor creature along an artery and then he simply helped Adam ease her down to her knees, almost milky eyes slowly easing closed as she breathed deeply a couple times more. A single twitch, an outward breath, and Adam almost felt the ridiculous urge to say a little prayer as the Captain helped turn the poor beast further onto her side. But he muscled down the urge, turning to grab the three silver buckets they'd brought out for the job; also muscling down the gag in his throat trying to burn acid outward as the sounds of the razor continuing on. Inner legs, belly, under the neck-- Adam did look away as Skullovitch put the razor away and pulled at the bloody edges of cut flesh, gloved hands finding purchase on the stomach and offal that they'd have to mix into a gruel in a recipe he LOATHED the fact he knew by heart.

Hello! I’m very interest in playlist requests :) I hope you don’t mind this is sort of two requests- if you know of any, I’d like songs that fit the vibes of these two characters and their dynamic. So it could be one or three playlists! Though I’d like to hear which is which

The Corbin is a very odd critter, as most are- ray sticks rare nose where it shouldn’t be, so ray often gets in trouble… ray do magic tricks (poorly) and arson (worse). Rare a triple S villain (Silly! Stupid! Sacrilegious!)

But ray also has a very superstitious side, and it most often comes up around Voyzuv. See, Corbin’s life used to be a lot better than it is- ray was powerful, if not respected, and now rare just a shell of remself.

And Voyzuv, in Corbin’s eyes, only exists to keep rem repressed. Ray can’t stand that Rat, so ray keeps all these warding spells and protection charms- they don’t work, of course, but it doesn’t stop Corbin from trying.

(2 songs that fit rem are the main character by will wood and way out there by lord huron!)

Voyzuv is a simple little creature who would love nothing more than to curl up in the coziest place it can find and make art, read book, nap- but, unfortunately, in order to have those cozy places the world needs to have some sense of order. Unfortunately, as the Voice Of Reason, it’s Voyzuv’s job to keep that order.

In trying to chase ghosts of a past that wasn’t all that good anyway, Corbin could seriously fuck things up. So, of course, Voyzuv occasionally needs to step in.

It feels bad for Corbin. It’s hardly Corbin’s fault ray were made this way, but everyone has their role and Voyzuv will play its part as Corbin does rare own.

Anon. To be born in the same timeline as you. To receive all of this in my askbox, for free. Like some sort of trickster god you dropped this story into my inbox nameless, for me to be blessed, and cursed. Because truly, now i will never know what happened to Corbin and Voyzuv and i will wonder for the rest of my life. Where are the 5 seasons of this?! I want you to remember me when you sign your 5 movie deal of the Corbin-Voyzuv Cinematic Universe that i was your first fan.

When trickster gods call, cowards may run, but I answer. And i feel like there is a lot to unpack here (complimentary) but can we just stop for a moment to appreciate the poetic beauty of Ray, Rem, Rare Pronouns. They are like words!!! The poetry! I'm losing my mind.

Anyway.

You asked for possibly three playlists. And in the end I made you just the one... but in turn i made it extra long (im aiming for 5-8 songs usually, not more) and i put a TON of effort into it with an extremely detailed and high concept. I think you will not be disappointed.

Corbin vs Voyzuv: The Playlist, The Mirror, The Movie!

See, Corbin and Voyzuv reminded me of two of my OCs. They are not really like real people, as they are both a little extreme of what makes them them, and they were intentionally crafted to be polar opposites that for some strange reason cannot let go of each other... because in reality, even in their surface differences, in some kind of overarching way They Are The Same... like a mirror image.

The reason why the playlist is called a "mirror" is because it works in the following way: it's split down in the middle, the upper half for Corbin and the lower for Voyzuv, but each song has a corresponding counterpart on the opposing end of the playlist that is The Same Song, but The Other One. So its more like two playlists welded together on one side, and I hope for their interaction to emerge sort of... metatextually from the way that the song pairs are interact. In the end, the playlist comes together in a song that has no pair because it is a perfect intersection between them both... finally proving my thesis statement that even though they are very different people with extremely different goals and personalities, They Are Somehow Deep Down The Same.

The playlist is shaped in this mirror way as I described but I'm going to discuss the songs in pairs because it will be easier to talk about it that way. I think you can listen to this playlist in the mirror-way and also the paired-up way and both of them will give a well formed, varied experience, which I am very proud of.

I highlighted the songs that you recommended. Btw i can't believe that i didn't think of this but that was SUCH a good idea that you gave me songs to work with. They not only gave the backbone of the concept, effectively doing almost half the job for me, but also offered me a good gauge on what genres of music you are looking for. It made everything SO much easier.

I think that... oh, this is kind of a difficult concept for me to explain, but do you know this concept from psychology... Okay, i gave up and googled it. I didnt know the name for it but i'm thinking about the Johari Window Model. So, for example, you have things that you know about yourself but you hide from everyone - or things that you dont know about yourself but they are obvious to other people. Well, what I'm thinking of, is that this is their Arena Song. Which is to say that this is the motto that they tell themselves to live by, and what they are also perceived as. This is true but also not the full truth. For one, these are songs about what I think keeps your characters motivated. But also, these songs are both a Gift. The first one, with much love, from the playlist of one of my OCs who, much like Corbin, Does Not Know When To Quit. And the second one i wanted to put here because after hearing My Rajneesh i was under the impression that you would LOVE Devin Townsend. Well, he's an incredibly varied artist, even switching genres mid-song is not unheard of with him. But there is a specific type of Devin Townsend Type of Song that you would really like, imo. Like this one.

In my perception this song was about some of Corbin's deep down fears that ray are, somewhat unaware, trying to run away from with a matchstick in rare hand. So this is for them the song of the Blind Spot. Voyzuv sounds like a deep down very anxious person who has a lot of fear especially about losing control. Sleepwalking i want you to understand as more of a metaphor, for being so reactive and fear-motivated and yet completely oblivious to it all. But it kinda works I think.

This is what i think each would tell the other one if they could, but for some reason they probably never do.

I was thinking about it for a long time what should be their overlapping song in the middle, with no answer, but then I thought, maybe I'm not seeing the forest from the trees. This song is clearly about Corbin, but it also kinda works from Voyzuv's perspective, like it is told from their viewpoint I mean? And it bops so hard. Which means that it could both be a reinvigorating, refreshing center to a playlist just before it would lose momentum, or an upbeat and catchy farewell.

So, that would be it, my dear trickster figure. I think the hardest part was that I'm not that familiar with the genre that I perceive you were looking for, and some of the songs on the playlist I also heard for the first time ever when I found them, which took a lot of research. But thanks to you now I also have a few new favorites and I really hope overall the playlist will be to your satisfaction.

Now Danny didn’t mean to make a Bootube channel. He’d meant to send that sleep deprived ramble to Tucker, but he had clicked on the wrong app and yeah. Apparently people enjoy his space rambles- or it could have been the ghost blob-cats that had decided to flop onto him. (Honestly he wasn’t surprised they would start to mimic the shapes of things in their surroundings)

And those hands are exchanging something as fragile as a paper ring, far off from what they're usually accustomed of holding in the past...

(He's holding Wolfwood's hand, he thinks again. It's soft. He wonders if he deserves to hold them.)

Except it's no longer the past, Vash knows that, and now they're here, the flimsy rings weighing heavy with the promise of tomorrows he could never hope or dream of having before. It's so comical to the point of bringing tears to his eyes.
