Steve: Hey everyone, happy Thanksgiving
Y/n: Shhhh
Steve confused: Um, are we keeping Thanksgiving a secret this year?
Y/n: No dad, we’re playing this new game I learned at school. Basically you have to name all of the states in 6 minutes
Steve: What, that’s insanely easy
Y/n: Yeah, it’s a lot harder than it sounds. You always forget at least one or in some cases *looks at Pietro* 14
Pietro: It’s a stupid game and I wasn’t playing against anyone so technically I didn’t lose
Steve: Pietro, you forgot 14 states?
Pietro: Nobody cares about the Dakotas!
Steve: I just taught you the states yesterday
*The timer rings*
Y/n: Okay time’s up
Tony: I got 48
Y/n: Oh that’s not bad. Peter?
Peter: Yeah, I got tired of naming states so I decided to name the types of celery. And I have 1 type of celery
Tony: *confused and worried dad*
Y/n: Ok, Uncle Tony has 48 and Peter has the lead...in veggies. Wanda?
Wanda slams her notepad on the table: Say hello to the new champ of Y/n’s dumb states game.
Steve: Wow, how many you got?
Wanda smiling: 56
Steve: *fed up that now he has to teach Wanda and Pietro the states AGAIN*

Family matters - Wanda x romanoff!Reader
Summary: You have a secret you don't want to tell anyone for fear of being too late. Will a certain little witch manage to let you in? And above all, your relationship with Natasha will always be the same?
Warnings: angst, mourning elaboration, guilt, use of magic, physical injuries, nightmares, robbery | 16+ DNI
A/N: Strangely, I wrote it with incredible speed. But I think I did a good job. Now it's your turn to judge
Words: 5.161
Tumblr media
The Compound is huge.
There's everything from a shooting range, to multiple break rooms, to some mega-equipped labs, not to mention bedrooms.
Obviously there are many, there will be many people who will have to sleep here.
Some more than others, those like you and the twins who have no one out there in the world will stay here.
Since you two girls were the last to arrive, you had to make do with the rooms. Luckily there were two rooms quite far from Pietro's, and after you sat through a discussion on why you go so far from his room you laughed enough accompanying the brunette to your respective two new rooms.
At least, your room also had another positive side. It was opposite Natasha's
This time it only took you a quarter of an hour to rearrange the things from out of the boxes, also because compared to the room in the tower this one is much bigger, and then yes Wanda was right, with magic it would have been faster.
Oddly it had been a whole day since you had seen anyone else but Wanda so you are surprised when you finally decide to leave the room and as you turn the corner into the kitchen you find Pietro, the last person you wanted to see, who was chatting with her sister while she was cooking something.
You weren't really angry with Pietro but he made you remember something you just wanted to forget so as quickly as you left the room you come back in tears, slamming the door and closing it.
In addition to the twins you hadn't noticed that there were also others present, all puzzled when you ran away.
Maybe only two people could tell what was going on with you, and those two were Wanda and Natasha. However, the redhead seemed not to be there at the moment, so whatever Wanda was cooking, she let go and ran after her, leaving everyone stunned.
You were sick,
why couldn't you save her?
Why did Pietro yes and she didn't?
These were the questions that kept running through your head as you circled the room choking on tears when you heard a knock on the door.
Wanda seeing that you had no intention of opening her decided to act. "Y/N, it's me Wanda, please open up" she tried to coax you softly, unfortunately you were stubborn and broken so you refused to even let your presence be known.
She then tried to open the doorknob with her magic but you apparently sensed what she was doing and were thwarting her.
She had no other choice, she sat on the floor with her back against the door and she thought about what to tell you. "You know I still have to thank you for saving Pietro's life. I don't know if I would have been able to go on without him. After our parents died it was just us two against the world, we protect each other."
You were still in a panic when she started to speak but the more she spoke the more she managed to calm you down, in the end you too put yourself on the floor against the door.
She heard you were on the other side of the door and she knew you were crying because she could hear small choked sobs, you were in pain and she couldn't understand why and it made her feel bad.
"Do you remember the other day, before leaving for Sokovia, when I told you that I had been there too? Well the last time I saw my parents alive I was 10 years old. -
- It was evening and my father came home, we didn't have much money it was barely enough to survive, he had a menial job, he sold dvds of American sitcoms"
"That night, they made me choose what to watch during the tv night, you know during those moments we couldn't speak Sokovian and we had to talk another language. That's how I learned English you know? I had my favorite episode, number 21 of the second season of 'The Dick Van Dyke Show' put on."
"All of a sudden as we were watching it dark. It was just a bomb exploded a few floors below us, and when I regained consciousness Pietro found me and we hid under the bed." now she too was starting to cry, less repressed than you remembering her last moments with her parents.
Despite sobbing she decided to keep talking to you, she had to make you feel better at all costs.
"Then a missile fell just a few feet away from us, on that missile was a name… Stark" she broke off trying not to think of her growing hatred in her heart for the man a few rooms away.
"We sat down there for two long days, hoping that bomb wouldn't go off. In fact it didn't go off, maybe the only good thing from that shitty day. We ended up in an orphanage until we were 18 and then abandoned on the street."
"Full of rage and reckless as teenagers we saw in Hydra a way to defend our country and take revenge. So we ended up as volunteers for Strucker's experiments and from there with our new powers we met all of you." she then concluded calming her sobs and wiping her tears on the sleeves of your hoodie.
Hearing those words, all the pain they exuded, all that anger. Maybe you could tell her your secret, something even Natasha doesn't know.
Your mind has been off limits to her ever since you ran into the room, so when new waves of pain pass through her, pain not hers, she knows you're moving.
When you finally unlock the door you let out a single word. "I had a sister" you almost whisper for fear of admitting what you fear most.
She sees you scared, she understands that it's not easy for you to say what you're saying so she closes you in a hug as you enter the room and closing the door with red tufts.
Don't worry, no one else will know if you don't want to.
Take a deep breath knowing it will be hard to talk from now on. "I had a sister, her name was Nora. She was my big sister, basically we've always been together since I was born." you look up, with a smile watered down by tears you tell Wanda the most beautiful part of your life.
"Always smiling, she never let life get her down, and when you had some problem, any one, she would help you to solve it."
"You know this necklace I'm wearing, this lightning bolt, she gave it to me for my 15th birthday. Since she had to go to college, I was worried that she would leave and forget about me, but she gave me this necklace and said 'So I can never forget my little sister'. I've been wearing it every single day since then, after all it said that as long as I wore it she would always remember me." you try to explain, holding the pendant hanging from your neck in your hands, sometimes with trembling sighs.
"She seemed like a really good sister" Wanda encourages you by making circles on your back. You nod without answering, too overwhelmed with held back tears.
At this point, seeing you already about to collapse, she makes you sit on the bed before sitting next to you, ready to take you when you can't take it anymore.
Do you wish to continue? You don't have to if you don't feel like it
You hear the words she says to you mentally, for a while you hesitate but then you understand that you have to tell someone, you can no longer maintain this weight.
"No, I have to do this, I have to tell someone" you shake your head as you wipe the tears from your cheeks.
"A few days before she left, we were walking down the street wandering through shops looking for the last things she needed to bring."
"We were talking on a sidewalk when a suspicious guy came around the corner running in the opposite direction to us, came up and almost he wouldn't knock me down if I didn't dodge him."
"The guy ended up in the middle of the road and almost got hit by a truck if - " you can't finish the sentence because you almost get out of breath
" - Nora hadn't jumped to save him by being run over in his place." you whisper weakly reaching the limit of endurance, you can't take it, you collapse in a pool of tears and moans.
Two arms wrap you in a desperate hug as soon as you start crying louder and the only moment they let go is when Wanda gets out of bed and sits on your lap to be closer to you. Not even she knows what she's doing, she usually wouldn't be so emotional but with you in this situation she just comes naturally.
You two stay in that embrace for a long time, you hide your weeping face in the crook of her neck as she continues to hold you close and gently stroking your back.
If someone would have entered, even if Wanda would not have allowed them, they would have seen two girls sitting on a bed embracing, while the one sitting was probably crying.
This is what would have been seen on the outside, while many conversations were going on inside
You feel bad. Why did you say that? Now surely Wanda will go away and she will leave you alone like everyone else does.
Hey hey hey I'm not going anywhere. I stay here with you. I'll hold you until you feel better alright? You don't have to answer, I got you, now you can let go.
All you could think or feel was Nora and that hurts, you miss your big sister very much and you feel responsible for her death.
After all, if you hadn't dodged the guy as hard as you could, you would have fallen and scratched yourself but now Nora would still be with you.
But strangely even though you were crying Wanda's warmth comforted you, she was quietly singing something to you, you don't understand what she's saying but you assume it's Sokovian and you let yourself be lulled by the sweet words as you vent all your two years of secrecy.
When the moans have subsided into little sobs it's night time and you're very tired but you really don't want Wanda to go away, you don't want to go over everything by yourself.
"Can you stay with me tonight? Please" are the first words you've said for hours and you're begging her with your eyes still shining. "Of course" she can't help but please you, also because she herself had no intention of leaving.
It's been a while since you two slept, for the second night in the same bed, and you were starting to fidget.
Wanda awakened by your movements turns to check on you before seeing red for a few moments and then black.
For the first time, you'd had a dream so violent it was projected into Wanda's head.
When she starts seeing again she's in an apartment, with a younger version of you and two older strangers. 'You forgot about it. You forgot about her!' she hears your desperate younger version referring to what she understood to be your parents.
'How could you forget about her. She is your daughter!' you look sadder, this makes Wanda's heart ache even more because she understands what's going on.
'She was your daughter. My big sister. Nora.' she sees you get down on your knees on the ground with your face in your hands and start crying and muttering.
'I want my big sis back...she forgot about me...she promised me' you repeat like a mantra swaying back and forth.
Wanda can see and feel all the pain you are in, you miss your sister, you feel responsible for her death and your parents are not helping.
Then a bigger and bigger red wave begins to spread out from you, she feels the great power in you fueled by the pain, and she knows what happens next.
You destroy the building, remain the only survivor and then Steve finds you.
When she emerges from your dream she inhales a breath of air to materialize what she had seen.
How much suffering you had experienced, you didn't have time to dispose of it because you had to become a superheroine, a bit like her and this helps her even better to understand how you are.
She knows you need to feel happy now that you're sleeping so when you turn and try to wrap yourself around her, she lets you do it, actually she starts cradling your head when you put it on her chest.
Then she makes a decision, she will make you have the most beautiful dream of her, then she puts her fingers on your temples and they start to glow red as she browses through your memories.
When she finds the only happy memory you have of these times she is surprised to understand that it is a moment with Natasha, surely you have a very strong bond.
She must be very attached to you, she seems to act like a mother only you don't understand it or don't want to admit it.
There is something in that moment that you like so much and then she decides to make you relive it several times at least until you can accumulate enough hours of sleep.
——————————————————————
When you wake up, you're still clinging to Wanda, and to your surprise she's still asleep.
You take the time to analyze her whole face, every detail of her. She's sleeping blissfully, and since you've known her you've never seen her so relaxed, she even seems happy.
She no longer wears the many rings that she usually wears, you think she took them off before you just don't remember when, and this gives you a better way to see her hands.
Analyzing, however, a strange sensation becomes more and more insistent, as if they were many butterflies fluttering in your belly.
When you lay back down to admire the ceiling, you accidentally wake Wanda with your movements.
"Hey" she still sleepy try to say hello
"Hey you. Thanks for staying". you give thanks as you think back on everything she has done for you.
"I would do it again. But I have to tell you something" she says, leaving you time to refuse, seeing that you remain impassive, she takes it as a yes.
"Tonight I saw how your parents died. Don't take it badly but they asked for it. But then I also saw something else, the relationship you have with Natasha is something special. Don't miss the chance to have a family again" she explains, attentive to your possible reaction, mainly you remain shocked but then something changes.
"Do you think I should talk to her? I like being with her, she reminds me of when I was little. I feel safe." you speculate thoughtfully, while you think about whether she'd better run to the bathroom.
Don't even think about it!!!!
"You should talk to her" at the end she says to you and you say "Later I will".
And so you both stare at the ceiling in silence for quite some time.
——————————————————————
This was four months ago.
Since then you still haven't found the courage to talk to her and you've reduced conversations with Natasha to a minimum, limiting yourself to the bare essentials only during missions.
Your relations with the rest of the team have also worsened, you hardly ever spoke to them and only if forced.
However, this does not apply to new team members, with whom you have formed a strong friendship.
You apologized to Pietro and even if initially he didn't understand why, when Wanda explained the situation to him in private, the young man understood everything. You didn't know Wanda had told him, but you honestly didn't care, you didn't have to pour your guilt feelings on him especially if he didn't know the cause.
Wanda on the other hand was your breath of fresh air, your happy little moment, she was the only one who saw you laugh or even just talk. You spent most of your time together either in her room or yours, very often falling asleep in each other's beds after a tiring day while watching something on television.
You've discovered that in addition to powers, you and Wanda also have many things in common, such as a boundless love of sitcoms and an exceptional cooking ability.
In fact, the only other environment in which you felt at ease was the kitchen only when Wanda was there with you, otherwise you would have been almost a mirage due to the speed with which you entered and exited.
In all these shared moments she (in four months) hasn't even brought up that whole issue once, because if you had to do something, the only one capable of putting an end to it was you.
With Pietro the story was complicated, initially you saw him when he left his sister's room just before you entered exchanging embarrassed glances.
Then slowly over the weeks those looks turned into brief exchanges of words and then into real conversations, involving Wanda every time too.
When you weren't spending time with the twins, you were either on some solo mission or working out in a deserted gym.
Once you all trained together and it ended badly, at least for Pietro. He ended up crashing into a wall while he was trying to dodge two attacks from us girls regardless of where he was running.
He came away with some broken bones, but thanks to the accelerated healing he recovered by the end of the day. From that day you decided that training in three was dangerous so you created shifts of two.
You haven't said more than three words to Natasha in four months and honestly she doesn't know why.
Everything should be fine right?
She doesn't know and that's why she has to force you to tell. Only that she will need a little help, or rather two little helps.
This is why she is now in the kitchen and there is no shadow of you, but she is not looking for you, she is looking for the twins and they are right there. "Hey guys, what are you up to?" she approaches the two Sokovians completely masking her intentions.
The two exchange a quick glance before Wanda speaks. "Let's cook" she replies bluntly continuing to stir a mixture.
The redhead nods thoughtfully, as if what they're doing really matters to her, and subtly expresses her intentions. "Have you seen Y/N?"
"Nope" promptly Pietro lies shamelessly covering up your true position. "It's not true! You two always know where she is. Basically you're always together" she complains then annoyed by their too much loyalty, it's not that she annoys her it's just that now she would like it to be less.
"She doesn't want to talk to you Romanoff" Pietro gets up from the counter and stands next to his sister.
To which Natasha sighs, they are such good friends for you. "I know guys, but I need your help. She has to tell me something but honestly she can't find the courage, I know she's always been shy" she admits, leaving the two dumbfounded, she knows you really well, they can be trusted then.
"Help with what?" Wanda asks, still a little wary.
They created a plan to lock you in a room with Natasha long enough for her to talk to you, and since you were returning from a mission with Vision (the humorless being) the first place you would go would be Wanda's room.
So while Wanda waits for you as planned on her bed, Natasha hides in her bathroom ready to go out when the door lock clicks.
You're tired, the mission went quite well but Vision is really boring, sure you understand many of the scientific things he says but it's not the right time and this bores you, maybe you even miss Tony's selfishly sarcastic jokes a little.
And above all you can't wait to hug your new best friend and hear something other than philosophical thoughts about human beings.
What you don't expect is that when you enter her already open room she's on her bed and looks at you scared. "Hey Y/N, I forgot something in the kitchen, I'll go get it for a moment and then come back, you can stay here" she says before being carried away by Pietro leaving you alone with his bluish trail.
You hear the lock click and then you see the redhead you don't expect come out of the bathroom and then you understand.
You are trapped
All the alarms start ringing in your head,
you don't want to tell
or you want?,
what if she doesn't want to?
Talk to her she wants it too
hear Wanda prompt you in your head and thank yourself for being as much a telepath as she is for having this amazing form of non-verbal communication. "Alright I'll tell her, but if it goes wrong I'll blame you" you scream making sure wherever she is she has heard you and you prepare yourself for the ordeal that awaits you.
" Что за проблема, моя малышка?" (What's the problem my child?) she asks you worried
"Ты хочешь говорить по-русски? Серьезно?" (Do you want to speak in Russian? Seriously?) you argue nervously about the situation you're in
"Вы сказали, что это для чрезвычайных ситуаций. И это чрезвычайная ситуация!" (You said it was for emergencies. And this is an emergency!) she takes your angry tone, totally changing the initial setting of the conversation.
"If I have to speak I prefer to do it in English. I'm too shocked to do it in Russian." you say offended, but you're just stalling and she understands it from the way she looks at you.
"Well then, talk, I listen"
It's hard but you finally do it.
You talk to her about Nora, about your relationship with her and how you feel responsible for her death. You also tell her about your parents and how they died and especially the trigger of your anger.
But then you talk about the last few months trying to apologize and I tell her about what you did, as if she didn't know, she had seen all the cameras in the compound just to see you again. You tell her about how you became friends with Wanda and her brother and how happy you feel when you can talk to them.
She finally gets it all, all the nights you spent crying and moaning in your sleep, you were thinking about your big sister and your parents how you missed them and how guilty you felt about how they died.
She is happy that in the last few months you have found people who have been close to you and from the way you talk about it you really enjoy spending time with the twins, she couldn't wish for anything else.
But then comes the speech, the one about your relationship. "Since you came here two years ago you've made me feel something I never imagined I'd feel, a constant fear of hurting yourself but also an overwhelming amount of love. But it's not the kind of love between engaged is something motherly, something I never expected to be... a mother"
"Now, I know you have a mother, but I don't think she would want you to be alone. In that sense too. So if you want I can try to be some kind of mom" she looks at you anxiously after she finishes her speech looking for signs of rejection, but there aren't any.
You throw yourself into her arms with tears of joy in your eyes. You leave her suspended with your action until you gently whisper to her "You are already my mom".
You knew she was from the first night she was close to you during one of your meltdowns, you just felt fear that you were somehow cheating on your biological mother. But now that you knew that she too felt the same way, the road seemed easier.
Perhaps your mother from wherever she is she will be scolding you, but shouldn't a mother want only the best for her children?
Now your best was clearer, you built a family without your knowledge and found in Natasha a new mother in time of need.
If Natasha thought she couldn't be happier when she heard you calling her mom her heart melted completely. After a long time she was truly happy.
When the hug between mother and daughter is finally over you fixed your slightly messy hair. "I have Wanda to thank," you say shaking your head and thinking of your dear friend.
"She's a good girl" she replies with a slight wink at which you make a face. "Don't start with mom's advice" you beg her playfully laughing embarrassed by your mother's insinuation.
"I'll have to start from something" she makes fun of you and you reply rolling your eyes and giving your hand to your face, surrendering to such lightheartedness.
——————————————————————
You truly thanked Wanda. Since she came into your life she has always helped you and from now on you promised yourself to always be there for her. Whatever it takes
After that day your life was turned upside down. Now you didn't wake up alone anymore, Natasha was always there to wake you up even when you fell asleep in Wanda's room, sure sometimes you just wanted to stay in bed a little longer without disturbing your roommate but you were thankful to your new mum for give you all these attentions.
If breakfast wasn't ready, you prepared it for everyone, knowing their tastes and habits, many times you cooked it with Wanda while you two happily sang.
Steve would always arrive at that point, up since dawn, and he would greet you like the true gentleman he is while he took a bottle of water and left. And like two teenagers then you sneer at the compliments while continuing to cook all sorts of delicacies.
Cooking of course as well as singing and dancing you talk about your plans for the day, and every time you are disturbed by an energetic Pietro who runs around the room to distract you before slipping in to give his sister a kiss and steal a plate of bacon and pancakes.
You really don't mind, you know that's how he is, and then your second favorite moment of the morning always comes after that.
The one where Natasha comes in and she gives you a kiss on her head before taking her plate and sitting down near the counter. The best time, your whole family, together.
Now your days have changed and you spend a lot of time away from your room preferring the gym and the laboratory (now that Tony has taken a sort of gap year you are free to give vent to your free intellect in the laboratory) where you finally keep your promise, with Wanda's help you create her first suit. Obviously you don't stop there, you are committed to creating the best outfit for her twin too, preferring heat-resistant and very elastic materials.
Now the time you spend training is with many more people and not at the most unusual hours, you have resumed training with your mother like four months ago and she is surprised at how much you have improved, while you still continue to train with Wanda to master the best your powers and develop some special tactics.
The missions you do now aren't so solitary anymore and you're almost always assigned in teams with either one or both of the twins or Natasha and your espionage skills you can tell are really improving.
Now you always spend your free time with Wanda, but now in the common room sharing books, TV series and various chats.
That's what you're doing right now, sitting next to Wanda on the couch as you watch an episode of Bewitched for the umpteenth time.
You're so involved that you don't notice Natasha approaching her until you find her in front of her with a toothy smile and her hands behind her back.
"What are you keeping back there but?" you ask standing up and trying to see what she's holding on to, but she always manages to elude you. "We did it" she tells you, taking her hands away behind her back to reveal some documents, the ones for my adoption.
Immediately a smile spreads across your face and you're almost incredulous. "Are... those... are those documents?" you stammer out loud in disbelief at the situation, finally, but you didn't expect it so soon.
She nods her head joyfully and you're elated.
You lock her into a bounce hug because you have too much energy to spread for the good news that you can't help but move. "I pushed a few buttons, and asked for some Avenger favors but I finally did it, now we can make this official" she comforts you as you look over your mother's neck to see Wanda watching the loving scene familiar in front of her and a little sorry, you wish she still had her parents.
You are already part of my family, Wanda, don't forget that
Thanks Y/N but this is your moment with your mom and you shouldn't be thinking about me
I will always think of you
You briefly saw Wanda blush at those words so you returned to the actual conversation you were having with your mother. "Then where should I sign?"
Now after signing all the documents you were officially her daughter.
You were finally Y/N Romanoff
(Ah of course there was a big celebration afterwards, obviously all Tony's doing)
You've never felt happier in recent years than right now. You have it all, a family, friends and fantastic powers.
You know this won't last long but you'll make sure you enjoy it while this peace lasts.

