could i request teacher!reader with hotch? like maybe she’s jacks teacher
thank you for your request! fem!reader, 1.2k
You're a teacher: you're always tired. Overworked, underpaid, everybody knows how it goes. And maybe you've let yourself go because you don't have any real material hopes for the future beyond getting Macy Danish to read at a first grade level, but how were you supposed to know that Jack Hotchner's father would be so overwhelmingly attractive? It's not fair.
He's handsome though older than you'd been expecting, but that isn't the cut and dry of it. When he comes in, it's alone, in a well-fitted suit. He's tall and remarkably dark-eyed, shaking your hand without trying to impose any authority, as some of the fathers tend to do, and when you call him Mr. Hotchner, he says, "Aaron, please," but continues to call you Ms. L/N.
"Aaron," you say, pulling your skirt under your thighs as you sit down. You're dressed in nice clothes for the parent-teacher conferences, but you could've covered your sleeplessness better. "Jack is the nicest boy in class. He's actually my loveliest kid. Um…" You search through your notes for the preliminary assessment of Jack. "Sorry, two seconds."
"Take your time. I know what it's like to dig through a mountain of paperwork every day."
"Jack mentioned you work in the government, he calls you a special agent," you say, smiling. "You get the bad guys."
"I am a special agent. Supervisory." Aaron is conscientious enough to pretend he doesn't notice your surprise. "I'm chief of the behavioural analysis unit."
You can't even begin to guess what that entails. "Oh," you say breathlessly.
"I understand that it sounds fantastical."
"It sounds impressive," you say, floundering to correct yourself. Behavioural analysis? It must be obvious to him how nervous he's making you, then, and when you realise that, you get worse. "I'm so sorry about this. I should be more organised. I usually am."
"That's alright. Take your time."
Does he always speak that way? His voice is like fucking silk? Is he messing with you?
You yank the notes you made for Jack from the pile and flatten them across the desk. "Okay, sorry. Like I was saying, Jack is really the nicest kid, him and his friend Molly. They're both lovely, and teachers shouldn't have favourites, please don't tell the other parents, but they're my favourites." You smile at him quickly and return your eyes to the paper. The words swim in front of your eyes. "Jack can read better than you could ever hope for a first grader, he's immensely intelligent for his age group. He's patient. He'll explain anything to anyone if they ask him too, and he does it well."
"I'm glad to hear that," he says, again so softly.
You pick up one of your skinny biros to have something to fidget with. He's a very good looking man, but you're a good teacher. You can focus on what to say. Some parents need good things only. Some need reassurement that they're doing a good job. Aaron is harder to read, but you know what he needs, too.
"He can be lonely," you say, looking him in the eye. "I don't think that that's down to any fault. I'm sure you know better than I do why he might feel that way." You know about his mom's passing over a year ago. You've seen grief in children too many times. "He… I understand if this isn't okay with you, but he eats lunch with me sometimes. I encourage him to sit with his peers, of course, but I think he runs out of energy pretty quickly."
Aaron nods thoughtfully. His brows quirk into a furrow that you're afraid is directed at you.
"I don't think he necessarily has trouble connecting with his friends."
"What do you think?"
"I think something awful happened to your family, and Jack will feel it for the rest of his life, but that it won't stop him from being great. It already isn't. And… he clearly has a father who loves him and who he admires. You're his second favourite topic."
"What's his first?" he asks.
"He's really into Fruity Fridays," you say with a laugh. "I bring in fruits you don't get often in America. Someone would've had to sign a form."
"No, I remember signing it. He likes that?" His smile is golden. "I can't get him to try new things."
"He had all the leftover gold kiwi last week." You rub your lips together. Time is ticking. You have nearly thirty parents to see tonight, but talking to Mr. Hotchner has been so normal. He's a regular person in a sea of inattentive helicopter narcissists. It's a relief and a half to meet him and know a kid as gentle as Jack is in good hands. "Mr. Hotchner, I have to tell you, I'm really relieved to meet you."
"Aaron," he corrects.
Your tone drops too low. "Aaron."
"I'm more than relieved," he says. "I knew that this year would be harder for him. I didn't know… I'm grateful to you, for being so kind with him."
You look down at your notes, flushed from head to toe despite your airy skirt. Crossing your legs, you shake your head. "It's my job."
"To let him take up the only break you get all day?" he asks.
"It's not like that. Jack doesn't bother me." You fold your notes in half. "I can see his role model measures up."
"I could say the same thing."
The next time you see Jack, bright and early Monday mooring shepherded by his aunt Jessica, he's very happy to see you. You offer him a hug and pat his back when he wraps his arms around your hips. "Hello, Jack. Was your dad pleased with your drawings?"
Jack smiles at you. "I have a note for you."
"You do? Can I see? Where is it, honey?"
Jack takes off his backpack and pulls out the note and a tupperware container. "Oh, wow, did you make treats for the class? Jack, that's so nice!"
"No. Dad said those are for you. He said you should have nice for nice, or something," Jack informs you.
"You'll share with me, though? I can't eat them all by myself," you whisper.
He nods with enthusiasm and runs off to put his backpack in his cubby and his coat on the hook. You look down at the cookies and note, which is actually an envelope.
You open it with your thumbnail. The writing is Aaron's usual tight cursive.
Dear Miss L/N,
I hoped to thank you again in person, but work makes that hard. I appreciate everything you do for Jack. There are teachers who work, and there are teachers who go above and beyond. I can feel confident anywhere in the country knowing Jack is being taught by the latter.
Gratefully yours,
Aaron Hotchner.
P.S. Please don't feed Jack too many cookies. They're not for him.
You keep the letter even if it's lame to do so. When is the next parent teacher conference, anyways?

(aged up) katsuki bakugou x female reader
contents: fluffy, reader is referred to as ‘mama’, mentions of food, reader and bakugou are married.
not proofread <3
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was a regular sunday morning for you and your little family as you stood in the kitchen getting breakfast ready.
Your five month old little girl was currently strapped in and lounging in her own tiny bean bag that was placed on the kitchen island facing you, babbling inaudible sounds to herself as she looked at her reflection in the squishy toy mirror she had.
you turn your attention away from the frying pan to let the food inside cook before turning to your daughter.
“how’s my little cutie doing?” you cooed softly, smiling as her face lit up at the sight of her mama. She “talked” away to you and gave you a big toothless grin.
you stroked her cheek gently with your finger and she shivered slightly with a giggle.
as you turned back to the stove a loud bang vibrated through your ceiling causing you and your daughter to flinch. all of the questions you had in your head soon went away when you heard your son sprinting down the stairs. the five year old boy practically slid in the kitchen with a mischievous look on his face.
“papas it!” he cackled when your seemingly out of breath husband rushed into the room.
“the little shit tackled me off his bed!”
you tried not to laugh as it would only encourage your son more. Opting to turn your attention back to the frying pan as you dished up the breakfast.
“Haru…what have we told you about being rough? you know your father can’t handle it.” you said teasingly, knowing katsuki would get riled up.
“Hah?!”
You and Haru started giggling which made your daughter let out a cute little laugh at the sight of her mama and brother laughing.
Whilst your son was entertaining his sister, Bakugou made his way over to you and grabbed a handful of your ass.
“katsuki, not in front of the kids.” you whispered, biting your lip. He smirked and pecked your neck.
“They ain’t lookin’ princess.”
He reached his arm over you to take the small plastic bowl with your daughters food in it before placing it on the kitchen table and picking up Kimiko, placing her in her high chair.
You followed him with a plate in each hand, setting one down for Haru and then giving the other one to your husband.
“Thanks, mama!” Haru said excitedly before digging into his breakfast.
“Thanks, babe.” Katsuki mumbled softly as he was feeding your little girl. You stifled a giggle whenever he put the tiny plastic spoon in her mouth and she wouldn’t let it go.
“cmon, Kimiko…tryna feed ya.” He smiled, leaning forward to boop her nose. Her button nose and crimson colored eyes scrunched up and she giggled.
You sat down at the table with your husband and kids. By the time you actually sat down your son was finishing up his plate.
“i’m done, mama.” He said proudly, nuzzling into your arm. You smiled down at him and ruffled his spiky hair.
“Good job, buddy.”
“can i have my candy bar now?” He asked, trying his best to give you puppy dog eyes.
“Okay, not too much though!” you called out after him as he practically sprinted to the fridge before making a bee line to his bedroom.
“Thanks mamaaaa!” He yelled as his voice grew quieter the more stairs he ran up.
“What a small ball of energy.” you laughed, eating your food and turning to Bakugou and Kimiko.
“She cleared her bowl after actually letting me take the spoon out her damn mouth.” Bakugou joked, gently stroking his daughters cheek like you do.
“My clever girl.” You smiled proudly at her.
Being too busy interacting with Himiko, you didn’t notice the way Katsuki looked at you. It was a look with nothing but love and appreciation.
He’ll always thank you for sticking by his side over the years and for giving birth to your beautiful children. He knows he doesn’t say it as much he should but he loves you so much.
If anyone were to ask him what his favorite day of the week is, he would say Sunday because it’s the lazy day he can spend with his Amazing wife, his energetic son and his adorable daughter.
riñītsos - little girl
The gods played a cruel joke… but they always do, don't they? You weren't supposed to be born and yet, here you were. A shadow of your older twin sister. Rhaenys was everything that you were not, perhaps that's why she was loved so much. You were different and you hated it. Both of you represented Visenya and Rhaenys, it wasn't hard to guess which one of them Rhaenys was. Your sister, named after the youngest of Conquerors, was as charming as Queen Rhaenys. You were twins, you looked the same and yet, you acted differently. You were Visenya and she was Rhaenys… and who cared about Visenya? Yes, they admired her for her strength and her epic battles, but what besides it? Rhaenys, on the other hand, was admired for her beauty, lovely personality, and battles. Rhaenys was like a better version of Visenya, maybe not as skilled in combat but still. Even Aegon himself noticed that, and that's why he married the other sister, that's why he spent more time with her than with Visenya. At least, that's what you were taught. That's what they taught everyone, ladies had no place in battles, especially princesses. Your parents allowed you to do so, after all, they were focused on their perfect little princess Rhaenys. You weren't jealous, you loved your sister greatly, you were happy for her…
but you were disappointed. No child should beg for their parents’ attention. You should have never been treated like a shadow of your own sister and yet… you were. Ever since you were born, Rhaenys was a sickly and delicate child so naturally, she was getting more attention but it never changed even though she became healthy. She had this good energy that you didn't, perhaps it was the gods’ will. Rhaenys was the sun and you were the moon. Even when you were bigger children, everyone was surprised that you played with the boys instead of learning with other ladies. Many traditional houses like House Lannister found it very repulsive, “a little girl playing with a big sword. Little girls should learn politics and how to please their husbands, they will never be ready for a real battle” was what they used to say. You knew they were wrong, but as a child, these words affected you. There was a time when you tried to be “normal” like Rhaenys, but all of the teachings and too-tight dresses were making you uncomfortable, forced smiles and perfect posture. It wasn't you and you couldn't pretend any longer. You felt like you were going to be the invisible twin forever, destined to live in the shadow of your older sister. Every time someone compared you to her, your heart was breaking. You just wanted them to notice you as you, not Rhaenys’ twin, but Y/n. There were very few things that brought you happiness: your dragon, it was your companion who seemed to understand your emotions. You were partners and you trusted him with your life, enjoying the flights at night on his back. The second thing: training with a sword, every time you picked one your heart was filled with joy. For in the training yard, you were free. Free to express yourself, free to show your emotions, free to show off your strength without being compared to your twin. On the training yard, you felt powerful and others admired you for your skills… but the thought of being a shadow always remained, a constant reminder of what you were not. One evening, you thought that perhaps everything would change when Rhaenys had this one crazy idea, you thought she wanted to spend some time with you when in reality she wanted to humiliate you.
Rhaenys wanted to have a horse race with you, just with you. You thought that finally, maybe your older sister would show that she cared about you, maybe there was a chance to bond after all. You were twins… you were one. You knew it wasn't going to be something nice as you saw that she prepared a pony for you and the fastest mare for herself. Rhaenys was no fool, she knew you wouldn't stand a chance, laughing with her noble friends. You never backed down from a challenge, you didn't back down from a race. Rhaenys was winning, it was a quick and easy win, but the gods love to play cruel jokes on humans, making her fall off the horse, her skull crushed because of a rock that she hit her head on. You couldn't believe it at first, one fall took her from you. Your older sister, your twin, your soulmate. It didn't matter how she treated you, how many times she would humiliate you in front of her friends, she was your sister and you could never hate her. The following events after her death were even more depressing. Even after her death, people saw you as Rhaenys’ reflection, never your true self. You yearned for someone to see you for who you were, for some kind of a connection… and Aemond gave you that. Aemond, who was your sister’s betrothed but ended up marrying you.
After Rhaenys’ death, there was chaos, many people blamed you, accusing you of murdering her. Your parents grew colder, did they believe that you were the cause of Rhaenys’ accident? You weren't sure of their feelings or thoughts, you never got to know them well enough. But the “alliance” between the family had to be kept, so your parents arranged that with Alicent and Viserys. Aemond was surprisingly silent, the same Aemond who would bully you in the training yard sometimes. The same Aemond that you always admired, he might have lost an eye but he gained so much more than a dragon, he gained a personality. He became stronger, he changed. You wished you could change, and become someone admired and loved like Rhaenys, but the moon will never shine as brightly as the sun.
Six moons passed before you and Aemond wed under the customs of Old Valyria. It was your wish, Aemond wasn't too religious but between Valyrian Gods and The Seven he was more fond of the latter, mainly because of his mother. At first, Aemond did not say a word to you but it changed over months. It changed as he got to know you and he couldn't help but feel a sense of familiarity. The way you behaved… It reminded him of someone. It took fifteen moons since Rhaenys’ death for you two to become closer, and life was starting to get better. But the gods love to play cruel jokes on innocent people.
Tumblr media
Aemond kissed your neck gently. Despite the circumstances of your marriage, he was affectionate and gentle. It didn't match his reputation but you didn't complain. Your body and mind longed for him every time that he was away. With him, you were feeling something that you had never felt before. You felt loved.
“Aemond,” you gasped surprised as he didn't wait for your answer and spread your legs wide. He was always so forward, and you were too… but never with him. It was surprising to you, how differently you acted around him, but you have never felt more like yourself.
“My pretty one,” Aemond whispers as his fingers move along the soft fabric of your dress, slowly going to the back of it to unlace your dress. You just tilt your head to give him better access to your neck, so he could give you more kisses. His hands worked swiftly, not wasting time. Your dress fell to the floor, revealing your body in undergarments. Aemond’s lips moved down to your collarbone, but this time, slower, he was getting rid of everything that you had left on your body. The feeling of his lips against your heated skin was bringing so much relief and pleasure. His lips were cold and a bit dry. After he got rid of everything and your bare body was on display, he picked you up not so gently and laid you down on your shared bed. Aemond ran his fingers along your collarbone, making you shiver at the coldness, his fingers moved down tracing patterns on your breasts. Aemond was playing with your sensitive nipples gently, biting his lip in satisfaction as he noticed how responsive you were. He was holding himself back from jumping on you right away. “Always such a good girl for me,” he kneeled between your thighs, ignoring his own arousal for now. “I need to taste this sweet cunt, will you let me, ābrazȳrys?” You blushed, despite being married to him Aemond was still affecting you like you two just met.
“Seems like my niece is unsure, I should remind her how good it feels, shouldn't I?” His slender fingers caressed your clit teasingly. Slowly, he licked up your slit, savoring the taste of your wetness on his tongue. Aemond pulled your legs on his shoulder before diving back down. The way he was twirling his tongue around your clit and along your folds had your body trembling. You tried to keep yourself quiet, you were a married couple but you didn't want to receive all those stares from others. “So good, the sweetest pussy in Westeros. I want you to cum on my tongue,” Aemond hums before plunging his tongue inside your pussy, his nose brushing against your clit. Your hips involuntarily bucking forward against his mouth. Aemond was looking straight into your eyes, his sapphire shining in the light.
“Are you trying to figure out if I will fuck you? You don't have to worry, perzītsos. I'm going to make you cum for the second time, but now, on my cock,” he pulled his breeches down. Aemond was undressing painfully slowly, enjoying the needy look on your face. Your lips parted at what he called you. You heard this one before, he used to call Rhaenys like that at their secret meetings. You just shook your head gently, it was just a coincidence.
“Aemond, I’m-” you interrupted yourself with a moan. Your husband knew your body, he knew how to touch you. Aemond just raised his eyebrows like saying “really, that fast?” but he kept going, eating your pussy like it was his last meal.
Your fingers pulled on his hair and Aemond felt himself getting harder, he liked it when you played with his hair, even more, when you were falling apart thanks to his skillful tongue. Aemond held your hips as your body trembled and you spilled your juices on his waiting tongue. Aemond licked you clean, teasingly slowly before standing up. “So sweet… only mine,” he licked his lips. His eye never leaves you, just scanning your exposed body hungrily. Aemond admired the way you looked, cheeks flushed and breath heavy after he pleased you. Your eyes locked on his breeches and the obvious bulge beneath them. You bite your bottom lip wondering if he's going to do something about it. You wanted him to do something about it, better yet, you wanted him to use you to do something about it.
“That looks painful,” you said softly, looking at his hardness. Aemond just nodded slowly approaching the bed, without a word he got on top of you.
“It is, but your precious pussy will help me with that, right zaldrīzes?” He sucked on your neck, leaving little marks. The head of his cock rubbing against your entrance, Aemond didn't rush anything.
“Yes please, Aemond. I need you inside me,” you look at him with those beautiful eyes of yours. They were so full of life… and need.
“Do you? What exactly do you need inside you?” Aemond stopped kissing your neck for a second, rubbing his tip harder against your entrance. Your pussy was aching, you needed him to fill you up.
“You’re always so tight, riñītsos. All tight and wet for me, huh?” Aemond taunts, setting a punishing pace. “I would die for that cunt,” he grunts, moving his lips lower to your nipples. Aemond LOVED your breasts, always sucking or licking them. “I will fill you up real good, perzītsos,” he used the nickname again… that one nickname… Maybe it was nothing. Aemond was making you feral, the way your bodies fit perfectly together. You reached for his eye patch and gently took it off, the sapphire shining as he looked at you confused. You didn't mind the scar, his beauty never scared you.
“Yes, yes I do. Please, I need your cock inside me,” you whimpered softly. Aemond smirked before kissing you passionately, he used that moment to push himself inside of you. You moan into his lips as his cock stretches you slowly.
“Yes, please… fill me up, valzȳrys. I wish to feel your seed deep inside of me, your little dragon perhaps,” you whispered softly. Aemond was going crazy whenever he heard you speaking in high valyrian. His cock twitched, he was getting so goddamn close. Your nails dug into his arms, but he didn't feel pain, only pleasure. With you, the pain was turning into pleasure. The way you accepted him for who he was.
“So eager to carry my offspring already, riñītsos? Do you wish for my seed to grow inside of you? To show everyone how good I fucked you? I will breed you, make you carry my dragons… we are going to make an army, aren't we? We will beat Jaehaerys and Alysanne, sweet thing” Aemond grunts. He cared about your pleasure so his hips perfectly angled to hit your G-spot. His hand slid down where your bodies were connected, his fingers began to rub your sensitive clit. You were falling apart for him, the only man who was allowed to see you vulnerable.
