Hello! My first post on the new and nudity pro Tumblr. I thought my first post should be a small collection of some of my favourite pieces which showcase my work, along with a short intro.

So hey! My name is David and I’m predominately a self portrait artist from the UK. I try to explore the human form and it’s connection to our natural environment. Using bleak scenes and exagerrated contorted poses to visualise the internal struggle of the human body and mind.

I’m also a fungi, corvid and foraging enthusiast, pursuing a career in environmental conservation.

Still one of my favourite self portraits, namely due to it's simplicity and showcasing a part of my body I used to hate, my back.

After breaking vertebrae in my back in my youth my spine was irreparably damaged and it's hindered a lot of things for me. However, I can't help but love and showcase how that protruding mass of vertebrae penetrates through my skin in the frame and the mirroring of that form implied by the tenderness of the ferns.