Type: Fluff

----------------
You've unlocked a lot of skills since you grew up with your mom, but even if you could lie like a professional, there were three people who were able to tell when you weren't telling the truth: your mom, of course; your auntie Yelena; and your girlfriend Wanda (because of her power). But today you had planned something special, and you couldn't let anyone find it. It was a Tuesday; you came to school like you usually do, and you were greeted by Peter, Ned, and MJ. You talked about everything and nothing before you spotted silver hairs in front of your locker. "Hey Piet, how are you?" you asked, and he looked at where the voice came from.
"Oh, you're here," You looked confused. "Wanda wants to kill you, like literally, and I'm fast but not enough to stop her, so do something," he said and disappeared. You and your friends were stunts. Why would your girlfriend want to kill you? You started to remind yourself the last week to find out if you did something that could upset the Sokovian, but the answer came when you opened your locker. A wave of letters, and at the color and the heart stickers, that was Valentine's letter.
"Wow, you have a lot of fan Y/N" MJ commented, and you started to connect the dots. You picked up the letters and grabbed your things before heading to your math class. At the lunch break, you tried to speak with the witch, but she didn't even look at you. Okay, she gave you a cold treatment, and it was not your fault; that's not fair.
You thought about something to do, and you heard Pietro talk about training this afternoon, and you found a plan. After school, you rush to the compound "Good afternoon, Miss Romanoff, and happy Valentine's Day." Friday greeted you.
"Thanks you, Friday. Do you know where my mom is?" you asked
"Mrs. Romanoff is in the kitchen," the IA replied.
"Thanks you," and you ran to the kitchen, but before you met Maria, Steve, Sam, and Bucky, they seemed to talk about a previous mission, but you didn't mind; you greeted them and continued your course. In the kitchen, you found Natasha with a PBJ sandwich and Yelena, who was trying to cook something else except mac'n'cheese. Okay, it was weird, but you had the whole day to ask more about it. "Hey mom, hey auntie Yelena," you said loudly to not freak them out.
"Hey little poser, how was school?" The blonde asked, and you rolled your eyes at the nickname before replying.
"Horrible," you said, and Natasha frowned and raised her eyebrows. It was not uncommon for you to say 'school was... school' but this time it seems more than that.
"What happened, my love?" your mom asked with concern in her voice. You didn't reply; you just opened your bag and threw all the letters on the table. "What is that?" The sisters asked before they grabbed one letter and started to read it.
"Oh, the little witch is so romantic," your aunt commented.
"It's not from Wanda," you replied, and they both stared at you. They were expecting more: "It's from a girl or a guy in school, I don't know, but Wanda saw one of them put one letter in my locker, and she was upset all the day," when you explained you were making a PBJ sandwich too. You took a bite and spoke again: "I have to do something to tell her it was a misunderstanding, and Pietro tried to tell her, but even he didn't change anything." You took another bite: "I planned something, but I need your help," you said, and they gave you all their attention: "I need someone to distract her while I prepare a special date or something." Your mom was about to say something, but you cut her off: "Don't worry, we will stay at the compound."
"So what do you want to do?" Yelena asked
"I need you to help me cook something for her," you said to the younger widow and looked at the older, "and I need you to reschedule her training to this afternoon to give us the time to prepare anything."
"Hey, I can help in the kitchen too," your mom argued, and you both raised your eyebrows at her. "Okay, maybe I'm not as good as your auntie, but I can do something too, like be your sous-chef." You didn't lower your eyebrows and look at her sandwich; the redhead looked at the sandwich too. "Okay, but you own me a lot of cuddles for this," she said before exiting the kitchen.
After twenty minutes, you finally found a meal to do: chicken paprika. It's her favorite food, so you couldn't fail. Wanda came to the kitchen and said, "Hello, Yelena." She grabbed a bottle of water and some snacks.
"Hey little witch, how was school?" Yelena asked
"Like usual, you know school is school." She started to walk away until Yelena called her.
"Where are you going?"
"Training, Natasha, reschedule for today." She restarted walking when you spoke.
"Don't hurt my mom too much, babe," you said, but she didn't reply and walked away for good. "Oh no, don't worry, you know I love you too much to do something like that, darling. Okay, I love you. Bye,  honey. "I love you too; see you later, detka" you whispered to yourself, and your aunt couldn't hold back her laughter at your antics.
"She didn't even look at you; you're really fucked up, little poser," you sighed, and you both started to cook. It was hard, like really hard and tiring, and you failed twice, but now it was 9 p.m. and you finally made something that looked and tasted like Wanda's paprishka. You were glad and decided to take a shower before seeing your pouty girlfriend. On your way to your mom's room, you met Pietro.
"Hey little spider, how is my sestra?" He asked and walked with you.
"She was mad the last time I saw her; she didn't even look at me." Pietro lands his hand on your shoulder to show you his support, "But don't worry, Piet, I decided to make something that will bring my girlfriend back," and without another word you rush to the bedroom, then to the bathroom.
You needed this shower; like, really, the day was exhausting with Wanda, who was in a bad mood, your mom, who pouted because you didn't want to cook with her, and Yelena, who almost killed you when she tried to show you how skilled she was with a knife. Yeah, you needed this time alone. After changing yourself, you rush to Wanda's room, but before you steal a rose from the bouquet Tony wanted to offer to Pepper (they won't see), you were here in front of the door, and you were... stressed? Yeah, of course, because you know she could decide to not forgive you or, worse, not talk to you, and that would mean you did all this for nothing.
'Knock knock' the witch looked at the door and waited a little longer before hearing someone knock again. "Come in," she said, and you opened the door. She saw your face and the apology look on it; she saw the rose; and she saw your smile when she didn't throw you across the hallway after seeing it was you. Honestly, she had already "forgiven" you, and she wanted to apologize. No,  she needed to apologize. It was not really your fault if they put letters on your locker, but it was too much for her.
"Hey Wands, I want to apologize for this morning. I should've known..." She cut you off.
"Y/n stop." and you did "You don't have to apologize; I should do it, and I'm sorry. I knew it was not your fault if you received those letters, but I was scared that maybe you would want to be with them, so I acted like a child. I know I shouldn't be jealous or something; I know you love me, but I needed to be mad at someone, and I can't hurt people, so I was mad at you. You didn't deserve it, and I'm really sorry. Forgive me, Y/n, please."
You were speechless. You came to apologize and remind her that she was the only one you wanted, but now you didn't really know what to do, so you had to improvise. "Okay, I accept your apology on two conditions." She nodded hesitantly. "One, you took this rose because I think I cut myself with a thorn." She took the flower carefully, and she smirked. "And two, I want you to kiss me; like, really, I missed you all day. I start to know what Tony feels when Pepper is busy with work—"you were cut off when she crashed her lips against yours.
When she pulled away, you wanted to complain, but you both heard a voice from the doorframe: "It was like the cutest thing I've ever seen in my life." Pietro said you both blushed before you noticed what he had in his hands.
"Pietro, what do you eat?" You asked and secretly hoped he would not say what you thought.
"Oh, someone made the dinner and we were about to eat that's why I'm here." You were about to say something, but the speedster was... faster. "I don't know who prepared this paprishka, but it's pretty good." he look at Wanda "not good as yours but it's good you should taste"
"Pietro, that was not for you," they both looked at you, "it was for my date with Wanda," you added, and the witch blushed. Suddenly, Yelena appeared next to your best friend.
"Y/n, they are ruining your date with the little witch," she said, and then looked at the boy. "Oh, is it good?" She asked, and he nodded, "Good because we spent a lot of time to do this." She then looked at you and said, "You should come to eat and have 'family dinner'." She made air quotes, and you laughed.
When she and Pietro left to eat, you were alone with Wanda. "I think I hate them," you said, and she chuckled.
"We both know it's not true," she replied.
"Yeah, but I wish I could."
"If you hate them, can you keep loving me?"
"Always," and you kissed her. "Now let's go before they finish everything." You stood up and started to walk to the kitchen.
"Y/N?" Wanda called you, and you turned around to look at her "I love you."
You blushed. "I love you too, Wanda," you replied, giving her an air kiss. "Now the first at the kitchen, choose the film for tonight." You started to run.
"Hey, that's not fair!" the Sokovian started to run too. "I hate you, Y/N!" she yelled.
"We know it's not true!" you yelled back.

The vampire comes back for her but she is ready with stranges help to kill him they end up falling in love. (Fall in love with Pietro, add him in there)
Tumblr media
Tony had never forgotten the fear he had felt that day when he nearly lost his daughter, and he had absolutely never forgotten that he owed Stephen Strange big time, and he reminded the Dr every time they met that if he needed anything, to just ask. Tony could never thank that man enough for the fact that 2 years later he was able to be planning to take his daughter shopping that weekend for her prom dress for her final year, and the less exciting fact that he had to keep a close eye on his daughter’s boyfriend, Pietro.
At the time of your attack, Pietro had been away on his own mission by the order of Fury, and arrived back a few days after the carnage with the story of what happened from Wanda. He was aware Stark had a daughter but never had the opportunity to meet the girl (same with Wanda) so he and Wanda teamed up to awkwardly put together a gift basket to wish her a quick recovery and hope they weren’t crossing any boundaries. To their surprise, when they next saw Tony he told them that Y/N really liked the gift, and then asked the twins for their help; a new problem had arisen after you’d made your recovery in the form of some powers, notably increased strength, durability, senses, and the one that got Pietro involved, speed. You weren’t as quick as him, but you were never far behind, and since he’d had plenty of experience of accidentally taking off and running into a wall and hurting himself, he was called in to help you get a hang of it. You two became quick friends, and Pietro got a habit of keeping an arm around you to ‘stop you dashing off’ and the physical closeness probably helped in bringing you even closer, and about 5 months after meeting, Pietro was admitting to his twin that he liked Stark’s daughter, and Wanda told Clint, who told Natasha, who told Steve, who in the midsts of bickering with Tony let it slip, but by that point Pietro had already asked you out and there was little Tony could do as you both literally ran away from him to go on a date.
Speaking of the two of you… “Wanda, where is your darling brother?” Tony inquired, the sarcasm in his voice not going missed by Wanda who smiled, knowing that despite the threats against her brother and the teasing Pietro throws back by referring to him as his future father-in-law, that the two actually respected each other and Tony didn’t actually mind the relationship as much as he let on- proven by several times that Tony had swooped in to help Pietro in a fight, or Pietro had been the first to grab Tony when he was downed and put his arm over his shoulder and get him to safety.
“I believe he’s on a date with Y/N.” She told him, and Tony opened his mouth to ask more questions, when there was a gust of wind in the room, and the two turned to see the quick entrance of Pietro and yourself, Pietro placing you down on the floor.
“I was just asking about… Y/N? What’s wrong?” Tony’s attention went to your face, which was pale, eyes darting around in a haze, and Pietro was practically holding you up, and it was Pietro where Tony’s attention fell to next. “What happened?”
“We were walking around and she stopped when she saw someone. She said it was the thing that attacked her. I didn’t want to risk it seeing us and it attacking either of us or civillians in the process so I just grabbed her and ran back here.” He explained hurriedly to him.
“Are you sure?” Wanda asked, and despite your frazzled state, you nodded.
“I can’t forget that face… it’s ingrained in my head, and he stands out- white hair, the red eyes, the black where the white of the eyes should be… it was him. He’s here.” You confirmed, eyes finally focussing on your father, and Tony felt Wanda and Pietro’s eyes on him as well, all asking the same thing. What do we do?
“Y/N, go to the bunker on the bottom floor and lock the door behind you- only open it if someone you know is at the door that you can see on the cameras. Pietro, go get Strange, Wanda, go with Y/N, I’m going to call the others.” He instructed. He’d had the bunker installed not only in the tower, but also in all his homes for any situation after the Battle of New York for you and Pepper. He hoped to one day not need it any more and have them decommissioned, but today was clearly not that day.
“How do we know he can’t get through the door? If my powers mean anything, then he’ll rip the door off with his hands.”
“Glass is very different to several tons of steel, and also that’s what Wanda’s for- to hold the door and to stop him if he does get through, now go.” He reminded you, and Wanda took your hand and rushed with you downstairs. Tony put his attention on Pietro, who’s eyes remained on the doorway you’d passed through and vanished behind. “Speedy, focus.” Tony snapped his fingers in his face, making him jump and look at Tony. “Trust your sister. They’ll be fine. Strange knows what it was that bit her- he’ll know it’s weakness. Go tell him what happened and get him back here. As soon as you’re back, you can go join her and make sure she’s okay.” He promised. Pietro didn’t respond with any remarks, simply nodding and dashing off.
By the time Tony had sent the alert to everyone, Pietro came dashing back inside, completely missing him and immediately going downstairs, though not far behind him Dr Strange flew into the building, landing in front of him. “Where is she?”
“Downstairs in a bunker with Wanda and now Pietro. What do we do?” Tony asked immediately, spotting the book Strange had tucked under his arm- the same one as last time, and he watched as Strange pulled it from under his arm, opened it up, and flicked through, looking for something, and as Tony waited for an actual answer, Steve, Natasha and Clint came dashing in.
“Where is she?” Steve asked immediately.
“Bunker with the twins. Strange, what do we do?” Tony answered, seeing the man was now focussed on a page, his finger drifting across some words, eyebrows creased.
“Apparently there’s a link that can happen between these creatures and anyone they bite but don’t kill. It can sense she’s still alive and depending on how it feels about that, depends on what it plans to do to her.”
“As in?” Natasha asked.
“Anywhere from making her a follower to killing her because she’s competition to him. But since he tried to kill her in the first place, I think we can guess what he’s planning. But what’s more important- he can sense her right now, no matter how much you try to hide her. We have to fight him head on.”
“When you say we, that includes me, right?” Tony turned at the sound of your voice. Tony could see it in your eyes you were terrified, the way you held yourself, the way Pietro had his arm around you and had his eyes on you to make sure you were alright, but he could see the determination behind your eyes.
“Yes. It does. I’m not sure who would be best in the fight- you’re now immune to his bite, but if he bites anyone else, he’ll either turn them or kill them- more likely the latter since it’s venomous to humans unless they have a certain gene or know someone who knows the Mystic Arts. A trap to catch him by surprise, and a thick layer of armour for anyone involved. Me and Wanda should be able to keep him away from ourselves and protect ourselves- Stark, your suits should be thick enough but a swipe can cause serious damage so be careful- Pietro, I know you’re faster than Y/N, but I don’t know if he’ll be faster. The only person who stands a chance at getting up close and personal with him is Y/N herself.”
A plan was thrown together as quick as the team could muster- Natasha was placed in charge of the security to shut the guy in when he arrived, and Clint was waiting on the sidelines with Steve to evacuate everyone from the nearby area incase the incoming fight escaped the tower. Pietro was, quite unwillingly, hiding with Natasha to await to see if he could be of use, your father was in one of his suits that was perfectly still, acting like the suit was merely on display along side several others, and in the same room was Strange and Wanda, who were both concealing themselves with their powers, and yourself, waiting. Your eyes darted around the room, waiting for any sign of the creature, making sure your backup was still there, that you weren’t too close to the windows… you were scared, that much was obvious. Luckily, or maybe unluckily, it wasn’t long until the monster burst it’s way into the room, the sliding door not having time to open and instead burst through with bent shrapnel metal bursting out, luckily not too close to yourself.
The moment it looked up, it’s eyes meeting yours, a wave of uncontrollable fear came over you. That thing attacked you in your own home with no warning or reason, fully intent on killing you in a painful and excruciating way purely for a fill. And now here he was, here for round two. He made the first move, taking a dashed step towards you without a word, though before he could get within slashing distance, a blast sent him flying into a wall. You glanced over, seeing your father, having seen you freeze up, exposed himself from his hiding spot to cover you. It gave you a moment to breathe, and now that the jig was up, Wanda and Strange revealed themselves well.
“Oh, so you’re playing dirty?” The vampire growled at you.
“You’re one to talk” Your father responded, it’s eyes on him as it moved again, this time towards him. However, this time you didn’t hesitate or tense up, instead you moved forward as well, and put your weight forward on your shoulder as you rammed him back, before turning onto your other foot, and using your weight and power to land a decent punch on him. With that, the fight properly began.
You and your father worked with doing the actual damage between hits from you and blasts when the vampire was far enough way from your dad. Wanda and Strange helped where they could, creating shields when they saw a hit coming, and restraining it for short periods of time for you and Tony to get hits in. Despite all their work though, as Strange suspected, the vampire was far more powerful than yourself. A hit from you hurt him and made him groan, but when it was returned you lost your breath every time, and when he managed to get a hit on your dad, he was down for a hot minute. This was taking longer than you thought, and the blood loss from your injuries as well as your exhaustion was starting to kick in, your moves becoming more sluggish, your hits doing less damage, and it wasn’t much long after that when the vampire was able to knock your dad down again, Wanda going to assist him, and it took the chance to charge at you, pining you to the floor, and that fear you had thought you had overcome, returned. The way he grinned down at you in victory told you that he had you exactly where he wanted you, and he was going to do a final blow. You heard Strange call your name, the sound of him preparing his powers to try to assist you, the call of your father, his voice breaking and glitching from within his suit. Finally, a third voice came from Wanda, though she didn’t call your name. “Pietro!” She called. The call caught the vampire off guard, having not heard the name before, and he glanced at her for a moment, but a moment was enough as a gust of wind rushed the room, a brute force hitting the vampire and knocking it off of you, and now a new body stood over you, that of your boyfriend, Pietro. His bash clearly surprised the vampire, and it allowed Strange to finish his spell, hitting the vampire while he was down, your dad getting some energy back, able to get up and start charging up the suit, and Wanda was up, her red magic dancing around her hands.
“Are you okay?” Pietro’s voice reached your ears as he looked back at you, pulling you into his arms and helping you up. “Have you got this handled?” Pietro called.
“We’ve got this, go.” Strange confirmed, and Pietro didn’t hesitate to grab you and dash off. The vampire tried to get up to go after you, but Wanda pinned him to the ground with her magic, using as much strength as she could to keep him down. “Act quick, Tony.”
“Don’t have to tell me twice.” Tony assured, walking over, standing over the monster, pointing his charged up glove at the creature’s head that growled up at him. “You don’t get to hurt my little girl and get away with it.” Was all he said before he fired.
Hope you like it! If you have any questions, please send them in!