“Come for me, riñītsos. I will breed you properly, but first, your precious cunt needs to come for me one more time,” he whispers and you melt underneath him. The tension snaps and you moan loudly his name, your walls clenching around him as you come on his cock. “How I love this little cunt,” Aemond groans, increasing the pace of his thrusts. “It's so comfy and warm. Perfect house for my offspring. You feel like heaven,” Aemond stares deeply into your eyes, his thrusts growing sloppy, his cock twitching. His breath grew heavier, his eye locked on yours, he didn't wish to look away. It felt intimate like your souls were connected. For one last time, Aemond pushed his cock deep inside you before he filled up your pussy. “Good job, it's so deep your womb will have no choice but to take it. I'm so proud, my beautiful,” he planted a kiss on your forehead.
“Yes, we will- oh gods,” your head was empty. Aemond taught you what pleasure is. You couldn't get enough of him.
“I love you,” you finally said those words. Aemond’s eye widened. You caressed his scar gently and Aemond closed his eye, savoring the feeling of your soft touch. You didn't expect him to say it back, not yet. Aemond stayed inside you longer than usual, he leaned closer to your ear.
“It will never be you. You will never be her, no matter what happens. When I look at you all I think about is Rhaenys. You will never be Rhaenys. he whispered, slowly pulling out. You bit your lip trying so hard to hold your tears back. It will always be her. It's always an angel and never a god. It's always Rhaenys, never you. Aemond put his clothes back on without looking at you and turned to leave. You didn't know what to do, you never chased after a man but it was something different with him. You felt a genuine connection.
“Aemond!” You wanted to run after him, but he didn't even turn back. He left like everything that happened meant nothing to him. Maybe it truly did mean nothing. You should have known better. You opened your heart just to get it broken. You opened your heart even though you shouldn't have.
 Little did Aemond know that it was you in the secret meetings with him, not Rhaenys. It was you who charmed him. But why did he use the nickname he used to call “Rhaenys” at the secret meetings? Just how much of a coincidence was that?
“Is that a kid?” - Sick
Katie woke to someone tugging on her arm and completely woke up when she saw you leaning against the bed.
"What's wrong sweetheart?" Katie spoke quietly as she saw your tears, getting out of bed to pick you up.
"Shit" Katie mumbled feeling your hot skin as you placed you head into the crock of her neck.
"Let's go find something to make you feel better, sweetheart" Katie whispered, sparing a quick glance to make sure Caitlin was still asleep as she carried you out of the room and towards the kitchen, setting you on the counter.
You whined when Katie stepped away, "I'm just getting you some water" she said as she filled a sippy cup up with water for you. Handing it to you as you took a couple of slows sips at Katie encouragements.
"What are you guys doing up?" Caitlin asked with a yawn as she walked into kitchen, instantly feeling worried as she saw your red and tear stain cheeks.
"Do we have children medicine?" Katie asked looking over Caitlin.
"We should. Katrina had us buy the whole store saying we would need it at some point" Caitlin said as walked over to you, kissing your forehead gently as you now cuddled into her as Katie pulled out the medicine.
"Have you taken her temperature?" Caitlin asked as Katie handed her the thermometer.
"Hey darling, feeling yucky?" Caitlin asked causing you to nod into her chest.
"Is it your tummy?" She continued as you slowly shook you head no
"Can you point it out?" Caitlin tried, hoping to figure out what doesn't feel well to give you the right medicine.
You slowly pulled back, pointing to your head and throat.
"Can you let me take your temperature? Then we can get you something to help make you feel better" as you allowed her to put the thermometer in your mouth.
"39.3" Caitlin said, sharing a worried look with Katie who bite her lip debating if they should take you to the emergency room.
"Medicine and warm bath. Then we will check her temperature in a few hours" Katie said walking over with medicine to give you.
"Here, drink up. It will taste like grapes. Isn't that yummy?" Katie said holding medicine out to you as you looked back hesitant before taking it. Instantly pulling a disgusted face as you looked at the older women who were hiding their smiles at your face.
"See, not so bad" Katie said.
"Let go get you in the bath" Caitlin said picking up and heading to the bathroom.
Katie quickly turned on the water and helped Caitlin undress you as you gripped on to both of them shaking your head no.
You shook you head no again as more tears fell, gripping Caitlin harder.
"Sweetheart, I promise it will make you feel better" Katie tried as she looked at Caitlin who looked just as helpless as you gripped her shirt tightly in your little hands.
"I've got an idea" Katie said taking you from Caitlin arms as she looked at her confused, you quickly gripping Katie's shirt in hopes not being put into the bathtub.
"Getting in with her" Katie stated as held your crying body in her arms and slowly sat down in the water with you. You slowly calming down and relaxing against Katie who was smiling up at Caitlin who looked relived to see you not crying.
"See, this isn't to bad" Katie said after a few minutes as you were fighting to keep your eyes open
"Looks like she is falling asleep" Caitlin said fondly as she grabbed a towel for you and Katie
"I've got her" Caitlin said wrapping you in a towel as Katie held you up. You instantly cuddling into Caitlin as she walked you into your room and set you on your bed
"Let get you changed, darling" Caitlin said grabbing on of your shirts, only for you to tug on her shirt
"What's wrong?" Caitlin asked as you refused to put on your shirt, looking close to tears again
You whined pitifully as you tugged on her shirt again, "okay, you can have my shirt" Caitlin said as she took off her shirt and put it on you. Leaving a kiss to your forehead before your leaning back into her, wrapping your arms around her neck
"Let's go lay down" Caitlin said picking you up and carrying you back to her and Katie's bed, seeing Katie already changed.
Caitlin gently laid you on Kate's chest as she went to find a new shirt.
"We've got you" Katie said kiss your head as you lad on her chest, as she gently ran her hand through your hair. You instantly gripping a piece of Caitlin new shirt as she laid next you
"I'm right here" Caitlin said gently holding your hand that held her new shirt. Both women watching as your eyes closed and your breathing evened out
"Looks like someone is clingy when their sick" Katie whispered.
"Just like someone else I know" Caitlin whispered with a smirk as she leant over and placed a kiss on Katie lips who only smiled back.
You open your eyes slightly, squinting them. Joel sleeps peacefully next to you, his breaths even and steady. Burrowing yourself further under the blankets, you scoot closer to him, your head on his chest and intertwining your legs with his. You run your fingers through the curls of his now, fully gray hair.
Slight whines start to fill the room, and you lift your head up and glance over your shoulder to peek into the bassinet next to your side of the bed. Joel had been up with the baby all night after you two had finished wrapping up the gifts for the other kids. So, you groggily sit up in bed, reaching over to pick up the tiny little infant.
“Shhh, It’s alright, little one.” You whisper quietly, trying to calm him. After a few attempts to shush him, it’s still not working. He’s probably hungry, you figure. Lifting your shirt, you help him latch onto your breast, and he finally calms. You sigh quietly with relief. It’s all a part of the process, you try to remind yourself. Little baby Joelseph had only been born a few weeks ago. No, his name isn’t actually Joelseph. Simply a nickname given to him by his many older sisters when you had been pregnant with him. It started as a cute joke, but sure enough he came into the world, and no one was able to call him by his proper name. Named after his father, but considering the chaos of your family, the nickname is simply just another thing that you don’t bother to fight to keep the peace in the house.
The early hours of the morning are usually the small period of time when the house is completely silent. Every other waking minute is filled with the sounds of the kids, either giggling, or fighting with each other over something. Though, silence isn’t always a good thing. You’ll never forget the time the kids got into the kitchen cupboards and practically wreaked havoc in the kitchen while you were outside tending to the sheep.
Sure enough, you hear the trampling of footsteps coming down the hallway. No matter how chaotic it may be, this is your favorite part of the day. Getting to start each day greeted by all of your beautiful children, reminding you of why you are so lucky. You softly graze your fingers over the baby’s hair.
“I think your sisters are here, little guy,” You chuckle softly. The doorknob jiggles a bit. Before all of your daughters begin to spill into your bedroom, all eleven of them. Yes, eleven. You and Joel had, admittedly, gotten out of control in that department.
You and Joel had met when he had returned to Jackson in the spring with Ellie in tow. It had been an immediate connection, quite literally. Hooking up one night in the bathroom of the Tipsy Bison, which is what led to your firstborn, Emilie. The pregnancy had come as a shock, but you and Joel were excited nonetheless.
A chorus of variations of “Mom,” or “Mommy,” begin to fill the room, and you try to shush the girls, reminding them of their little brother. “Ok, girls, I know that you’re excited to get downstairs to all of your gifts, but you’ve got to settle down a bit, alright?” You whisper gently. Finally, they all nod in understanding. The calm is short-lived, though. Jane and Jules, the cutest, but menacing pair of instigators, hop on to your bed, shaking Joel’s shoulder, trying to wake their father.
They were your fourth pregnancy, which was by far the most difficult one you had ever experienced. Constant discomfort, and sleepless nights from the relentless kicking and movement from them. It wasn’t the first time you had been pregnant with twins, but It had gone nothing like you had expected it to.
Joel, though typically a light sleeper, is particularly hard to wake after a night with no sleep, hence why you’d opted on letting him sleep in. The two of them, each on one side of him, lean in close to his face, leaving little room for personal space. “Daddy.” Jules says quietly, Jane keeping a close watch.
Joel peeks one eye open, a bit startled at first at the heavy breathing from the two girls so close to his face, but the confused expression on his face is quickly replaced by a tired grin. As soon as all the girls spot that their father has woken up, they all pile onto your bed, excitedly squealing and giggling. Luckily, little baby Joelseph had already been lulled into a deep sleep after he finished nursing. Even if he hadn’t, you're pretty sure the few short weeks he’s been in the world, he’s already used to the constant noise and chaos from his older sisters.
Joel sits up on the bed, leaning back against the headboard, and tries to wrap his arm as many of them as humanly possible.
“When can we open our presents, daddy?” Tiny little Aurora questions impatiently. This is the first year she’s been able to fully understand the concept of Christmas, and all the gift giving. So, understandably, she is ecstatic for all the festivities of the day. She crawls into his lap, after attempting to clamber over all of her sisters in the way. Joel scratches at the scruff of his beard, and lifts her into his lap.
“How about we all eat breakfast first, sweetheart, then you all can tear into your gifts.” He says lowly, his voice still laced with sleep. “Sound like a plan?” He asks. The girls all nod in agreement.
You slowly stand up from the bed, still cradling baby Joelseph in your arms. Walking towards the door, you gesture for the girls to do the same. They all climb off of the bed, and without fail, the house is once again filled with chaos. All eleven of them racing out of your bedroom, and down the staircase to the kitchen.
Joel meets you by the doorway, placing a gentle kiss on your lips.
“Well hello, sleepyhead.” You tease him. “Sleep well?”
“Just like usual, darling.” He kisses you again, this time placing kisses all over your face, and down your neck, before you place your hand gently on his chest stopping him from going any further.
“Not so fast, old man.” you chuckle softly. “We don’t need another one of these.” you say, gesturing down to the baby bundled up in your arms.
“One more wouldn’t hurt, huh?” He teases, and you just shake your head.
“You say that because you aren’t the one who has to push them out.”
“We should probably get downstairs before they get into stuff that they shouldn’t be” You murmur, and Joel quietly nods in agreement.
The warmth of the morning sun filters through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the room as you make your way into the dining room. Joel follows you, his hand brushing against the small of your back.
You and Joel enter the dining room, and expectedly the room is already filled with screaming and chaos. Alive with the energy of your daughters, and the two mischievous kittens, Ginny and Joel, weaving in and out of the chaos.
Emilie, your oldest, is trying to settle an argument between Lacy and Lily, your first set of twins. Nothing new in your household, nearly every morning, no matter how many times you have to tell them that every seat is the same, the kids insist on fighting on who sits where, who sits next to whom. It’s exhausting, but you can’t help but smile at the chaos unfolding before you-it’s simply the routine of your everyday life.
Emilie, with her stern expression, finally manages to resolve the seating dispute between Lacy and Lily. You glance at Joel, and he chuckles, a knowing look passing between you. The girls quickly settle into their chairs, the anticipation of Christmas morning evident in their sparkling eyes. As you take your seat at the head of the table, Joel sits beside you, and the cacophony gradually subsides. Little Aurora, perched on Joel’s lap, swings her legs excitedly, eager to dive into the festivities.
“Alright, everyone, let’s dig in!” you announce with a smile, and the room erupts in cheers. The aroma of the freshly cooked breakfast wafts through the air as the kids eagerly serve themselves.
Emilie diligently helps the younger ones with their breakfast. She occasionally steals glances at the pile of gifts under the Christmas tree, anticipation gleaming in her eyes.
Lacy and Lily are engaged in animated conversation, their excitement palpable. Daisy can’t stop giggling at something Theo whispered in her ear. The second set of twins, Jane and Jules, sit side by side, already plotting mischief as they eye the presents.
Willow, with her big curious eyes, is inspecting her plate with utmost concentration, trying to decide which part of her breakfast to tackle first.
In the midst of the laughter and chatter, you catch Joel’s eye. There’s a shared understanding between you, a silent acknowledgement of the beautiful chaos that is your family. His gaze is filled with gratitude, and you can’t help but feel the same.
As the kids enjoy their breakfast, you steal a moment with Joel. “Can you believe how fast they're growing?” you murmur, your eyes dancing with a mixture of love and exhaustion.
Joel leans in, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead. “Feels like just yesterday we were sneaking around the Tipsy Bison.”
You laugh, the memory of that fateful night vivid in your mind. “Look where it led us.”
Kylie babbles incoherently as she attempts to mimic her older siblings. Aurora still sits on Joel’s lap, her eyes wide with wonder as she takes in the festive scene, and Joel aids her with her breakfast.
Maggie sits contentedly in her high chair, fingers sticky with syrup, as she munches on a piece of a pancake you’ve carefully cut up into small pieces for her.
The kids, fueled by excitement and sugar, chatter animatedly about their plans for the day. You and Joel exchange glances, both silently reveling in the joy of parenthood. The journey hasn’t been easy, but moments like these make it all worthwhile.
As breakfast winds down, you glance at Joel, both of you silently agreeing it’s time for the much-anticipated event of the morning.
The living room is now adorned with brightly wrapped gifts, a colorful display of the love and thoughtfulness you and Joel put into each one. The kids finish their breakfast, their eyes darting eagerly between the tree and the presents.
“Alright, kiddos, let the unwrapping begin!” Joel declares, and the room explodes with excitement. Each of their little faces lighting up with joy.
“Okay, kiddos, let’s see what Santa brought us this year!” Joel exclaims, and the room erupts in cheers. The kids, now fueled by excitement from their furry friends and a hearty breakfast, rush to the tree, each claiming a spot around the mountain of gifts.
Emily takes charge, distributing gifts to each of her siblings with precision. Paper tears and laughter fill the air as each child discovers the treasures hidden beneath the wrapping.
Lacy and Lily eagerly tear into their presents, sharing excited glances when they unveil matching toys. Daisy clutches a doll close to her heart, and Jane and Jules giggle in delight at the surprise in their packages.
Theo, wide-eyed, unwraps a superhero action figure, and Willow discovers a fluffy stuffed animal that instantly becomes her new best friend. Kylie is overjoyed with a set of building blocks, her imagination already running wild.
Aurora claps her hands in glee as she unwraps a musical toy, and Maggie, though more interested in the wrapping paper than the actual gifts, coos happily.
Daisy twirls with a new dress, her face glowing with delight. “I’m going to wear this everyday!”
Aurora, surrounded by a pile of toys, claps her hands and points excitedly. “Look, Daddy, Mommy, so many toys!” Maggie, with a new plush toy in her tiny hands, giggles with joy. The room is filled with laughter and chatter as the kids excitedly showcase their new treasures.
Jane and Jules squeal in delight as they discover Joel curled up in the tangle of discarded wrapping paper, looking thoroughly pleased with himself. Willow, with her big curious eyes, watches the kittens in fascination, occasionally reaching out to stroke their fur. Kylie bursts into giggles as Ginny playfully bats at a shiny ribbon. Aurora claps her hands in delight at the sight of the playful duo. Maggie points with chubby fingers, her face lighting up with a smile as Joel gracefully leaps onto the back of the couch.
Joel catches your eye, and you share a moment of warmth as you witness the joy on your children’s faces.
“Looks like our little fur balls are the stars of the show today.” He chuckles.
Watching as the kittens continue their playful antics. The room is filled with laughter, shouts of excitement, and the crinkling of wrapping paper.
As the chaos subsides, you lean into Joel, watching the kids with a contented smile. “Merry Christmas, Joel.” He whispers back the same sentiment, wrapping his arm around you, anchoring you in the midst of the joyful storm that is your family.
The room buzzes with the joyous laughter of your children, the kittens weaving throughout the living room. As the kids continue to show off their presents, Ginny and Joel curiously inspect the colorful array of toys and trinkets scattered across the room.
Emilie, your eldest, sits by your side, flipping through her new sketchbook. “Mom, look at this! It’s perfect for my drawings. Thank you, Santa!”
Lacy and Lily, wearing their matching necklaces, approach Joel with enthusiasm. “Dad, Dad! Can Joel play with us too?” they ask, extending an invitation for the adventurous kitten to join in on their imaginative play.
Daisy twirls around in her new dress, and with a dramatic flair, she curtsies. “I’m a princess, just like in the stories!”
Jane and Jules, holding their new board game, insist on a family game night. Jules, gives you a confused look, glancing from the box, and then back up at you. “What is Boggle anyway?”
“It’s just a word game, sweetheart, definitely an easy game to beat your dad at.” you laugh softly, shooting Joel a teasing grin.
Willow proudly shows you the fluffy stuffed animal she received. “Look Mom, It’s Fluffy! Daddy, feel how soft!” She grabs his hand to place it on the stuffed animal, and Joel enthusiastically plays along with her.
Kylie, engrossed in building her tower with the new blocks, beams with accomplishment. “It’s bigger than me, Mommy!” You smile at her gently, and give her compliments on her tower building skills.
Maggie, in her own little world, squeezes her plush toy and gurgles happily. The kittens, sensing the playful atmosphere, join in on the fun, batting at the discarded ribbons and chasing each other around the room.
Joel, still basking in the warmth of the family scene, leans over to you. “Seems like Santa knew exactly what they wanted.”
You nod, a content smile playing on your lips, ‘And the best part is seeing their faces light up with joy.”
The room is filled with laughter, the sound of wrapping paper being crinkled, and the occasional meow from Ginny and Joel. The chaos is harmonious, a melody of love and togetherness that defines your family.
The kids, their excitement undeterred, start brainstorming plans for the day–games to play, stories to tell, and perhaps a snowball fight if the weather permits. As the festivities continue, you can’t help but feel grateful for the love and warmth that fills your home–a treasure more precious than any gift under the tree.
As the kids reveled in the excitement of unwrapping their Christmas gifts, their attention turned to the chalkboard on the mantle–a poignant memorial to their older sister, Sarah. The room hushed momentarily as the children exchanged thoughtful glances, understanding the significance of the chalkboard.
The kids had put together some artwork and drawings the night before. They gather around the chalkboard, placing their artwork in front of it, creating a beautiful display of love and remembrance. The room, now adorned with their heartfelt tributes, felt infused with a sense of warmth and connection to Sarah’s memory.
