Seeing how alot of the fanon avians kinda have also become test tube babies (experiment aus/theories), I like to think they just don't have some instincts and features a normal avian would have

-and this gives Phil, the resident canon crow, really bad uncanny valley. At first he writes it off as the others being other types of birds.

But then he finds out the others can't chirp or don't know how to preen-- he gets really suspicious. Phil writes it off with the fact they forget memories from before the island, yet it still unsettles him.

Its like a wolf seeing a domesticated dog, like a weird mockery of yourself.

Phil returned home after that endermen ear check redemption, someone redeemed a go fishing redemption. More distractions for the old man PepeLaugh

Phil this time returned home to FINALLY continue placing the podzol down. It appears he brought a chicken with him and named it Cluckus the Great(of course it was chat that made him bring it back home hehe).

Phil went back to work and was removing a bit more sand to place more of the podzol down. Someone in chat saw this as an opportunity to donate him bits just to say "wilbur sand eat haha". Thank you wilbursootfan2128 for that hilarious joke!(no)

For the rest of the stream Phil was PHILZAING on halo once again. Someone brought up red vs blue which caused all of this. It doesn't matter though, it was relaxing :D

Just realized I've never made a post about any of my EmeraldDuo/BorealTrio/Syndicate Friendship Emerald headcanons, so here we go:

Technoblade originally the gifted three emeralds to Philza, but later two of them were crafted into matching earrings for both Phil and Techno to wear. That left one extra emerald left over, which they didn't really have any plans for...

Until Tommy moved in with Techno. Eventually Techno crafted the third emerald into an earring he intended to gift to Tommy... but then the festival happened and Tommy switched sides, so obviously that idea was thrown out the window immediately. The third earring with shoved off into some dusty corner to be forgotten, just like any other sign of Tommy.

After Ranboo moved in and Technoblade started slowly but surely warming up to him, Technoblade eventually started to consider giving the third earring to them, as they'd become a pretty integral part of the trio by then, and Technoblade kinda wanted something to show for it.

No actual action was taken toward this until after the Syndicate was formed though, at which point Niki was also quickly becoming a beloved member of their commune. So ultimately what they ended up doing was splitting the third emerald in half and giving Ranboo and Niki each a half-and-half emerald-and-another-precious-stone earring to match Phil and Techno's full-emerald earrings. And now the whole Syndicate has matching earrings, all made from the original Friendship Emeralds :)

And here's a fairly quick drawing I did of what they might look like:
