One thing I've realized as I've started reading more is that it's perfectly okay to use convenient moments that move the plot. Like, I knew this, but I can recall a period of obsession with being "original" and toeing the line between trying to tell a story that is compelling without having the characters and plot be too "unbelievable".

Just like in real life, sometimes a character will have a moment of uncharacteristic strength or bravery. Sometimes you do catch a lucky break. Sometimes it's okay to say "this coincidence happened because this story must progress" and that's the long and short of it and readers will forgive you for it.

I rule new vegas and the legion is finally moving on hoover dam. time is of the essence so nows the time for faction quests followed by running all the dlcs first :)

started playing the master chief collection and the idea of finishing some of these levels in halo 1 in under 15-20 minutes is kind of insane to me considering i’m literally brute forcing my way through them and have no idea where i’m going

#the closest one was the first mission #i think i was a minute and a half over par roughly #but truth and tribulations???? it took me 40 minutes #i had NO IDEA where i was going bc even with the updated graphics i can't tell where i'm supposed to be going #everything is Minimally Shaded Polygons and i am flying by the seat of my pants here #>truth and reconciliation i guess is the level name #regardless it was ANNOYING #plasma pistol my beloved tho #i leave a trail of empty pistols in my wake as i eat elites for breakfast