Joel, watching from a distance, can't help but be moved by the sincerity and creativity of his children. The simple act of setting their drawings in front of the chalkboard transformed the mantle into a gallery of love—a tangible expression of the enduring impact Sarah's memory had on their hearts.
As the morning continued, the drawings stood as cherished tokens—a beautiful reminder that, even in the midst of joyous celebrations, the love for their sister would always hold a special place in the family's heart.
You nudge Joel gently, catching his attention. “Any Idea when Ellie, Dina, and JJ are planning to arrive?”
Joel looks thoughtful for a moment, his eyes scanning the room to make sure all the kids are engaged in their newfound treasures. “They’re aiming to get here just in time for lunch. Should be any moment now.”
Excitement lights up on your face at the news. “The kids are going to be over the moon to see them again, and It wouldn’t be Christmas without them.”
Joel nods in agreement, a fond smile playing on his lips. “Ellie’s always been good at timing. They’ll be here soon.”
As if on cue, a gentle knock at the door catches your attention. You glance at Joel, both of you sharing a knowing smile. The anticipation in the room heightens as the kids, sensing something special, look toward the door with wide eyes. Moments later, the front door bursts open, and the lively chatter of Ellie and Dina fills the air. The children squeal in delight, dropping their toys and rushing toward the doorway. Ellie enters first, holding JJ’s hand, Dina follows closely behind with a warm grin on her face.
The kids shout at them in unison, enveloping the new arrivals in a sea of hugs and excitement. You and Joel stand back, watching the heartwarming reunion unfold.
Ellie, catching your eye, gives you a knowing nod. “Merry Christmas!” she says as she greets you and Joel. You welcome them with open arms, a surge of joy filling your heart. “We’re so glad you’re here.”
As the laughter and joyful chaos continue to fill the room, you can’t help but marvel at the beautiful tapestry of your family, woven together by love, shared moments, and the bonds that withstand the test of time.
Amidst the joyful commotion, you navigate through the sea of excited children, still cradling little Joelseph in your arms. Joel joins you, and together you watch as Ellie, Dina, and JJ immerse themselves in the holiday cheer.
Ellie, after receiving an enthusiastic welcome from the kids, approaches you with a playful grin.
“How’s the newest little troublemaker doing?” she asks, casting an affectionate glance at Joelseph.
You chuckle, gently rocking the sleeping baby in your arms. “He’s been an angel all morning, surprisingly.” you yawn, tiredly.
Dina joins the conversation, “He’s gotten so big since we last saw him. Mind if we steal him for a bit?”
You nod with a smile, carefully passing Joelseph over to Dina. The little one stirs for a moment, but settles back into a peaceful slumber in Dina’s arms. “He’s all yours.’
The room continues to buzz with giggles and Ellie, Dina, and JJ become a seamless part of the festivities. The kids eagerly show them their new toys, and soon, the kittens, Ginny and Joel join the playful parade.
As the day unfolds, the house becomes a vibrant canvas, painted with the hues of love and togetherness. Joel, now with Aurora on his shoulders, navigates through the lively crowd. You find a quiet moment with Ellie, who is holding Joelseph with a tender smile.
“He’s adorable,” Ellie remarks, her eyes filled with a mix of nostalgia and affection. “Feels like just yesterday you were dealing with my teenage antics.”
You laugh, remembering those not-so-distant days. “Time flies, doesn’t it? Now look at us, and you, with a little family of your own.”
Ellie glances around the room, the sparkle of the holiday lights reflecting in her eyes. “Couldn’t ask for a better way to spend Christmas. And look at Joel, still being the heart and soul of this chaos.”
You follow her gaze to Joel, who is now surrounded by a group of kids, listening intently to one of Jane and Jules’ stories. The love in his eyes is evident as he shares in their laughter and mischief.
Ellie looks back at you, a soft smile playing on her lips. “You both did an amazing job. I’m proud to be part of this.”
And in that moment, as the laughter and warmth of your family envelop you, you couldn’t agree more. This Christmas, with all its magic, has woven another chapter into the rich tapestry of your lives–a chapter filled with love, laughter, and the cherished moments that make your family truly extraordinary.
As the festivities continue, Ellie, still cradling Joelseph, couldn’t resist the opportunity to tease Joel. With a mischievous twinkle in her eye, she approaches Joel, who’s now attempting to disentangle himself from a knot of kids.
“Hey, old man,” Ellie quips, giving Joel a playful nudge. “You holding up okay with all these little rascals running around?”
Joel chuckles, a playful glint in his eyes. “Someone’s gotta keep ‘em in check. You’ll find out soon enough, Ellie. Parenthood’s no joke.”
Ellie raises an eyebrow, her gaze shifting to Joelseph. “You’re the expert now, huh? It took you guys long enough to figure out the secret recipe for a baby boy.”
Joel grumbles and feigns offense. “Well, it’s not like we had a manual.”
Ellie rolls her eyes. “Says the guy who needed a football team's worth of daughters before finally getting a son.”
You join in on the banter, giving Joel an amused smile. “Took a bit of trial and error, but look at our charming little Joelseph now.”
Ellie leans in, bouncing the baby gently in her arms. “Not bad for an old guy, huh, kiddo?” she cooed, earning a content gurgle from the baby.
As the day of joyful chaos begin to wind down, the once lively house now settles into a more serene atmosphere. The twinkling lights of the Christmas tree cast a gentle glow over the living room as the laughter of the children gradually transforms into quiet giggles and yawns.
You and Joel, tired but content, herd the kids upstairs for their bedtime routine. The kittens, Ginny and Joel, follow along, their playful antics slowing down as they, too, sensing the impending calm.
“Alright kiddos, time for bed.” Joel announces, his tone gentle but firm as he ushers the kids into their respective rooms.
The procession of bedtime rituals unfold–one by one, teeth are brushed, pajamas are put on, and stories are read. The younger ones nestle into their beds, eyelids growing heavy with the sweet fatigue of a day filled with excitement.
As you check on each child, offering goodnight kisses and tucking them in, Joel moves gracefully through the house, turning off the twinkling lights and closing curtains. The house seems to exhale, the echoes of joyous laughter replaced by the hushed whispers of bedtime.
In the quiet moments between putting the kids to bed, you found Joel in the hallway, sharing a look of satisfaction passing between you. The day had been a whirlwind of love and joy, and now the peaceful hush settles over the house like a comforting blanket.
“Another Christmas for the books,” Joel remarks, his voice low.
You nod, a smile playing on your lips. “And many more to come, I hope.”
The two of you continue the nightly routine, gently closing doors and ensuring the house was ready for the calm of night. The soft glow of the light spilling from your bedroom illuminates your path as you and Joel make your way into the room, where little Joelseph lay sleeping in his bassinet.
Joel pauses by the doorway, his eyes fondly watching the baby. “He’s been the best gift, hasn’t he?”
You nod, a warmth settling in your heart. “The best, indeed.”
The day had been a symphony of chaos and joy, a beautiful crescendo that had now found its resolution in the quietude of the evening. As you and Joel retire to your room, you can’t help but reflect on the blessings of family, love, and the precious moments that make Christmas truly magical.
brothers' conflict III - rafe cameron
Tumblr media
summary: you feel anxious around people you dont know, but it's fine, because rafe is always at your side.
warnings: none, social anxiety
(part 1)(part 2) can be read separately!!
"oh, hi." you waved timidly as you walked in the living room, fingers playing with the string of your sweater.
your eyes roamed around the room until you found a familiar face and let out a sigh of relief. no one was actually paying attention to your presence, so you retreated to the kitchen. you forgot your lunch box and left your wallet on the bed this morning as you were rushing to your morning class.
you kneeled down to see what was left in the fridge. a few tomatoes, a tin can of coke and a rotten sandwich. yes, you needed to go to the grocery store but your stomach was rumbling from hunger, so whatever was left was enough.
a hand pressing on your shoulder made you jump and hit your head against the fridge door.
"ouch." you moaned in pain.
rafe cursed under his breath "shit, im so sorry, sweetheart." you had not heard him follow you as he seemed very engrossed in that football match.
"it's fine." you mumbled, letting him check on your head. you hissed when he touched a sore spot. it would probably swell.
he led you back to the sofa, where his friends were ogling with curiosity at the scene that unfolded before them. "come here." rafe guided you to his seat, never letting go of your hand, even after he placed you on his lap.
you were feeling overwhelmed. hands sweaty and fidgeting. you only recognized some of them, they played in the same team as rafe but the rest of them were strangers to you. rafe sensed your distress and cleared his throat, making them look away.
some of them introduced themselves to you but all you could do was give them a small smile, encouraged by rafe's back rubs. you could feel your head start spinning. what should i say? am i being weird? i should stop biting my nails. oh, im being weird again. rafe seemed to read your thoughts and pulled you closer to his chest "hey, you're okay. none of that." he whispered in your ear so that only you could hear him. then he kissed you tenderly on the forehead.
"she can be a little shy, but isn't she lovely?" rafe muttered, still looking at you. it was not a question, he wanted his friends to look at his pretty girl.
you blushed and lowered your gaze. since you were children, rafe and zach had taken the duty to speak up for you when you were feeling anxious. if you wanted more biscuits but were afraid to ask, rafe would make his mom pack some to let you take it home. they've never made you feel like a burden. rafe and zach were happy to take care of you, in fact they were quite proud that you trusted them.
you looked at the snacks on the table in front of you and licked your lips. rafe, who had not taken his eyes off of you, reached down to grab a brownie for you. they were from your favorite bakery. could it be that rafe went down town to buy them just for you? it couldn't be right?
"cmon, baby. have some. they're still warm." he brought it to your mouth and you took a small bite. it tasted heavenly. you offered some to rafe but he was content to see you eat with gusto.
rafe's teammates were stunned. they've never seen their captain so at ease. they're so used to see him frowning or telling people to fuck off that this looked like a total different person.
"the fact you're looking at." rafe shot them a look, annoyed that his friends hadn't left his house yet.
you were too immersed in your little treat to notice rafe pointing at the main door and them slowly picking up their things.
"you want more?" rafe asked you, rubbing your head.
you nodded eagerly "yes, please.", making rafe's heart swell with affection.
Why we don’t like it when children hit us back
To all the children who have ever been told to “respect” someone that hated them.
March 21, 2023
Even those of us that are disturbed by the thought of how widespread corporal punishment still is in all ranks of society are uncomfortable at the idea of a child defending themself using violence against their oppressors and abusers. A child who hits back proves that the adults “were right all along,” that their violence was justified. Even as they would cheer an adult victim for defending themself fiercely.
Even those “child rights advocates” imagine the right child victim as one who takes it without ever stopping to love “its” owners. Tear-stained and afraid, the child is too innocent to be hit in a guilt-free manner. No one likes to imagine the Brat as Victim—the child who does, according to adultist logic, deserve being hit, because they follow their desires, because they walk the world with their head high, because they talk back, because they are loud, because they are unapologetically here, and resistant to being cast in the role of guest of a world that is just not made for them.
If we are against corporal punishment, the brat is our gotcha, the proof that it is actually not that much of an injustice. The brat unsettles us, so much that the “bad seed” is a stock character in horror, a genre that is much permeated by the adult gaze (defined as “the way children are viewed, represented and portrayed by adults; and finally society’s conception of children and the way this is perpetuated within institutions, and inherent in all interactions with children”), where the adult fear for the subversion of the structures that keep children under control is very much represented.
It might be very well true that the Brat has something unnatural and sinister about them in this world, as they are at constant war with everything that has ever been created, since everything that has been created has been built with the purpose of subjugating them. This is why it feels unnatural to watch a child hitting back instead of cowering. We feel like it’s not right. We feel like history is staring back at us, and all the horror we felt at any rebel and wayward child who has ever lived, we are feeling right now for that reject of the construct of “childhood innocence.” The child who hits back is at such clash with our construction of childhood because we defined violence in all of its forms as the province of the adult, especially the adult in authority.
The adult has an explicit sanction by the state to do violence to the child, while the child has both a social and legal prohibition to even think of defending themself with their fists. Legislation such as “parent-child tort immunity” makes this clear. The adult’s designed place is as the one who hits, and has a right and even an encouragement to do so, the one who acts, as the person. The child’s designed place is as the one who gets hit, and has an obligation to accept that, as the one who suffers acts, as the object. When a child forcibly breaks out of their place, they are reversing the supposed “natural order” in a radical way.
This is why, for the youth liberationist, there should be nothing more beautiful to witness that the child who snaps. We have an unique horror for parricide, and a terrible indifference at the 450 children murdered every year by their parents in just the USA, without even mentioning all the indirect suicides caused by parental abuse. As a Psychology Today article about so-called “parricide” puts it:
Unlike adults who kill their parents, teenagers become parricide offenders when conditions in the home are intolerable but their alternatives are limited. Unlike adults, kids cannot simply leave. The law has made it a crime for young people to run away. Juveniles who commit parricide usually do consider running away, but many do not know any place where they can seek refuge. Those who do run are generally picked up and returned home, or go back on their own: Surviving on the streets is hardly a realistic alternative for youths with meager financial resources, limited education, and few skills.
By far, the severely abused child is the most frequently encountered type of offender. According to Paul Mones, a Los Angeles attorney who specializes in defending adolescent parricide offenders, more than 90 percent have been abused by their parents. In-depth portraits of such youths have frequently shown that they killed because they could no longer tolerate conditions at home. These children were psychologically abused by one or both parents and often suffered physical, sexual, and verbal abuse as well—and witnessed it given to others in the household. They did not typically have histories of severe mental illness or of serious and extensive delinquent behavior. They were not criminally sophisticated. For them, the killings represented an act of desperation—the only way out of a family situation they could no longer endure.
- Heide, Why Kids Kill Parents, 1992.
Despite these being the most frequent conditions of “parricide,” it still brings unique disgust to think about it for most people. The sympathy extended to murdering parents is never extended even to the most desperate child, who chose to kill to not be killed. They chose to stop enduring silently, and that was their greatest crime; that is the crime of the child who hits back. Hell, children aren’t even supposed to talk back. They are not supposed to be anything but grateful for the miserable pieces of space that adults carve out in a world hostile to children for them to live following adult rules. It isn’t rare for children to notice the adult monopoly on violence and force when they interact with figures like teachers, and the way they use words like “respect.” In fact, this social dynamic has been noticed quite often:
Sometimes people use “respect” to mean “treating someone like a person” and sometimes they use “respect” to mean “treating someone like an authority” and sometimes people who are used to being treated like an authority say “if you won’t respect me I won’t respect you” and they mean “if you won’t treat me like an authority I won’t treat you like a person” and they think they’re being fair but they aren’t, and it’s not okay.
(https://soycrates.tumblr.com/post/115633137923/stimmyabby-sometimes-people-use-respect-to-mean)
But it has received almost no condemnation in the public eye. No voices have raised to contrast the adult monopoly on violence towards child bodies and child minds. No voices have raised to praise the child who hits back. Because they do deserve praise. Because the child who sets their foot down and says this belongs to me, even when it’s something like their own body that they are claiming, is committing one of the most serious crimes against adult society, who wants them dispossessed.
The antique jack-in-the-box was certainly an odd find at a garage sale, but there was no denying that it caught your eye the moment you saw it. It was incredibly ornate, clearly hand painted in all black and white and decorated with balloons and candy, not to mention it was preserved wonderfully for a piece that had, presumably, been stored in an attic for who knows how long. You could run your fingers over the edges and feel every detail of the tediously carved borders. You carefully turned the wooden box over in your hands, looking over the large, carefully painted words on the front:
“Laughing Jack In The Box!”, surrounded by all sorts of patterns and shapes.
Your face immediately lit up. Everything about this box screamed one of a kind. You could already see it sitting on your collectors shelf, safe behind the glass for you to keep and observe. You absolutely had to have it.
“Excuse me miss?” You called, looking around for the old woman who was running the garage sale. She got up from her lawn chair and made her way over about as fast as you’d expect from one as antique as some of the items currently being sold.
“Could you tell me about this jack-in-the-box?” You asked, trying to hide your elation.
“Oh, this old thing…” She began, looking at you over her comically oversized glasses. “It belonged to my great, great grandfather, Isaac, and was handmade by his father. It was given to me as a young girl, and I was keeping it in the hopes I could pass it on to my own children.”
You couldn’t help but feel a twinge of sadness at the comment, but it seems the woman had no qualms about selling it.
“Well, it may please you to know that I’m an antique collector,” You explained in an effort to reassure her. “This is a beautiful piece. If you’ll sell it to me, I can promise you it’ll be safe on my shelf.”
“Oh, I have no worries about that. No one would pick this old thing up unless they knew what they were buying. So, what’s your offer young man?”
You thought for a few moments, weighing the box in your hands. You didn’t want to completely rip her off, but a one of a kind antique like this could go for thousands in the right place, and you weren’t looking to break the bank for this thing. Besides, who else would possibly buy it if you didn’t?
You pulled your wallet out and flipped through it, debating with yourself.
“How about…a clean fifty?”
And with that, a deal was made. Before you knew it you were proudly walking back to your car with the box tucked under your arm. You placed it carefully in the front passenger seat where you could watch over it, glancing back one last time to the now empty place on the table where the box once sat before driving away.
Immediately upon getting home you rushed to your room and swung open your shelf, eyes scanning over every row as you tried to find the best place for your newest treasure. It took a bit of rearranging to keep the shelf organized to your liking, but eventually you were able to place the box neatly right in the middle. You carefully closed the glass door and took a few steps back to admire your work. It was absolute perfection, and you couldn’t stop yourself from happily clapping your hands together. You deserved to applaud yourself a bit, after all.
You flopped down on your bed and grabbed your phone, eager to share your find with anyone who would listen, giddy with excitement. You really couldn’t believe how lucky you were! No one else would ever lay hands on a jack-in-the-box like this one, and now it was all yours.
As the hours of the afternoon dissolved into the night, you found yourself peeking into your room just about every time you walked past. You smiled wide whenever you saw the pristine box sitting on your shelf. It was especially beautiful when the sun hit it just right and made it shine. Your chest was still swelling with pride even as you climbed into bed for the night, able to peacefully fall asleep knowing that you’d filled another spot on your shelf today.
Unbeknownst to you, you had just given up the privilege of peaceful sleep.
That night you had one of the worst, most vivid nightmares you could remember.
You were standing in your room late at night, and everything seemed deathly silent, as if all the birds and insects that would normally be chirping outside had up and died off. A shiver ran down your spine as you looked around in confusion. You tried to turn on your lamp, but it wouldn’t come on. Trying the light switch yielded the same distressing result. You moved to open the door, but the moment you reached out for the knob it disappeared as if it had never been there in the first place. When you turned back, your bedroom window was gone too. Both of your escape routes had dissolved into thin air without so much as a sound.
The hair on the back of your neck stood up as your eyes slowly wandered to the jack-in-the-box. It was the only object left on your now open collectors shelf, but it seemed to take up so much more space than before. It had captured your gaze in an iron grip, and no matter how hard you tried you couldn’t look away. A terrible feeling began to bubble in the pit of your stomach, becoming heavier and heavier until you felt as though you may collapse from the weight, but nothing was happening. Something about the box itself felt so…malicious, so threatening, but it was simply sitting dormant on your shelf.
What were you so scared of?
That was the question replaying in your mind when you woke with a start, nearly falling out of your bed in your disoriented state. You shot straight up as you fought to catch your breath, taking a look around just to make sure your window and door were still there. Fortunately, they were. It really was just a nightmare.