So, I'm not a prisoner?
Tumblr media
masterlist part 1 part 2 part 3 extra
summary: you did not expect that your mission to take down the traitor, could end in such a difficult situation for you…
pairing: Natasha x Red Room teen reader
warnings: fighting, weapons, stabbing, blood, implied sexual abuse
genre: fluff, angst
words: 3073
a/n: I wanted to do a fic like this for so long!!!! anyway, I just kept scouting tumblr trying to find fics like this, so I figured I’d finally write one myself :)
You do not have my permission to repost, copy or translate my work
 |——————————— ⴵ ———————————|
A quick in and out. That was your mission. How on earth did you manage to screw it up so bad. In and out. Assassinate the traitor and come right back.
Dreykov would’ve been so proud.
But that didn’t happen. No. Every single aspect about that night failed to go according to plan. You snuck into the event Stark had hosted, was able to blend in with the other party goers, and you were able to hide when most of the people started to leave.
Once it was just the Avengers left, you stayed in your hiding spot, observing them. You were here to kill Natasha Romanoff, and Natasha Romanoff only.
You could not afford any casualties, so you had it all planned out.
You’d wait until the Avengers would leave, and you’d take Natasha out before she could make it to her living quarters. You knew that once she made it to the living space of the Avengers tower, getting to her would be a lot harder.
However, against all odds, Natasha excused herself from the group quite early, saying she wanted to get a good nights sleep.
You internally cursed yourself, hating that this wasn’t something that you had planned for.
Around the couches were still some Avengers sat. You recognised all of them. Clint Barton shouldn’t be too much trouble. He was only a guy who’s good with a bow. For Maria Hill could be said the same thing, except she’s very skilled with a gun.
No, you were worried about the other Avengers still seated. Tony Stark could call upon his armour in mere seconds. Thor had the power of thunder for god’s sake. Wanda Maximoff has exceptional powers, and therefor, if you were to attack with her still in the room, you’d be immobilised in an instant.
You were fairly certain you didn’t need to worry much about Bruce Banner. Sure, he could turn into the Hulk, but he didn’t turn often, and lately, the Hulk hasn’t been spotted in the battlefield, meaning he probably had many trouble turning into him.
Pietro Maximoff shouldn’t bring you a lot of trouble either.
Your main concern were Bucky Barnes and Steve Rogers. One Super Soldier you could handle, but two? While fighting the rest of the Avengers? That wasn’t going to work.
Lucky for you, Wanda Maximoff had excused herself from the gathering a while ago. If you didn’t make to much noise, she wouldn’t be much of a problem. You could be outside before she’d even make it to the party deck.
Your original plan was to just wait. Natasha Romanoff would have usually sat through a party until far into the evening. You’d know, you’ve been watching her for weeks.
However, now that Romanoff has announced she was returning to her bedroom, a slight panic ran through your body.
Dreykov gave your 5 weeks to finish this assignment. That’s longer than any assignment you’d ever been on. You could not disappoint him with this. You had to kill the traitor.
You figured now was your only chance, and so, as Natasha Romanoff made her way towards the elevator, you followed her.
However, not even to your surprise, she stopped in the middle of the hallway.
“You know I’m an assassin, too? You’re good, but you’re not un noticeable,” she states, calmly turning around, being met with a gun to your face. The moment she stopped, you were wise enough to draw your gun, holding her at gunpoint for any sudden movements.
You could see a slight surprise appear on her face, before her face returned to her poker face once again.
“You’re just a child…” Natasha spoke slowly, seeming almost disappointed.
“You’re a traitor,” you spoke, loading the gun, taking a step closer. Natasha simply shook her head. “I’m sorry,” she spoke, before leaping towards you. You shot your gun, but Natasha was too fast, avoiding your gunfire as she ran past you, back to the other Avengers.
How on earth could you have missed that shot? She was right there.
Pathetic.
You don’t hesitate to run after her, determined to finish this tonight.
Very much not to your surprise, the moment you run back into the party hall, the Avengers are already standing up and ready. Ready to fight you.
You don’t hesitate to move forwards, and after fighting Clint Barton for mere seconds, you quickly realise they have no intention of hurting you. You could use that to your advantage, and you do.
You kick Barton hard, leaving him on the floor, heaving for air as you move forward, taking on Maria.
However, the moment you get close to Maria, two strong arms wrap around your body, pulling you back. They’re holding you tightly, and it doesn’t feel like they’re planning to let go.
You struggle in the hold, fighting against who ever is holding you as you try to break free. A small panic runs through your body. The fear of being captured by the Avengers taking place in your mind. You do not fear the Avengers, but the thought of being seen as a traitor by Dreykov hurts your heart more than words could describe.
“Stop struggling. We can help you,” you hear a voice behind you speak, and you soon come to realise the person you’re fighting is Captain America himself.
No wonder you couldn’t get loose.
Knowing it’s a Super Soldier, you’re quick to outsmart him, making him think you’re getting tired, relaxing your body is his hold. Because of this, the Captain lightens his grip a bit, giving you enough room to wiggle your arm free, moving it backwards to hit him in the face with your elbow.
Because of the surprise, he lets you go, allowing you to stand again.
The moment your feet hit the ground, you dash forward, holding up your knife as you use everyone’s shock to your advantage.
Everyone is surprised by your capability of escaping Steve’s grasp, not realising your already moving towards Natasha again. You reach her quickly, stabbing your knife into her stomach as far as it can go.
Natasha gasps, and you pull the knife out, watching as all the blood starts to seep from her stomach.
Slowly, Natasha sinks to the ground, Maria catching her, helping her down.
You move towards Natasha again, determined to get the job finished, but are quickly stopped by another pair of arms wrapping around your waist. You immediately recognise the metal arm, knowing that the Winter Soldier holds you in his grasp. You can’t escape him. You never have.
He pulls you backwards, pushing you to the ground as he tries to punch you. However, you regain yourself quickly, rolling away from under him and kicking him in the face.
Suddenly, you’re moved across the room. You forgot the damn speedster…
You raise your knife quickly, stabbing him before he has a chance to make another move.
“PIETRO!” you hear a voice yell, and you turn your head to the right. Shit. Wanda Maximoff must have heard the commotion and went down to take a look. You have to get out of there. You will never win a fight with her.
You move quickly, running towards the stairs. However, before you could reach them, you felt a stabbing pain in your left shoulder, the sound of a gun shot following soon after. You had been shot. Bucky Barnes had shot you in an attempt to slow you down.
But you didn’t let it.
Instead, you went towards the stairs a little quicker, dashing down the hundreds of flights of stairs to get to the main floor.
Of course, all SHIELD agents on the main floor were already expecting you, and you were followed by Steve Rogers, but you were quicker than him. You knew that.
You dashed past all the SHIELD agents, avoiding their gun fire as you made it towards an emergency exit.
The moment you stepped outside, you started your escape route. You already planned it, knowing exactly which way to go, no matter which way you would exit.
Steve followed you outside, but the moment he set foot outside the door, you were gone. You had disappeared into the night, leaving no trace.

Back in the Avengers tower, the team was recovering from your attack. Natasha was in bad shape. Your strike had been an attempt to murder her, and you didn’t miss any organs as you pierced your blade through her abdomen.
Pietro was much better. He was back on his feet quickly, seeing as though you stabbing him hadn’t been a murder attempt. You merely wanted to distract him.
It didn’t take long for Natasha to get back on her feet either, even though she was advised to stay on bed rest after the surgery.
Natasha was determined to find you, and she quickly got to work.
Even though you had made it out of the Avengers tower quickly, you were still hurt, and some of you blood had fallen on the floor as you made your escape towards the stairs. Clint and Maria had collected that blood, running multiple tests, only to find out you were not registered anywhere.
There was no record of your existence. Were you just another ghost story?
What they did find were traces of the Super Soldier serum. However, they were modified, almost as if they were genetically a part of your system.
Did that mean you were just another Hydra experiment? Natasha did hear you calling her a traitor. That had to mean you knew Dreykov, right? Who else viewed her as a traitor. I would make sense. Sending a modified teenage assassin after her, knowing Natasha was above killing children.
Even in the Red Room, she always hesitated when sparring against the younger students.
Dreykov must have had a lot of faith in you to send you after her. Natasha can only hope you’re not a graduate yet…
-------------------------------------------------------------
After the incident in the Avengers tower, you had fled to Germany. You figured it was best to leave the United States completely. And why would they ever search for you in Germany?
You had rented an apartment, loving the small town you had chosen. Dreykov had given you 5 weeks to finish the assignment, and now, you had only 1 week left. There is now way that you’re going to succeed in killing Natasha within the week.
They know you are after her now, and they will be prepared for you to make a return. You screwed it up.
Sloppy.
Right now, you were just heading back to your apartment. You had taken a walk, deciding to make the most out of the freedom you had in the moment. The week would be over soon, and the moment Dreykov would send for your return you are certain you will not be seeing daylight any time soon.
After you arrived in the apartment building, you instantly felt watched.
Had the Avengers found you?
You made your way up to your apartment, pushing the key into the lock and walking through the small hallway. Someone was in here, you could feel it.
You walked into the kitchen, grabbing a glass and filling it with water, keeping your back towards the living room.
“There are not a lot of places to hide in this apartment,” you spoke aloud into the emptiness of the apartment. Soon you heard a set of footsteps, and you felt another presence enter the room.
“You’re very skilled for your age,” you heard a voice behind you say, and you immediately recognised it as Natasha’s.
“And you are stronger than you look. I mean, even for you, I didn’t expect you to be on your feet so quickly,” you stated, turning around slowly. Natasha wasn’t holding a weapon in your face, something you were definitely expecting.
You scanned her quickly, seeing the weapons she held on her belt.
She didn’t come unarmed. Good. She’d be stupid to.
“I don’t mean you any harm,” Natasha said, taking a small step forward as she held her hands in the air, showing you her every movement.
You didn’t look impressed, instead just staring at her as she moved.
“Then you are a fool,” you told her, and you spotted a small smirk flashing over Natasha’s face. “And you are very full of yourself,” she said, moving towards the kitchen island, leaning on it.
“I can’t say I blame you. You took on a lot of the Avengers on your own. Even two Super Soldiers. That’s impressive,” she stated, giving you a small smile. You didn’t return it.
“What? Jealous someone better took your place when you betrayed us,” you asked Natasha, determined to get on her nerves.
Natasha’s smile dropped quickly.
“Quite the opposite, actually. I hoped no one would ever have to go through it again,” she told you, a hint of regret almost identifiable in her expression. Now it was your time to give her a small smile.
“You think you’re so important that everything should’ve ended with you?” you asked her, moving towards the kitchen island as well, setting your glass down, still holding onto it.
Natasha shook her head.
“What I am curious about, however, is the genetic Super Soldier serum that runs through your DNA,” Natasha paused, adjusting her stance before speaking again. “Tell me, was your dad a Super Soldier?”
You let out a huff of amusement, surprising Natasha.
“You think I believe you’re just here for a conversation? There are SHIELD agents placed on every corner of every street. Don’t think I didn’t notice it. The lovely young couple, drinking coffee at the restaurant downstairs? Amazing disguise, if you were trying to trick nine year olds,” you stated, finishing your glass of water.
Natasha smiles, clearly impressed with your observations.
“You’re right. I’m not here for just a conversation, although I do hope we can prevent violence,” Natasha started, but before she could continue you interrupted her.
“You’re here to bring me in.”
Natasha nodded, and the look on her face was almost apologetic.
“No one needs to get hurt. If you just come with me, there’s a big chance you could avoid confinement,” Natasha explained, yet you just scoffed and shook your head.
“Avoid confinement? Yeah right. There is no way, that after what I have done, your people won’t lock me away.”
“I can be very persuasive,” Natasha simply replied.
There was a small silence. Natasha knew you were debating your options. You didn’t seem like a brainwashed sheep. She knew that you knew better than trusting Dreykov’s lies. Sure, you still believed she was a traitor, but there is no way that you didn’t see that what Dreykov is doing is wrong.
“You know going back after a failed mission will result in punishment,” Natasha started, trying to get through to you. Trying to give you that little push you needed to go with her. “If you go with me, you’ll never be punished like that ever again,” she finished.
You looked up, deep in thought.
“How could you be so sure?” you asked her, and Natasha didn’t hesitate to respond.
“We can keep you safe-”
“I found you. I nearly killed you. Who’s to say some other Widow won’t come after me as well?” you replied, and Natasha gave you another small smile.
“I escaped the Red Room when I was 20,” Natasha started. “It took him 12 years to send someone after me. We will make sure we’ll take him down before he even has the chance to come after you.”
“How many times, did you try to kill him, exactly? Because I believe you attempted his murder twice already, both of which you failed. You blew him up in Budapest, and then another time when you took the air facility down. Do you honestly think you’ll succeed now?”
Natasha shook her head, seemingly recollecting her thoughts.
“I failed twice, and that was sloppy, but both times I didn’t have the Avengers on my side. You ran the moment you saw Wanda. You know what she is capable of. Taking down the Red Room for good shouldn’t be too difficult with the Avengers on our side,” Natasha explained, yet you just shook your head.
“I’m not like you,” you told her, yet Natasha just looked at you in confusion.
“I’m not some disposable widow like you were. I’m more important,” you explained, and Natasha gave you a sad smile.
“Everyone is just a disposable widow to him,” she started, but you interrupted her.
“I’m not. You tested my blood. You know I carry the Super Soldier serum. I’m not just some girl he picked up from the streets,” you explained, and Natasha gave you a small nod, encouraging to keep going.
“I can’t explain it, but he won’t just let me walk. He put too much time in my creation. He would never just let it go to waste,” you finished, looking down, avoiding Natasha’s gaze as you turned around, putting your glass by the sink.
“We’ll help you. I know that we can,” Natasha tried.
“Is it worth the risk? My life is not great, but it’s not terrible either. Dreykov values me, and I am not treated like a piece of meat, unlike you might suspect.”
“So the punishment is worth it, then? Knowing that in three days time, Dreykov will have you be recollected, and once you return to the Red Room, you’ll be punished severely for a failed mission,” Natasha paused, allowing you to let her words sink in.
“Or, in three days time, you could know you can go to bed without worrying about someone joining. You could know you can be safe, and sleep through the night without anyone disrupting you. Knowing that, is the choice really that hard?” Natasha finished, and you were almost at your breaking point.
Was it worth it? Was going back the best decision? Dreykov would hurt you, you knew that, but you deserved it. Didn’t you?
“Please, just come with me. We can help,” Natasha spoke, nearly begged.
You sighed deeply.
“Fine, but if you put me in a cell, I will go on a murder streak,” you told her, and Natasha let out a chuckle, before seeing your facial expression, and realising you were dead serious.
“Duly noted,” Natasha said, before motioning you towards the door.
What had you done…

18+ MINORS DNI
Wanda Maximoff had struggled throughout the last years of her teens and her early twenties. The twins are now 7 years old and she manages to keep a small two bedroom apartment over their heads. She never received much financial help from her parents, other than her mom sneaking her some groceries or new clothes for the three of them.
What she never thought that her life would change the moment she stepped into her local grocery store, bumping into a woman, slightly taller than herself.
“I’m so sorry.” Wanda apologised as her cheeks flushed a deep red in embarrassment.
“It’s ok.” The mysterious woman smiled at her. “My eggs aren’t broken so my sister won’t have my head just yet.” She joked with a smirk.
“I.” Wanda was lost for words as she looked into the mysterious woman’s eyes, only just noticing that she wore dress pants, shirt and a leather jacket.
“I’ll see you around sweets.” She said as she walked past her, Wanda’s eyes followed her as she also picked out the box of mac n cheese and hot sauce before heading towards the check out. Once Y/N had left the building, Wanda let out a breath as she soon carried on with her own shopping before her brother dropped the twins off.
As the days went by, she couldn’t get the mysterious woman out of her mind. Her eyes had imprinted into her memory. It wasn’t until weeks later that she met her again, but at a family gathering to celebrate her brother’s engagement.
“Hey you.” She spoke as she stood beside Wanda at the buffet table. “I never thought I would see you again.”
“Well, I am a hard woman to find.” Wanda played along as Y/N smirked, pressing her lips together as she thought of a remark.
“Well, I never thought I would see you here at my colleague’s engagement.” She smirked as Wanda turned to face her.
“So, you work with my twin?” Wanda asked as Y/N nodded.
“Yes, we are currently working on a project together.” She leaned in before continuing. “It’s top secret.” Wanda’s hairs stood on the back of her neck as a blush started to creep up her face. “I’m Y/N Belova.”
“Wanda Maximoff.” She shook Y/N’s hand as the two soon started to fall into easy conversation. As the night soon came to a close and everyone started to disperse. Y/N congratulated the newly engaged couple before approaching Wanda.
“Is it too forward if I say you were the most stunning woman here tonight.” Y/N spoke as she brushed some of Wanda’s hair behind her ear, her twin and his fiancèe watching the whole interaction with smirks on their faces. “Can I maybe get your number, you know so we can maybe meet up again. Just us?”
“Yeah.” Wanda stuttered as she took Y/N’s phone from her, entering her number and saving it before Y/N kissed her cheek before bidding goodbye.
“So?” Pietro teased as Wanda swatted his arm.
“The guest room is set up for you Wanda.” Monica told her. “The twins are already asleep in their cots.” Wanda thanked the two before joining her two 7 year old boys. Smiling as they slept cuddling their plushies before she turned over herself.
The first date went by smoothly, her parents had the twins while Y/N had opted to take her to a chinese restaurant downtown.
“So, what about you?” Y/N asked Wanda. “You know a lot about me now, let me know who you are.”
“Well, I work in a bar.” Wanda spoke coyly, not really giving her real occupation. “I also have two 7 year old boys.”
“Really?” She asked her, with a shocked expression on her face.
“I understand if you don’t want to take this further.” Wanda started to gather her things before Y/N stopped her movements.
“I never said that.” She spoke sincerely. “I was shocked because we are the same age and you must have been 17 at the time of their birth.” Wanda sat playing with her fingers nervously. “All I am saying is I don’t care if you have children, I just want to be able to take you out, make you feel like the most beautiful woman on the planet, because well, you are.” Wanda chuckled lightly as Y/N smiled. “I want to see this through Wanda, maybe meet the twins when you’re ready of course.” Wanda nodded as the two finished the evening, with Wanda telling her about the twins, about how they’re polar opposites.
Their first kiss was shared on their third date, Y/N had opted to take Wanda on a pedal boat down the river, something which Wanda was weary about.
“I feel awful.” She whispered as Y/N looked at her curiously. “I can’t afford to treat you as you do me.” Her eyes glistened with unshed tears.
“I enjoy treating you Wanda.” She told her honestly. “I want to treat you how I believe a woman should be treated, and I don’t care if you can’t return the favor because you being here with me, is all I ever want from you.”
“How is this not a dream?” She whispered as Y/N smiled at her.
“Well, the moment you answer my question, you will understand that this isn’t a dream.” Y/N smiled tenderly as she held her hand out for Wanda, helping her out of the boat and onto the dock. “Wanda Maximoff, will you be mine?”
“Yes.” She breathed as she stepped forward, kissing Y/N passionately as she wrapped her hands around her neck. They broke the kiss as the smiles on their faces grew, pressing their foreheads together.
“You make me so happy Wanda Maximoff.” Y/N whispered before Wanda pressed her lips to Y/N’s once more.
As Wanda needed more money, she had to take on more shifts at the club, leaving the twins with Agatha, her neighbour, but she also had to cancel on some dates that she and Y/N had arranged, just so she could make ends meet.
As the months went on, the two grew closer and their feelings grew deeper. Y/N knew before Wanda that she was in love with her. She wanted to tell her but every chance she had, she chickened out.
“Come on Y/N.” Maria smirked as she wrapped her arm around her best friend’s arm. “It’s my night!”
“I know.” Y/N smirked as Maria dragged her into the club, Sharon and Daisy behind them. “You are marrying my sister.”
“And you are my maid of honour.” Maria smirked as Y/N nodded. Groaning as she realised the club they had entered. “Come on, I deserve this. I am going to be with Nat for the rest of our lives.” She pleaded as her eyes caught sight of one stripper walking by.
“Fine.” Y/N nodded as Maria dragged her to the bar, buying their drinks before taking a seat in front of the main stage.
“Now please welcome our very own Scarlet!” A voice sounded over the music, everyone’s eyes on the curtains as a woman in a red lace lingerie walked towards the pole in the center of the stage.
They watched as she moved to the music, doing her routine before Maria nudged Y/N’s arm.
“Is that?” She questioned as Y/N’s eyes met Wanda’s.
“Wanda.” She whispered as she moved away from the stage, taking her glass with her and downing it before heading towards the bar, taking a seat in a vacant stool.
“I’m sorry Y/N, I didn’t know she worked here.” Maria apologised as Y/N waved her off.
“Neither did I.” Y/N spoke bitterly as she spotted Wanda approaching her.
“Y/N, can we talk after my shift?” Wanda asked as Y/N clenched her jaw, watching how most of the men had their eyes on her half naked form.
“Sure.” She finished another drink before asking for a refill. “I’ll be here.”
“I think you should stop Y/N.” Maria told her as she took the drink away from her.
“What time do you get off?” Y/N asked her as Wanda looked at the clock behind the bar.
“Two hours.” She answered as Y/N nodded, pursing her lips as she stood up.
“I’ll be outside.” She told her before leaving the bar, Wanda’s eyes watching as she disappeared. Maria went back to the others as Wanda finished her shift before collecting her tips at the end. Heading out to see Y/N sat on the curb, the rain pouring down as Wanda approached her.
“Let’s get you home.” Wanda whispered as Y/N took her hand, the two headed towards Y/N’s apartment before Y/N let go of her hand, only five blocks away from her apartment.
“Why didn’t you tell me you’re a stripper?” Y/N asked her, pain in her eyes. “Do you not trust me enough to tell me?”
“No.” Wanda told her. “Of course I trust you, I trust you with my life and Billy and Tommy’s lives.”
“Then why did you lie to me?” She asked her, the rain pouring down heavier as Wanda sighed.
“I was ashamed.” She answered her. “I thought that if you found out about my job, you would think less of me. You would think I’m a whore.” Y/N shook her head as Wanda chuckled, moving her hair out of her face. “It’s what everyone thinks, my father thinks that of me without the whole stripper job because I got pregnant and had the twins at 17. I never graduated high school, never went to college or even had a job while in high school. It was all I could get to be able to put a roof over our heads, food in our stomachs and clothes on our backs. I try to put money away for the twins' college funds and that isn’t working very well.”
“Wanda.” Y/N whispered as she stepped closer, her hands reaching out as Wanda slapped them away.
“Just say it.” Wanda spoke shakily. “Just say that it’s over and we can’t see each other. Just do it.”
“No.” Y/N shook her head as she took Wanda’s face in her hands. “I never want to say goodbye to you.” A small smile formed on her face. “I love you Wanda. I am so in love with you that not having you in my life hurts me. It physically hurts me.” Wanda listened as she spoke. “I think you are the strongest woman I have ever met in my life. You have raised two wonderful boys on your own. You have provided them with everything they need and more. You did all of that while working a job that not many people would take.” She gazed into Wanda’s eyes. “And that is pretty fucking amazing to me.”
Wanda pressed her lips to Y/N’s in a passionate kiss, her hands holding onto Y/N’s wrists as they pulled away. The two panting as Y/N spoke.
“Let’s go home.” She whispered as Wanda nodded, Y/N taking her hand as they practically ran to her apartment. Once the door was closed, Wanda started to remove her jacket before she pulled Y/N in for a searing kiss. Gripping onto the collar of Y/N’s jacket before she pushed off of her, leading her way towards Y/N’s bedroom. Pulling away completely as she pulled her own top over her head, revealing a different bra to what Y/N had witnessed her in, Y/N stepped closer as Wanda’s hands reached behind her back, unclasping her bra before Y/N’s arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her flush against her.
Caressing her face as she brushed the wet hairs away from her face, soon moving her thumb to softly graze Wanda’s already swollen lips. Watching as Wanda opened her mouth to take Y/N’s thumb, sucking on it as she started to unbutton Y/N’s shirt. Slipping it off before she bit onto Y/N’s thumb.
Y/N watched as Wanda swapped places, pushing Y/N onto the bed, leaning up on her elbows as she watched Wanda finish stripping until she stood bare. Sighing as Wanda straddled her lap, her chest brushing against Y/N’s as she leaned in to kiss her fiercely. Y/N’s hands gripped into Wanda’s flesh, keeping her close to her as she pushed her tongue through Wanda’s lips, making her moan as their tongues danced together.
“Ride my face.” Y/N whispered as they pulled away slightly.
“What?” Wanda asked unsurly.
“I said.” Y/N husked out. “Ride. My. Face.”
Wanda didn’t hesitate in moving so her aching core was lined with Y/N’s face. Y/N’s hands holding onto Wanda’s thighs as she lowered herself down, sighing at the contact as Y/N’s tongue ran through her folds. Gasping as Y/N’s teeth grazed her clit before thrusting her tongue into her hole. Wanda gripped the headboard as she thrust her hips, Y/N’s nose hitting her clit the right way as Y/N pulled her down more.
“I’m so close.” Wanda whispered followed by a guttural moan as Y/N pulled her closer, her tongue going deeper than before, soon sending her over the edge. Her thighs clenching as Y/N lapped up every drop before Wanda moved from her. A sigh leaving her lips as she lay beside Y/N, watching as she moved to get something from her closet before stripping.
“Are you ok my love?” She asked Wanda as she hovered above her, their skin ghosting over Wanda’s.
“Yes.” She breathed out as she looked up into Y/N’s eyes. Her arms wrapped around Y/N’s neck, pulling her down and kissing her hard, their tongues dancing as Wanda gasped, feeling the strap run through her folds as Y/N rolled her hips.
“Tell me if you want me to stop.” She reassured the woman beneath her. Slowly insert the silicone toy, inch by inch until it was all inside. Wanda’s legs wrapped around Y/N’s waist as she started to thrust her hips lightly. Swallowing Wanda’s moans as their kisses became none existent. Their hips moving together as Wanda kept Y/N’s body flush against her own.
“Fuck.” She gasped as Y/N lifted her legs, throwing them over her shoulder, hitting her at a different angle, making her mewl at the new position, clenching around the toy as she could feel herself getting closer. “I’m so close.” She screamed as Y/N moved to capture her lips in a rough kiss, the two moaning as their nipples brushed together. Wanda’s legs soon trembled as she came, screaming Y/N’s name as she slowed her movements, helping Wanda ride out her high.
“I love you.” Y/N whispered as she caressed Wanda’s cheek, a smile on her face as she admired the woman below her.
“I love you more.” Wanda whispered before kissing Y/N softly, both were finally happy with their lives, having confessed their feelings for the other, despite their fears and insecurities.

