Maria’s abilities lay with building; weapons, bombs, nearly anything—being able to envision exactly what it is that needs to be done to make something she’s working on run right.

During the war she ended up with a spinal injury that impacted her ability to walk, she built herself mechanical braces out a celestial bronze that both help her to walk and make fighting against monsters that much easier.

Personality:

Well Maria holds many of the same values as she did in her previous life, she is also much more vocal about the way she feels than she. Most of this is due to the different time periods that she was raised in between the two. Still, family is very important to her and she would do whatever it takes to protect and stay close to those that she cares about.

She is also a very stubborn and determined woman, when warned not to push herself after the war she ignored the medics and built her braces and pushed through. She had a set back nearly 3 months later and finally listened and started going slower, taking the recommended physical therapy appointments and letting the doctors assess her work on the braces.

Background Information:

Maria was born to an 8th generation legacy of Ceres and the god Vulcan, making her a 9th generation legacy of Ceres and a first generation daughter of Vulcan. Growing up she was expected by other’s to excell at in the Legion, more because of her determination than anything else. And excell she did, not as a fighter though she was as skilled at that as most basic legion members were; but as a builder of weapons and bombs specifically meant to kill monsters.

One problem she has always had however is a fear or earthquakes and hotels, something that no one seems to be able to find a reason for. Whenever these fears are triggered, she get’s slight flashes, like her soul is remembering something that her brain has no recolection of. When Nico Di Angelo came to camp in the beginning she did her best to avoid him, for the simple reasoning of the 2 Lares that tended to stick close to her warning her to keep away from him if she didn’t want her problem to get worse.

Though she wasn’t sure what exactly they meant, she assumed that they were refering to the flashes that she had had when she first heard about him—and the Lares had always steered her right before. So she tookntheir advice, and anytime that he would come to camp she was sure to hole herself away into her work room.

Unknown to her? When Maria Di'Angelo decided to be reborn she begged Hades, if she sees her children again please let her remember them. He couldn't make her any promises on his own, but with the help of Zagreus he was able to reluctantly grant her request before him and Persephone said goodbye to her for the last time.

Her body pressed against the man's torso, Persephone didn't dare looking a the other man glaring daggers at her back. She knew he was watching, not missing a single second and making sure the other guy wasn't touching her too much but he did, she could feel his hands exploring her sides and her lower back. Persephone felt a chill, something soft at first, then it was overwhelming. He was using his powers in her, teasing her, making her mind completely forget about the stranger grinding against her. She felt a lingering touch on her inner thigh, just under her already short dress. A whimper escaped her lips and she lost no time pulling her phone out of her purse. TEXT: You're not playing fair. Persephone sat alone in the Asphodel Meadows, with a collection of beautiful flowers she'd gathered during her journey into the underworld. It hadn't been easy to shake off her guardian nymphs, but she did so, and never had freedom felt so good! She couldn't remember the last time she was actually alone: no nymphs, no fellow god, or goddess, no mother, no father hovering over her and worrying over her well-being - just herself with her own thoughts.

The young woman reflected over what she witnessed earlier in the other field: Lord Hades, Lady Eris, and the dreadful Pandora's Box where Nosoi was imprisoned. Though she wasn't shaken over why Nosoi earned a place inside that box, or the sight of seeing Eris, the most disliked goddess around. Rather, Persephone found herself thinking about Hades, and how it'd been so long since she'd last seen the ruler of the underworld. From afar, she always thought Hades was rather strikingly handsome, and how she admired him so. He was one of the most powerful gods around, and someone to be feared. Hearing his name alone caused men to tremble and pray. Sadly, he was impossible to approach. Not only did he have such imposing power, but he always had a beautiful woman at his side. It also didn't help that her parents didn't allow her to speak to many of the older gods without their consent. It always had to be under THEIR watchful eyes.

She was a grown woman, and had been for centuries. Her parents' choice in suitors for her were, frankly, terrible. None of them made her happy, but they never wanted to listen to her. How many times could she tell them, especially her father, that "it wasn't a phase?" She could make her own choice when it came to who and what she wanted!

Persephone huffed as she reached into her blouse pocket and produced a single pomegranate fruit. She plucked it from among a grove of trees not too far from where Hades was. Not wanting to make it obvious, she decided she would only eat the seeds, then put the fruit back into the tree when she decided to depart from the underworld. It's not like the souls would eat the fruits.

Using her abilities over vegetation, Persephone carefully sliced open the pomegranate fruit, then sealed its skin back together. The seeds floated in midair, before swirling into her open mouth. She swallowed greedily, and though still hungry, she decided that was more than enough to settle her stomach for now.