A wave of relief washed over you as you slowly laid back down. You took an extra minute to catch your breath, silently scolding yourself for being so easily scared. You turned your head to look out the window, now noticing the very first little shreds of the dawn coming up over the horizon.
However, you noticed something else as well. Something that set off just a bit of unease in you.
The glass door of your shelf was open.
Not wide open, or broken, just slightly cracked as if it hadn’t been closed all the way and was now just barely ajar. You could’ve sworn you shut it all the way, you could even remember hearing the little click.
But we all make mistakes, don’t we?
That seemed enough of an explanation to calm you as you slipped out of bed to close the shelf once more. This time you double checked, just to be sure. When you were satisfied you went back to bed, finding sleep rather easily and this time without incident.
When you awoke some hours later you couldn’t help but question which parts of the night were a dream and which were reality. The memories of when you had woken up the first time were hazy, not to mention you were still shaken up from the nightmare. You tried to push it out of your mind, though, when you found your shelf securely closed and seemingly untouched. That was really all that mattered.
It seems you had the green light to go about your day as usual.
First thing’s first: you need to change out of your nightclothes. The stained band tee and baggy sweats would not cut it for running errands. You decided on something that would be comfortable for the day, but still made you feel confident and happy with yourself.
As you undressed you couldn’t help but take a moment to appreciate yourself in the mirror, standing there in just your boxer briefs. You ran a hand over your sides, turning around halfway as you admired your own figure. It was a silly habit to have, really, but what was it hurting? After all, you were one handsome man. You deserved to be seen.
You weren’t the only one who thought this, and you certainly weren’t the only one who enjoyed admiring you.
Completely hidden out of your view, just how he liked, two achromatic pinwheel eyes spun manically behind the shadows of the jack-in-the-box. He only had to lift the box just slightly, so little that you would never notice, and even if you did you would likely brush it off as your imagination. Jack was skilled like that, able to slowly lure his victims into madness in such a way that they wouldn’t notice until it was too late.
You, though, had caught his attention in a slightly different manner.
You had piqued his interest the moment you picked up his box, handling it with a curious yet careful manner. For generations he had been packed away in dusty attics and grimy basements and long forgotten storage units, completely disgraced by the family line that was supposed to cherish him. But you had plucked him from that miserable cycle, dusted him off, and placed him carefully on your shelf in a secure little spot where you could see each other every day.
This was certainly unusual behavior.
That ache of contempt that he felt for nearly everyone else somehow had yet to creep in. On some level, Jack was just as curious about you has you had been about him, and now he was safe behind the glass to keep and observe you as he saw fit. Human bodies in particular had always been an odd interest of his seeing as they looked so different from his own. Seeing you flaunt yours so proudly with no one else around was honestly a bit amusing.
He watched silently as you slipped on your day clothes, turning around a couple more times in the mirror and adjusting your outfit a bit before finally deciding you were happy. He didn’t slip back down into his box until he heard your car pulling out of the driveway.
He sat there with himself for some few hours while you were gone. He had lost any sense of time at this point, used to spending his days alone in his box. Although, this time, there was one reoccurring theme that all his thoughts seemed to circle back to:
You.
What made exactly you so interesting, hm? He could venture a vague guess, but something was just…different. His affinity for humans had long since waned to nothing nearly two centuries ago, and yet a small part of it was beginning to stir in him once more.
It seemed this would require further observation, which was certainly no issue to him.
You, on the other hand, were blissfully unaware that you were currently sharing your humble abode. There were a few times when the events of the earlier night managed to worm its way back into your mind, but you always managed to push it away. You were simply being silly, that was all. It was a random occurrence with absolutely no significance.
Yeah, sure, that made enough sense.
By the time you were unlocking your front door, you had been lucky enough to truly forget about your nightmare. It seemed that you had finally calmed yourself and managed to stay grounded.
At least you had until you stepped through the door.
The second you had both feet in the doorway, the nightmare came rushing back in vivid flashes. It felt like your grocery bags were filled with cement, your limbs suddenly going weak. Your entire body had gone stiff, paralyzed with an indescribable sense of anxiety, the feeling that something was terribly, deeply wrong in your home.
You swept through the whole house and found not a single thing out of place, though every time you turned a corner you were sure you’d see something you didn’t want to.
No smashed in windows, no kicked in doors, nothing taken or broken, no other sign of an intruder. Nothing that would indicate anything out of the ordinary.
Then why was your stomach churning with the same heavy dread you’d felt in the nightmare?
You wracked your brain as you tried to figure out what could possibly be making you feel so uneasy in your own home, but nothing came to mind. Even as you put away your groceries you were mumbling and muttering to yourself, attempting to fetch any semblance of an explanation.
Nothing.
Absolutely nothing.
Jack was more than happy to watch you spin yourself into a tizzy over his little tricks. He giggled to himself when you paced back and forth where he could see you outside the doorway of your room, proud to see he hadn’t lost his mischievous touch.
You felt absolutely exhausted by the time you were trudging your way to your room, the subtle thrum of an oncoming headache already threatening to floor you for the rest of the day. You were so drained, in fact, that you had to do a double take to realize that your collector’s shelf had been completely opened.
Not just creaked open like last time, completely opened. If it had been pushed any farther, the hinges would’ve snapped.
You stared in disbelief, mouth hanging half open. You couldn’t even will yourself to move. It felt someone had just lit a match to the pile of questions that had been accumulating in the back of your mind. As if on autopilot, you walked over numbly and shut the glass door of the shelf. This time, you triple checked that it was shut.
Of course, this time you weren’t satisfied with that.
The first thing you did once you had thrown on sweats and laid down was go to order a lock for the shelf online. You even paid extra to make sure it would be delivered the next day. After all, the last thing you needed was one of your prized possessions falling out and breaking.
Yes, that was the very normal, rational reason why you needed a lock.
You sighed with exhaustion as you struggled to get comfortable in your bed, figuring maybe a nap would help you recharge a bit. By some miracle you actually managed to fall asleep, and by another you slept peacefully for a full hour uninterrupted.
Damn, you needed that. You actually felt better when you woke up, stretching and cracking your back a few times before getting up.
Suddenly your fearful reaction earlier seemed so silly! Why were you so upset anyways? Because of a bad dream and a dingy old shelf? How stupid. Really, you were lucky you lived alone. If anyone had seen you like that they’d think you were crazy, irrational, completely out of your—
The shelf is open again.
The fucking shelf is open again, and the box has moved an entire shelf down on its own.
The box has moved on its own.
You were suddenly feeling light headed.
You sat back down on your bed, your head already beginning to ache once more. You were dizzy, confused, struggling to find your bearings in reality. You held your head in your hands as you tried to take a breather. Part of you hoped that if you simply looked away then back up, maybe the problem would fix itself.
No such luck.
You groaned with frustration, practically stomping over to your shelf. You moved the box back to its original place in a quick and jumpy manner, as if it was burning hot and it would hurt to hold onto it for too long. This time you quadruple checked that it had been closed properly, and even threw a blanket over the shelf to cover it.
It wasn’t a fix, but it could at least give you some semblance of security.
“Stupid broken thing…” You muttered to yourself, speed walking out of your room to head to the kitchen where hopefully a snack could distract you.
Jack was giddy with excitement, unable to stop himself from snickering with smug self-satisfaction. It had been so long since he had someone to play with, and you were so fun to scare it almost felt too easy.
He would have to play his next cards perfectly, though, if he wanted to keep this up.
He didn’t mess with you at all the rest of the day, even when he really, really wanted to. You peaked into your room every time you walked by, breathing a sigh of relief when you saw the shelf was exactly as you’d left it every time.
Maybe, you thought for the umpteenth time, you really were just being irrational. You didn’t even have another nightmare that night, and when you awoke the shelf was still closed with the blanket untouched on top of it.
When the lock came in that day you wondered for a bit if you really needed it, but ultimately decided it was better to be over-prepared than under. You could finally remove the blanket cover on the shelf, feeling much better now that you could properly shut and lock it. You stored the key away in the drawer of your nightstand where you knew it would be safe.
For you, it seemed like everything was finally back to normal again.
For Jack, this was the perfect opportunity to increase his antics tenfold. He was becoming more and more impatient, wanting to badly to properly greet you, and with each scare he only felt himself grow stronger. He was feeding on your anguish, allowing it to fuel him until eventually he would be ready to come out and play.
For the next few weeks, Jack made you sure you found absolutely no peace. He was relentless and cruel, even by his standards. He broke your stupid little lock, and the two others you ordered after that. He couldn’t count the amount of times he’d made you shut the glass door to the shelf again. Whenever you tried to cover him with the blanket, he let you know he was particularly upset with you by not only swinging the shelf door wide open, but moving his box right to your bedside table. That way, he got to see your terror up close when you jolted awake, nearly tripping over yourself to get away when you saw the box a mere couple of feet from your face. He made the house creak and jump every time you got a moment of quiet. Hell, he was petty enough to mess with the thermostat when you were out, meaning you got to return home to a freezing cold or blistering heat that was surely running up your bill. Speaking of running up your bills, it wasn’t unusual for Jack to leave the water running either.
The thing that got to you the most, though, was the incessant nightmares.
God, they never stopped.
They were almost all the same:
You’d be trapped somewhere familiar, like your room or a store you’d been at that day. You’d be completely alone and no lights would work, and when you tried to leave all the doors and windows would disappear. And every time, every goddamn time, that jack-in-the-box would be sitting there to greet you when you turned around. That was by far the worst part. Just looking at it would make you weak and nauseous, but you always woke up just before you’d collapse. Whenever you awoke from your nightmares you tried to take comfort in the sunrise beginning to slowly come up over the horizon, but deep down you knew the daylight could no longer save you.
Each day you woke up more exhausted than the last, too tired to go anywhere but not able to stand being in your house with whatever entity was making your life hell.
On the contrary, Jack was merely becoming more and more energetic every day. He hadn’t felt this eager in a long, long time. He was even feeling a bit bold, working up the courage once or twice to open the shelf while you were in the room. That scared you the most, making you jump with fear and scramble out of the room as fast as you could.
He knew you didn’t really have anywhere else to go. You could leave for the day, sure, but sooner or later you’d have to come back home. The stars must’ve aligned for him to find you, the perfect little plaything that could never really escape and gave him endless entertainment. You were certainly a funny one.
Although, there were times he enjoyed simply watching you just as much as tormenting you.
Countless times he’d find himself occupied with quietly observing you as if you were a completely foreign creature. He’d peak out of his box to watch you toss and turn at night, to watch you dress in the morning, and he even got to see you walk back from your showers a few times. You looked so soft, even from this far away, with so many places for him to grab and squeeze and wrap his massive claws around.
It was shameful, really. Or it should’ve been at least. Jack didn’t know the meaning of the word. All he knew was that the urge to reach out and grab you in his claws was growing stronger, and fast. His already minimal patience was beginning to thin, and he knew that soon it would run out completely. Watching you from afar wouldn’t be enough.
But that was okay.
He was finally ready to properly greet you, and he knew exactly how he’d do it.
That night you experienced one of the usual terrors, but this time you couldn’t recognize the room. It looked to be the bedroom of a victorian mansion with tall wooden walls decorated with dusty paintings that seemed to go up forever, closing you in on all sides. A child’s toys were scattered around the room, and the blankets on the bed had been tussled and pushed around. It was clear someone had been living here, but who? And why were you in a room you had never seen before?
And why, God—
Why was that jack-in-the-box still sitting on the shelf? And why was the crank turning on its own, playing the quiet, foreboding tune of “Pop Goes The Weasel?”
The feeling of dread that filled you was nothing new, but what you didn’t expect was to see the box slowly open as the crank continued to turn.
The movement wasn’t sudden, but it was absolutely shocking, so much so that you fell back onto your hands. You tried to scoot backwards, to somehow get away, but you couldn’t move. All you could do was watch as the lid of the box clicked into its open place, and a dark shape began to emerge.
It took a moment for you to figure out what you were looking at. The shape had sharp edges and moved slowly, in a controlled manner. It wrapped around the edge of the box and tapped against it.
It was a hand.
A massive hand with pitch black claws, each nearly as large as your palm, much too big to belong to something that should’ve been able to fit in that box.
A second clawed hand reached up, grabbing onto the opposite side of the box. They looked to be pulling up the rest of the body.
You watched, mouth agape in silent horror as the claws were followed by long striped sleeves, then a head and face covered by long black hair that fell past broad shoulders, until eventually the entire body had dragged itself out of the box. The creature sat there limply with its limbs bent unnaturally as if its own body was too heavy for it to move. There was one thing about it, though, that made your blood run cold:
Above a sharp toothed smile that was stretched impossibly wide were two achromatic pinwheel eyes, spinning manically behind a curtain of dark hair. They pierced your soul with their stare, almost seeming to glow in the dark.
There was a split second where you knew you were about to wake up, but the sight before you when you forced your eyes open was so similar to your nightmare that you weren’t sure it had worked.
That…thing from your dream was hovering over you.
Its visage was completely clear to you now, hair falling around its face and on either side of your head as it peered down at you. A single glance towards its body showed it was even bigger up close, easily twice your size. It resembled some sort of clown, in line with the theme of the jack-in-the-box, but nothing about it seemed comforting or humorous.
Your first instinct was to thrash, but you couldn’t move. The clown had pinned your arms down with its massive claws, not even flinching when you tried to fight it off. It took no effort to hold you down.
Its razor-toothed mouth began to crack open, and for a second you expected it to lunge forward and end it all with one fatal snap of its jaws.
But that didn’t happen.
No, instead…
It laughed.
The laugh itself didn’t even sound malicious or evil. In any other context it could easily be mistaken as an innocent giggle, a sound you might make when you saw something particularly cute.
That was what you were to Jack:
Cute.
But not in the way you’d think.
You were cute in the way a helpless, injured animal is cute.
Cute in the way that something you could hold in the palm of your hand is cute.
Cute in the way that something you knew you had complete control over is cute.
Cute in a pathetic, pitiful way that Jack loved.
He had waited so long to have his fun with you, he was trembling with excitement.
“Oooh, there you are!” Jack spoke in a lighthearted tone, drawing out his words in a playful manner. You weren’t sure what you were expecting him to sound like, but it definitely wasn’t that. You couldn’t decide if his oddly happy demeanor and sing-song tone with the cartoonish lilt of his accent was more or less frightening than the classic demonic voice of a supernatural killer.
Suddenly something uncomfortably wet slid from your shoulder to your cheek, and it wasn’t until he pulled back that you realized it was his tongue.
It was impossibly long and had the same striped pattern as his sleeves, moving in a much too articulated manner, as if it was another limb. You watched with wide eyes at it slowly retracted back into his mouth with a sickening wet sound. You could imagine it coiled up in there like a snake; after all, that was the only feasible way it should’ve been able to fit back in his mouth.
“You taste even better than I imagined…” The clown continued, taking no notice of (or at least not caring about) your discomfort. “You’ve been teasing ol’ Jack, haven’t you?”
“J…Jack?” You echoed in a whisper. You could hardly hear your own meek voice.
He only chuckled in response, taking great delight in hearing you say his name.
One of his hands released your arm, though you didn’t dare move either way. It slowly slid its way under your oversized nightshirt, pushing it above your chest and exposing your entire midriff. Both of his hands ran along your sides slowly, two claw-tipped thumbs barely scraping over your skin. Just a bit more pressure could’ve drawn blood, and it wouldn’t even take much effort on Jack’s part.
You tried not to move, to not even breathe, terrified that one wrong move would get you torn to shreds. You could imagine one razor sharp talon digging into your chest and dragging to your stomach, slicing you open in a mess of gore and intestines and oh, God—
You winced when Jack’s tongue unfurled once more, this time running from your navel all the way to your chest. It left a cold trail of saliva that made you shiver. You had to turn your head away, unable to look at Jack any longer, only to yelp in pain when you felt the sharp sting of a bite.
When you looked down again you were greeted with Jack’s smug grin.
“Pay attention to me and I won’t have to do that again.” He ordered, unblinking stare piercing through you. The tone of the demand was almost whiny, like he would throw a tantrum if he didn’t get his way.
“Wh…What the hell do you want?” You choked out.
Jack didn’t answer. It would be more fun to watch you figure it out on your own.
He adjusted you in his hold, allowing him to sit up as he moved to grasp your thighs. It was then you realized you’d neglected to put on any actual pants before bed, your lower half clad only in your boxer briefs which were doing very little to keep you modest, especially as Jack lifted your clothed bulge closer to his eager mouth.
“W-Wait—!”
But your plea came a moment too late, and any other attempt at words died in your throat when you felt Jack’s tongue run over your cock through your boxers.
“Shit—! Jesus Christ…” You huffed, “What the fuck…are you doing…?”
You dug your teeth into your bottom lip and watched helplessly as Jack’s tongue ran over you once more, making you tense as you felt your cock twitch. Damn, that felt good…
You really shouldn’t have been enjoying this. Especially not this much. You expected to be much more disgusted, and yet you weren’t. In fact, there was a little voice in the back of your head that was eager to take much more.
But what choice did you have, really?
Jack certainly had no intention of stopping, and you certainly weren’t going anywhere. Besides, for all you knew you’d wake up tomorrow and realize this was all a shameful wet dream.
You tried to relax a bit in his grip, which proved difficult when he was staring at you like he wanted to eat you alive.
Before you could blink Jack had suddenly flipped you onto your stomach, making quick work of your boxers with one swipe of his claws. The sound of ripping fabric caught you off guard, and everything happened so fast you weren’t sure what had happened until you felt Jack’s tongue run over the bare back of your thighs.
“Oh my God—!” You cried out, barely managing to muffle yourself with a pillow. You held it tight against your face, and even had to bite down on it in an attempt to stop yourself from screaming when Jack slipped his tongue inside of you.
It felt even longer than it looked, squirming inside of you and leaving absolutely no spot untouched. Every time you thought he couldn’t possibly go any deeper, he somehow did, filling you with his tongue until you couldn’t fit anymore. A shame, really; he had lots more to offer, but he couldn’t expect much from such a little human.
His hands were easily large enough to grasp your waist and hold you against his mouth. You had no way of knowing, but Jack was more than aware of his own strength, even taking care to make sure he didn’t pierce you with his nails. You’d be much for fun alive, after all. Although, this didn’t mean he didn’t have a bit of fun scaring you, occasionally giving a rough squeeze just to feel you flinch. He was thoroughly invested in tasting every inch of you, but that didn’t mean he’d stop toying with you at every opportunity.
Despite his hold on you, you couldn’t stop yourself from writhing desperately in his hands. You weren’t trying to fight him, but the sensation of his tongue wriggling around so deep inside of you was certainly an odd one. Your cock was already throbbing between your legs and dripping precum onto your sheets. There was a nagging urge to reach down and give your needy member some much needed attention, but you couldn’t force yourself to release your painful grip on your blanket. It was the only thing providing you any sort of purchase.
Jack was making quite the show of eating you out as well, moaning and slurping in a rather dramatic manner. He certainly wasn’t afraid of being noisy, though he made sure to stay quiet enough to listen to your encouraging noises. You sounded so desperate and needy, he just couldn’t get enough. You became especially loud when he began to slowly move his tongue in and out. He could even feel you squeeze around it, and it made his cock ache as he imagined what it would feel like to finally be inside of you.