Summary: In the aftermath of Ultron, two Sokovians find themselves contemplating their pasts and their loneliness in the present. When their paths cross again, they might just find comfort in one another's company.
Word Count: 1379 Pairing: Wanda Maximoff x Reader Warnings: grief/loneliness/a lot of reflection on topics of that nature A/N: First part of a short series of sorts? Childhood friends to lovers kinda vibe which maybe could have been a one shot but I wanted to try something different! I have the next part written but after that, let me know what you'd like to see happen between Wanda and R (any interactions/conversations to be had/etc.) and it might influence where this story goes 👀
Part 1 of 'half of my hometown' series masterlist next part ->
»»————- ★ ————-««
If there’s one thing she knows, it’s grief.
Wanda Maximoff was born and raised in a war-torn country; she’s borne witness to a lifetime of destruction, endured suffering, and experienced the slow death of dreams. It seemed like there could be no worse feeling since she’d already experienced it all, but life seemed determined to prove her wrong.
After all that, it took her brother.
If her life were to be likened to the myth of Pandora’s Box, then Pietro Maximoff would have been her hope – the one bright light in her life that she believed could never fade, that would never leave her. From the second she was born, and for 26 years thereafter, Pietro had always been by her side; no matter what happened, they went through it together, reacted together, and emerged alive on the other side together. For all their disagreements, Wanda couldn’t think of a single experience she hadn’t shared with Pietro. Which makes this new feeling – the painful, unenviable knot of loneliness in her heart – all the more terrifying.
Pietro will never share it.
Months continue to pass, with Wanda taking notice of nothing but herself becoming more withdrawn, avoiding Stark's parties and spending more time in her room, where she can let the loneliness consume her. She really did try when the Avengers first brought her to America, but Pietro had always been the social twin, and the conversations only made his absence more pronounced.
Wanda's mood worsens as her loneliness grows, but only she can see the change in herself. The team hardly noticed the difference -- they hadn't even known her before her grief, so how could they see what it had caused in her?
Lingering on the thought, Wanda realises there is no one left who remembers the girl she used to be before the pain and grief and suffering. She used to believe that her childhood friendships would last forever, but those friends are likely gone, she thinks, lost to the rubble just as her family were. Wanda Maximoff is the last person alive who could ever remember her true personality, but now, even she isn’t so sure.
»»————- ★ ————-««
On that same night, in that same building, you suffer from the same line of thought. Brought from Sokovia to America in your early teens, joining SHIELD was your way of doing good in a world you knew firsthand needed help. You hadn’t expected it to be your own teammates and colleagues who had been causing the troubles in the first place; some went under with HYDRA’s exposition, but many remained, passing test after test because, despite the presence of their names on documents approving the bombing of your birth city, they truly had no allegiance to HYDRA. They are SHIELD agents throughout, but that doesn’t make them ‘good’.
Your sense of hope is naive, really. It’s a remnant of the lingering childhood sentiment that you would make the most of your escape to America, to make real change and bring peace to the friends you left behind. By now, you’ve seen the worst of SHIELD, endured mockery for your opinions, watched the organisation fall and then rise again only somewhat cleansed to assist the Avengers, yet you still work for them. Perhaps it’s fear that keeps you here, perhaps it’s delusion, but either way, you find your workarounds and do your best to progress.
That’s the situation that leads you to now, patrolling the halls of the Avengers Compound at 2am, pondering what you are even working for now that the only evidence left of your country’s capital city is a crater full of rubble.
Loneliness takes centre stage when you work night shifts – an unfortunate coincidence considering loneliness is what caused you to take the time slot in the first place. You don’t want to work with your colleagues, always feeling like you’re on the sidelines of the group, never quite as close to them as they are to each other – now exacerbated by the seed of doubt that any one of them may have seen your country as a necessary sacrifice, an inevitable fatality in a world of war.
It’s easier to work alone, you tell yourself again, but you begin to doubt it.
With no country to return to, no relatives, and no friends at work, you wonder how else you can change yourself before you finally fit in. Maybe then you wouldn’t have to be alone.
»»————- ★ ————-««
Those thoughts are interrupted by whirring machinery, and you suddenly snap to attention and creep towards the Avengers’ gym. An intruder wouldn’t settle down for a quick training session, you imagine, and lower your guard marginally, but still ready yourself for a confrontation – there shouldn’t be anyone around at 2 am.
You walk in, only to stall immediately when you see a familiar brunette on the treadmill. She’s not one of the Avengers you’ve met before, nor one of the ones you’ve only seen on TV despite living in the same building – she’s new then, you conclude, or an intruder, but that doesn’t explain why you feel like you’ve seen her face before.
She looks up and her eyes widen when she sees you, before she shuts the treadmill off and quickly ducks her head. You don’t know what to say.
“I’m sorry,” she mutters while she hurriedly gathers her things, “I didn’t think anyone would come in here.”
You know why you recognise her now, the accent giving it all away.
“You’re Sokovian.” The woman clearly wants to leave; her belongings are bundled in her arm and she’s taken several quick paces aiming to pass you to get to the door, but she pauses at your statement and finally raises her head to meet your gaze.
“You’re not.”
“I am,” you reply, somewhat indignantly.
“You don’t sound it.”
Your natural accent had slipped over the years, it was true, a mix of natural evolution and forced acclimatisation on your behalf as an attempt to better fit in had led to the accent you now had. Not good enough to fool your American-born colleagues, but enough, it seems, to fool your fellow Sokovian. You think carefully, the new accent is so well practised that you struggle to separate what comes naturally and which parts you condition yourself to speak with. Eventually though, you speak and let the traces of your Sokovian past shine through.
“It’s been a while,” you tell her, “13 years since I last saw Novi Grad. I thought I’d return one day but… I guess not.”
Her eyes narrow as she tilts her head ever so slightly, the action once again striking you with a sense of familiarity. She seems to shake herself out of it eventually. She tightens her grip on her belongings and finally inches past you, not speaking again until her hand is on the door handle.
“I suppose neither of us can ever return home… your accent is rusty, Y/N, but it’s nice to see someone else survived.”
You jolt suddenly at her use of your name, but she’s gone before you can even turn around and acknowledge that she recognises you too; all that remains of her is the door slamming shut in her wake.
Memories crash back to you of the first half of your life, it's enough that you need to take a seat before allowing yourself to reminisce. It's been thirteen years since you last saw Wanda, but you'd never forgotten the shy brunette you used to run to and from school with; the girl whose apartment you would visit whenever the power went out, to huddle together and make up stories to entertain yourselves.
You wonder briefly why she left the gym so suddenly, rather than staying and catching up, but you realise that even you need a moment to process the fact that one of your friends, a memory from your past, is not only still alive, but also living in the same building as you. It seems likely that you'll see her again, and you hope it's something that she wants too.
You're already planning to give her time, but no matter how the night started, the encounter plants a seed of hope in you that the future might just be a little less lonely.

Twin Surprises - Wanda Maximoff x romanoff!Reader
Summary (pt. 2) : The second half of a particular day, you have a party to prepare and probably perhaps you will succeed
Warnings: very light swearing, culinary messes, alcohol and what follows, maybe there's more?
A/N: There you go, it took me longer than expected, because among other things a week ago my laptop died and this moron that I am was unable to access the account, so here it is with some delay <3
Words: <6K
Tumblr media
(⬆️*spoiler*⬆️)
Honestly, the only reason why you took today as a day off is because today is Wanda's birthday, also Pietro's, calculating that they are twins, but in any case she doesn't know that you know this vital information and until tonight you would prefer her to stay Like this.
In fact, if you hadn't seen the date on the files at the time of Ultron, and then subsequently asked Pietro for confirmation, most likely you wouldn't even know when your girlfriend and her brother was born.
The curious case of the strange family bartender never seen who probably (surely, by now a fact) could have super speed now no longer pushes the strings of your curiosity, you could ask advice from Vision later for a guess you would have made, but still Wanda's birthday is more important.
You have start with your little group of friends, Pietro would have had to keep Wanda away from the compound for at least two hours, just long enough to put the decorations, the cake and everything else, and you and Kate would have taken care of that everything else plus decorations and cake. Exceptional case you did it with Natasha, you texted her in her absence about everything you were putting together and luckily she's back just in time.
Trembling with excitement you had a hard time masking your incoherent happiness which suddenly appeared out of nowhere, especially when dealing with a telepathic girlfriend, but still you made it, finally Pietro and Wanda are officially away from home for the next two hours (hopefully). Now all you need is your team.
ᗢ⧗── ・ 。゚⧗: *.ᗢ.* :⧗. ───⧗ᗢ
You and Kate walked around the compound, abruptly interrupted everyone from what they were doing and as if nothing was there you both dragged everyone into the kitchen/lounge.
In addition to the thousand questions, which both you and the archer will rightly answer in right time, time plays his part. "So, you're all wondering why Kate and I dragged you here..." with dangling hands, you push to get to where you want them
"Nah I'm more terrified of that crazy smile Kate has"
"I might have an idea" Vision as always, try to express, an idea about everything could almost say. "No Vis trust me you don't have it" absolutely certain, Kate denies any idea, the secret information for weeks only you, Kate and Pietro knew.
"thus... we gathered you here because... it's the birthday of the twins" in the end you blurt out the fact. "and we are planning a surprise party!!!" with so much enthusiasm, much more than you, Kate almost bursts with happiness.
"We need your help, basically only you are not involved, yet" you ask very kindly, gesturing as usual in a very hurried way.
Through shared looks, brief moments of non-verbal (not even mental) communication, you could say that if these here don't accept, Kate would most likely make them accept so much that she trembles to organize this party.
"they are setting us up" silently, not quite, Sam whispers to the poor synthezoid next to him. "it's called team spirit!!!" Kate, which unfortunately overheard, exclaims indignantly.
"I think it could be a bonding activity, it wouldn't hurt to try" so as not to miss, this time in your favor (yeah <3), from its crammed corner in the kitchen, the ai in an almost indestructible body makes one of his comments. "thanks Vis" happy, you thank him.
Thank god, as a good gentleman of the 40's Steve is always available to help where possible. "so what should we do?"
Following another nod of glances between you and the archer you begin to give the tasks. "Okay. Cap, you take care of the decorations, you are a super soldier use these powers" you turn to Steve, explaining to him in detail what he has to do.
Once you're done with the super soldier, you move on to the person who at the same time knows how to be the most annoying and supportive in this huge building, better known as Sam Wilson. "Second, Birdman, you have the drinks, no booze, I don't want it to end like most of Tony's parties, it's a party birthday" you communicate passing over the grimace that comes to you at the mere sound of the word 'Birdman', obviously from the birdman himself.
And third but not third, you pass to the dear synthezoid willing to understand human emotions. "Lastly, Vis, I need some help in the kitchen, you'll be my assistant cook. All clear?" you conclude, looking for further doubts, mostly clarifications because you were very specific.
"And what is the archer up to here?" very pretentious, almost as if he wanted to insinuate something, Sam beckoned to the brunette across the room, a sigh escaped your lips. "Kate will take care of the music, in short, general entertainment, we don't want it to be a funeral home, and if you have any doubts, ask her, she's in charge while I'm in the kitchen" you reiterate, also pointing to the friend in question right next to you, a succession of looks and confirmations between you and her, while you overlook the 'little' puff you heard.
Full of charged emotions as well as tasks to do, you are ready to start this operation, or rather to finish it because it started already weeks ago. "Good. Avengers, let's start the birthday party operation in less than two hours" with folded hands you finish your speech, thrilled by the final result.
"It's terrible name" and "Shut up Sam!" it could be the phrases that followed the name of the operation, and you might even have rolled your eyes at the bickering between Kate and Sam, but surely in the end you know that everything will work out.
ᗢ⧗── ・ 。゚⧗: *.ᗢ.* :⧗. ───⧗ᗢ
"Vision, how much do you know about Sokovian cooking?" taking quite a few ingredients out of the fridge and various pantries, ask more for general knowledge, to the synthezoid in the role of assistant chef.
"In the Sokovian cuisine as in most of the Slavic peoples there is an abundant use of spices" following you like a dog with its master from one end of the kitchen to the other, it provides data that one cannot fail to notice its robotic nature.
You nod and as you get some bowls and a whisk and the eggs, you mumble. "Hmm it's useless anyway, we need the sweet side of the kitchen. Sokovian pastry that's what we'll do today" placing the objects from your clumsy hands on the island in the center of the room, you begin the plan for the next two intense hours of preparation.

Meanwhile in evening New York
Convincing Wanda to go out on her birthday was complicated enough even for her twin. The fact that no one, or at least Wanda believed so, knew that today was in fact the birthday of the Maximoff twins, especially the girlfriend of a certain green-eyed brunette, only gave her more weight, and now it was never too late to say something like "Hey it's my birthday today, sorry I didn't tell you sooner but I didn't want to rehash all my destroyed childhood", but really Wanda wants nothing more than to be not intrusive.
The more or less complex key was getting a short loan of Lucky, the golden retriever that Kate had found on the street during a cold December night, before meeting all your merry gang. Of course, Kate loves Wanda very much but his pride put a lot of pressure on the speedster, but in the end Pietro gave in and took courage, after all she is his sister.
Having a dog running around in a billion dollar facility is (probably) not a good thing but hey at least Lucky is quiet, plus he likes pizza and that's a big plus. That's why under the guise of a walk with the literal Avengers mascot, just to de-stress, there were now twins and a dog on the loose on the streets of New York.

