So compared to your previous nextgens like the raingilda, pinkiecord, lunadash, etc designs, is this most recent batch your most fleshed out/developed or your “main” cast of nextgens? Are their parent ships particularly dear to you?

its probably the most developed in my brain so far— that’s not necessarily because i like the ships more or anything, i think i’m just trying to myself do whatever i want this time so it’s more interesting to me :P i am also sort of using these characters as representations of things i’m thinking about or feeling recently so i’m more focused on them then i have been with other nextgens… overall my nextgens are mostly just an excuse for making character designs and thinking about canon characters more deeply and having fun

as for parents, the relationship between twilight and chrysalis is very special to me, as is the relationship between trixie and fluttershy

Redesigns! Starting with the three I’ll probably focus on!

Pinkie’s is just slight color adjustments and her new cutie mark.  I thought it should have something to do with her baking as well, because she literally lives and works at Sugarcube Corner.  I also made her mane and tail more bouncy and poofy.   Fluttershy is really just her cutie mark, but I also made her mane and tail a little longer and more droopy.  Her cutie mark is based on her old one and the flower Older Fluttershy wears in the last episode. Discord is just figuring out how to draw him in my style, it’s not much of a redesign.  However, I made his wings not attached, and his face a little more dragon-like, as well as making his horns more manageable.  

As for their relationship, Pinkie is aro/ace, and in a qpr w/ Flutters and Discord.  Flutters is ace and panromantic-demiromantic, and in a romantic relationship w/ Discord.  Discord is also panromantic-demiromantic, but pansexual as well.   Butterfly is their kid, and there will be more to come!

You all will be happy to know I've had a TwiPie kid in my pocket for years, her name is Evening Glow and she has psychic visions! She is very in tune with spiritually, tarot readings, and future seeing. I have more art of her but it's older so I've been reworking it to fit her current design 👍💕💕 Also the little reddish pink kid next to her in the family photo is her older half brother- Calamity (my PinkieCord kid) ✌