You shuddered when Jack finally retracted his tongue, his saliva completely soaking your hole and beginning to run down your legs, leaving you now feeling thoroughly stretched but unpleasantly empty. He only let you rest as long as it took for him to close and wipe his mouth before he was manhandling you once more, this time flipping you into your previous position on your back. It happened so fast that just the impact of your head on the pillow made you dizzy.
When you looked up again Jack had leaned back a bit, looking down at his hands as he unbuckled his suspenders and soon after his pants. You followed his gaze just in time to see his own massive length spring free from his trousers.
Holy. Fucking. Shit.
It was bigger than anything you’d ever even imagined, and suddenly you felt embarrassingly inadequate. It too was striped, and shaped in such a way that you could easily tell it was a cock but definitely not a human one. He laid it over your stomach and you couldn’t help but gasp at the sheer size. It was thick and heavy too, throbbing eagerly against your skin.
“W-Woah, wait, no way—“ You stuttered, attempting to crawl backwards and away from Jack. “That’s fucking giant, holy shit…You can’t— T-That won’t—“
“Shhhhh!” Jack interrupted as he roughly pulled you back to him, “Calm down, you whiny little thing. You’ll be fine.”
You only whimpered in reply, watching with bated breath as he spread your legs wide to make room for his cock. He groaned with delight when his leaking tip brushed against your waiting hole.
“A-At least be careful…!” You pleaded in a last-ditch effort to earn yourself some mercy.
“I make no promises.” Jack replied shortly, as if he was annoyed with your request. Maybe it was a bit cruel to be so careless, but surely you were being dramatic. Humans were meant to stretch, right? Surely you weren’t that fragile.
The noise that struggled out of your mouth when he forced himself into you was downright inhuman, followed by a string of curses and other equally nasty exclamations of the sort that could’ve barred you from getting you into heaven all on their own. Not that you were going either way at this point.
When Jack had finally filled you as much as he could, only about two thirds of his cock had managed to disappear inside of you. That was still rather impressive, all things considered, and it’s not like he could complain. Your tight hole squeezed around him in all the right places.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck…” You repeated under your breath as you tried to adjust to Jack’s size, a borderline impossible task.
“Foul mouthed one, aren’t you?” He scolded, grabbing your chin roughly. “Behave, or I’ll have to wash your mouth out.”
He seemed to find that hilarious, laughing to himself as if he’d never heard a funnier joke in his life.
“You…fuckin’ freak…” You spat back at him half-heartedly. It was hard to sound angry when you were trying to catch your breath after being filled to your limit. Jack feigned a gasp of disbelief at your lackluster insult.
“Naughty, naughty thing you are! Someone simply must teach you to behave!”
He squeezed you in his grip, testing his hold one last time before he began to pull back. You thought he’d stop halfway or at least start slow, but you were left speechless as he pulled out nearly all the way, leaving just the tip still nestled inside of you. You grabbed his shoulders in an attempt to brace yourself for what was sure to be a brutal impact.
“Brutal” was an understatement.
Shit, it felt like he fucking impaled you. You choked on what would’ve been a shriek when he pushed into you again, nails digging into his shoulder so hard it would’ve drawn blood if he had any. You felt unbearably full as his cock bullied its way back inside of you until it was laying heavy in your stomach.
Jack let out a shuddering moan that dissolved into a breathy laugh as he watched you struggle to keep it together. Your mouth hanging open in a silent scream and eyes going wide with panic was exactly what he wanted to see.
“Aww, did that hurt?” He asked, and honestly the condescending tone stung a bit. You only glared in reply.
He pulled back again, slamming into you with even more force than the first time. You could feel the bed swaying beneath you from the sheer strength. You could only hope he didn’t wind up breaking it after he broke you.
Jack was never one to take things slow, and as soon as he had gotten the hang of his thrusts he set a brutal pace. Each movement made your head spin with the impact. You really weren’t built to take something so massive, you shouldn’t have been able to, but you were taking it despite your body’s protests. You didn’t want to look down, unable to even stand the thought of seeing his gigantic cock disappear inside of you.
Desperate, animalistic noises spilled through your gritted teeth and out of your mouth. Each thrust hit deeper than the last and there were times you swore he was literally rearranging your guts. Of course you would eventually adjust to Jack’s size and strength, but that didn’t shake the fear that this encounter could land you in the hospital. This fear would fade as he continued though, the overwhelming fullness and ache soon melting into a pleasure like you’d never felt before. You grasped at anything you could, whether it be your sheets or Jack’s sleeves or hair, hopelessly clawing at anything you could get your shaky hands on.
Jack’s tongue laid limp out of his mouth as he panted, shamelessly rutting into you like a toy. You were nothing but a rag doll in his clutches for him to hold and use to his black heart’s content, and then some. While you couldn’t bring yourself to look down, he was more than happy to watch his cock thrust in and out of you. The wet squelching sounds made by each little movement were like music to his ears.
He knew he must’ve been hitting deep when he noticed the bulge he was making in your stomach.
Oh, you simply had to see this!
He grabbed your hair roughly and forced you to look down.
“Ahah! Do you see that? Do you?” He asked eagerly. He took your choked noise as a ‘yes.’
“You’re so small, ahah…I wonder how deep I can go before you break in two!”
He tugged on your hair once more, this time pulling it back to expose your neck. You couldn’t stop yourself from moaning as he dragged his tongue slowly up your neck before pulling you into a messy kiss. It only took one second of your surprise to allow him to slip his tongue into your mouth, and it quickly found its way down your throat. You were caught off guard and nearly choked, which only made Jack laugh against your lips. You could feel every little twitch or jerk it made as it explored your throat with no regard for your comfort.
Jack didn’t pull away until he could tell you were struggling for air, retracting his tongue incredibly quickly. You were coughing and heaving to catch your breath, which he apparently found very amusing. It seemed to send him into a giggling fit every time he scared you half to death.
Suddenly Jack came to an abrupt stop. You looked up at him in confusion, but he wasn’t looking at you. He was focused on something else. You felt yourself being jostled around as he shifted his position, sitting up on his knees and lifting you from the bed with one hand still around your waist and the other under your back. You were entirely supported by his hands now.
What the hell is he thinking?!
You felt him retracting once more, but this time he wasn’t moving his hips. He was moving you.
He showed no signs of struggle or even the slightest strain as he began to thrust into you again, your weight practically nothing to him. He was using you like a goddamn fleshlight, nothing more than a sleeve for his cock.
And honestly…It wasn’t so bad.
That seemed to be your breaking point, any sense of dignity you had before completely going out the window as you gave into him fully. If he was going to use you like a toy, you could at least put in the effort to be a good one.
“F-Fuck! Ah—! Jack, m-more…!” You begged, and for a moment a look of surprise flashed across his face. The last thing he was expecting was to hear you pleading for him so shamelessly, but it was a welcome surprise. His signature grin returned quickly, stretching from one pointed ear to the other.
“Oh, more he says?!” He replied, “More, more!  What happened to ‘wait, Jack!’ and ‘you can’t, Jack!’, huh? Sudden change of heart?”
He was mocking your voice, degrading you so blatantly that he expected you to recoil at his nasty words, but instead you tightened around him.
Oh…you liked that.
He was more than happy to keep going.
“What is it then, hm? Or have you already gone too stupid to answer me? Aha, you really do love this!”
You nodded quickly in response, managing to push out a slurred reply that sounded vaguely like an agreement.
“Fine then,” he conceded, “I can give you more…”
And just when you thought he couldn’t possibly go any faster or shove in any deeper or make you cry out for him even more.
He fucked you like his current life and the next depended on it, each thrust slamming the headboard into the wall so hard it left a mark. Your legs trembled as you began to get lost in the pleasure. It all felt like a blur, a wonderful blur only broken up by the realization that you were much closer to your orgasm than you realized.
“Jack, J-Jack—! I’m close, I…I’m…” You couldn’t even choke out a single sentence of warning. Jack was more than aware of what you were trying to tell him, but he was content to let you pathetically struggle for words.
“Go on, why don’t you? If you need it so bad I won’t stop you.”
His attempt at an impartial tone was greatly hindered by his obvious excitement, a result of how close he was to his own peak and how much he desired to see you cum. He wanted so badly to see you make a mess for him, to feel you spasm around him and know that he was the one who brought you to that.
“Oh, please—!” You whined, “Please, please, please…”
You had no idea what you were begging for. You didn’t have to, though, because it seems like your pleas worked anyways. Every muscle in your body tensed on instinct, your back arching up into Jack and one last high pitched cry managing to leave your throat as you came. The force of your orgasm hit you like a truck, more intense and prolonged than any other you’d had, helpfully hastened by Jack’s increasingly erratic thrusts.
“Ahah, you squeezed so tight!” He gushed, “You feel so, so good…”
Faster, faster, faster, he had to go faster. He was so close, so close. He had to fill you, he had to. He had to see his cum dripping out of you and to know that he’d filled you with all he had and you had to be filled.
He went silent for a split second, and you knew what you were in for when his hips stuttered before going still, but you weren’t ready for the sheer amount of cum he pumped into you. He held you on his cock until he was completely done, continuing to make small ruts with his hips until he’d ridden out his orgasm to the end. There simply wasn’t room for it all inside of you, but even as it flowed out of you and down your legs and onto your sheets he continued to spill into you. You’d gone limp in his hands by the time he was done.
You barely processed the feeling of being laid back down on your bed, but you definitely winced when Jack pulled out of you. Damn, you were already sore. Not to mention your forehead was drenched with a thick layer of sweat and your thighs were soaked with a multitude of bodily fluids that you were trying not to think about right now.
You managed to crack an eye open when you heard Jack snickering.
“Tired already? A shame. I had fun.” He said casually, as if the both of you had just returned from an outing and he hadn’t practically jumped you in your own home. Your only answer was an exhausted sigh.
Jack cocked his head to the side as he stared down at you. Were you really so worn out already? He wasn’t tired at all! Then again, “tired” wasn’t really something he felt…
Humans are so strange.
He laid down beside you and draped an arm over you. When he leaned in you expected him to lick you again, but instead he brought you into a kiss. An actual kiss, the first real gesture of affection he’d given you, even if it was rather brief. He pulled away to nestle his face into the crook of your neck, and you could feel his laughter against your skin.
“You’re a funny one, do you know that? I hope I get to play with you a lot more…”
Oh, fuck.
He wasn’t leaving, was he?
Nanami Kento x fem! Reader
Based on this moodboard I made
For reference son is around 5 years old, older daughter is around 3, baby is almost 1 and the fetus is a fetus.
Nanami walked leisurely across the shore line of Kuantan watching his son and daughter in pure amusement as they poked and prodded at a displeased crab.
He had warned them earlier to leave the animal alone, that its claws would pinch their little fingers however, they insisted that the crab come back to live in their sand castle and that it had simply lost its way home. He couldn’t argue with that.
So for the better part of half an hour he had joined his kids in the slow journey guiding “Mr. Grabs” back home. And finally after a lifetime of traversing the sand dunes, the sand castle was in view.
“Almost there Mr. Grabs” his daughters sweet voice offered words of encouragement gently tapping the crabs hard exterior with a twig in the hope to jolst in further ahead. His son however, has grown restless over this whole ordeal.
“UGHHHH Can this thing be any slower” his son puffed, squeezing at his blonde tendrils in frustration. Nanami let out a breathy laugh recounting that at least all the lessons he had taught them both on patience had an effect on one of the children.
In that moment of positive recollection, he glanced upwards towards the sky soaking in the warmth from the rays above.
Big Mistake.
His knee-length clone identified this slight second of distraction from the adult present which gave him enough time to make his move. Nanami should have expected this, kids are like predators, waiting for a moment of weakness from their prey (their parents) before striking and doing something stupid. Alas just as quickly as his happy memories started to play, it ended with the shrill shriek of his daughter.
“Put him down” she screamed as she watched her brother pick up Mr Grabs and run in the direction of the sand castle. Before Nanami could open his mouth she had taken off after her brother, swinging her plastic toy shovel in the air. Standing there in the cloud of sand dust left by his children Nanami mused the idea of yelling at both of them to stop knowing they would both immediately listen but something tickled in the back of his head reminding him that this would be a great parenting lesson to have up his sleeve so he resigned to watching this small bout of madness play out already knowing how it would end.
His son looked back at his sisters expression taunting her with a toothy grin “I’m just faster than you-“
“Three, two, one…” like magic Nanami counted in his head and as soon as the clock struck midnight his son’s face began to contort. First confusion, then pain, then….
Every beachgoer in the near vicinity, grimaced at the ear splitting scream let out by the little boy as he began to flay his arm attempting to unattach a very pissed off crab from his appendage. Pushing the smug parent grin to the back of his mind Nanami approached the panicked child and removed the crustacean from his body, tossing it to the side and watching as it hurriedly scuttled away.
“Errrrr, Kento!” Your voice slashed through the moment “When I said watch the kids, watching them get bitten by crabs was not what I had in mind!” You grumbled, awkwardly manoeuvring yourself upwards, your round pregnant belly throwing off your centre of gravity causing you to stumble slightly in your ascent. Beside you your youngest child babbled happily in the sand, unaware of the distress her older siblings were in.
Nanami grinned sheepishly “It’s alright dear no one got hurt” he held the blushing boys arm as proof of his claim “Lie back done and get some rest” he cooed sweetly. Although your eyes were hidden behind a pair of sunglasses he could feel the daggers aimed in his direction before you sighed and laid back down in the sun chair, picking back up the mother magazine you were reading.
He knelt down wordlessly and analysed the boy's wound, the finger was pinched pink but otherwise no skin was broken and no damage was caused other than to his ego. Smiling sweetly at his son, his lecture to the sniffling child on patience and respecting animals had begun in the most serious tone he could muster with that heavenly ‘Told you so’ feeling swimming in the back of his mind. His son stared at the ground, he hated being scolded by Nanami despite the fact his father never raised his voice or berated him his tone always carried a serious level of discipline and respect that could make a bird feel bad for singing. Nanami didn't like scolding either but he knew it was important to ensure his children stayed on the right path and represented him and his wife's hard work well. The boy nodded wordlessly once Nanami had reached his concluding message and reached out to hug his father's open arms buring his face into the older man's chest.
Tumblr media
This was your fourth child with Nanami yet you were still a bundle of nerves preparing for their arrival. Being so close in age with your youngest (completely unplanned on your part, SOMEONE can’t keep their hands and other body parts to themselves) you worried about dividing your attention equally between the under twos and also how much sleep you would be able to get with breastfeeding two mouths.
You had read countless advice columns and mommy blogs warning about the dangers of having kids too close in age, critiquing mothers with large families on their ability to love and provide attention to all their children equally, and seen countless posts warning about the dangers of just about everything you currently did raising your young family. Doubt began to fill your head and despite having three little ones you felt like a new mother learning to do the correct things all over again.
Nanami did his best to ease your anxiety with foot rubs and affirming words reminding you that you both were a team and that he was ready to take on the sleepless nights again, even suggesting hiring a full time nanny to live in the house during the first few months to make the newborn stage easier. You declined his offer, despite home-care being cheaper in Malaysia it would still eat into a large chuck on his savings that could be allocated better elsewhere. Plus you had just watched a video of kids saying that they liked their nanny more than their moms which only added to your growing anxiety.
Nanami had noticed your behaviour change, especially after you began to second guess whether or not you'd vaccinate the baby and seriously discussed giving birth at home in the tub with no nurse or midwife. He shot down these ideas immediately, insisting that he would not be putting you or his children through that extra stress based on conspiracy theories and fear-mongering. He had started to worry about how all the 'online garbage' was affecting your sanity and mental health during your third trimester and insisted on having a no-technology day at the beach to ease your worries.
After another great parenting lesson was concluded Nanami made his way towards his moody wife. Your grouchiness never bothered him, in fact, it was one of his favourite parts of pregnancy. Seeing you become tender and over-emotional and knowing exactly how to squeeze a smile out of you in those moments was his greatest pleasure and partially why you both had formed a little league football team worth of children in such a short amount of time.
“There are my sweet girls” he approached the cheery baby on the ground first, casually removing the fist full of sand that was making its way to her open mouth and peppering kisses across her chubby cheeks causing her to bubble over in laughter. Music to his ears.
“And my favourite girl” he grinned placing the baby on his hip and crouching beside you on the chair. You glanced away from your magazine and scoffed at the slight on your husband’s over-exaggerated kissy face he was making at you.
“No kisses for me?” He asked playfully cocking his head to the side. You rolled your eyes and placed a single chaste kiss on his lips but before you could pull yourself away, you felt a large hand on the back of your neck , keeping you in place as he deepened the kiss. You mumbled incoherently into his mouth for a second before giving in to the affection placing a soft hand on the side of his face. After what felt like an eternity, this kiss was interrupted by a small disapproving smack from the baby on his side who began claw at both of your faces clearly distressed by this public display of affection.
Giggles enveloped the both of you whilst affectionately watching the baby crawl back to the pile of toys in the sand once placed on the ground.
“Still reading that magazine love? Nanami asked glancing at the the object in question “Honestly, we’ve done this three times already I don’t know what other advice you could possibly need or how much more equipment we could fit in the nursery” he grunted as he stood up from the sand balancing at the edge of your sun-bed.
Rolling your eyes you folded up the magazine placing it out of sight “There’s always some thing new to learn with these things, like the new Montessori school opening nearby and there’s these baby bottles that are shaped like real nipples to help with latching, and a bassinet that rocks the baby for you! It’s called the SNOO it’s about eight thousand Ringgits but we can buy it second hand” Nanami playfully groaned at your rambling shifting his body until he laying between your thighs leaving small kisses where he could reach.
“Are you even listening to me Kento? I said it says here that plastic nappies are actually bad for babies skin and that plastic bottles can cause eczema” He hummed absentmindedly in response resulting in a pout from you and a flick to the forehead.
Brushing off your annoyance he pointed his finger in the direction of your two oldest children who were engrossed in a very intense game of tag “Look over there love”
You winced slightly at the blow your daughter had delivered to her brother back once she caught up with him suppressing your giggle as he face-planted into the floor before getting up and taking after his assailant at full speed.
“And over here” he again pointed to the baby playing “Can I eat that?” in the sand beside them.
“You raised all of these kids just fine without all that nonsense, we’re going to be just fine” he kissed your thighs again caressing small circles into you while his eyes remained half-lidded.
You huffed again staring down at your caring husband allowing yourself to relax at his touch. Maybe he was right, all your babies were happy and healthy and you kept them alive for this long and anonmom2567 couldn't be THAT much better at parenting than you afterall.
"You're probably right Ken" you sighed again closing your eyes and relaxing back into the sunbed, he smiled lazily into your thighs content that his plan had worked and that he could reduce some of his wife’s troubles. The sound of gentle waves and chatter lulled you both into comfortable silence appreciating the wonderful weather, coastal air, and beautiful sky.
Of course as a parent silence meant trouble was afoot.
After a few minutes of this blissful silence you turnt to find your baby was not at her pile of blocks. You immediantly shot up and began to scan the area horrified to see your baby a considerable distance away (how'd she even crawl that fast???) at another families beach set up eating a popsicle from a cooing older lady.
"Aren't you just the most precious little angel" she fawned over your littlest one who was already scanning what they would eat next.
Not only that your oldest son had decided that the most adequet punishment for the slap he had recieved earlier was digging his younger sister neck deep in the sand.
Nanami followed your eyes to the scenes before him and let out a loud laugh, getting up to dig out the now-crying child while you retrieved your baby escape artist.