There have been many attempts, really many. So many cakes and various desserts that came out wrong, it would be the fourth time you'd be trying to redo the dough.
You were throwing in the trash with a funeral face when you turned to see an atrocity in progress (yet another of the day). "No no no. Stop!" quickly you run trying to stop the massacre, yet another almost failed attempt, then you remember that you have powers and forcibly remove the spatula from the hands of the cake-killer synthezoid.
"Want to tell me what the hell you were going to do?!" taking the bowl out of your hands, and removing this still undamaged dough as far as possible, you scold Vision for the umpteenth time. "At this point the recipe called for mixing and I was doing it" he replies confused, if the recipe calls for this why are you angry? Human emotions are still a partial mystery to him.
You sigh at his statement, indeed it's true, he had to mix, only that's exactly what he did the other three wrong times, so maybe that's where the mistake is. "You're right. But what do you say if we put a little more flour and maybe this time I'll check if we put sugar instead of salt?" you propose exhausted, placing the bowl on the counter again, with your hands on your hips and already all covered in flour on your arms and bits of your face. "It is a mistake not to be repeated, perhaps adding some more flour could give the required result" comments the red robot thoughtfully, surely inside his mind full of vibranium circuits and the strange gem he has set on his forehead he will be calculating the variable billions possible from this choice, he always does.
"You flour, I sugar. Do you think you can do it?" handing him the bowl, you nod questioningly. "I can try," he replies, optimistic as a human would say, given his previous failures.
While you make sure you have taken the sugar and not the salt, not like the first cake which was practically perfect, just one small detail, it is salty to die for, you hear a thud and then a kind of poof, and when you turn around what you see is exhilarating.
Vision covered head to toe in flour, green and yellow clothes, red skin and everything else completely whitened, only the luminous gem stands out among all the rest. Such a show gives you what out of three failed attempts in the kitchen you deserve, a good laugh. The fact that Vision then looks at you curious as to why you're bursting with laughter only adds to the hilarity of the moment.
"I-if… if you're going to say 'do I have something on my face?' I swear I may never stop laughing" holding back more laughter just so I can talk, you warn him, you really may not stop laughing. Just at this moment, between laughter and another, your best archer enters the chaotic kitchen, who is also amazed by the condition of the synthezoid.
"Oh my god Vision! Did you by any chance give the body a whitewash?" jokingly, Kate makes fun of the white condition covering a Vision quite confused by your reactions. "No no it snowed a few seconds ago!" you join the line of jokes, really in need of this kind of rest. "Miss Bishop, Miss Romanoff, I don't understand the reason for these laughs" naked and raw, as only he knows how to be, in his confusion, still covered in flour to make him look like a vibranium Everest, the synthezoid observes. "It doesn't matter Vis, i-it was fun anyway" still recovering, between a few muffled giggles you wipe some flour off the robot's shoulders.
"Alright, I didn't come here to laugh but anyway... there's a problem there" Kate too with a roll of eyes tries to go on, underlining the problem. As if you felt a ghost pierce your body you turn and your eyes go wide, not ready to know what went wrong.
"I found my favorite pair of 'missing' shoes all gnawed away in the recesses of my closet" pulling the pair of shoes now only to be trashed from behind her back, she says again bewildered that she has been betrayed by her furry pizza-loving dog. "And then, and this is the worst part, from there I think Sam really didn't respect the no alcohol fact and Steve doesn't seem to understand that he has to do the exact opposite of what he's doing" with an air of just exhausted, Kate puts her hand to her forehead, this party hasn't even started and it's already a catastrophe.
You dramatically bangs her head on Vision's chest several times, desperate from the situation, the kitchen sucks, ditto over there... it would take a miracle.
"News from Clint? Tony? Someone, tell me at least something is going according to plan" you complain, continuing to bang your head on Vision's vibranium chest, some lumps of flour fall on you. Kate sighs "Clint is out, the little one is sick, and the whole family is basically in quarantine. Rhodey, as I was telling you he is still on a mission... while, yes Stark he is actually coming soon, nay he should be here considering you know 'him' " one by one she fills you with bad news, the air gets more and more depressing with everything in pieces, but at least there is still Tony left... yeah Tony, you aren't thrilled with what might happen as they're not yet in good shape relationships, but hope dies last.
"Ура! Could you please go over there and fix it, Katie?" almost pleading-eyed, amidst the mess in the kitchen, you speak to your friend. "I would have already gone to lend a hand but, anyway, if you don't mind I need Vision, could you lend it to me?" coquettishly, approaching your position, from the entrance, she puts her arm in arm with the synthezoid looking between you two and with a brief exchange of glances absolutely without even thinking about it you mutter a 'yeah, no problem at all'.
Surely it's not that he really needs Vision, she needs him to stay away from you that's all, the kitchen is an example and Vision really doesn't know how to cook, it's not his fault it's just that he's a robot and has literally never cooked nor eaten before, and then surely to keep him busy it won't hurt them to listen to human relationships, after all he wants to understand us.
As Kate literally drags Vision away from the battlefield that has become the poor kitchen, you lip a 'thanks' directed at her so she can get the message. Now with the free kitchen, you literally have to do it all over again in much less time and you probably also have to write to Pietro to keep Wanda away a little longer, even if she might get suspicious.
ᗢ⧗── ・ 。゚⧗: *.ᗢ.* :⧗. ───⧗ᗢ
With a flick of the wrist you change your clothes to some less floury ones, tie a quick knot in the apron around your waist and roll up the sleeves. Give your floury hair a good clean with a few shakes, and style it into a bun so it doesn't get in front of your face, and you're ready to go.
Not knowing literally how much or what specifically should be consumed at a birthday party, and with time running out, you improvise.
From what you have understood in recent years, anything, whatever power you have, is greatly influenced by emotions, the stronger they are and the greater the power they release, in short, you have had examples of it.
With a huge din, with a flick of the wrists, all the pots, ladles, spoons, loads of other objects come out of their closets and in an orderly dance on a reddish river they float through the kitchen. One by one, commanded by the co-pilot, they are set aside in sections, various pastries being prepared at the same time, while only the cake remains for you, the fifth one this time to be made again.
As you predicted, or as Kate had told you, Tony arrived shortly after your accelerated preparation starts and almost gave you a heart attack, causing a culinary catastrophe, so you dismissed him with a red-eyed gaze that could rival those of an angry Natasha.
Speaking of the redhead, your mother didn't fail to arrive quite later, but this time it will have been for feeling or because you are practically almost coded to hear even the smallest detail that makes you feel the presence of her you were prepared.
She'd asked you if you'd like a hand in the kitchen, seeing four different groups of reddish flying things plus you all sweaty and busy, but you literally begged her to go check the living room and how the party preparations were because you weren't going to make Natasha "I can burn even water" Romanoff cook for no one reason at all, especially not now.
ᗢ⧗── ・ 。゚⧗: *.ᗢ.* :⧗. ───⧗ᗢ
Finally, after about an hour and three quarters, according to someone *cough* Vision *cough*, you were done.
Three trays of pastries, various sweets and all particular stuff, mixed from international and Sokovian cuisine. Your greatest pride is the cake, this time it's a masterpiece, finely decorated with the symbolic colors of the celebrated, a typical Sokovia recipe was the background.
It's also true that you trashed your initial project and took something else but you still have the corpses of past havoc laid on the counter, there were four deaths on this day, all newborns died, and sooner or later you'll have to get rid of them unfortunately.
You've just finished taking everything out of the stove and you should go to the living room to see how to place the food, before coming back and plating everything, and the anxiety is a lot.
You were ready for something, definitely not what you found when you came out of the kitchen and went looking for the rest of the team. The living room is breathtaking, all lit up, streamers hang from the lights, the sofas moved to make room for some tables with paper plates and cutlery on them in a row and plastic cups next to them, there are also chips and various crap, things that absolutely they had slipped your mind, the decorations scattered throughout the room that recall a little sokovia everything is great and you are... you are simply speechless.
It didn't take long for y'all to put the finishing touches, sure, you don't know who did the magic but flush wire you did it. Throwing a party may not have been one of the skills you would have expected to have to get the job done, but when you're dealing with someone like Tony Stark, you see a lot of parties and you know what to do and what not to do to avoid inconvenience (yes, you know about that party at Malibu :-| ). As luck would have it, just shortly after you've just finished everything, the robotic female voice of FRIDAY warns you of the imminent arrival of the twins, this was the time to disappear.
ᗢ⧗── ・ 。゚⧗: *.ᗢ.* :⧗. ───⧗ᗢ
In a deep silence, the lights at least not too much "help something abnormal is going on", dimmed to preserve the surprise effect. Seven of the mightiest heroes on earth have hidden themselves in the most disparate places in one of the relax room which has officially become (under your "acute observation") the living room of the compound, shortly waiting for the speedster and his beautiful sister, the celebrated.
"- yes anyway I don't believe you, surely you're plotting something" in the lobby of the floor, just outside the lift, the two Sokovians argue. "Сестра (Sestra) I would never allow myself" with his hand on his chest, as if offended, Pietro teases his sister.
A small meteorite, wearing some rings, hits the shoulder of the speedster, apparently not too fast to dodge his sister's punches. "Глупо" she murmurs at the same time as the blow, followed by a not at all serious ouch, in practice it's always the same Pietro, with his usual behavior.
Crossing the hallway, the atmosphere absolutely still if it weren't for the few lights deliberately left on, Wanda is starting to believe that something has happened, it's never so silent in here. And most of all she misses her nocturnal koala, it was a crappy day for her and she just wants to be with her favorite person, maybe this birthday mess of hers can fix it next year.
"Wait Lucky!" Wanda exclaims suddenly when the golden retriever she was holding on her leash snaps and escapes from her hands running towards the dark living room. "Why is this room so dark..." the girl gropes into the open space, looking for the light switch, the pitch dark doesn't help with the fact that Pietro suddenly seems to have disappeared, when only a few seconds ago Wanda was sure he was behind her.
All the lights in the room come on revealing the magnificent sight. "Surprise!" all the voices of the team, even Pietro, exclaim together, surrounding Wanda.
Quickly her eyes become bright with emotion. Seeing the room decorated, this group of people, with some of her she bonded more than others, all this they organized for her and her brother's birthday, she just didn't expect it.
It's pure madness that you've somehow managed to keep someone you've been plotting for so long on the back burner, considering you literally live together, but it has to be a testament that someone up there loves you.
The disbelief she feels when she finishes looking around the room and she stops right in front of you is such that even with her mouth closed in her hands she can't concentrate and speak. "Would you like to say something, Wands?" you look into her eyes that she tries to hide with her hands. In order not to show her, seized with shame, she closes the short distance between you two and hides her face against your chest.
"How did you know that?" she mumbles against your chest, sheltered a little from the outer ears.
I may have had some tips
You look towards Pietro and Wanda also follows your gaze up to her brother, several unsaid speeches you exchange. "Happy Birthday девушка из ситкома" you kiss her hairline, the last part elicits a few giggles from a certain redheaded russian, and an awww from someone corny and a close friend of yours when your mom told her what were you saying. "Well how about we start this party? Or get a room because we don't want to see this all night" pointing between you two, Tony broke that bubble you had created. And so it was that an elbow hit the side of the genius, all for a little joke about her daughter.
ᗢ⧗── ・ 。゚⧗: *.ᗢ.* :⧗. ───⧗ᗢ
Before long, the party was in full swing. If there's anything we're good at besides saving the world, most of the time, it's rocking a party. As you predicted, the polite no-alcohol request, completely trampled upon. Did you expect it? Of course. If there is Tony Stark at a party it's impossible that there isn't alcohol.
Between various chats, light music in the background and Lucky wandering from one person to another, a good part of the evening is already passing. It's right here that between a talk about uranium decomposition (I don't have a clue how we got to this) and how fast Tony's armor can go just to keep up with Pietro that Kate brings an avalanche of board games and stuff like that.
After the umpteenth game of scrabble, interrupted because you really can't play against a living dictionary, Sam's words, you have given fruit to your improvisation skills with the game of mimes.
To say it was exhilarating is an understatement, you had to guess among other things which team member one of you was imitating. Obviously there were the classics, the robot for Vision, the slightly more creative one, the right hand to the chest as if to sing the national anthem, obviously for Steve. Couldn't miss a bird, it was hilarious, it always is when it's dealing with Sam, tying the shoes is a clear tip for the team sprinter according to Steve, yet he had to give another hint.
Sam played it hard miming Natasha, he got on his knees and stayed that way until y'all understood and burst into laughter, well at least not all of you. Then it was your turn, or at least someone had to imitate you. She took revenge, your mother took revenge for laughter by imitating when you sit down you take a book in your hand and absolutely angry you start leafing through it without even reading and lightning with deadly looks anyone who approaches you even by mistake, needless to say that among all those laughing you were a little ashamed.
Wanda had a classic from her twin, the usual hand gestures and go, Tony too did it quite well of course only people who are quite night owls remember his lightning naps. Vision's imitation of Kate in one word: "pure gold". Okay maybe there are two but this is the gist, robots don't know how to mimic people and when they do it's too funny.
ᗢ⧗── ・ 。゚⧗: *.ᗢ.* :⧗. ───⧗ᗢ
In a brief moment of pause, you went to the kitchen to get more glasses and napkins, and Wanda followed. When she saw the mess in the kitchen her heart melted, she lingered on the savory pie, you had decorated it out of depression, she was almost successful and since it was salty you just put a "who cares?" because nobody would care about the pie. Instead she put her foot down and wanted you to take a picture of her holding the cake.
"Seriously?! Do you want a photo with this cake... this cake here?" amazed you look at Wanda holding the plate of cake in her hand.
The girl sighs, she will have to fight for this maybe. "Come on, it's a very good cake even if it's salty! Take this picture come on..." with two big sweet eyes, plate held in front of her, she want to bribe you with sweetness.
You raise your eyebrows, you know too well what she's doing, and she's winning... as always. "Like always, we end up doing what you want" you raise your hands theatrically along with your eyes.
Initially she doesn't seem to react to your answer but when you pick up your early 2000s instant camera and snap the picture she raises an eyebrow and satisfied, after the shoot she sticks her tongue out.
"Thank you that you're pretty" you make a fake face, when the photo is developed you shake it and look at the result.
Cute even when you make faces, or make fun of me
As a teenager, Wanda blushes from cheeks to ears, and as you look at the photo she takes your arm. "Come on cakes girl let's go enjoy the amazing party you threw for me"
ᗢ⧗── ・ 。゚⧗: *.ᗢ.* :⧗. ───⧗ᗢ
Head back to the party, Lucky nearly knocked you over as hard as he lunged at you. "Hey puppy, you almost showed me the stars" you scratch him behind the ear, he wags his tail happily.
Having a pet isn't something you've ever done, but since Lucky's been here you've become a dog lover in a snap of your fingers. Although the first time, he peed on Vision's leg.
"Oh girls, we've been waiting for you" sitting on one of the sofas, Steve greets us. Well yes, in the few fifteen minutes perhaps, Pietro had decided to do karaoke, he had arbitrarily taken and brought a microphone with all the rest of the equipment in a flash, and there was a discussion between him and Sam about who should start.
"OH MY GOD. Like OH MY GOD. Where did you get this from!" when you turn around and see all the equipment in plain sight and Pietro handling it, you're too excited.
"Apparently someone here is full of surprises" Tony refers to the boy, surprised you might say.
After the whole Sokovia incident, even before, he feels responsible for everything that happened to the twins, if only he had realized sooner. Relationships are almost always electric between those three, he tries, you try, but it's simply too early; they spent their whole lives hating the big bad Tony Stark for killing their parents, some things are not easy to forget forgive and move on.
ᗢ⧗── ・ 。゚⧗: *.ᗢ.* :⧗. ───⧗ᗢ
After a couple of minutes you decided who started first and unfortunately few participate.
"You can't stay there and let just humiliate the four of us..." you complain talking to the four sitting on sofas, more with the three humans, for Vision it can be enough with ridiculous acts to do. "five!" Sam corrects you, he's the only one besides the four of you who wants to sing.
"Yeah, though... that's not right!" you huff angrily, if you have to fall at least they have to fall with you. "Life isn't fair" Tony retorts loudly, now you can only glare at him.
"Well I haven't sung since 1944, I wouldn't mind trying" a little joy ignites at Steve's words, even if Kate's stifled giggle makes you think it's going to end badly, but anyway you thank him. "Thanks Steve"
In a last ditch effort, you cast a questioning glance at the billionaire, so much is the question in the air. "I pay for the house, food, water, electricity and all the technological gadgets, basically I'm more of a mother than this one, isn't that enough for you?" giving a futile future to your efforts, he liquidates you by putting your mother in the middle as well.
It's normal that you pay for everything here! Who among us is a billionaire?! Literally, I don't know which of us has income in our bank accounts! Then we've got a robot, one guy that's supposed to be old and death, and a lot of other people that I don't think people would want to hire. Paying is your job
"Ты была бы очень плохой матерью в этом случае, так как мы справляемся сами" arms crossed, you grumble sulkily, he doesn't understand you anyway, so he has no reason to hear. "Ты же знаешь, что он подумает, что мы плохо о нем говорим?" Natasha answers your words with curiosity, mostly with amusement.
"Вот почему я учу языки, мама" you smirk, and slowly knowing you've got everyone's full attention basically, you spell out. Your mother rolls her eyes, gives you a smile and slowly shakes her head, she could be your accomplice "Ах да, верно, Тони Старк - негодяй" finally she says, only to alarm the interested party's ears
During the short conversation in Russian, a matter of less than a minute, you had everyone's eyes on you. And when you're done, Tony's face is almost indecipherable.
"I have no idea what you said thus in advance I feel deeply offended, so I will stay here, enjoy this delicious cocktail and your performance" obviously finding an excuse, he settles down on the sofa and sips from the glass. You give him one last look and then roll your eyes
A cough gets your attention. "Can we start?" Pietro nods to you, and you shrug.
"Kate, the stage is yours" you sit down and Kate scrolls through the song list.
ᗢ⧗── ・ 。゚⧗: *.ᗢ.* :⧗. ───⧗ᗢ
If Kate hadn't thrown herself into sports, technically into being a superhero but sport was a means, yes, however, she could devote herself to singing. Of course, the song she chose was completely wrong, but the voice is there, at least you hope.
Running away from the stage of shame, you relieved her, and after a bit of searching you found the perfect song. You dedicated it to Wanda, after all it's her birthday, and you might have gone a little too far with the saccharine stuff because you made her cry, in fact, after your performance, complete with applause, you reached her and you probably won't move from there because Wanda has no intention of letting you go from her arms.
The performance plus, something, is that of Pietro, with his behavior you could not expect otherwise, at least he made the atmosphere even lighter.
Strangely Sam's went well, no one laughed, everything perfectly. In your nerdy searches you may have found old footage from WWII, and some may even have been on Steve (*cough*A Star Spangled Man with a Plan *cough*) , but you were definitely not expecting what you got, an excellent performance.
You: Wow this went better than I expected. Hmm... Wanda?
Wanda: Yes?
You: You know it's your turn right?
Wanda: I don't want to go... come on you know I'm shy about these things. Isn't it better if I'm here with you?
You: Come on!!! At least if you don't want to make a random song take your guitar and play something with it... please?
Wanda: Don't even talk about it! I have no intention of playing... and... and then who was it that said we always do what I want?
You: I warn you, your guitar is arriving in your hands in a few seconds
Wanda: Now I hate loving you
While your girlfriend muttered to herself, and sincerely even when she pouts you want to kiss her nose, you still announce her entrance.
"Guys, you will never believe it, but now Wanda will delight us with a sweet melody played by her" absolutely convinced you announce, Wanda would like to sink into the sofa in a while and not re-emerge so as not to do it.
Wanda: Ugh... God... please bury me now

In the end, between grimaces and some not very serious threats, you managed to get Wanda to stand up, the guitar in your hand, and lots of love (also teasing) in her eyes.
Well if she sings like the first time I heard her then... wow
You are walking quietly in the hallway, thought you were going to the library, or maybe you were walking down to go to training, when a sweet melody caught the attention of your ears, it was Wanda. You stood for a couple of minutes at the door jamb, enchanted by the way Wanda was singing, almost angelic.
Lying on her back, on the edge of the bed, when she looked up and saw your shape, a wave of shame and embarrassment hit her.
She almost threw a pillow at your face if you didn't dodge, and then you might have apologized for scaring her.
The fact is that in the end while Wanda was singing you were there for her. And at the end of the performance, there were whistle and applause, you basically cheered Wanda.

There was the cake after, candles and all, and the compliments you might have gotten might have boosted your foodie ego even more, but hey if you're making the cake for your girlfriend birthday it makes sense you put all your effort into it yourself.
But now, from that precise moment on, your memories are fuzzy, it must surely have been the alcohol you ingested and it didn't help the challenge between you and Pietro to see who gets the most shots; and you already a little tipsy you overlooked the fact that his accelerated metabolism makes it literally impossible for him to get drunk, obliviously like a dumbass that you are you accepted.
For some reason you're shooting yourself a shot one moment, then you go dancing for some weird reason with *hazy mist*, but you think it's Wanda, and then you don't know how but you're watching a dance competition and your mom and Steve are dancing great, and for some reason you're rooting for them.
On top of that you believe, in the drunken haze you've blown a hole in someone's foot with Kate's arrows, and you definitely need to check that tomorrow, if you ever get over that giant hangover.
After the memory of dragging each other, perhaps in threes, with Wanda, between giggles and drunken conversations, down a hallway, you hope that of the bedrooms, you have a gigantic scary darkness, the most scary thing after a party... the day after.
ᗢ⧗── ・ 。゚⧗: *.ᗢ.* :⧗. ───⧗ᗢ
The blinding light from the window, that thing so painful it hurts your ears. The head that feels like it's about to explode, and you probably don't think you can get out of bed, maybe you wouldn't even be able to raise a hand let alone all of yourself.
Too much light, too loud, too drunk
At sloth speed, you turn face down in bed, and with what little energy you have you close the curtain with a few red threads.
You don't feel like moving, or doing anything else, especially talking or seeing, you could fall into depression if you do.
Screams suffocated in the pillow, even if there is very little to suffocate, you complain.
"I will never drink again"
A bad hangover awaits you to deal with today

peter man?
Tumblr media
chapter one: a not so fun necklace.
Peter Parker x Winterwidow/Buckynat's daughter! reader.
Dreams, by the Cranberries.
"Oh, my life is changing everyday... In every possible way."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Her eyes darted between her father and her mother. Another staring contest, fun.
Her mothers green eyes staring into her father's icy blue ones.
Y/n just stood up and carefully walked out of the compound kitchen and into her room and saw Peter already there and she sighed, kicked her slippers off and jumped onto him, since he was laying on his bed and snuggled into his side.
"Hi Peter man." She said teasingly and earned an audible groan from him.
"Why are you calling me that..." he mumbled and wrapped his arms around her body and let her snuggle into him.
He had learned that snuggling was her way of coping with her past in the Red Room, a way to learn that physical contact can be okay.
"Because it's funny, Spider Parker." She giggles and looked up at him with her soft Y/e/c eyes and looked into his warm and comforting brown eyes.
But he can't be mad, he never wanted to not be snuggling her.
But that doesn't mean he can't get annoyed by her.
He groans loudly and rolled over on top of her, earning a loud 'Oomf' from her.
He laid on top of her, putting his whole body weight on her.
"Oh you asshole." She groans and he chuckles as he laid on her.
"C'mon, you enjoy it, don't lie." He said cheekily, and he put his hands on her stomach. His hand going her her shirt a bit, he felt her scars...but they made her fucking beautiful to him.
She rolled her eyes and held him tightly.
"Shut up..." She mumbled into his hair as he had his face in the crook of her neck. He giggles and traced her scares lightly, his rough and calloused hand on the scar tissue felt delicate.
He felt to coolness of her right bionic hand on the nape of his neck, people would beget all weird by it, but like how Natasha was with Bucky, he saw through the arm and just the person, the person whom they both truly love.
Tumblr media
It was dinner time, all of the Avengers were sitting down eating.
And dinner always consisted of Bucky and Sam Arguing, Tony wiggling his eyebrows at Peter, Natasha glaring at Tony, Wanda reading the teens minds and giggling, Loki not caring for the young Peter but always giving encouraging smiles to Y/n, Thor not knowing whats going on, Bruce not caring really, Steve trying to calm down Bucky and Sam, Clint not caring and trying to eat, Somehow Vision even knows the love between Y/n and Peter.
In a nutshell it was normal until Pietro started something quiet interesting...
"Peter, Y/n?" He asked, his accent thick as he stood up. Everyone raised their eyebrows s he grabbed a fistful of pasta and threw it at Y/n.
"I declare, a food fight."
Everyone's eyes widen and Thor immediately threw garlic bread at the speedsters face. Tony lets out a cackle and threw a meatball at Steve's face.
Then a war had begun. Peter and Y/n had hid under the table with cookies in hand as the adults were throwing pasta all over each other.
Y/n giggles and Peter sighed and looked at her, her delicate features. And she turned and they made eye contact
And that was when it felt as if everything slowed down. Their eyes looking into one another, and they just felt so connected. And slowly, inch, by inch they leaned in... and they got so close, that only their noses touched.
He could smell her perfume, the addicting coffee, lavender and vanilla.
She was just addicting to him.
His left hand went to her cheek and the back of her neck, inching closer and closer...
Then Thor lifted the table up, and the two pulled away quickly and sh threw a cookie at him and jumped up, then helped Peter up, their faces bright red. Now, EVERYONE knew.
But, being the two hopeless idiots they didn't.
"Man of spiders! Lady of Metal Arms! I have found you!" Thor boomed happily and gave a knowing grin and wiggled his eyebrows in very, very obvious way.
Tumblr media
Y/n was currently on her bed, with her mother, Wanda and Pepper stopped by to see what she missed since she missed dinner.
"You two almost kissed?!" Pepper yelled and Wanda shushed her and Natasha sighed.
"F.R.I.D.A.Y, can you sound proof the room?" Natasha said to the AI and the room became sound proof.
Natasha takes a deep breath then she started.
"Y/n Rebecca Barnes, you have to tell him you like him!" She yelled and stood up and started pacing while she spoke to her daughter.
"If you don't tell him he will never know!" Pepper nodded and added to Natasha.
"It is so clear he is in love with you!" Wanda nodded and also added.
"You know, I have never felt so much love for a person then he does for you..."
Y/n sighed and rubbed her temples and laid back on her bed, and groans, the metal of her hand helping her nerves.
But little did she know, that in Peters room. There was all of the boys trying to comfort a very, very anxious spider.
"Kid, if she didn't like you should would have pulled away or not lean in at all." Steve sighed and Bucky just looked uncomfortable.
Tony puts his hand on his shoulder and said.
"You should have made out with her quicker-"
"Stark! Do you forget that she is my daughter?" Bucky snapped and Tony chuckled and whispered to Peter.
"Don't forget about Papa-Bear." And Steve sighed as he had to restrain his childhood best friend.
"B-Buck! Don't you dare make me get Natasha." Steve said firmly and Bucky stopped and whispers.
"You wouldn't dare to get Natalia." He seethed out and Steve sighed and yelled.
"Natasha! Bucky is trying to kill another Stark."
Tony grimaced and everyone else had to stifle down a laugh. And Bucky just rolled his eyes as Natasha walked in and started speaking in rapid Russian with Bucky.
"Seriously, James? What did he do this time?" Natasha asked in Russian.
"He was talking about how he should have made out with our daughter earlier!" He responded.
All she did was let out a small chuckle and said.
"He has a point, James."
"Natalia, no."
"Natalia yes."
He scoffed and rolled his eyes as she dragged him out of the room and eventually all of the others walked out as well. After a few minutes, Y/n sneaked into his room, like usual, in her pajamas and snuggled into his side.
Something they do nightly, his arms around her waist and he face in his chest as she listens to his heart beat.
"Peter..?" She mumbled softly into his chest and he looked down at her and whispered.
"Yeah, princess?" She looked up and sighed as she nuzzled into him more.
"I'm scared..." she mumbled and he sighed and held her tightly.
"The nightmares?"
She nodded and he thought for a moment and he got close to her ear and whispered.
"You wanna stay with me?" She looked up and nodded, solace was what she needed.
He smiles and moved her so she could get under the sheets and blankets, he practically engulfed her with blankets and himself.
She giggles and nuzzled into his chest and mumbled.
"Good night, Peter man."
He didn't roll his eyes but he kissed her forehead and whispered.
"Good night, Stargirl." She blushed a deep magenta when he said her hero name, and when he kissed her forehead.
Lord he knew how to make her melt like a candle.
And just like that, she fell asleep.
In the arms with the one, and only guy she wants.
But the nightmares of her getting choked by The Winter Soldier and his metal arm will always come.
How his hand was a not so fun necklace.

