One of my biggest nitpicks in fiction concerns the feeding of babies. Mothers dying during/shortly after childbirth or the baby being separated form the mother shortly after birth is pretty common in fiction. It is/was also common enough in real life, which is why I think a lot of writers/readers don't think too hard about this. however. Historically, the only reason the vast majority of babies survived being separated from their mother was because there was at least one other woman around to breastfeed them. Before modern formula, yes, people did use other substitutes, but they were rarely, if ever, nutritionally sufficient.
Newborns can't eat adult food. They can't really survive on animal milk. If your story takes place in a world before/without formula, a baby separated from its mother is going to either be nursed by someone else, or starve.
It doesn't have to be a huge plot point, but idk at least don't explicitly describe the situation as excluding the possibility of a wetnurse. "The father or the great grandmother or the neighbor man or the older sibling took and raised the baby completely alone in a cave for a year." Nope. That baby is dead I'm sorry. "The baby was kidnapped shortly after birth by a wizard and hidden away in a secret tower" um quick question was the wizard lactating? "The mother refused to see or touch her child after birth so the baby was left to the care of the ailing grandfather" the grandfather who made the necessary arrangements with women in the neighborhood, right? right? OR THAT GREAT OFFENDER "A newborn baby was left on the doorstep and they brought it in and took care of it no issues" What Are You Going to Feed That Baby. Hello?
Like. It's not impossible, but arrangements are going to have to be made. There are some logistics.

Traveling opens up a world of new experiences, but it can also be stressful. Between packing, navigating unfamiliar places, and staying healthy, there's a lot to think about. These travel essentials can make your trip smoother and more enjoyable.
Here are the top 20 travel must-haves that you might not have thought of:
Packing and Organization:
Packing Cubes: These are game-changers for organization. Keep your clothes, toiletries, and tech neatly compartmentalized and easily accessible.
Compression Bags: Minimize wrinkles and maximize space with these handy bags that suck out air, allowing you to pack more in your luggage.
Collapsible Water Bottle: Stay hydrated on the go without weighing down your bag. A collapsible bottle takes up minimal space when empty.
Travel Laundry Bag: Keep dirty clothes separate from clean ones with a dedicated laundry bag. This is especially helpful for longer trips or those with limited laundry facilities.\
Shoe Bags: Protect your shoes from the elements and prevent them from dirtying your clothes with individual shoe bags.
Staying Connected and Entertained:
Portable Power Bank: Never be caught with a dead phone again! A portable power bank ensures you can stay connected and take pictures wherever you go.
Noise-Cancelling Headphones: Tune out the world and immerse yourself in your music or audiobooks with a good pair of noise-cancelling headphones.
Universal Adapter: Stay charged no matter where you are in the world with a universal adapter.
Kindle Paperwhite: Ditch the heavy guidebooks and magazines for a lightweight Kindle loaded with ebooks and audiobooks.
Travel Games: Pack a deck of cards, a travel-sized board game, or a portable game console to keep yourself entertained on long journeys or rainy days.
Comfort and Convenience:
Travel Pillow: Get some shut-eye on the plane or train with a comfortable and supportive travel pillow.
Eye Mask: Block out light and get some rest wherever you are with a sleep mask.
Ear Plugs: Drown out noise and get a good night's sleep, even in a noisy hostel or hotel room, with earplugs.
Travel Scarf: A versatile scarf can be used as a blanket, shawl, or even a headscarf, depending on the climate and cultural needs of your destination.
Quick-Dry Towels: Save space and dry quickly with a microfiber towel that's perfect for the beach, pool, or gym.
Safety and Health:
First-Aid Kit: Be prepared for minor scrapes and cuts with a travel-sized first-aid kit.

Barrels & Boards, Raynham MA.
Salad: Seafood Caprese Tower-
Pan-seared New Bedford scallops & shrimp, fresh basil, sliced tomato & buffalo mozzarella, aged balsamic glaze
Dinner: Cast Iron Portuguese Baked Haddock with diced potatoes, portuguese mozambique sauce, linguica, onions, peppers, kale & topped with sherry herb crumbs
Dessert: Creme Brûlée Cheese Cake
Barrels & Boards calls itself an Upscale Prohibition Dining experience. They offer handcrafted cocktails, local craft beers and most importantly their whisky selection.
I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a few months and I already want to go back and try more delicious meals.
I have never seen the Seafood Caprese Tower on a menu before so I had to try that. The seafood was fresh and the shrimp was warm, which was a nice contrast to the cold tomatoes and mozz cheese.
My main dish, the Portuguese Baked Haddock was to die for! One of the best haddock dish I have had. The heat from the linguica and mozambique sauce with the freshness of the haddock really had all the flavors come together nicely. I loved the potatoes with it because they helped soak up that delicious sauce. The haddock itself was melt in your mouth delicious and the breadcrumbs gave it a nice crunch.
The Creme Brûlée cheesecake was delicious, and they Bruleed the top which really added to the flavor, crunch!
This restaurant also has a market where you can get fresh baked good, fresh seafood and meat, prepared meals, pizza, etc. We did get a few take home items from their market and we enjoyed another meal. I would recommend checking out the market when you go.
Based on presentation and taste of the @barrelsnboardsma Cast Iron Portuguese Baked Haddock I would rate this dish a 10 out of 10.