You were going to be just fine.
best friends // cole walter x reader
Tumblr media
summary: reader and cole are best friends, after sharing a significant moment, she leaves, afraid of her feelings complicating and ruining things…
warnings: swearing (maybe, i don’t remember) mentions of loss of virginity (not elaborated on, i’ve never written smut before, why start now), yelling, miscommunication
word count: 1599
a/n: asks and requests are open and encouraged! thank you so much for the support <3
you and cole were the kind of close that people envied. even before you could talk, when your communication was limited to waving and babbling, you had a special bond. everyone could see that. your parents, his, and in your early years of school, the other children who wanted to sit next to cole (but that was your spot) or play tag and be “it” (cole’s job, because he loved the chase, and more than anything loved chasing you)
the dynamic, the one in which it was you two against the world, didn’t change until high school.
cole played football with his teammates instead of you and hung out more with the popular kids. he decided to forgo the small traditions that meant so much to you—movie night and hanging out by the lake—to kiss other girls, to call them pretty, to break your heart. your relationship was platonic... well, maybe that wasn’t the right word. one-sided, unrequited, unknown were all better suited. over the years you’d done the one thing you weren’t supposed to, that everyone was warned about—you’d caught feelings, but terrified to ruin the friendship, you’d been tight lipped about the whole thing.
still, cole’s smile had become your favourite thing and you began to value the dwindling time you spent together more. you and cole were still best friends, thank god. you still walked each other to class, still told each other about your lives, and you still listened with a smile regardless of which girl he prattled on about—and that was a feat, because there were a lot. so many, he wouldn’t be able to keep track of if not for the notes page on his phone. but, to his credit, he listened to your ranting too. when you talked about the boy you liked, never addressing him by name, cole always smiled. you paid him the same courtesy never noticing how they didn’t reach his eyes. you and cole were best friends and you helped each other with things. studying, sports, chores, this… well, to him you were sure it was no different.
when he’d heard that his best friend was a virgin? well, he had to help.
the morning after, lying next to him, should’ve been blissful. there was no one you trusted more. you should’ve been smiling and making stupid small talk—joking about his brothers and even making plans for the weekend. you should have been happy, after all, you’d wanted this for how long?
silly, you were being silly. staring at his back and at the arm he had draped over your midsection like it was made of flames and burning you, tears pricked the corners of your eyes and they stung. your chest felt tight and there was a lump in your throat making it nearly impossible to swallow and even breathe.
waking up next to cole walter after the night you shared? it should’ve made your day—your entire life, actually. it should’ve been more. to you it was huge, you’d given cole a part of you and had you possessed the ability to time travel you knew you would do it all over again. you loved him and would take what you could get. last night was amazing but this hurt? you couldn’t stand it. soul deep, you felt the fracture. you fearee if you didn’t leave you might just break completely. you’d be fine in a few hours, after you had time to collect your thoughts, process, and compartmentalise, you would be fine. you just needed to get out. to leave.
carefully, you snuck out of his hold. a frantic glance around had your breathing coming out in short bursts. you couldn’t find your clothes. where were your clothes? pressing a hand over your mouth to stifle a sob you picked up one of cole’s discarded shirts and a pair of sweatpants, dressing quickly. then you were gone. the sun hadn’t risen yet but because you were just so damn lucky, alex was sitting downstairs on the couch. he’d seen many girls leaving his brother's bedroom. the distinct difference here was that this one was his brother’s best friend and she was sobbing. you rubbed at your eyes furiously, “not a word, alex” you threatened, ignoring him when he yelled your name and “wait! are you alright?”, you just bolted, slamming the door quickly and breaking into a sprint. the road ahead of you blurred as your tears fell faster and it was by pure luck (surprisingly you had some) that you didn’t end up with a face full of gravel.
cole had driven you both so now your walk-of-shame would last a good twenty minutes. more, if you couldn’t catch your breath.
if it was any consolation, cole’s morning was just as terrible. instead of waking up to an image he had only dreamed up hundreds of time, he woke up to his younger brother, yelling. cole grabbed the blanket and hiked it up, cursing at alex. “what the hell did you do to her?” alex demanded. cole was confused—he’d just woken up, what was alex on about. he glanced to his left and found the bed empty. strained to listen, and didn’t hear the shower running either. he sat up, pulled the blanket with him. “where is she?”
“what did you do!” alex demanded again
cole’s face flushed red and he chased away the mental images of all that had taken place last night. “nothing alex! jesus. what the hell is going on?”
“she was sobbing so you obviously did something!”
cole was done being yelled at. he shoved alex out of his room and pulled on a pair of jeans. he threw on a zip-up that he did in fact, not zip up, and then he wrenched open the door, having to deal with alex’s pestering again, as he pushed past him and rushed down the stairs. cole jumped in his truck and started down the road. he drove all the way to your house, threw pebbles at the glass panes of your window and when you didn’t answer, when your mom, sleepy and still dressed in her nightgown opened the window and sighed quite loudly. “cole dear,” she shouted, “don’t wake my partner please! she isn’t home right now—i actually thought she was with you, but…”
“thank you!” he shouted, not waiting for her to continue before hopping back into his truck and driving off. one last place. there was one last place he knew to check. it was your spot—the two of you. and sure enough, sitting on a rock slab, head buried in your knees and shaking slightly, there you were. cole wasted no time putting his truck in park and he ran to you. moved faster than he had since hurting his ankle, which he wasn’t paying any mind to right now, as he was only focused on you.
“hey, hey.” he soothed. he wrapped his arms around you and pulled you into his arms, swaying lightly. “are you okay? did i hurt you? god, i’m so sorry.”
you shook your head feeling more pathetic than you had in quite some time—possibly ever. “i’m okay,” you assured him.
“you’re crying. that’s far from okay. look at me.” he lifted your chin, making you look him in the eyes despite the small shake of your head, “tell me how to fix it. tell me how to bring your smile back i can’t see you like this.” his words sound genuine, you know they are. you know he isn’t a bad person. actually, you know he’s the best person. it doesn’t make the hurt less.
“it’s… it’s stupid.”
“nothing you feel is ever stupid.” he says, combatting your words.
“last night… it… cole, it meant more to me than it did to you. i know it was just a favour; you helping me, and i’m sorry, but i did it, i caught feelings and i know, trust me i know you don’t see me that way—“
“i was wrong.” he interrupts, “that was stupid.”
you’re about to speak but your mouth closes, suddenly feeling dry. “pardon?”
“that you feel like i’m not absolutely obsessed with you. that you think i’m able to think about anything other than you. you’re everywhere. i dream about you and if i wakeup and you’re not there i go and find you. god, i could stare at you for the rest of my life and find a new thing to love everyday.” cole is saying all of this and looking into your eyes—though it feels more like your soul. he’s always seen you, always loved you, really. you’re it for him. “you’re my best friend, there’s no contest. but i’ve always wanted you to be more. i’ve always hoped we could be more.”
hearing those words from him you can’t stop your smile. face still wet with tears, his thumbs wipe them away. you wrap your arms around his neck and hug him tightly. “last night was everything to me, i’m sorry for not making that clear sooner.” he mumbles into your neck, his hand cupping the back of your neck.
you think there’s something other than hugging you’d like to do, so you pull back a bit and then press your lips against his. the kiss though, it’s different. it isn’t hurried like last night. there’s no hesitation, no uncertainty. he smiles into it, so do you. you both take your time. stop to rest your foreheads against each other’s because you just can’t stop smiling. you’re okay with waiting, you know you have a lifetime.
The kids were hard to put to bed at this age. Always wanting to run around and play. It was a wonder that [Name] and Jake got anything done.
Lo’ak seemed to lead the chaos most of the time, Tuk encouraging his behaviour. This more often then not lead to Lo’ak doing or saying something dumb, usually causing him trouble from his parents. While Lo’ak always seemed to lead the shenanigans, Kiri was easily convinced to join although she pretends she wants nothing to do with them. And despite her ‘indifference’, she always seems to have the most fun. While Neteyam joins them every now and again, it’s more often that the three attempt at playing a prank on him.
Although that never seemed to work.
Once they tried replacing his drink with juice from a plant that was so smelly, that plants around it struggled to grow. But when Neteyam went to take a sip, he was pulled away for more training. Or when they tried to dye his loin cloth, the plant they used turned out to have no pigment when it dried.
These were small things that Jake and [Name] observed about their children. Small things that meant the world to them. Small moments like the one now while they run around the canopy in their Home tree. Although, the chaos can become loud and much too energetic for bed time.
Jake smiled at the kids running around playing a strange game of tag while he held [Name] snug in his arms. Looking down quickly, he found [Name] smiling at the kids as well. Jake could feel the vibrations of her laugh from under him as she reacted to something smart-ass Kiri said. The two could only feel a sense of pride as they watched their children. Jake laughed at Tuk sticking her tongue out at Lo’ak before she started to yawn.
“Alright! Time for bed!” Jake called, having apparently decided to call for bed time at the peak of their fun.
[Name] cringed to her self about the timing, the kids were not going to like this.
Sure enough, loud whining started from the kids. Well, mostly just Tuk and Lo’ak.
“It is not bed time yet! It’s barely even eclipse!” Tuk complained, pointing at where she thought the sun would be before slouching dramatically.
“Yeah! I was just about to beat Tuk! Again…” Lo’ak remarked, mumbling the last part with a grin.
“Come you two, your father is right,” [Name] started with an amused smile.
“As he usually is.” Jake added quietly, only to receive a small elbow in his stomach.
“We should all head to bed if we want to get a good night’s rest. We want to be ready to run faster for tomorrow, right Tuk?” [Name] smiled, watching as her youngest resist a smile at the chance of beating Lo’ak.
“Yeah… But I don’t wanna go to bed!” Tuk complained once again.
“Why don’t we tell you a story?” Jake suggested.
The kids were slowly closing in around them, finding interest in this idea. Tuk jumped right into [Name]’s arms, looking up expectantly at her parents. Neteyam and Lo’ak sat on either side of [Name] and Jake, facing the person promising a story. It wasn’t often that their parents would tell stories like this before bed.
Sure they had told stories of past and passed on information using this medium but a voluntary story before bed? Their parents saved the best stories for this time.
“Could you tell the story of how you fell in love?” Kiri asked softly, hoping that just they would hear as she moved to sit in front of her parents.
“How we fell in love?” Jake smirked, looking at [Name].
“Yeah we can do that.” [Name] looked at Jake, smirking back.
“Ewww. A love story. Of course you would pick that Kiri.” Lo’ak complained, rolling his eyes at Kiri.
“You are going to die sad and alone, Lo’ak.” Kiri stated, smacking his arm.
To which Lo’ak only pouted at, causing Neteyam to laugh.
“I think it is sweet, she can get ideas for her and Spider.” Neteyam teased, drawing out the ‘r’ in spider. Clearly having no such feelings as he laughed.
“You’re going to die alone too!” Kiri remarked, glaring at Neteyam which he only laughed harder at.
“Oh put it a rest you three.” [Name] rolled her eyes, finding not only Tuk laughing, but feeling Jake laugh from behind her as well.
When [Name] heard as close to silence as she was going to get, she began the story.
“Well, it started when your father wandered in this forest with his small crew of scientists.” [Name] began, watching as all of their faces morphed to those of great intrigue.
“After he was separated from the group, he was struggling to survive on his own.” [Name] spoke confidently.
“I wouldn’t say I was struggling.” Jake argued.
“You were struggling.” [Name] repeated with the same confidence.
Jake huffed as was met with the giggling of his children.
“When he was attacked by a pack of viperwolves.” [Name] said dramatically, all of the kids around her gasping.
“As he was struggling to fend them off-”
“What is with all of the ‘me struggling’?” Jake asked, cutting her off again.
“Well if you weren’t struggling then you wouldn’t have needed me to help.” [Name] smirked, knowing she won.
Jake only huffed again and rolled his eyes playfully.
“As he was struggling to fend them off, I jumped down and saved him, scaring all of the viperwolves off.” [Name] explained, a proud tone in her voice that Jake couldn’t help but smile at.
“As I went around accessing the damage he had caused, he dared to thank me.” [Name] shook her head.
Jake rolled his eyes, thinking about how it had been years and she still was not at peace with it. But then he saw he children, shaking their heads in agreement, to which he smiled, shake his head with disbelief at how similar they were to [Name]. Jake thought it was about time to take the story into his own hands.
“Then your mom looked at me, and it was love at first sight.” Jake smiled as he looked at [Name].
“She fell hopelessly in love with me.” Jake smirked, look around at his children who were equally entranced at his telling of the story.
“The only hopeless one here would have been you if I hadn’t helped you.” [Name] stated in a monotone voice, receiving another laugh from her kids.
“Regardless, from that day on, she couldn’t get enough of me.” Jake boasted with a smug smile.
“I then yelled at him for being a bumbling baby and how he should go back to his lab rats.” [Name] smiled with victorious glint in her eye.
“I was not bumbling!” Jake argued again, causing another wave of giggles.
“I don’t know, dad. Kinda sounded like you were a hopeless bumbling baby.” Lo’ak remarked, putting his hands in the air and looking away acting as if he were innocent.
“Nice one Lo’ak.” [Name] smiled, offering a fist to fist bump, which only mean Lo’ak beam with pride.
“Then he followed me to the root of the Hometree. Where I almost got rid of him. But then, like a miracle, the seeds of the tree fell on him, covering him completely.”
Several simultaneous ‘woah’s sounded from the kids.
“It’s actually funny, because if it weren’t for Eywa’s message, I would have shot him while he was prancing around with the viperwolves." [Name] giggled, clearly find that fact hilarious.
Jake did not so much.
“It wasn’t that funny.” Jake pouted, before continuing.
“She then was obviously obligated to bring me in front of the Olo'eyktan, seeing as I was the chosen one.”
“Chosen not to die…” Kiri remarked, [Name] smiled at her.
“Okay, why have we became a Jake Sully hate club today?” Jake asked rolling his eyes at the laughs he received from all of his family.
“Just continue the story, yawne.” beloved
“When we got their they told me that [Name] would teach me to be one of The People.” Jake boasted.
“After he told them he was an empty cup.” [Name] whispered to Tuk, but her voice was loud enough that everyone heard, resulting in another wave of laughter.
“Alright you four, now it’s really time for bed.” Jake stated, fed up with all of this slander.
[Name] kissed his cheek softly, causing Jakes face to move from a pout to a smile as complaints sound from the kids.
“He is right, it is now time for bed.”
[Name] smiled as they all got situated for sleep, when Lo’ak sat next to her, a timid look on his face.
“What’s wrong Lo’ak?” [Name] asked softly, concern written all over her face.
“Do you think I will ever find love?” Lo’ak asked quietly, no doubt trying to hide the question from his siblings.
“Of course you will, Lo’ak! You are a wonderful young man who is going to grow to be a wonderful man with a mate that Eywa has sent, just for you.” [Name] smiled at the boy.
“I have no doubt in my mind that you will meet someone who loves every bit of your wonderful self.” [Name] gazed softly at him.
Many saw much of Jake in Lo’ak but [Name] saw so much of herself in him as well. Lo’ak smiled back before hugging her tightly.
“Thanks mom.” Lo’ak smiled more confidently now, before yawning.
“You get to bed, little man.” [Name] laughed as Lo’ak made his was to where he was sleeping.
Jake walked up behind her, wrapping his arms around his mate.
“We did well with them.” Jake smiled, resting his chin on [Name]’s shoulder for a moment before kissing her neck quickly.
“We did.” [Name] smiled, leaning back to enjoy his arms around her.
“We really did.”
Alright PJO fandom. Let’s clear the air on something real quick.
So if you’ve watched the PJO premiere, I’m sure one of the major changes you noticed was Gabe, and how toned down his behavior is compared to the books. There is also a clear change in the dynamic between Gabe and Sally, with Sally being more assertive and snarky with him.
The fandom seems pretty split on this change. Some people hate it and feel that a dark yet important aspect of the narrative has been lost, some people are neutral about it and are wondering if the whole Poker Player Statue bit is getting removed, and some people welcome this change, saying that Sally is more cool, strong, and badass now, and that showing a woman staying in abusive relationship in hopes of protecting her kid is not okay for current audiences.
To the people who are saying that Sally is more cool, badass, and strong now…
…FUCK YOU.
And here’s why.
I cannot even begin to describe how awful and disgusting it is to imply that book-Sally was weaker, less cool, and less strong because she struggled to stand up to her abuser, struggled to balance the need to leave an abusive relationship and the desire to protect her kid, and found herself making difficult choices in an abusive household. I am baffled that people think that this is an okay thing to say in the year of 2023, going on to 2024.
Are all of you shitting me right now? Are you seriously fixing your fingers to imply that book-Sally is inferior to show-Sally because her story reflects an ugly truth about how hard it is for mothers to stand up to their abusers while trying to look out for their children? Are you all fucking joking?
I have never felt so angry to see so many people diminish what book-Sally went through, and claim that it would be bad to depict something like that on TV. I know what Sally goes through is triggering and not fun to watch, but it is the very fact that her story reflects an ugly truth about what many wives go through that I think her struggle with an abusive husband is so fucking important!
Yes, we don’t want to encourage victims to stay in abusive relationships. Yes, we don’t want to make women feel like the only way to be a good, loving mother is to endure bad situations for your kids. Yes, we want to make it clear to mothers that they, under no circumstances, are obligated to endure an abuser. HOWEVER, the ugly and unfortunate reality is that many mothers have such a strong desire to protect their kids that they will find themselves making this unfortunate choice, and that is not a truth we should shy away from. A depiction of difficult choices that victims feel like they have to make is not necessarily an endorsement of that choice, but rather, a realistic reflection of what people go through.
And I will be DAMNED if I sit here quietly and watch so many of you tread into victim-blamey territory, or imply that book-Sally is somehow inferior because she struggled with the courage to leave and accept the risk of Percy not having Gabe’s protective smell. I literally saw a comment on Reddit where someone was trying to defend the change, and they typed out the sentence “You know what’s not badass? Staying in an abusive relationship.”
As if most abuse victims have the full freedom, resources, and support to just pick up and leave whenever. As if every choice that an abuse victim makes isn’t being made in the context of danger, pressure, stress, anxiety, depression, fatigue, and so much more. As if an abused woman’s top priority should be to look “badass” instead of trying to take care of herself.
I am a proud Book-Sally defender, and I will happily fight anyone who dares to imply she isn’t as strong or badass as show-Sally because standing up to her abuser wasn’t easy for her. I am extremely disappointed in this fandom for this ugly language regarding book-Sally in comparison to show-Sally.
And quite frankly? All of you can kiss my ass.
Synopsis: Hawks feels guilty for having an affair with a villain and he comes to see you so he can end it. But turns out it ain’t that easy to give up something so perfect and addicting.
Word count: 3.4k
A.N.: This is an old WIP, which I finally had the motivation to finish.
Tumblr media
It was almost midnight when Hawks was about to go out and end something he never should’ve started in the first place. Dressed in all black, he walked towards the window but stopped to take a look at himself from the mirror.
His usual carefree smile was gone and replaced with a serious expression, the gold of his eyes reflecting disappointment and guilt. He was no longer able to feel himself as a pro-hero as he had sunk too deep into the world of villains and that was the reason encouraging him to fly into the chilly night.
Buildings passed by and bright lights were glowing beneath as Hawks made his way to your rundown apartment building. He knew the route by heart, having visited you hundreds of times, even when he was supposed to be patrolling. That alone was more than a reason to stop accepting that forbidden fruit you were offering.