Not so perfect little girl
a/n: i changed a little thing in the request and sorry for the lack of interaction between the twins and the R
Tumblr media Tumblr media
*not my GIFs*
Wanda Maximoff x Sister!Reader x Pietro Maximoff; Clint Barton x Teen!Reader(platonic)
Request: Requested by [@darkstar225]
I'd like to request a comfort/hurt fic with Maximoff!Sister (You could do it as sibling if you don't feel comfy writing a female reader, sorry if you do) if possible, I don't find that many fics about this, especially with Pietro included 💀
The other Avengers could be platonic, maybe she/they have a bad day in school and get hurt and the others find out, tell Wanda (if she doesn't find out first and talks with Pietro about it) and try to make her feel better or just stay there with her, just a suggestion. Whatever you do ik I'll love, tysm for reading this and hope you have a nice day <3
Summary: You feel not enought...
Type: i tried to do a H/C
Warning: low self-estime(?)
word count: ~1300
-------
The Avengers were in the living room when a phone rang, and they stopped their activities to know whose phone rang. But they didn't have to search for long until Clint picked up his phone.
"Hello?" he said.
"Mr. Barton?" a man asked on the other side.
"Himself," Clint replied.
"I'm Mr. Johnson, the principal of Y/n" he said, and the archer started to worry. "I called you because we have a problem with Ms. Maximoff," your principal explained.
"Okay, I'm on my way," the archer said and immediately left the tower. During the trip to your school, he was very worried. When you came to New York with your siblings, Steve became their guardian, but you asked Clint to be yours; he was the only Avenger you were pretty close with at first. You started school for a few months now, and you have been a good student until the last few weeks.
You had been in Mr. Johnson's office for a moment before you heard knocks on his door. He walked to open the door, and your body tensed when you saw Clint. But the avenger tensed when he saw your state; you were covered in bruises and your lips were bleeding. He quickly ran to you after he greeted your principal to make sure you were okay.
"What's happened to her?" he asked worried at the other adult in the room.
"That's why you're here," Mr. Johnson said, taking a seat. "Y/n, started a fight against three other classmates," he explained, and Clint looked at him in shock.
"Wait, did you see her condition? Are you sure because, from what I see, she was the victim of her classmate." the Avenger said, and you chuckled.
"Mr. Barton, Y/n broke the nose of one of them; the ankle of the second, and the wrist of the last," he replied. "And two of them were guys from the football team." he added, and even if he knew he should be angry, Clint couldn't help but chuckle. "Listen, I know it seems funny, but I have to deal with six angry parents. I'm sorry, but I must expel Y/n for a week." he announced.
"What? But it wasn't my fault." you defended yourself.
"I would let it slide if it was the first time I saw you in this office, but unfortunately for both of us, it's not." your principal said, and the archer frowned his eyebrows.
"What do you mean?" he asked.
"It's nothing." you said, but the man in front of you didn't think like you.
"Y/n spent the past few weeks skipping some classes and even detention." he admitted, and Clint was now looking at you. "I don't know what happened with her, but I'm sure she could use this week to think about her attitude." he added, and if glare could kill, your principal should be six feet underground now.
"I'm sorry, I'll talk with her about this." the Avenger, and after they said their goodbyes, you were now in Clint's car. There was a silence; he didn't start the car; you knew how long he waited, and honestly, you were too tired from the past few weeks to play with him.
"I'm sorry." you whispered, and he looked at you. "I shouldn't do that, but that's not my fault, I swear. I was with my friends, and one girl came to sit in front of me and started to say some hurtful things about Wanda and Pietro." you explained, and he nodded.
"And for the past few weeks?" he asked, and you didn't reply. He started the car, the drive to the tower was quiet when you arrived, he didn't unlock the doors. "So, are we talking now, or do you continue to act like a spoil child?" he asked, and you lowered your head.
"What do you expect to hear? I'm not the perfect little girl you want me to be." you replied, and he was shocked, not only by your words but also by your tone.
He placed his hand on your shoulder, and you met his gaze. "Who wants you to be a perfect little girl?" he asked, and the tears started to fall on your cheeks.
"Everyone." you admitted between sobs, "They always said I should do more, that I could do more. But what if I can't?" you said. Clint didn't say anything and just gave you a side hug. "I'm sorry." you said, and the archer pulled you away to look at you.
"Why?" he asked carefully.
"To not be enough," you replied, and instantly fell apart again. This time, his hug was tighter.
"You're enough Y/n" he said.
"But why does everyone have to say I should be more? Smarter because my sister is, or more athletic because my brother is? Or I should have powers because they both have." you said while you were crying.
"Hey little bunny, look at me." he ordered, and you looked at him. "I don't know who said that, but I can assure you they didn't know you. You don't have to move things with your mind or run faster than any arrow I could shoot to be someone. You're you. You're Y/n Maximoff; you don't have to be someone else." he said.
"How do you do that?" you asked him, and he frowned his eyebrows. "How you can fight among super soldiers, god, a man with an iron armor, enhanced people, a Hulk, and even your best friend have a little super serum, but you don’t seem to be a burden." you explained, and he laughed.
"Honestly, I don't know myself, but I think that's just why I'm training." he replied. "You don't have to be someone like them if you don't want, you can be just you. I'll always be here with you, we will be the only fully human beings in this group of super people," he smiled.
"And how should I be able to do what I want when every time someone or something reminds me what I should be." you replied, and he sighed.
"You know, I don't really trust in fate. But I start to think that maybe if life hadn't given you superpowers, it's not because you're not worthy or anything, no, I think life gave you a way to distance yourself from them. You don't have to be like them; you can be just you." he said, and you chuckled.
"I don't like superhero speeches," you replied, and he laughed.
"It was not really a superhero speech, more of a father speech." he said, and you cried again. "And if you really want to be an Avenger like them, I think Tony would be glad to make you a suit." he added, but you shook your head.
"If I become an Avenger, I want to be a hero like you. I don't need any armor." you said.
"You know I'm not someone you should take as an idol. I did bad things before being the man I am today." he said, and you nodded.
"Yeah, I know, but you helped Natasha when she needed it, and you helped us too. I don't know, but I think if life decides to make me just a simple human, I think I could be a human hero, and I need to learn it from the best of them." you said, and he hugged you again.
"You're too kind," he said. "But you still expelled for one week, so you'll have to talk with them about this, and I'll see what we can do after that." he added, and you smiled. “Look at you; they didn’t miss you.”
“You should see the other guys” you joked, and he rolled his eyes. When he unlocked the car, you opened the door, but before you walked to the tower, you looked at him. "Thanks, Clint. You're the best second dad I could dream to have." you said, and you left.
In the car, Clint had tears in the corners of his eyes. He called Laura and told her about what had happened. "She called me her dad." he said, and Laura smiled.
"She's already a big sister for Cooper and Lila, so I'm not really surprised," his wife replied.
In the tower, you talked with Wanda and Pietro, and even if your brother teased you, they promised to never let you feel like you were not enough. They liked you just like you were—with or without power, you were still their baby sister.

Growing Pains Part 3
Pairing: Wanda Maximoff x reader
Word count: ~12k
Summary: Little Nat is almost 13 and school’s a bitch. Retired mob boss turned stay-at-home mom Wanda has to figure out how to deal with bullies at her daughter’s school.
A/N: Credit to @rianncreates for this fic idea. Enjoy 😘
Warnings: Fluff, teen angst, injury, reference to previous injury/trauma, bullies, and mentions medicinal drug use
When Wanda wakes up in the morning, she can immediately tell that you’d left bed for a while at some point during the night. The faint smell of marijuana wasn’t one that she particularly liked, but she’d certainly gotten used to it over the years. She hated whenever you smoked because nowadays you only did it if you were in a lot of pain. She almost misses the days when you would just kickback, relax and smoke a little or too much with Yelena. The stress she’d felt then at seeing you high was less traumatizing than having to see you in pain.
You stir a little after she does and you sigh as you realize that you’re still very tired. Luckily you get to relax all day today and if you got your way, you wouldn’t have to leave the house at all. When you open your eyes, you smile at the sight of your wife with her beautifully mussed hair and sleepy eyes.
“Morning, Wands. Did you sleep well?”
Wanda smiles as she leans in to kiss you, and you hold her close as you try to force yourself awake. You’re still groggy when Wanda speaks up, and she runs a hand through your messy hair smiling as you grumble a bit.
“I did. What about you? Are you feeling better?”
You nod immediately because your cold trip outside to smoke for a bit had helped a lot. You’d taken Boone with you because you’d practically tripped over him on the way upstairs and he’d wanted to be near you. Wanda smiles at the fact that you had your dog outside with you at 2 in the morning. She sighs as she flops onto her back with a frown. You notice immediately and sneak a hand out to squeeze her side. You stifle a laugh as she jumps in surprise and shoots you a glare.
“What’s on your mind, love?”
You hadn’t realized that Wanda was thinking about last night too, and you quickly tune in to the conversation as you consider what is going on with your daughter.
“Did Pietro tell you what he and Natalya talked about last night?”
Wanda’s fidgeting and playing with the hem of her shirt as she thinks about what her brother had said. He was being a good uncle. What could that mean? Yelena had already said that Natalya had asked for advice but they’d been given no other hints. She frowns when you shake your head before relaying the very vague explanation that your brother-in-law had given you.
“He said that she had ‘girl trouble’ and that he gave her advice. Whatever that means."
Wanda frowns at all of the things this could entail and she forces herself to sit up with a sigh. She half-heartedly fixes her hair as she shakes her head. She shoots you a look that you can’t help but laugh at, and you push yourself up into a seated position before glancing at the clock.
“That’s terrifying to think about.”
You don’t really know what to say because even when you went upstairs to think about it you couldn’t figure out what was wrong. The only real hint you had was the question that Natalya had asked Wanda the other day. Maybe she was lonely and she wanted to figure out how to fix it. You really had nothing and you smile slightly as you lean against your wife with a shrug.
“At least she also went to Yelena.”
You think about your options and you realize that you’re just going to have to leave it be for now. You need to trust Yelena and Pietro, as well as your daughter to handle everything.
“I think we just need to see what happens. Asking her about it will only stress her out and keep her from going to them again.”
Wanda’s still frowning. She realizes that you’re right and that she’s going to have to leave this in the trio’s hands. She’s still trying to convince herself that she shouldn’t feel hurt by this. She was glad that Natalya was comfortable going to her uncles and aunts. She just wishes that she could be that person for her daughter.
“That’s also terrifying to me.”
Natalya is downstairs making a breakfast of heated leftovers when her parents emerge from their room. They all usually sleep in on Sundays, but Nat had woken up early and couldn’t go back to sleep. She’d hung out with Boone and Fletcher for a while before letting the former out and heading to the kitchen. There were plenty of leftovers to eat and since there was more than enough for lunch, dinner, and breakfast, Nat eats some cheesecake and some chicken before she hears her parents’ door open upstairs. She hurries to put the cheesecake back into the fridge, but her moms knew her too well.
“Don’t bother, Little Nat, I’m going to eat some of it too.”
“Please tell me you’re going to eat something else too.”
You’re not even sure who Wanda’s talking to, but you nod anyway before smiling as you greet your daughter in the kitchen. You hug the brunette and plant a kiss on the top of her head before you glance around the kitchen to see if any food was left out. You’re thinking of what you’ll eat for breakfast when Wanda comes up for her hug.
“How did you sleep, milaya?”
You release Nat as you walk to the coffee machine to get your wife caffeinated as quickly as possible. You’re more concerned about what you’ll eat, but you keep an ear open for what your daughter says. You’re grabbing some leftovers with a loaf of bread on top for your wife’s usual toast. Nat’s yawning as she hugs her redheaded mom before pulling away quickly. She shakes out her hand with a scowl as she berates herself for continuing to forget that she’s hurt.
“Ow, I slept well. I just woke up hungry.”
You laugh at this as Wanda rolls her eyes because of course her daughter is hungry. It’s hard to find a time when she’s not hungry, and it actually was a very good indicator when she was younger that something was wrong. It still applied most days.
After grabbing everything you’ll eat for breakfast you leave briefly to go walk the dogs. Rogue and Boone were sitting at your feet and begging with their sad eyes to eat. You let them out for a minute on their own as you fill their bowls and grab their meds. You hurry through your routine of hiding them in wet food before placing them in the designated bowls. Rogue comes in first as usual and he tries to stick his head in his brother’s bowl. You redirect his attention to the other one before looking over your shoulder as Boone comes running inside.
“It’s okay bud. I kept him from eating your breakfast. You’re welcome.”
Wanda can’t help but smile as you have a conversation with your dog before joining them for breakfast. Nat’s already sitting at the table when Wanda sets down her plate and glances at you curiously. She’d already made sure you took your meds this morning, and as she watches you pile food onto your plate, she can’t help but smile.
“All good over there, detka?”
You nod before running over to the table and setting your mostly milk coffee down. You kiss your wife’s cheek before rounding the table to kiss Nat’s too. You know that you both decided not to ask Natalya about what she told Piet and Yelena last night, but that didn’t mean you couldn’t encourage her to mention it.
“Did you have fun last night, kid?”
Natalya is already smiling as she takes a bite of her breakfast with an enthusiastic nod. She waits until she’s done chewing to offer a verbal response, but you’re patient as you run back to the kitchen for your food. Once you sit down beside your wife you are immediately flanked by both of your dogs who are looking for a second meal. You pat both of them on the head before turning your attention to Natalya.
“Yeah! It was great. I loved the food, and Bucky’s present is so cool!”
You stop short of taking another bite when you realize that you’d forgotten about Bucky’s unconventional gift. One glance at your wife tells you that she did too, and now you’re both wondering if she’d taken it upstairs with her. Wanda frowns as she sets down her coffee and tries to figure out where the very large knife that their friend had given Natalya was.
“Where is it, Natalya? I didn’t get a chance to look at it. “
Little Nat is up and running upstairs to grab it before you can even roll your eyes at your wife’s less-than-subtle question. You just watch your daughter disappear before you turn to Wanda with a smile. She shoots you a look that you just shake your head at before continuing to eat your breakfast.
“I didn’t say anything.”
Wanda doesn’t have time to respond before Nat is returning to the table. She luckily stops before running into the table, and she sets the large knife down carefully beside her mom’s plate. You watch as Wanda picks it up and looks it over carefully. She’s less interested in the design and she’s paying more attention to the fact that Bucky seemed to be right. She tugs on the handle and tries to free the knife, but with no success. Natalya’s gone back to her breakfast at this point, but she glances up to see her mom struggling and she shakes her head.
“I tried for a while, Mama it’s not coming out.”
Wanda frowns at this before handing it across the table to you. You sigh as you take the weapon and look it over with a frown. You still can’t believe that Bucky gave this to your daughter. You only try to get the knife out for a few seconds before you shake your head. You hand it back to Natalya but as she goes to blindly grab it you hold it back until you have your daughter’s attention. Nat looks up and you shoot her a serious look.
“You can keep this for now, but if you get it to open you have to give it back to Bucky.”
You turn to Wanda to make sure she’s okay with this plan, but when she just sighs you figure she has no objections. Nat takes the knife back with a smile before taking the last bite of her food.
“Thanks! Do we have any plans for today?”
Despite not sleeping well last night, you’d been on board for Natalya’s idea to spend some time outside. She wanted to walk the dogs up the mountain and regardless of the fact that exercise is not something you want to do today, you suck it up. You and Wanda get changed before heading outside to meet Natalya where she’s sitting outside on the deck waiting for them. Boone and Rogue were wandering around with their tails wagging excited to be going on a walk. Despite being older, they still loved hiking and could go for a few miles before getting too tired. They moved slower, but you did too so you didn’t mind at all. You smile as you greet your daughter and then dogs before turning to your wife.
“Alright, ready to set out?”
Natalya smiles before nodding happily and grabbing Boone and Rogue’s leashes. You don’t usually keep them on leashes when you go out, but you let Nat do what she wants. You figure she’ll let them go off leash a little later. You grab your walking stick from Wanda before you usher her off of the deck with a cheeky smile.
“After you, milady.”
Wanda rolls her eyes but she steps down from the deck before taking your free hand with a sigh. She hopes that Natalya doesn’t want to go too far because she has a date with you and the couch later and maybe her cat. She’d wanted to be lazy today, but she does enjoy seeing how Natalya happily leads her dogs up the path.
“Boone slow down!”
You consider taking one of the dogs from your daughter, but she seems to be having fun trying to keep the duo on the path and walking side by side. You hold Wanda’s hand as you two walk behind your children watching them carefully, but letting them get a ways ahead of you. You turn to your wife as you think about what tomorrow will bring.
“I should be able to leave work early tomorrow so I can drive with you to Nat’s game.”
Wanda smiles at the reminder that her daughter had her first game of the season tomorrow. The two of you had talked to Natalya about her interest in sports early on when she started middle school. Rather you’d had to encourage her to give them a try. She had been very against doing anything that involved other people. She wouldn’t join any clubs, and you and Wanda were worried that she wouldn’t have any friends. When she finally agreed to try and play basketball it only lasted for a week, but she made two friends in that time. Natalya was still friends with both of them, and they were the ones to convince her to try out for softball which went a lot better than basketball. She was a little too inattentive to play such a fast-paced game.
“Okay, just let me know if you’re running late.”
One perk of being an administrator/vet was getting to choose your own schedule to accommodate your daughter’s schedule. You usually worked longer days on Tuesdays and Thursdays so you were free for game nights. You and Wanda made it to every game, and depending on what your friends were up to they’d come along too. Natalya pretended to be embarrassed when her aunts and uncles all showed up and cheered for her along with her parents, but you knew that she secretly appreciated it. She also loved it when Boone and Rogue could come, even if most of the time they sat in the grass and were pet by small children. The last game of the previous season, everyone had come out and Pietro had been so into it that you’d filmed him to show Nat later.
“Pietro will be there, but I don’t know about anyone else. He’ll probably meet us there.”
You nod as you step over some rocks in your path with a huff. So much for staying on the path. You’re glad you brought your stick because it helps with your balance, but it can be a pain to carry. You make sure that Nat and the dogs aren’t too far ahead before you turn back to Wanda with a questioning look.
“Sooo… has she told you what she wants for her birthday yet?”
Nat forces herself to slow down a little bit and she lets Boone and Rogue walk ahead of her. She always forgets how much her dogs like being outside and in the woods. They stop briefly to sniff something and Nat takes a deep breath before looking around curiously. They’ve strayed from the path a bit, and she winces at the fact that she hadn’t even noticed. She’ll get them back on track once the dogs get their noses out of…what was that?
“Guys, come on, what’s so interesting?”
Nat pulls the shepherds back a bit and her nose scrunches up in disgust at the sight of a giant pile of shit. She mutters under her breath before leading the dogs back to the path with a smile. She stops to pet both of them for a bit until she hears her parents’ footsteps behind her.
“Is it okay to let them off leash?”
You smile as you nod and wave the two dogs to run ahead. They both look to you once they’re freed as if asking for permission and you just wave them off again with a sigh.
“Yes, you can go. Be free, but be good!”
The two dogs run off side by side and you smile at the sight of how adorable they look. They’re running so close to each other that they look like one large furry blob with too many legs. They’ve really come a long way from what they were when they first met each other. You’re so glad that they managed to grow close, and over the years you’ve seen them take care of each other in ways that bring you to tears. You don’t realize you’ve spaced out until you feel someone tug on your hand. You look up to see Natalya smiling at you, and you nod in response before letting her lead you.
“Ready, Mom?”
The next twenty minutes or so pass quickly as Natalya chats with you and Wanda about how school is going and her friends. She talks a little bit about softball and what she expects Monday to go like. You’re glad that Natalya has liked the sport more than you both thought she would. Honestly, she was just super competitive and liked the idea of being on a team with her friends more than the actual sport, but still. You were glad that she’d found something that she enjoyed.
“Moms can Taylor and Alyssa maybe come over after the game? For victory pizza?”
You smile widely at this while Wanda sighs in defeat. This was a tradition you’d started with your daughter when she first started playing sports. It was mostly to encourage her to put in effort, and just as it did for you, food was your daughter’s greatest motivator. You’re already nodding at this and you look to Wanda to see that she’s shooting you a look that just makes you laugh. You know that you’re a bad influence, but luckily this is just a seasonal thing, and your daughter eats healthily otherwise. If anything, she’ll get pizza with some sort of vegetable on it.
“That’s a great idea. Now you just have to make sure you win.”
Nat’s about to feign offense and insist that they will definitely beat the team they’re playing tomorrow, but the sight of the dogs running toward them stops her in her tracks. She’s frowning because they usually don’t run home, they usually drag their feet because they’re tired or they don’t want to leave. This is odd. You seem to think so too and you stop in your tracks with a frown before you look between your two dogs curiously.
“What is it you two? Tired already?”
Boone’s whining and Rogue is already trying to herd you back the way you came, and you’re not sure what to make of this. You look out to where they came from and don’t see anything suspicious, but you didn’t really expect to. Wanda is trying to push Rogue away from her, but he keeps rubbing his head on her legs trying to push her back down the path.
“Rogue, stop it.”
When he barks at her you realize that something is up. He only ever barks to get attention and you decide that it might be best to listen to him this time. You realize you don’t have to convince your wife because she’s on the same page as you. She’s shooting her dog a confused look, and when she reaches out to pet him, he mouths at her hand. She pulls her hand back quickly and shoots him a glare but he just whines as he starts to head back the way they came.
“Ow, fine we’ll go. Come on let’s go.”
Wanda turns back to wave you and Natalya with her, but she stops short when she sees that you’ve walked away from them up the path. She opens her mouth to shout for you, but she doesn’t get a chance before you’re turning around and walking back down the hill and reaching out for both her and Natalya. You look mostly calm, but Wanda can tell from your wide eyes that you’re worried.
“Okay, okay. You’re right let’s go. Quickly.”
Wanda frowns but doesn’t hesitate to follow you and Rogue as she grabs Natalya’s hand. She’s a little confused and she speaks up before Wanda gets a chance.
“Wait, why? What’s going on?”
You look behind you before reaching out to pet both of your dogs as they continue on the trail occasionally looking back to make sure you’re following. You then put an arm around your daughter’s shoulders and then one around your wife’s waist before whispering under your breath.
“The dogs wanted to let us know that there is a mama bear with her babies over that hill.”
Wanda’s eyes widen in surprise and she turns to make sure they’re not being followed. Luckily all she sees is green trees, dirt and rocks. No animals in sight. She picks up her pace a little though and you smile before looking to Natalya who’s smiling in awe.
“That’s so adorable!”
Despite thinking this, she knows what her mom is going to say. It’s a good thing that the dogs were with them because stumbling on a family of bears could be a dangerous situation. You’re not sure that your knife hidden in your walking stick would be enough to prevail.
“It is, but we stay very, very far away from them, right Little Nat?”
Your daughter is already nodding as she runs ahead toward her very good dogs with a wide smile. She scratches both of them and kisses their slightly sweaty heads as she praises them for their smarts.
“Yes! You two knew that too, huh? Such smart boys!”
You can’t help but smile proudly and Wanda links her arm with yours as you both watch your children walk ahead of you. Your mind wanders to the other fur child at home and you scoff before muttering under your breath.
“Fletcher would have led us right to them, I’m sure.”
You laugh when your wife turns to shoot you an offended look, but she really can’t argue with you. In her old age, Fletcher has gotten even less tolerable of disturbances in her daily routine. She napped, groomed herself, ate, and chased the balls of dog fur that she found on the floor. She had a pretty good system and the idea of her going outside at all made you laugh. You’re sure that she was too lazy to go far at all. One time Nat was young and accidentally left the door opened, and Fletcher had escaped and immediately run up a tree. You found out later when feathers floated down to the ground, that she’d just gone up there to catch a poor bird.
“Oh hush.”
You and your family arrive home without further incident and you quickly lie down on the couch in the living room with a dramatic sigh. You are going to stay here for a little bit and you ignore the hustle and bustle around you of the dogs getting resituated after a quick drink and a treat from Natalya. You feel someone jump on your stomach and you know without looking that it’s Fletcher saying hello. She digs her claws in you right as you open your eyes and you glare at her before promptly lifting her off of you.
“Ow! Fletcher you little –grrr.”
You shake Fletcher in the air for a bit until she starts to try and get away. You wonder if she’d still land on her feet if you threw her, not that you ever would, but that thought is quickly cut short by her being snatched from you.
“Y/n, don’t be mean to her! Poor baby.”
You aren’t surprised in the least to see your wife standing over you cuddling her cat in her arms. Fletcher’s such a ham and she stretches out all of her legs before rubbing her face on Wanda’s chin. You roll your eyes before sitting up and looking around to see where your daughter is. She’s unsurprisingly in the kitchen getting a snack so you speak in a hushed whisper that only Wanda and her cat can hear.
“She’s full of it. She clawed me that little shit.”
Wanda shoots you a look that you just wave off before you lie back down and reach for the remote. You let your wife fuss over her cat while you find something to watch on TV. You’re not really in the mood for anything dramatic, you just want white noise as you rest for a bit. You yawn as you drop the remote back on the table and get curled up on the couch with a groan.
“Tired?”
You shake your head despite snuggling further into the couch and hugging a pillow with your eyes closed.
“No, I’m good. I’m good. I was just going to stretch out here for a bit.”
Wanda just nods thoughtfully at you, not that you notice, before she sets Fletcher down and looks over to her daughter in the kitchen. It’s about lunch time and Nat’s gotten an early start, but Wanda’s not hungry yet and she’d like to lie down too. She eyes you where you’re sprawled out on the couch and instead of getting possibly elbowed or kicked off, Wanda decides not to surprise you.
“Can I join you?”
Your eyes open immediately and you’re smiling as you hold your arms out for her. Wanda grabs your hands before crawling on top of the couch carefully so she doesn’t squish you. Not that you seem to mind because you wrap your arms around her waist and pull her down so she falls on top of you. She yelps and you laugh as Natalya looks over her shoulder at you two and she just rolls her eyes before turning back to her food. You and Wanda finally get settled and neither of you bother with the TV as you lie on your back with your wife cuddled up beside you.
“Comfy?”
Natalya’s question is answered with a hum from you and a nod from Wanda who opens her eyes to confirm that her daughter is standing over her. She watches her put her food down on the coffee table before grabbing her phone, but she doesn’t realize she’s taking a picture until it’s too late to stop her.
“Natalya, don’t. No pictures.”
This makes you open your eyes and you see that Little Nat is indeed taking pictures of you, and you scowl before turning to hide your face in your pillow.
“Noo, Little Nat listen to your mom.”
“Aw come on! You look so cute! I won’t send it to Uncle Pietro.”
Wanda shoots her daughter a look that makes her laugh but she still nods in confirmation because she doesn’t want to get in trouble. She wouldn’t do something that dumb.
“Don’t you dare.”
Natalya just grabs the remote and sits at the end of the couch so she can still be nearby her mothers but not in their way. She grabs her food and starts to look for something to watch. She’s pretty sure her moms are going to sleep soon, and she might as well after lunch, but for now she’d like some background noise. Maybe she’ll watch a Disney movie.
An hour later, her parents are asleep as she suspected, and she’s still snacking as she watches a Disney movie she’s seen 70 times at least. She is watching her favorite song scene when her phone vibrates on the coffee table. She hurries to grab it so it doesn’t wake up her parents, but they are too relaxed to notice or care. You don’t even stir because you’re the heavier sleeper, but even her redhead mom barely moves at the sound. She smiles at the sight of you cuddling before she glances to the last bit of the song playing on the screen before turning her attention to her phone.
Got us this today.

