going through my notes and I found some passive aggressive nature poetry I wrote more than a year ago so enjoy!

Dandelion

I found a home within the trees, long before you cut them down.

Now I stand among the buildings, so powerful, so proud.

I try to pull a piece of earth, up through your missed cracks.

A yellow flower, bright and tall, but you pulled it out.

Biodiversity

I grew a flower in my garden,

Right now I’ve lost it’s name,

But know that it was beautiful,

It only bloomed the other day.

But then they asked I tear it out,

The neighbours in despair,

Their perfect lawns were now at threat,

Too much colour for their heads,

I said no, I broke no laws,

This flower causes no harm,

I went outside this morning,

But couldn’t find it,

It was gone.

I grew a flower in my garden,

Somebody tore it out,

So tonight I rebel, gather my seeds,

You have a lawn?

I couldn’t tell:)

For reference I got a detention for pulling a single(1) flower off a bush when I was like eight (an African daisy flower to be exact) to take home to my mum to make her smile and now I’m a horticulturist (certified nature geek) so yeah I might be a lil spiteful and yes I am coming to destroy your lawn to plant vegetables and flowers to create a bio diverse environment for the bees and worms you have been warned:)

May 22nd

My twin flowers are... ? Reaching for the stars? 🤭 I don't know why the petals are suddenly standing upright. Google doesn't seem to have an answer and PictureThis deems it healthy so I'm not gonna worry. Just curious and quite amused! I'll be deadheading these four blossoms in a couple days for tea, since I'm bringing them over to my sister's for a couple weeks anyway and I don't wanna shock them too much. There are plenty of new buds forming already, so I'll have new blooms soon enough!

My creeping woodsorrel meanwhile is very happily growing in its tiny makeshift home 🤭 It's still too babie to properly transplant into its own pot but considering how fast it grows I hope this is enough for the next two weeks. We shall see!