Soon the better side of the city switched to an area that Hawks himself could’ve ended up in if the HPSC hadn’t made him a pro-hero. He landed gracefully on the slanted roof before knocking on your skylight window and not long till you came to open it.
“Hi Hawks,” you cooed while placing your hands flat on the window sill.
“Hey Y/N,” he mumbled.
“Come on in,” you urged, turning your back on him while walking towards the couch table.
Hawks entered your apartment and cautiously glanced at your figure, which was clad in a satin morning robe that hugged your curves perfectly. The hem of it was short enough for him to get a glimpse of your lacy panties when you bent over to pick up a glass of half-finished wine. A dryness spread in his throat for the utterly attractive sight and he tried to swallow imperceptibly as you turned around.
“What a nice surprise,” you purred, knowing he had stared at your body, “I thought I’d never see you again,” you added a little sarcastically while taking a sip from your glass.
“Yeah,” Hawks mumbled, embarrassed as you referred to the words he said every time after being buried inside you; that this would be the last time.
Needless to say, it wasn’t more than a lie he repeated in hope that someday he’d listen to himself. You knew that, yet as he avoided your gaze, you noticed that this time something was different.
“So.. What brings you here?“ You asked.
Hawks turned to look at you again, “We need to stop doing this,“ he suddenly blurted out, making you tilt your head a bit. He was clearly nervous, glancing down before recollecting the rehearsed words.
“I’m one of the top pro-heroes of this nation so there’s a lot of expectations and pressure put on me. Other pros rely on me to do my job and society trusts me to keep them safe,” he explained calmly, albeit with a certain strictness in his voice.
“People are looking up to me– little children are looking up to me. But I’m not worthy of their admiration anymore, not after everything I’ve done,” Hawks looked down and you could hear just how deeply bothered he was.
“I have to fix this, otherwise I can never look at myself in the mirror again, let alone look any of my colleagues in the eyes. And I know there might not be much I can change–” he lifted his eyes and focused them on yours.
“But you, I can stop seeing.“
You studied his serious eyes before placing the wine glass back on the couch table, “So you’re here to end this?”
“Yes. And I also should start by doing the right thing, but since I’m the corrupted pro-hero here, I’m not gonna arrest you– he started, noting the way you turned your sharp eyes at him, ”But if I ever see you again after this, I will.”
His threat wasn’t enough to falter your composure as you now turned to fully face him with your arms folded. Having been involved with Hawks for some time, you knew a lot of his personal things, including his true status as a HPSC spy. Such information allows you to approach the issue from another angle.
So barely narrowing your eyes, you tilted your head, “Do you know why you’re feeling the way you are?”
Hawks blinked, having not expected you to ask such a question. Nevertheless he didn’t even try to comment on something that was beyond his comprehension and instead waited for you to elaborate.
“So you got your hands dirty with the League, one of the worst villains this country has seen in ages. You’ve assassinated dangerous villains and even corrupted pro-heroes, who the Safety Commission deemed as inconveniences, capable of disrupting the illusion of perfect heroes–” you explained, not taking your eyes off of him.
“But that’s what you’re supposed to do as their trained weapon.”
Your remark resonated within Hawks so he listened to your credible and assertive voice continue.
“You can’t refuse those orders because they are decisions made by your superiors and that’s why those wrongs are never supposed to be on your conscience,” you added while taking a few steps closer to him, the serious look on your features softening a little.
“You are a good guy, Hawks. We both know that if it was up to you, you would’ve left all of those things undone.”
He could feel the burden in his heart lightening for you were right. If he ever would have had any say, he would’ve chosen differently. Though realizing that wasn’t still quite enough to erase his guilt as something still gnawed at him and he didn’t know what it was. Luckily you did.
“Now, I know what you really feel the most guilty about. And that’s me,” you said, drawing his momentarily faltering attention back to you.
“Why do you say that?”
“You said it yourself. What you’re doing with me is the only thing you can control, which means that fucking me is your own choice. Now that you know that, you have a chance to make things right.”
In a way it was a lot to internalise for Hawks so he stared at you indecisively. If he would leave now and never return, his conscience would mostly be purified. But what made him waver was that even if you were the only taint in his reputation, why should it matter since no one knew about your affair.
It should’ve been an easy decision yet he hesitated. And it didn’t help that your eyes gained a mischievous glint and your lips formed a wicked smile before slowly starting to advance him.
“But if you really think about it.. is what we’re doing such a bad thing after all?“ You asked. Hawks didn’t respond, instead he tensed up at your changed demeanor, acknowledging the seducing swing of your hips and the power it had over him.
“I mean.. Everyone’s bound to make mistakes. No matter how good or untainted someone seems, everyone will make poor choices and wrong decisions,” you pointed out while invading his personal space.
“So since you’re eventually gonna do something bad anyway.. Why not let it be me?“ You purred, placing your hands against his chest and using your index finger to draw circles in the exposed part of it.
Hawks gulped. No matter how much he tried to fight himself, he couldn’t deny that your words made sense. You were just a little mistake he repeated every once in a while and that was totally humane. It’d be unreasonable for anyone to demand him to be flawless.
Suddenly an alarm started screaming in his head that this was exactly what you do; mess with his mind. Sure, you were only speaking the truth, but even so if you’d manage to lure him into your bed, it’d still be wrong.
His features turned darker, the golden hue of his eyes glowing ominously while his pupils turned into slits. Like informing you that he knew what kind of game you were playing and he wasn’t gonna let you get away with it without repercussions.
But you only chuckled, knowing that his hostility was always a sign for being a few words away from tearing your clothes apart, “You wanna punish me, hero..?” You cooed.
“Don’t fucking tempt me,“ he growled.
“For all of your life you have taken orders from others. So why don’t you for this once, Hawks, follow your own desires–” slowly, you leaned in to bring your lips close to his ear, “..And make a bad choice.”
That was all it took for Hawks to throw his resolution out the window and shut the reason within his head. He grabbed your throat and violently backed you towards the couch before shoving you down on it. You gasped in excitement, the impact of your body slamming on the couch causing the wine glass to fall from the table and shatter into pieces. But Hawks couldn’t care less as he was impatient to take his jacket off before getting on top of you.
Provoked by your horny grin, he grabbed your jaw and kissed you fiercely. It was dirty, sensual. The way his tongue instantly intruded your mouth and started rubbing against yours. Sloppy and hot, saliva dripping down the side of your mouth while your hands impatiently tore each other’s clothes off.
His hand tugged down your panties while pulling away from you, “Take these fucking things off,” he snarled. As you were completely naked under him, he brought his fingers into his mouth, wetting them before sneaking them in between your legs.
Your sultry moan was like a charm he needed to hear as he pushed his fingers inside you. Feeling the soaked walls of your pussy, he turned his glare at you.
“You’re this fucking wet already?” He asked with a despising tone, yet at the same his cock twitched in anticipation.
You showed him a toothy grin like a siren revealing her true intentions, “I can’t help it. It’s such a turn on to corrupt everyone’s favorite Wing Hero,” you purred.
“You fucking slut,” Hawks growled while unbuckling his belt, bringing his lips on your neck, kissing and nibbling the sensitive skin of it. Your hand flew into his wild hair, fingers running through the golden locks while the other one helped him lower his pants and free his aching cock. You spread your legs wider as he pulled away from your neck.
“I’ll give you what you want,” he panted, adjusting his position and lining his cock with your tight entrance. You were panting, eyes half-lidded as you placed your hands on his ass.
”Yeah, shove it in me,” you whined desperately with want and as the head of his cock sank inside you, a lascivious smile twisted your face and your eyes rolled in the back of your head. Hawks gritted his teeth as your wet walls were so silky, wrapping around him so fucking good.
He started slamming into you hard, earning loud moans from you after each thrust. Your hands slid under his shirt, nails scratching his muscular back and leaving trails all over. You folded your leg around him, wanting him, needing all of him.
He panted in pleasure, mind disappearing into another dimension as he was completely lost and uncaring about the things that had bothered him earlier. All that mattered was your sweet, irresistible pussy wrapped around him and the need to use it to get himself off.
It was dirty, shameless and nothing was there to hold neither of you back. That’s why you were the only one who could give it to him the way he needed. If he was gonna betray himself and his beliefs, it might as well be with someone who let him do whatever he wanted.
And you did. You could let him cum all over your pretty face, tits, pussy, you name it and he wouldn’t have to worry about your feelings, honor or any other insignificant shit. He could bend you over the nearest counter and fuck your pretty cunt from behind, grip your hair and make you scream, but your eyes would roll in your head and your tongue would loll out since it was only pure pleasure you felt. You could take anything. You could take him and all of what was him, including his dark side, which he had to keep hidden from everyone else.
It was hours you spent fucking. Right now you had taken things to the bedroom and you were currently sitting on his face, grinding yourself on his tongue. His arms were hooked over your parted thighs and his tongue was flicking your sensitive clit.
Your hands were placed flat against the wall as you supported your figure and moved yourself, your eyes hazy and tongue hanging out, you were lost in the pleasure and about to cum.
“Aww shit, Hawks..! I’m fucking cuming..!” You moaned, throwing your head back and continuing to move your hips. Your desperate cries made his cock twitch against his toned stomach as he continued to swirl his tongue around your clit, adding more pressure to make you reach your high.
You cried out, walls clenching around nothing as pleasure washed over you in steady waves. Breathy pants passed your lips as you now lifted yourself off of him to collapse on the bed.
Hawks was catching his breath before wiping your slick from his face with the back of his hand. He wasn’t done so while you were gulping for air, he got up on his knees and grabbed your ankles. Forcefully pulling you closer to himself, you squealed in surprise before coming in contact with his dark eyes.
“You think we’re fucking done?” He asked and you showed him a twisted grin.
“Oh no sir, never,” you panted, ready to obey any command given to you.
“On your hands and knees. Hurry the fuck up,” he urged and you wasted no time to get on all fours. Arching your back, you spread your legs a little to give him a perfect sight of your pussy.
Hawks inhaled deeply, chest heaving from arousal as he brought his hand to your ass cheek. Squeezing it, his thumb pressed the soft skin hard enough so your puffy folds spread a little, showing your glistening slit. His cock throbbed almost painfully, aching as if demanding for friction.
He grabbed his hard length, lewdly giving a few slaps on your swollen lips before pressing the head of it against your sweet hole. His eyes rolled in the back of his head as your wet, inner lips molded perfectly around him.
Placing his hands on your hips, his grip on them was bruising, unforgiving as he began ramming his cock inside you. Your face distorted in pleasure, brows furrowed in bliss as Hawks pounded into you, every once in a while giving your ass a harsh slap.
A thin sheen of sweat covered your bodies as they moved in heat, his grunts and your moans echoing across the walls. Skin slapping against skin in an obscene manner, leaving no doubt for any prying ears of what you were doing.
A tiny drop of sweat trailed down Hawks’s temple to his jaw while he kept thrusting into you relentlessly, observing how his slick-coated cock moved in and out of your pussy. Hard slams causing squelching sounds so shameless and foul, your fingers curled into the sheets, eyes half-lidded with pleasure written all over your features.
Hawks leaned his form over your smaller one, his hand palming your breasts, thumbs sweeping past your peaked nipples. His weight forced you face down on the mattress with your cheek pressing against it.
He grabbed your wrists and twisted your arms behind your back, holding onto them before picking up the pace. He gritted his teeth in both pleasure and the drunkening power he had over your pliant body. You were his property and whether he wanted to go gently on you or absolutely batter your pussy, you were completely on board with it.
Desperate moans kept tumbling down your parted lips, your hair a mess with strands all over your face. Suddenly Hawks brough his hand over your mouth, forcing his middle- and ring finger inside. He didn’t even have to command when you already closed your lips and sucked his digits, swirling your tongue around them as if you were sucking dick. Drool leaked down the side of your mouth, on the sheets as your vision was blurry with pleasure.
Hawks was starting to near his umpteenth orgasm and he slammed inside you harder, balls slapping against your abused pussy. Pulling his fingers from your mouth, he grasped a chunk of your hair while his other hand gripped your hip.
Noting his rough gestures, you knew he was getting close, “Nnh.. Where do you wanna cum..?” You moaned.
Hawks hesitated for a moment, not knowing whether he should empty his balls inside you or just shoot his load on your back. But then he stopped and pulled out of your heat. You glanced over your shoulder to see him getting on his feet beside the bed.
“Get down on your knees and fucking suck me off,” he huffed and you immediately moved yourself down on your knees before him. A hungry smile spread on your face as you grabbed his erection and wrapped your lips around it. Starting to bob your head back and forth, your moans sent pleasurable vibrations as you enjoyed the taste of yourself on his cock.
Hawks shut his eyes and leaned his head back, both of his hands tangling up in your hair as he forced himself deeper into your throat. He moved your head on his cock as he was so close that nothing could stop him from getting his rightful release.
“Fuck.. I’m gonna cum on your fucking face now..!” He groaned and as he let go of your hair, you pulled your head back with a wet pop, keeping your mouth open and stroking him into his orgasm. A loud grunt escaped his gritted teeth as he spilled his load all over your pretty face and tongue. You swallowed what drops of his seeds had landed on your tongue while some of it dripped down your naked breasts.
Hawks panted loudly from relief and as he lowered his gaze on you, you showed him an unashamed smile while using your index finger to wipe some of his sperm from your chest. Then bringing it up into your mouth, your eyes were locked intensively as you licked your finger clean.
“You really are a dirty bitch,” he sighed contently, using the word he could never say to any other woman.
You licked your lips seductively and placed your hands on your knees, leaning forward a little, “You want more?”
“Fuck yeah.”
***
It was almost small hours and the moans in your dark bedroom had quieted down.
Hawks was now sitting on the edge of the bed, naked and with an impassive look on his handsome face. Slowly, he glanced over his shoulder at your figure that was sound asleep. Covers were tangled up around your naked body and you looked so peaceful even though only moments ago you had engaged in such a dirty and lecherous act.
Hawks blinked, his lips twitching and he turned his gaze back, thinking that unlike him, you had no reason to feel any guilt or shame. There were no morals or obligations to bind your desires, therefore you were free to do whatever you wanted. A bittersweet thought in a way.
Nevertheless, he got up and went to pick up his clothes that had been scattered over the floor in the heat of the moment. He dressed himself as if nothing had happened before flying back into the night.
When he arrived home, he was about to take off his jacket, but stopped to take a look at himself from the mirror. Though his reflection hadn’t changed much, he was indeed barely able to look at himself now. His guilt, shame and disappointment had only increased, but still there was a little part of him that had actually been satisfied.
He was torn. Once again you had managed to entice him, but as strong emotions drilled into his insides, he didn’t know whether to lie to himself that there would be no next time, or just accept the fact that to him you’ll always be a hard drug without a chance of rehab.
mommy's moon sign: a thread ☾ part two — libra thru pisces
if you're looking for part one (aries-virgo), then click here
Tumblr media
libra moon: if your mom has a libra moon, she could have been more preoccupied with her relationship with your father rather than putting herself in a position to be focused on her pregnancy + preparing a balanced environment for you. libra moon mamas often go through it with the father of the baby if they prematurely decide to have kids outside of wedlock (we don't judge over here). your mom could have been more focused on the aesthetics of motherhood + also on you being able to have both parents under one roof to be able to fit her ideal family picture. this mentality could have led her to distract herself from the bigger picture which is making sure that she is in a healthy, fulfilling relationship with your father. i wouldn't be surprised if you knew more than you should have when it comes to your parents' relationship as a child. with libra being the sign of relationships, the relationship patterns that your mother exhibited when pregnant with you could have been something that you picked up on, whether it be healthy or unhealthy. beware of issues with co-dependency + people pleasing passed down from your mom as those are big themes that must be overcome in the life of a libra moon mama. libra moon mamas hold a lot of resentment due to being so passive about people overstepping their boundaries + could project that pain onto you if it remains undealt with. as her child, she may be triggered by her relationship with you because she sees you as her mirror. encourage her to have strong boundaries. it's okay for her to say no and she won't be hated for it. respect her decisions. be sure not to be the child that coddles her emotions at the end of the day because she is a grown ass woman, but you should affirm her that it is okay to self-validate without trying to over-rationalize however she feels so that she can move through her emotions + not be avoidant.
scorpio moon: the moon is in a debilitating position (fall) when in scorpio, therefore, it isn't uncommon for women to have a painful pregnancy due to all of the trauma being stored in the womb. your scorpio moon mama may have lived in a state of fear or distrust during her pregnancy + i wouldn't be surprised if she felt alone due to not trusting people. this lack of nurture within the womb was definitely passed down to you if she didn't take accountability to heal from the pain that she experienced. scorpio moon mama would kill to make sure that all your needs are met, but when it comes to handling intense emotions, she may have not known how to navigate those with you (similar to capricorn moon mothers). scorpio moons experience a wounded relationship with their own mother + now that it's their turn to be a mom, they want to be better for their children. motherhood is definitely something that transformed them for the better + they really have the make a conscious effort to not display the same patterns that hurt their inner child. be patient with her + even though you are not responsible for her emotions + how she handles them, provide a safe space for her so that she knows that she is not alone. having emotional boundaries with your mother is also important — not having those boundaries with her can manifest into perpetuating a preoccupied/anxious attachment within yourself.
sagittarius moon: sagittarius moon moms usually end up unexpectedly pregnant. i've noticed that a lot of sag moons are not aware of their cycle which can definitely be responsible for unexpected pregnancies. nonetheless, their pregnancy + motherhood is something they ended up being excited about. they could have had a "fuck it, we ball" mentality because realistically speaking, such is life. lack of preparation could have led to instability in your mother's life while she was pregnant + even after giving birth, bouncing around from place to place. sagittarius moon mamas usually have a youthful + humorous personality, being able to relate with their children + make them laugh. it can be hard to take a sagittarius moon mother seriously because they're usually deemed as the "cool moms" that are very lenient with their children. they can often struggle with disciplining their children because of their own free-spirit nature. if your mother didn't prioritize structure + routine while raising you, it's possible that you downloaded that naturally chaotic, fiery, and unpredictable energy that she also has. sagittarius moon mamas need to be able to teach their children that there are consequences to their actions so that their kids don't end up getting in trouble later on in life or even dangerous situations. hold your own mother accountable for her actions + don't be afraid to put her in her place! she has a lot to learn from her experience as a mother, which includes listening to the ones that she birthed.
capricorn moon: capricorn moon mothers usually have children later on in life (not always though) - either way, the universe granted them their babies when they were ready + prepared to take on this mission as a mother. before motherhood, capricorn moon mommies could have performed the motherly role in other ways (eldest sister, nursing/doctor/healer career, etc etc) so this is not their first rodeo. capricorn moons get a reputation for being cold + stern, which is how they may come across but really they are just not about the bullshit + they take their role as a mother very seriously. they recognize how serious motherhood is and therefore you are going to respect the fuck out of your capricorn mother, even if you don't agree with some of the things that she has tried to instill in you. capricorn moon mothers are focused on legacy + will do her best to make sure that she raises well-rounded children, setting them up for success. so if you have the kind of mother that has tried to shove education + career down your throat, it's because she just wants you to be successful. they also may struggle with being in their feminine energy, especially if your mother is the provider in the house so as her child, you should encourage her to do some therapeutic activities with you to ease some of that stress. though she takes her role as a mother very seriously, there is no denying how stressful the role is on her + can really take a toll on her physical body. if she's open to it because i know how traditional capricorn moons can be, i highly recommend going to therapy together in order to unpack + heal some of those deep seated emotional blockages that can really help to improve + strengthen the family unit.
aquarius moon: these are the unorthodox mothers. the mothers that have instilled confidence in their children from a very early age. your mother may have gotten pregnancy at an awkward time in her life, therefore she realized that she had to start getting real strategic around here to ensure success for this nu era in her life. with an aquarius moon mother, there may have been some distance between you two, whether it be physical or emotional distance. i've noticed that people with aquarius moon mothers were raised by their grandparents or were adopted + don't really know their mother like that (along with pisces moon mamas). if your mother was present throughout your entire upbringing, you may have noticed that she was preoccupied with other tasks such as showing up for her tasks in the real world. there could be strain between you and your mother because you may have felt like she could have paid more attention to you. regardless of how your relationship with your mother manifested, you more than likely came out to be very independent + confident enough to march to the beat of your own drum. these are the moms that started cursing in front of their kids since they were babies. because aquarius moon mamas are very independent themselves, you could have felt like your aquarius moon mama robbed you of your childhood because you too had to learn how to become independent + self-reliant from a young age, resulting in inner child wounds. because the relationship that you have with your mother is not like the traditional mother-child relationship, she can come off more like a friend or an older sister, also resulting in mother wounds because of that lack of motherly nurturance that the child craves + needs. learning to become emotionally vulnerable + transparent with your mother is a theme in order to evolve the relationship. validate where you feel like she may have lacked while also respecting the fact that she did the best that she knew how to. she needs you as someone to hold her ego accountable.
pisces moon: similar to the aqua moon mom, your mother may have been there, but also not "there". there could have been a period in your life where your mother was not physically present + you had to be raised by someone other than her (grandparents, foster care, aunts/uncles, etc). your mother may not have been in the most ideal situation when she got pregnant with you + pregnancy could have also been a karmic consequence for not listening to her intuition. regardless, when she knew she was pregnant, there was no way she could give up the opportunity to be a mother. if your mom was physically away from you, she was always there in spirit, praying for you + making sure that you are spiritually protected even if it's just by asking the powers that be to watch over you. like the other water moons, pisces moon mama may have had a traumatic relationship with their mother + may have transferred over that pain into the relationship that you've had with your mom. having a pisces moon mommy is not for the weak, especially if she didn't do her due diligence of karmic clean up, leaving it for you to take responsibility for. pisces moon mamas may also avoid the accountability + the responsibility of being a mother because the weight of motherhood is just too heavy, especially if she has lack of support, which often times they do. regardless of how your relationship is with mom, the energetic bond runs so deep as you are strongly karmically bound in order for certain karmic missions to be completed. definitely not the most reliable mom, but at the end of the day, it will forever be all love when it comes to her children. it's best to just accept her as is - whatever has transpired is not your fault, but it is your responsibility to do better for your own life.