Nat almost forgot that her friends had gone to the mall today. She had considered going, but she enjoyed the time she’d spent with her parents and dogs today. She’d see her friends tomorrow and then they had a game after school. If they won, when they won, she’d get to have them over for pizza.
Nat looks at the picture of a t-shirt that she’s definitely seen before, but never got around to buying. It was a shirt that had the words ‘two moms are better than one’ on it. She and Taylor had mentioned getting these, but the other brunette had joked about wearing them to school together. Now they actually could. Natalya considers how this would go. She would definitely feel better to have Taylor do it too despite the fact that Stacy hadn’t really bothered her about having two moms. She was a little surprised, but she didn’t seem to care about that detail. She mostly harassed her for being a loner.
Natalya feels the urge to open up to her friend. The transient feeling of courage at the idea of walking into school wearing the shirt makes her type out a text and send it without thinking.
T, I need you to teach me how to throw a punch.
To be honest her aunts had taught her when she was younger, maybe 8, but she hadn’t practiced at all and she’d since forgotten. She knows that her friend will have her back and if she really chooses to go after Stacy, or at least retaliate, she needs to be prepared. She sets her phone down and allows herself to panic for a few seconds about the commitment she’s made. She knows it the right one. Maybe not the violence part, but she has to stand up for herself, right?
Nat’s still freaking out a little when her phone vibrates a couple seconds later. She ignores her movie and texts her friends for a bit mostly to ask about how the rest of their time at the mall went. Taylor seemed to realize that beyond agreeing to do as Nat requested, any other conversation about it should be in person. She didn’t want to put her on the spot or make her change her mind because she wanted Nat to do this. After talking to her moms briefly, Taylor decided that she was going to do everything she could to get Stacy off Nat’s back. She’s glad that Nat seems to finally be on board with it. She’ll just have to see how things go.
Despite the fact that she loved games and would always look forward to them, Natalya couldn’t deny the nerves that always plagued her during her first at-bat or first time in the outfield. She had just finished warming up and the she glances to her friends as they take the field first since it’s a home game. She watches Taylor throw one more practice pitch before the game begins. Taylor gets the ball back from the shortstop before turning to the batter that now waits for her.
The stands were all full and most of them with their fans. Nat's family alone took a whole row, and she smiled at the sight of her moms talking to Taylor's and Alyssa's dad. Her aunts sat beside you and then her uncle Pietro is between Steve and Bucky. They all scattered their arrivals. Her parents arrived first together while Nat and Yelena carpooled with Steve and Bucky. Pietro was later than he'd said he'd be, but he was sliding into a seat beside you before the first pitch was thrown.
After a quick stop beside the bleachers to greet their families, Nat, Taylor, and Alyssa all had to get ready to start. Nat did her best to remind herself to focus today despite the excitement of the first game, and the promise of pizza afterwards. She assumed they'd win and maybe that's why her attention was so hard to win over today.
She doesn't truly realize that she's spaced out until she's hit in the face by a ball. She'd been waiting for Taylor to throw the first pitch, only to realize she had thrown two and this third one was now sailing toward her. Despite her distracted state she'd had her hands up already, so when she spots the ball out of the corner of her eye she can catch it. However it hits her cheek first before falling into her glove, and she curses in surprise as she looks down at the ball with a frown.
"Well that works."
Natalya mumbles under her breath before she throws the ball back to the player at second base who shoots her a concerned look that she's already waving off. She's fine. It just aches and burns. When Taylor gets the ball back, she calls a timeout much to Nat's embarrassment. When her friend waves her toward the infield she shakes her head, but Taylor doesn't accept this. She waves her over and mouths "come here" and Nat finally relents with a sigh. She studiously avoids looking toward the stands, but she already knows she has far too many eyes on her.
"What's up?"
Taylor shoots her a look before glancing at her reddened and patterned cheek. She frowns as she smacks Nat's shoulder with her glove, and shoots her a questioning look.
"Do you want to go ice that?"
As expected, Nat shakes her head and manages a smile that's not too mangled before shrugging. She'd rather not dwell on the fact that she got so distracted so quickly and get on with the game. Taylor gets this and resists looking to the stands as well as she nods and sends Nat back to her post.
"Alright, your funeral. If you can focus and get through the rest of the game without getting hurt, you can have some of my pizza."
Nat's face lights up and Taylor just laughs before turning back toward Alyssa who had to resist the urge to come over too. She knew Nat wouldn't want all of the attention, and she'd rather not have to stand up only to squat down again.
"Really?"
"Yes, get to it."
You cringe and you hear Wanda gasp as you both watch the ball head toward your daughter who you quickly realize wasn't paying attention. Instead of her just missing the ball and having to scoop it up off the ground, it meets her face with an audible smack.
"Oh shit."
You hear your brother-in-law mutter this under his breath and you just nod in agreement as Nat manages to hold onto the ball. Well that's something at least. You only have a moment to wonder if someone's going to address this before Taylor's calling a time out and waving Nat in from the outfield. Your stubborn daughter tries to resist, but Taylor is equally stubborn and you watch as Nat runs in to talk to the other brunette. They have a short conversation before Nat's smiling and heading back. You can see her face is red and looks a little splotchy, but you're mostly worried about her mouth. Specifically if she knocked any teeth loose.
"Of course, she's just going back."
You turn toward your exasperated wife with a small smile as you pat her hand with a sigh of your own. Wanda turns to you and you kiss her cheek before whispering something that makes her roll her eyes.
"So stubborn. She gets that from you, my love."
Instead of arguing uselessly, Wanda just squeezes your hand before leaning against you with a sigh. She's glad that you were able to get off of work early today. You hadn't been sure when your day started because a potential emergency had been called in and they couldn't be seen until the end of the day. You'd been willing to see them then or earlier, but they'd ended up making other arrangements leaving you free to leave right on time. You met Wanda at home and debated bringing your dogs but that was a lot of fur and higher maintenance than you wanted this to be. You figured your many family members and exuberant daughter would be enough to keep you busy.
"Are you thinking about your fur babies?"
You consider trying to lie, but as you watch your daughter's friend make a fairly difficult play look easy you just sigh. You're honestly a little worried about your boys. Rogue is having a lot of trouble walking on hardwood floors, and it takes him a little longer to get up in the mornings. Once he gets going he's better, but watching him slip and struggle to get his footing is hard. You feel bad for him, but he's still a happy, healthy dog otherwise so you just do what you can to help him. There are a lot of carpets and rugs around the house to help him out, but the moment he touches hardwood he slows down. You think about your other dog and how he's better at getting around since he's a little younger, but his hearing is spotty at times. You remember when he could hear you shift in bed upstairs, and he'd come up to try to wake you. Now you could sneak up on him and startle him despite calling out his name.
You forget about these concerns for now as you wait for the third out. Regardless Wanda knows where your mind went because you've already discussed your concerns with her. She knew how difficult it was for you to talk about your fur children aging, and bringing up the subject of them dying made you cry. Despite having Boone longer, you love both of them and hate to see them suffer. You'd already told Wanda that if Rogue gets worse or Boone starts to struggle similarly, you'll need to have this discussion again.
"You know me so well."
Wanda squeezes your hand, but any response she'd had is cut off by the crack of a bat against a ball, and you both look up at the sound. Wanda spots it first and once she realizes it's trajectory is past the infield you both sit up a little.
"Take 2."
You wait to see what happens, and you smile as Little Nat runs to get under it. You had never been particularly athletic when you were younger. You played softball at Nat's age too mostly for something to do, but otherwise neither you nor Wanda played any sports. When you realized that Nat had a talent for sports you didn't feel the need to make her play more than this one. She enjoyed being on a team and playing for the most part, but she never expressed interest in anything else.
Seeing her smile as she chases after the fly ball, you're grateful that she's found something that she enjoys. You're also grateful that when she catches it she doesn't fall on her face. Unfortunately this has happened before. When it's time to switch sides, you get a better look at Natalya's face to see how angry it is. You didn't even realize that Yelena had snuck off to the concession stand until she's placing a bag full of cold on your lap. You jump in surprise and turn to glare at your friend before you hear your wife's voice.
"Natalya!"
That tone coming from her mom makes her stop in her tracks and look around for the older Maximoff. She sees her mom holding something, and she hurries over to her with a smile.
"Food?!"
You and Little Nat's uncles laugh and Natasha rolls her eyes at the predictable question. Wanda just shakes her head before shaking the bag with a pointed look.
"No, ice."
Natalya frowns slightly but she takes it with a nod, and a thank you before darting away. You pat your friend on the back with a smile before sliding over to pull her up with a groan.
"Thanks, auntie Yelena.”
She nudges your shoulder, but when you nudge her back it starts to escalate to full-blown shoving. You grumble under your breath at the blonde who just responds in kind before you hear your wife speak up. She takes your arm to bring you back toward her side and away from Yelena before addressing you both. You’re the only one who looks chastised through, not that you’d expect any different.
“Kids, settle down. Natalya’s up soon.”
You nod obediently while Yelena just sighs dramatically before turning her attention to the field. Not so secretly, Yelena is super into these games and you’re often competing with her to see who can cheer loudest. When Yelena learned that Nat was going to be playing a sport she’d read up on it and bought everything she’d need to practice with her niece. You found it adorable but didn’t dare make fun of her out of fear that she’d stop. You loved seeing how much Nat loved spending time with her aunt, and you didn’t want to do anything to mess that up.
For this reason, you just smile widely as Yelena stands up in anticipation. Leading off is someone that she doesn’t recognize because she only really pays attention to Little Nat and her two friends. This girl is tall and she’s clearly first because she can get a hit and get on base. She sends the ball in between the left and centerfielders and the latter falls just short of catching it. It ends up being a double and Nat’s cheering along with her teammates as she steps up toward the plate. She smiles widely as she hears her family cheering behind her, and she resists the urge to turn around as she steps into the box and lays her bat across it.
“Let’s go, Natalya!!! Crush them!”
Yelena is practically shouting in your ear and you can’t shove her off of you because she has an arm wrapped around your neck. You’re about to ask her to let go because she’s leaning on you a lot, but as soon as Nat’s on base she turns to you with a sigh. She glances to the bleachers beside them that houses most of the away team’s family. She catches some of their gazes, but they turn away quickly so Yelena ignores them for now.
“So, I brought you something. A new strain to try.”
You turn to watch Yelena reach into her pocket and pull out a bag of marijuana. She pushes it into your hand and you mutter a curse under your breath. Despite being grateful, you quickly stuff it in your pocket so no one notices, but as usual your wife catches on quickly. You will have to remember that you have this on you so you don’t lose it because you’re very excited to try it. Your current prescription was okay, but you weren’t above trying new things. You wanted as much control over your symptoms as possible, and since Wanda was aware of this she didn’t give you too hard of a time. That said, your daughter’s game was not an ideal setting for a drug deal.
“Holy shit, Lena not right now. But thank you.”
“Really, Yelena?”
Yelena nods before watching the next person go to bat with a sigh. She reaches out blindly for Wanda who leans away from her with an unconvincing glare.
“It’ll help Y/n, don’t be mad.”
Wanda sighs in defeat before she focuses back on the game. Specifically, her daughter on first base. She’s bouncing impatiently ready to run, and Wanda wonders how the brunette has so much energy. She’s seen her run around the backyard chasing Yelena’s dog and Wanda’s convinced that she could go for hours before getting tired. She imagines that her daughter’s chasing one of her pets as she runs to second. Belatedly, Wanda realizes the ball was hit directly to her destination. Luckily the ball hits the base and bounces off toward the outfield, so Natalya gets there safely. She considers running to third but the outfielder snags it quickly leaving her stuck at second. When Taylor steps up to the plate, everyone but the pitcher and catcher take a step back. The brunette has a reputation of being a consistent hitter, and she often gets doubles, if not triples. She doesn’t disappoint and when the first pitch is a strike low on the outside, Taylor sends it to the fence.
Everyone's cheering and standing up as they watch the rest of the players on base run home. Natalya gets there in plenty of time and she gets out of the way but watches as Taylor rounds second and heads for third despite the outfielder having the ball.
“Run Taylor, run!”
She and everyone else watches as the ball’s thrown when Taylor’s only half way to third. She sees the other player ready for the catch, so she quickly gets down and tries to avoid the tag. She’s covered in dirt but her hand's on the bag before she feels someone smack her with their glove. Luckily the call is made quickly and she gets a time out so she can stand up and brush herself off. Her team and family are cheering for her, and she offers them a little smile and a nod of her helmeted head. Alyssa’s up next and she knows that the blonde will bring her home. She relaxes a little and waits for the wind up of the pitch to get ready to run. She’s a few feet off the bag when she sees Alyssa duck out of the way. Once she realizes the ball is behind the catcher she keeps running and hits home before the pitcher can run up to help with the tag.
“Nice!”
“Get us to 4 to 1? No pressure though.”
Alyssa shoots her a glare but Taylor just laughs before heading to the dugout. She’s covered in dirt and it’s only the first inning, but similar to how Nat’s always hurt, she always goes home covered in dirt stains. She shares some of them with Nat as she hugs the other brunette with a wide smile. She pulls away and is holding up some snacks that Taylor immediately grabs with a grateful look.
“Way to go! We’re one step closer to pizza!”
Taylor rolls her eyes but she can’t argue with what Nat’s saying. Instead she turns her attention to Alyssa who has only been thrown one strike out of 4 pitches. She briefly glances toward the bleachers with a frown. Despite being a lot better than this team, she hopes that the game has at least been entertaining.
Wanda is talking to her brother when you hear the first insult that the other team’s crowd throws. You hadn’t given the opposing team much thought, but hearing their variety of insults makes you wonder if it’s better not to. Your daughter and her friends run out of the dugout back onto the field when the woman speaks up. She’s dressed in a simple sundress, and she has heavy makeup on that’s noticeable even with her sunglasses. Her long red hair is clearly dyed  but you and Yelena are more concerned by her snide comment. You’re unaware that she’s loud enough to catch your brother-in-law’s attention until he responds almost immediately. Your brain is still trying to process what she said and how you could appropriately respond. Pietro beat you to it though.
“No wonder they’re doing so well. They’ve got a bunch of dykes on their team.”
Now your daughter has never explicitly told you anything related to her sexuality, and that’s fine with you and Wanda. You don’t care either way as long as she’s safe and kind to whoever she’s with, and they’re the same to her. The details are less important. You don't know how Taylor or Alyssa’s parents feel, but the looks on their faces is hint enough. They look as confused and pissed off as you feel.
“What did you just say?”
“Excuse me?”
You turn back to your wife when she speaks up. She looks furious and it only takes a few seconds for her to be standing up next to her brother who’s shooting the redhead a glare. She doesn’t seem fazed by it or the nearly half dozen set of eyes on her. She simply elaborates in a way that brings those she’s talking to into it, and specifically blames them.
“It makes sense after all. Dykes raise dykes.”
Pietro goes to get off the bleachers to most likely yell at this woman, but Wanda stills him with a hand on his chest and a stern look. She sizes up the other redhead with a scowl. She needs to be smart and not let her anger make her say something she’ll regret. She sees Taylor’s parents look equally mad but they seem to be waiting to see what she says. She’s not sure if she prefers this or not.
“Can you explain to me what you mean? I’m not sure I get how one relates to the other.”
You wince because you know where your wife is going with this. You aren’t sure if anyone else has caught on at this point, but you’re sure they’re suspicious since they know Wanda’s smart. Pietro is confused though while Nat and Yelena wait in silence to see how this plays out. Steve and Bucky were honestly the only ones paying attention to the game at this point.
When the woman speaks so matter of factly, Wanda has to resist the urge to smile at how well her trap worked. Wanda hates it when people are so blind and bigoted in general, but when that ignorance is directed toward anyone she loves she gets murderous.
“Simple. Growing up around those people makes them more susceptible to falling into similar unsavory ways.”
Nat has to grab her sister’s arm because she’s trying to jump off the bleachers to do who knows what. Steve’s picked up on the conversation at this point and he’s frowning as he turns away from watching Alyssa gets walked. You’re still tense with anticipation as Wanda moves from her seat and steps off the bleachers so she can speak without shouting.
“First of all, Natalya has grown up around many different people.”
She gestures to the annoyed people sitting behind her.
“Most of those people are her family, and yes one is my wife, but the idea of my daughter being influenced by anyone is laughable. She’s her own person, and no one is going to change that.”
She could say more but she holds back because cheering catches her attention. She turns toward the field to see that she’s missed Alyssa getting home, but another batter is tagged out in a double play leaving them with 2 outs. Wanda doesn’t hear a response or at least one worth taking note of, so she heads for the fence behind the batter’s box to watch for a while. She needs a moment to calm down, and she steals a glance at her daughter in the dugout. She’s a little surprised to see her already looking at her, and she offers a smile at her concerned look. She’s always so attuned to her parents feelings so she shakes her head so as not to worry her as she finishes up her game.
“Hey, that was badass.”
Wanda turns at the sound of her brother’s voice and at the same time she notices that you’re talking to Taylor’s parents with a small smile. She’s sure you’re making jokes or trying to make light of the situation, but she knows you’re not saying anything against what she’d done. You feel the exact same way about things as Wanda. You might be slightly more curious, but you would never ask outright. Wanda sighs before she shakes her head and looks back to the field.
“It’s just going to keep happening. Piet.”
Pietro frowns at the thought and the fact that he’s certain that his sister is correct. He’s honestly a little surprised that this is the first time that he knew of, or at least witnessed. Given how open Natalya was to her friends about everything, he doubted that his niece would hide the fact that she had two moms. In fact, he’s certain that she would defend them in any situation like this.
“I know, but all of us will do exactly what you just did. Natalya too. She would probably be less diplomatic about it though.”
Wanda laughs at this despite the fact that she doesn’t want her daughter cursing out anyone. She doesn’t need to get in trouble. She glances back toward the dugout to see that Natalya’s standing up and smiling as she cheers on her friends. She’s so proud of the younger Maximoff that she could cry just thinking about it too much. Her daughter’s become an intelligent, kind person who’s capable of taking care of herself. Wanda couldn’t be prouder.
“I know she will. I just hate that she has to deal with it.”
You shift so you’re turned toward Taylor's parents, and you prop your elbows on your knees with a sigh. You know that they’re still irritated at the redhead who’s looking at them as she whispers to the people beside her. You do your best to ignore it as you smile slightly.
“I’ve always disliked sore losers. Despite occasionally being one myself.”
Leah, Taylor’s brunette mom, laughs quietly as her wife relaxes slightly at your words. You know she’s the one who’s more prone to take offense at these types of things, and you don’t blame her. However, you don’t want the mood to be too ruined. It was the girls' first game of the season and they were winning so far and probably would in the end. You want to enjoy that. You want all of the parents present to enjoy that.
“I’m sure you’re much more gracious when you lose.”
You can’t help but laugh at this as you turn your attention to the blonde. She’s squeezing her wife’s hand in a way that reminds you to check on Wanda briefly before offering the couple a response. Wanda’s talking to her brother in hushed tones, and you can tell that they’re not speaking English based on how their lips are moving. You decide that Pietro has her covered for now and you focus on everyone else.
“I’m afraid Wanda would tell you differently if you asked.”
It’s not until the last inning where Nat’s team is up by 8 that you hear another insult worth noting. Taylor’s pitching and she just needs to hold them for another out before they win. She’s thrown two balls so far and she’s a little stressed because she can feel herself fading. She’d had a slightly violent tag at home, and despite getting the out the runner had slammed into her side in a spiteful yet somehow not ejection worthy play. Taylor had ended up on the ground and now being a little sore had become a lot sore as she continued to pitch. She threw another ball and she had to stop herself from cursing audibly as it hit the dirt.
“Shit!”
Taylor turns her back to the batter and tries to take a deep breath. She’s getting frustrated and whenever that happens she gets even worse at pitching. She looks out toward the outfield where she sees Nat looking at her with a small frown. When she sees she has the other brunette’s attention she gives her a wide smile and a thumbs up.
“Quit flirting and get on with it!”
Taylor tenses in surprise and anger at the words and she’s spinning around before she can stop herself. She looks to the stands opposite of her parents to try and figure out who spoke but she can’t figure out who it is. She decides to just throw the last pitch and get someone on first. She’s confident that if she tries to steal second Alyssa can catch her.
Wanda stiffens at the familiar voice and Taylor’s parents turn to glare at the redhead who they’d hoped had shut up. She ignores their looks and watches with another smile as Taylor throws the fourth pitch that’s a ball with a grimace. She curses again as she watches the girl walk to first and she turns back to Alyssa to catch the throw. The blonde hesitates as she shoots her friend a worried look that she just shakes her head at. She squeezes the ball tightly in her hand as she looks to her coach for guidance. She’s told to just do whatever which she loves and hates at the moment.
She tunes out the cheering from her friends on the field and her parents as she twists the ball in her hand. She can do this. One more out and she’s done. Then she gets pizza. This thought makes her smile slightly and she takes a deep breath as she winds up and throws a pitch right over the plate.
“Strike one!”
Taylor’s smile widens as she sees Alyssa smile before she turns to make sure the runner on base isn’t trying to steal. She watches her out of the corner of her eye as she catches the ball with a sigh. She glances at her coach and gets the same signal before winding up again. She feels her side spasm right before she releases the ball and she grimaces as she nearly doubles over.
She doesn’t throw a strike but the batter was anxious and she swings and makes contact sending the ball between first and second. She should have tried to get it but she can still feel her side throbbing so she just stands in the circle following the ball with her eyes. She watches it reach the outfield and she sighs in defeat when the first runner rounds second.
“Go three!”
Taylor breathes a sigh of relief as the ball is thrown to second and then third just in time for the lead runner to be tagged out. Once the game is called, she doubles over and rests her hands on her knees with a loud groan. She’s definitely getting a lot of pizza for this.
“How are you feeling, honey?”
Taylor offers a pained smile as she finishes chewing her victory pizza with her friends and all of their parents. They’d decided to go to the closest place and gotten the largest table to fit all 14 of them before ordering 5 pizzas. They were all glad the game was over for different reasons, but Taylor was probably the most relieved. Immediately after she’d come to the dugout her coach had been waiting with a bag of ice and Alyssa had promised to have her mom take a look at her side. She’d met them at the pizza place after her shift ended and she’d looked at Natalya and Taylor before they all sat down to eat. Other than being sore, she figured that the duo would be alright. They were young and resilient and she had no doubt that they would bounce back quickly.
“Tired, but good. I’m glad it’s over!”
Nat and Alyssa nod in agreement as they continue to eat their own pizza. Nat was sitting between her parents and Alyssa was next to her mom and Taylor who was leaning on her a little bit.
“Same! I was getting tired and angry.”
You’re surprised by this and you turn to your daughter to ask why she felt this way, but Alyssa beats you to it. You hadn’t realized that Nat could hear all of the insults that had been thrown out by the very sore losers.
“Me too. I forgot how annoying hecklers could be. And uncreative.”
Everyone nods in agreement as their minds go to one incident or another before Wanda decides to change the subject. She doesn’t want to dwell on the annoying woman who she hopefully wouldn’t see again. She takes out her phone and opens her dog cam app before handing it to her daughter. She knows that Nat loves to see what the dogs are up to and since she’d been about to check anyway she figures she’ll let Nat do it.
“Natalya, do you want to check on them?”
Nat immediately knows what her moms talking about, and so do her friends but most everyone else is confused. You understand of course and you smile before watching the brunette excitedly grab Wanda’s phone and quickly look to the screen.
“Yes! How are you doggos?”
Pietro just laughs before he smirks at his sister who’s about to take another bite of her pizza. Conversation continues as he eyes his niece curiously before speaking up.
“Are you sure you should give her free reign of your phone? Don’t you have nudes on there?”
Both you and Wanda shoot the older Maximoff an annoyed glare and Wanda considers slapping him. Instead, she’s surprised to hear her daughter speak up in only slightly choppy Sokovian.
“Ew, that’s gross Uncle Piet. I didn’t need to hear that.”
Wanda shoots her brother a smug look when he struggles to find a response for a few seconds. Although they’re not sure what is being said, Taylor speaks up with a curious look. She mutters mostly under her breath but everyone hears her.
“Do we even want to know?”
Taylor's well aware that despite loving him, Nat’s uncle can be trouble.  He mostly liked to bicker with his sister, but he also made sure to be a good and embarrassing uncle when at all possible. Natalya shakes her head as she continues to look through the many cameras in their house for her dogs. Fletcher was unsurprisingly just lounging on the couch.
“Definitely not. He’s being gross.”
You’re still smiling as your mind wanders to what could be on your wife’s phone. You don’t get very far because Wanda’s hand falls to your leg and she squeezes it as she mutters something that you only nod at.
“Get your mind out of the gutter.”
No promises. You smile and Wanda rolls her eyes while Nat shakes her head with a sigh. She’s spotted Boone who’s walking out of her parents’ room, and then Rogue who’s waiting on his bed downstairs for you all to come home. She shows the phone to her friends, and despite being less interested than her they still smile at the sight of Nat’s pets.
“Now mom’s being gross, but look at the good boys!”
Dinner ends and the trip home seems quick and Nat nearly falls asleep twice in the car. Once they arrive, she nearly runs out of the car to greet her dogs. You go to the backseat to grab her forgotten bag before reaching out for your wife’s arm with a smile.
“How is she still running around?”
Wanda just shakes her head as she follows you inside to find Nat greeting your dogs excitedly. After a round of scratches, both shepherds run toward you in greeting and you smile as you hold out your hand to them. Boone gets there faster as expected, but Rogue still makes good time as he runs into Wanda’s legs. Your wife laughs as she releases your arm and scratches her dog behind his ears.
“Hi good boy. We missed you.”
Both dogs bark in agreement and you decide then and there to take them to the next game. Maybe they’d scare away any hecklers. The dogs follow you around as you complete your nightly routines. Nat sits at her spot in the dining room with her book spread out over the table as she starts on her homework with a yawn. She’s always especially tired after a game, and she struggles to finish up as a couple hours go by and she's constantly yawning or distracted by Boone at her feet or Fletcher jumping on the table.
“How’s it going, Little Nat?”
You’d just finished up answering some emails for work, and after finally remembering to put up your pot, you decide to check on your daughter. Wanda’s cleaning up a mess Fletcher made, but you’re sure she’ll come downstairs soon to start busying herself in the kitchen. She usually makes Natalya’s lunch the night before and if she’s finished with homework, she’d help out. Since she’s finishing up work, Wanda might get started without her but cooking with her mom is one of her favorite activities. She loves spending time with her parents in any capacity, but if it involves food, dogs or movies she’s usually the most excited.
Nat looks up with a sigh before shaking her head and telling her mom the truth. She’s distracted as usual, but for the first time in a while it’s by something specific. She wonders if she should even bring it up given how quickly her other mom had changed the subject at dinner. Maybe she just hadn’t wanted to talk about it in front of other people. Or maybe she didn’t want to talk about it at all. That’s why she’s bringing it up to her vet mom first.
“Slow. I keep thinking about that mom at the game today.”
You had not been expecting this and you’re sure it shows as you frown and sit down across from your daughter with a curious look. You would like to see where Nat’s going with this.
“What about her?”
You’re not dense. You’re sure that your daughter’s thinking about her homophobic comments that she’d shared as the game went on. That said, you can’t say for certain what it is that’s specifically bothering her. Nat’s surprised you plenty of times in the past, and she really was a great reminder that assuming things was just a way to make a fool of yourself. You watch as scowls at the thought of what she’d heard and then been told by her friends earlier today.
She had faced very little backlash over having two moms. Maybe because she kept to herself mostly and no one paid that much attention to her. Or maybe she’d hoped that even young teens wouldn’t be so petty and close minded. The truth that she still didn’t know was that Taylor had played a large part in why no one bothered her. People made the mistake of coming after her first and unsurprisingly she fought back and warded them off from doing the same to her friend.
Nat finally looks over your shoulder as if checking to see of you’re alone before she finally admits what’s on her mind.
“I was just afraid that everyone would be like her, but I guess I wouldn’t know. I don’t remember people bothering you and mama when I was younger.”
You try not to react too much at what Nat says because this is a sensitive subject that you don’t want to mess up. You remember when Natalya was first born and Wanda was still very well-known despite being retired. No one dared to come after them or even look at them wrong after that first year with Nat. Whether this was Strucker’s doing or simply another example of your wife’s far-reaching influence you could only say that you were grateful.
Occasionally when Nat was 2 or 3, and you and Wanda would venture out together, you’d get stared at some, but that only lasted so long. Steve and Bucky hung out around you three at first because Wanda didn’t want to risk anything happening, but fairly quickly she realized that no one seemed to care about her anymore. It was a strange feeling because Wanda had spent so much time being at the forefront of her business, and as a very public figure she always turned heads and warranted people’s attention and respect.
One day after work, you’d come home to find her in the bedroom with a napping Natalya. You’d been concerned when you realized she was crying, and you’d immediately dropped down beside her and tried to figure out what was wrong. You’d been a little thrown off when she’d told you that she felt invisible. You automatically wracked your brain for what you could have done to cause her to feel this way. When you’d asked, she’d simply shook her head and told you what she meant.
No one pays attention to me anymore when I go out. It’s like they’ve forgotten who I was.
The smile after Wanda had said this clued you in to the fact that your wife was actually happy instead of upset. She’d never thought that she’d be able to walk through life without being noticed, without being a target, but she was and she was thrilled.
Your mind wanders back to the present moment and you shake your head as you shoot your daughter a smile.
“We didn’t really have this problem when we first met. This is the first time in a while for sure. I can assure you that even though there will be more people like her, she’s not the majority, Natalya.”
Nat nods absentmindedly. She believes you but she also wonders how you dealt with something like this. She needs a little advice now that she’s committed to try to get Stacy to leave her the hell alone. She wants to know how her mom would handle this. That said, she didn’t ask this immediately because she’s side tracked by the idea of her parents first meeting. She smiles slightly before tilting her head in a way that reminds you of your wife.
“How did you and Mama first meet?”
You chuckle under your breath as you shoot Natalya a curious look. You reach out your free hand to pet Boone who’s come to sit beside you before tilting your head in response. You don’t notice that Wanda’s finished up cleaning and she’s on her way downstairs when you respond.
“You’ve heard this story many times, Nat.”
The brunette nods in agreement because she certainly has, but she never gets tired of hearing it. She can’t help but adore how her parents just happened to be in the same place at the same time. She also loved how the story changed a little bit each time, and depending on who told it.
“I know, but I wanted to hear it again.”
Wanda sneaks downstairs as you tell Nat about how you two met decades ago. Both of you still thank whatever higher power brought you two together. Wanda occasionally wonders what would have happened if she had given up trying to find you. Would she be married? Or more likely would she be working still? She’s honestly not sure that she’d still be alive, but she pushes this thought aside as she quietly comes up behind you while you’re speaking.
“I still think that she skulked around until she saw me again.”
Despite the truth of your words, Wanda still rolls her eyes in exasperation as she sets her hands on your shoulders with a sigh. She’s smiling when you turn around to face her, and a hand covers hers before you pull her down to sit beside you.
“I did not. I just happened to be in the area.”
You scoff at the ridiculousness of this statement. Something that Natalya may never truly understand. You shake your head before squeezing your wife’s hand with a knowing look.
“Sure, Wands.”
Nat just smiles at her parents’ interaction before she debates telling them what she’d really like to know. She’s felt like she had it handled, but since getting burnt she realizes that maybe she’s just become complacent. She glances down to her hand that was mostly healed at this point with a frown. It only bothered her because it was itchy but she knew better than to scratch at the newly forming skin. Nat mutters something under her breath that her parents don’t hear, and she’s not brave enough to say it again.
“I want to be happy like you two.”
Wanda looks up at the sound, but she can’t make out what her daughter said. You’d been lost in the memory of meeting a beautiful, mysterious brunette, so you’d missed it completely.
“What was that?”
Nat quickly shakes her head before she wipes the tears she didn’t realize were welling up in her eyes. She’s happy for her parents. She feels so grateful to have two moms who love each other and her so much. Even when they’re scarring her when she walks in on them making out or she overhears them talking about nudes. She sighs as her mom walks around the table to pull her into a hug. She sinks into the redhead’s side before hugging her tightly.
“I’m glad you two found each other.”

