Every attempt to definitively say what language is is subject to a curious limitation. For the only medium with which we can define language is language itself. We are therefore unable to circumscribe the whole of language within our definition. It may be best, then, to leave language undefined, and to thus acknowledge its open-endedness, its mysteriousness. Nevertheless, by paying attention to this mystery we may develop a conscious familiarity with it, a sense of its texture, its habits, its sources of sustenance.

Simone de Beauvoir, from The Second Sex
Text ID: In truth, all human existence is transcendence and immanence at the same time; to go beyond itself, it must maintain itself; to thrust itself toward the future, it must integrate the past into itself…

To get up in the morning, in the fullness of youth, and open a book — now that’s what I call vicious!

The Socrates Express - By Eric Weiner
“Look at you, a general who doesn’t know what courage is. A priest who can’t tell me what a piety is. A parent who doesn’t know what love is.”

The End
I want them to go through what I went through. I want them to enter a new phase of life with guilt, doubt, and hopelessness. I want them to feel lonely, out of place, and disgusting. I want them to crumble under the weight of the world. I want them to sit in the corner of a room, while watching their dreams falling apart piece by piece. I want them to feel anxious all the time. I want them to write and write the same thing again until their hands start bleeding and their head starts paining. I want them to cry at 3 a.m. while covering their mouth, and then smile at 4 a.m. remembering the past. I want them to know that everyone is doing better than them. I want them to be locked in four walls in a place they despise. I want them to know that their decision was wrong, they are not capable, they are worth nothing. I want their friends to ditch them. I want them to stand by the balcony contemplating if they should jump and embrace the peaceful death or wither while living. I want them to lose their skills and become single dimensional…I want them to suffer, cry, shout, and think of killing themselves like I freaking did…I want them to find death way more peaceful than their life. I want them to lose their confidence and walk like a slave around.
And when they cry out for help I will just stand by the side but never pull them out of that hell. I will just criticize them make them guilty and hate them…I will keep pushing them to survive in the hell….And then when I finally pull them out I will just taunt them until they say "I am sorry, I could never understand you went through all that at such a young age alone. "
And then I will just hand over the peace I found after years of healing to them and walk out of their life crying…because maybe my healing was not peace but vengeance and more I look deeper maybe it was neither of it but just a SORRY from them.

People's memories are maybe the fuel they burn to stay alive. Whether those memories have an actual importance or not, it doesn't matter as far as maintainance of life is concerned. They're all just fuel. Advertising fillers in the newspaper, philosophy books, dirty pictures in the magazines, a bundle of ten thousand yen bills; when you feed em to the fire, they're all just paper. The fire isn't thinking, "Oh, this is Kant" or "Oh, this us Yomiuri evening edition" or "Nice tits" while it burns. To the fire, they are nothing but just scraps of paper. It's the exact same thing. Important memories, not so important memories, useless memories - there is no distinction. They're all just fuels.

I have never met anybody who became incredibly successful in any area of their life until they have suffered and sacrificed and kept their focus until they have sweated and fought through tears and trials and tests , so if you have a dream and you commit to it
IT WILL COME TO PASS

... although Eden, then, is the ‘goal’ of human life, it remains strictly an imaginative goal, not a social construct, even as a possibility. The argument applies also to the literary Utopias, which are not the dreary fascist states popularisers try to extrapolate from them, but, rather, analogies of the well-tempered mind: rigidly disciplined, highly selective as regards art, and so on. Thus Blake, like Milton, saw the hidden world, the animal world in which we are condemned to live, as the inevitable complement to man's imagination. Man was never meant to escape death, jealousy, pain; libido — what Wordsworth calls ‘the human heart by which we live’. Perhaps this is why Blake paints the created Adam with a serpent already coiled round his thigh.
— Martin Amis, from Koba the Dread: Laughter and the Twenty Million, through the voice of Charles Highway in The Rachel Papers

Expectations are the root cause of all heartache. Very right. You expect a lovely birthday wish from your bestfriend. And what you get is a birthday message with apology the next day. My mistake, shouldn't have kept any expectations right?
You expect your patner to remember the allergy you told him last time. But what you get is the same order the next time as well. Should expect that right?
Definately we live life on expectations, but it doesn't work that way. Yes. It doesn't. You CANNOT BURDEN anyone with the load of sticking to your expectations. Its not happening. Maybe you as well are breaking someone else's expectations unknowingly. Someone is going through same pain as you are.