Trolls Human AU but it’s college student snack pack raising Tiny diamond as all of their kid when Guy Diamond finds himself with a child at the rope young age of 19.
The crew having a schedule of who watches Tiny at any given time on any given day. (It is extensive and color coded and Branch had a great time making it.)
Everyone explanding tiny diamonds repertoire of skills before he can even comprehend his own existence. Like.
Suki who holds a one year old Tiny on her lap while she works on mixes.
Cooper and D who switch off holding Tiny in one of those chest carrier things while they play DDR.
Poppy who will give Tiny a bag of scrap paper and tell him to make a picture inside it. (She doesn’t want to let him actually touch the paper, lest he ingest it.)
Branch who puts on science kids shows like Wild Kratts and Sid the Science Kid on the background while he and Poppy have Tiny so that he kid can start learning fun science stuff early.
Sati and Chenille who started by dressing up Tiny in their studio, but ended up just letting him use his creative guidance on them. (They hold him above a pile of fabric and whichever two he picks they have to make work as a garment.)
Biggie who has “tea parties” with Tiny and Dinkles (his cat) and is always trying to teach the baby proper table manners, it’s futile, for Tiny is a menace.
Smidge who teaches the baby to “work out”. (She actually owns a bunch of grip training baby toys that she hands him while she lifts weights.)
Barb who insists she doesn’t like babies but will happily take Tiny in for a night when needed, making little purée dinners for him and spoiling him rotten for the evening.
Legsly, who encourages Tiny to dance with her in her living room, gripping his hands and holding him up so they can “dance”.
Fuzzbert who is canonically mute and uses sign language to communicate in this universe, who loves to bring Tiny out to the park to experience nature with him, always mesmerized by the baby’s wonder at the clouds and the leaves. (Listen, I just like to imagine that Fuzzbert as someone who often finds themself unable to make themselves heard, quite enjoys the satisfaction of such a small child finding joy in the same things he does.)
Tiny who is very monkey-see monkey-do, and actually is a very well rounded kid after being raised by so many well rounded people who care about a love him.
When they’re together as a group, usually at game nights, they’ll make Tiny little “mocktails” aka, like, mango juice, so that he doesn’t feel left out while they all drink their drinks of choice.
Tiny is the most spoiled kid on earth because he has so many aunts and uncles willing to pitch in and get him whatever he wants.
Brozone and Viva also loving Tiny when they meet him one day while Branch and Poppy are in charge of him. Poppy has a little stroller with a sunshade, and Branch is happily carrying the baby bag so the stroller isn’t too heavy to push. At first, everyone’s mortified cause they thing that their baby siblings have gone off and had a whole baby without telling them, but they quickly notice the “Tiny Diamond” printed across the baby bag and realize it’s in fact their siblings’ close friend’s baby that they’ve heard so much about.
Viva making the kid candy necklaces only to be quickly shut down by Clay who explains that they’re a choking hazard, and they should not be given to a baby.
Bruce who has kids of his own and will invite Guy Diamond to drop Tiny off at his place when he and the rest of the snack pack want a night out.
JD who is terrified of children after how much he feels like he screwed up with Branch, but is still infatuated by the little boy and basically gives him anything he wants.
Floyd who mostly stays out of the way while the baby’s around but is the first to volunteer to put him down for a nap so that he can sing him a lullaby and rock him to sleep.
Branch and Poppy being very blush when old women tell them they have a “beautiful family” when they’re out and about, because while they do consider Tiny and all of their friends family, they know the older women mean something different.
Listen this AU is living rent free in my head. I have a timeline. I have a whole thing. I have backstories and modern world adaptations of trauma. It’s pretty fun.
It's Flawless, Really Something
Roy Kent x Teacher!Reader
Teach Me Tonight Masterlist
Tumblr media
“Did you save me that biscuit?”
Roy Kent leaned forward, hands on the plastic table, and smiled at you. His eyes were bright, and his black leather jacket hugged him deliciously; he was perfect, you thought. Stupidly, ridiculously, wonderfully perfect.
“Only if you’ve got exact change,” you managed to joke, holding out your outstretched hand.
Roy looked surprised at your teasing reply. Surprised, but also pleased. After your talk with Leanne, you’d made the terrifying decision that you were going to flirt with Roy Kent. You liked him, you knew that much. He clearly liked you, at least a little. And if he was ever going to ask him out, he, like any other man, needed a little encouragement.
With a content chuckle, the coach reached into his pocket and pulled out a couple of quid, definitely more than the cost of one chocolate chip cookie. He pressed the money into your hand, curling your fingers into a fist as his warm grip lingered.
Despite your immediately wavering bravery, you held his gaze, not caring that he could probably see the way you gulped at his touch. “That’s a little too much, Coach,” you hummed.
“Consider the rest a tip,” he answered, giving your hand a squeeze before letting go. “For exemplary service.” He tilted his head at you. “How long’re you here for? Do they let you take a break, or do I need to call the union?”
“Maybe another half hour and then I’m pretty much done.” You smiled, not caring that there were students, and parents, and other teachers flittering around. “Why? You want to buy me a lemonade or something?”
He shrugged and picked up a chocolate chip cookie. “Or something,” he echoed with a wink. “Have fun.”
You watched unabashedly as he walked away, to where his sister and Phoebe were waiting for him. He handed the cookie to a bouncy Phoebe, while his sister waggled her eyebrows at him. Roy gave his sister a shove before glancing back at you, his smile widening when he caught you staring.
As you were wondering whether Leanne would kill you if you left her alone, Mrs. Seling rushed over mischief all over her face.
“Teresa’s dog got sick,” she said in place of a greeting. “We need someone in the dunk tank, just for twenty minutes until it’s Mrs. Halpern’s turn. Can you do it?”
Shit. The damn dunk tank. Every year, teachers brokered deals and offered bribes to avoid having a shift on the stupid thing, treating it like the torture chamber it was. The water was gross and weirdly warm. The air was freezing cold when you were soaked. Students lined up in droves to try to dunk their teacher into the water, and, worse, dads lined up to see the results.
Of course, Lee chose that moment to absolutely betray you and busy herself with selling brownies to a student’s grandmother, leaving you only able to smile weakly at Karen and mumble, “I guess.”
So, there you sat, hating the fact that you’d chosen today to wear a light-colored shirt to go with your jeans, but thankful for the fact that your students had terrible aim. Phoebe O’Sullivan stood among the gaggle of children who were desperate to see you fall into the tub of water that you tried not to think too hard about; her uncle stood not far, eyebrows raised in amusement, trying not to think too hard about how you’d look once you got dunked.
Normally, Roy thought of you as cute, pretty, adorable. An absolute distraction. But the thought of you in a soaked shirt, material clinging to your body… fuck, he needed to get his thoughts under control. After all, he hadn’t asked you out yet, hadn’t kissed you yet. But fucking hell, his mind was racing as he tried not to turn into a teenage boy with fantasies of a beautiful teacher in a wet t-shirt.
“Uncle Roy, you should try!”
Phoebe’s little voice dragged him out of his increasingly adult thoughts. “Hmm?” He stared at the ball in his niece’s outstretched hand, quickly comprehending what she’d just said. “Oh. Sure.”
He stepped up after watching one of Phoebe’s classmates throw a very wild pitch. Your eyes found his, carrying a mixture of amusement and embarrassment. He knew he could hit that stupid red target; he was a retired athlete, after all. A flick of his wrist, and you’d be soaked from head to toe.
But he saw the way Jack Price’s dad was leering at you, the way that fucker always did when his wife wasn’t around. And he felt that tightness in his chest again, the tightness he’d had that day at the zoo when he watched that skeeze put his hand on your shoulder. No way was Roy going to let slime see his personal fantasy.
Besides, you’d probably appreciate Roy not dunking you, right? It’d be rather gentlemanly. And you seemed like the type that wanted a gentleman. And Roy wanted to be what you wanted.
So, he gently tossed the ball, shrugging at you when it hit the backboard instead of the target.
“Thank you,” you mouthed, warming away that tightness in his chest. The relief and gratitude on your face was worth looking like he couldn’t throw a damn ball, as well as the fifty pence the ball had cost.
As he pondered how he could leverage his chivalrous gesture to finally ask you on a date, someone tapped his shoulder.
Jack Price’s dad smiled at him, that stupid, sharkish smile, tossing a ball up and down. “Guess you’re not as good at pitching as kicking, hmm?” he joked, as if they were the kind of people who joked with each other. “Watch and learn.”
Your gasp was sharp as you felt the bench disappear from under you and were instantly underwater. Dammit. You’d almost made it the full twenty minutes dry as a bone. Fucking Mr. Price and his fucking cricket hobby. You came back up rapidly, cheeks burning as the kids cheered on the sight of seeing their beloved teacher soaked.
To add insult to injury, Mrs. Halpern stood beside the dunk tank, ready to take your place. You clambered out of the dunk tank, shivering in the approaching evening air. All you wanted to do now was go home, shower, and put on your warmest pajamas. Never mind letting Roy Kent buy you a lemonade. You were cold, wet, and, admittedly, a little embarrassed by the way your shirt clung to your skin.
But you grabbed your things and put on that fake smile for your students who giggled over your misfortune and tried to make a speedy exit. Unfortunately, Mr. Price slowed down your plans.
“No hard feelings, right?” he hummed, eyes everywhere but your face. “It’s for a good cause, after all.”
Instinctively, you crossed your arms, attempting to hide as much as you could. “Of course,” you murmured, making a pathetic attempt to sidestep him.
He blocked your path, eyeing your figure. “Need help with those wet clothes?” he whispered as his hand landed on your shoulder, the way it had at the zoo.
“Oi.”
As you shrugged off Mr. Price’s hand, Roy Kent approached, peeling off his leather jacket. “You must be fucking cold,” he mumbled. Pointedly ignoring Jack’s dad, he wrapped the jacket around your shoulders. “How about that lemonade?”
“Thanks,” you sighed as Mr. Price scampered away. “But I should probably head home. Need a shower after being in that thing.” As you spoke, you did your best to ignore the feeling of Roy Kent’s jacket hugging you, enveloping you in the scent of whatever wonderful cologne he was wearing, a cologne he’d picked out in the hopes of bumping into you today.
“Sorry the jacket’s not more comfortable,” he grumbled, rubbing the back of his neck. “But you can just give it back to me Monday. Keep you warm on your way home.”
You shook your head. “I have a sweatshirt in my classroom. I can just throw that on.” Seeing the slight disappointment in his brown eyes, you swayed forward slightly, batting your eyes at him- something you weren’t sure you’d ever done. “Walk me to my classroom?”
There was that smile. That fucking smile, the one that was bright enough to make you forget Roy Kent’s infamous rage, the perfect smile you wanted to kiss right off his bearded face. He kept on smiling as the two of you slipped away from the fall festival.
He liked seeing you in his jacket. It was just big enough to look cozy wrapped around your shoulders, and he cherished the way you tugged it tightly around yourself. Admittedly, he was a big jealous of the way his jacket got to be wrapped around you. He wondered if it would smell like you when he got it back; probably like the dunk tank water, unfortunately. Maybe he could offer it to you again sometime. Maybe even after a date.
You quickly unlocked your classroom and led Roy in, trying not to flinch when you heard the door close, silencing the already distant sounds of the festival. Neither of you bothered with the lights, instead letting the last of the sun softly illuminate the classroom. Roy followed you to your desk, wondering if you wanted him to leave or stay, and hoping beyond hope that it was the latter.
“Oh, here.” You slipped off his jacket and handed it to him. “Thanks again, Coach. Very chivalrous of you.” Your smile was probably the most confident he’d seen, playful and teasing. It was probably his favorite smile.
“Any fucking time,” he breathed. He was fighting so fucking hard not to stare at you. He knew he wasn’t a married dad like Mr. Price or the others, and he was pretty sure you liked the way he stared at you- but still. He didn’t want to be grouped with them, a creep who ogled you like a piece of meat.
But fuck, you were making it hard. That shirt clung to you like it wanted you even more than Roy did, flaunting the body you usually covered with cute dresses and jean jackets- a body Roy really liked. You pulled your dripping hair up in a clip you found on your desk, exposing a neck that Roy was sure would look great with a few marks on it. And you gazed up at him with wide eyes and parted lips, as if you were going to ask him a question.
He cleared his throat. “You headin’ home after you grab your sweater?”
You nodded absently. “Probably.” You took a tiny step back, hitting the edge of your desk. “You sticking around?”
“Yeah. Yeah, I’m with, uh, my sister and Pheebs.” Despite his best efforts, his eyes wandered. Fuck. “Sorry,” he muttered, wincing when he realized how obvious it was; he might as well be drooling.
You cocked your head at him. “For what?”
He shook his head, ears burning with shame and, if he was being really honest, desire. “For fucking…. Staring.” He made himself look you in the eye, which was somehow worse. “’m sorry.”
To his surprise, you smiled. “Don’t be. I… I like it when you stare.”
“Do you?” His voice was quiet, as if he thought being any louder would scare you off. “Why?”
You shrugged and hopped up onto your desk. “Because it’s you,” you said simply. Feeling dizzy from the way Roy looked at you, you reached out and touched his hand, grazing his skin with the tip of your finger. “You’re… you’re the kind of guy a girl likes to have staring.”
There it was. Since the first day of school, when he saw you in your little white sneakers and jean jacket, he’d been waiting for a clear sign that you were just as infatuated as he felt. And now, in your dark classroom, with your eyebrows raised and your hand on his and your lip caught between your teeth, Roy finally had his fucking sign.
He took a step forward and settled himself between your knees. Watching you carefully, he put his hands on your waist, digging his fingers into the soaking material of your shirt. You tilted your face towards him, finally giving him permission to do the one thing he’d been desperate to do since the moment you met.
Your lips were soft, even softer than Roy had let himself imagine. He had often wondered what kind of ChapStick he watched you apply on warm afternoons; cherry, he realized. Fucking cherry. For the rest of his life, he knew, whenever he tasted cherry, he’d be thrown back to this moment, kissing the pretty teacher in her classroom, amazed that someone so sweet would kiss someone so fucking miserable.
And kiss him you did. You brought your hands to the back of his head, pressing your chest flush against his. His hands fisted at your shirt, tugging it up a little so his fingertips could brush over your soft skin, still wet from the dunk tank, but quickly heating up as you deepened the kiss. Roy let you take the lead; he waited until your lips parted to open his own mouth, and your tongue was the first one to tentatively flick against his.
He groaned softly into your mouth and let one hand cup your face, thumb caressing your heated cheek. He could get used to this, Roy thought. Used to your cherry-flavored kisses and hands in his hair and body pressed against his, and used to your sweet smiles and shy giggles and bright eyes. He wondered briefly what other things he could look forward to getting used to.
“We,” you huffed into the kiss. “We should go before-” Your breath hitched as Roy’s mouth wandered to your jaw. “-before someone sees us.”
He sighed against your skin. You were right. Roy knew you were fucking right. This was a school. You were in your classroom. As exciting and tempting as it was to keep going, he needed to respect that. After harshly pressing his lips to yours one more time, he pulled back.
“Let me take you out,” he all but begged. “On a fucking proper date.”
Your smile was brilliant. “That would be lovely, Coach.”
He let out a breathy chuckle, the hand on your waist giving you a gentle squeeze. “I think you can call me Roy now.”
“Right.” You giggled, that adorable bashfulness returning, somehow even more endearing now. “That would be lovely, Roy.”
Fucking hell, his name sounded good coming out of your mouth. It sounded so good he couldn’t help pulling you in for another kiss, a slow, tender one.
“Any chance you’re free tonight?” he breathed.
You nodded. “I just need to go home. Shower away the dunk tank.”
Roy did his best not to let his mind wander to that shower. “Right. Right.” He cleared his throat. “And I’ve got to drop my sister and Phoebe at home. Think I could come around at eight?” He kissed your jaw. “We could go get a drink. I can stare at you some more.”
“Sounds perfect.” With a teasing shove to Roy’s chest, you hopped down from the desk and grabbed your sweatshirt from where it hung over your chair, quickly pulling it over your head.
The two of you ambled out of the classroom wearing matching grins and blushes. It was a good thing your classroom was clear across campus from the festival, because it was painfully obvious that the two of you had just been pawing at each other.
“Be ready at eight,” Roy hummed, intertwining his fingers with yours. “And get ready to be stared at all night.”
“Looking forward to it.” You leaned forward and kissed his lips quickly. “See you in a bit, Coach.”
Roy growled at you, a playful, sexy sound.
Your laugh warmed his chest. “Roy,” you corrected as you squeezed his hand. “See you in a bit Roy.”