Hello love 💕
Can I request hc for Pietro and Tangerine being the twin instead of lemon and tan? I mean I love lemon 🍋 but I'm just curious to how it would work , like them going to a mission to save the reader or something and then they're like yeah we gonna keep her (it's up to you if they like her or she's their new member in the gang)
Have a nice day love 💕
hii honey!! im really sorry for the delay, idk why but I struggled with this😭😭 I knew how they’d be different, but couldn’t think of how to word it and the crossover broke my brain lmao, so this is a bit shit🙂 but thanks for requesting, hope you like it💌
TANGERINE AND PIETRO AS TWINS HCS
tangerine x female reader x pietro maximoff
(they look so alike it’s crazy)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
— firstly, they bicker a lot !! I feel like pietro can be a little annoying at times, and he's always winding tan up - very clear little brother and big brother vibes (but like child and teen vibe)
— def think that tan gets frustrated with pietro while working, and he's always telling him to calm down and to think things through properly. tan is impatient, but pietro is much worse - he makes tan look calm and collected
— they're both very empathetic, but only pietro shows it.. talking of which..
— scenario time.. let's say they've been assigned to collect you (been kidnapped or something??? but you all kinda know each other beforehand) when they find you, pietro would probs be all up close, visibly worried- checking you over, asking if you're okay, holding you, but tan would look very relieved, his usual stoic demeanour cracking when he sees you look at him (like his eyes soften, or he frowns) I feel like he communicates with his eyes and maybe you nod, silently telling him you're okay (gonna say this now, im thinking friend/ brother vibes with pietro. more than friends/ bf vibes with tan)
— maybe it's pietro's idea to bring you back with them - so you're safe and looked after etc. tan is hesitant bc he's juggling his feelings about the situation. I feel like pietro is like a kid seeing a stray dog that asks his parents to bring it home - and that's probs the same (im not calling you a dog btw) but like that vibe, and he pesters a little, trying to bribe tan. he gives in, saying there's a spare room that you can have
— then you go with them and eventually join them ?? but they train you first !!
